How to Upload Fonts to Cricut Design Space: Stepwise Guide
What’s up, crafters? I am sure you are thinking of something creative, am I right? Well, making crafts is nothing new to you, but there are multiple ways to upgrade yourself. Are you thinking about uploading a new font to your Design Space? Sure, you can do that and create your own font. The best part is that this process is going to be easy for you. So, follow me to learn how to upload fonts to Cricut software.
You don’t need to spend hours finding the right font in Cricut Design Space — rather, you can find it somewhere else, which is what I’m going to tell you about. Adding fonts to the Cricut app is an extremely easy process. So, let’s get started with that.
How to Find a Perfect Font to Upload?
Options for perfect fonts are never-ending. There are many places to find Cricut fonts, and some of my favorite ones are fonts.google.com and Creative Fabrica. On these websites, you will surely find some cool fonts. Apart from them, there are also some sources like
Creative Market and dafont.com are where you can get some high-quality fonts completely free.
Isn’t it great? However, not all fonts will be free on them, and to get some specific fonts, you may need to pay some money. So, if your purpose is to sell items you make, you can go for the paid fonts that often have a commercial use license.
How to Download a New Font to Cricut Design Space?
If you have finally selected your perfect font and you are all set to download it, go ahead with my simplest steps here.
Download your font from a site and check where it gets downloaded to your folder.
Then, unzip your font folder and then double-click on that file. Usually, you will get the font files in .ttf or .otf type. But, I will .otf file.
Now, continue with all the on-screen prompts on your desktop to get the font file.
When your font is installed, launch your the Cricut software.
After that, you need to create a new project.
Next, add the new text layer and choose the text box to add the text to Design Space.
That’s how you will add the font easily to your Design Space canvas. When you download fonts, your guesswork will become zero as you will know which font to use.
How to Upload Fonts to Cricut on a Windows PC?
Are you a Windows user? Perfect. Most of my work is PC-based, so I can tell you well how to upload fonts correctly to your Design Space. Look at the steps below.
In the first step, download your font file, move it to your Downloads folder, and get the downloaded file.
Then, right-click on the file if it’s compressed and choose Extract to get the files.
Now, your font will be added to your PC and the software.
You have understood the download procedure. You can move it to the Cricut Design app canvas by using the steps I have shared at the start.
How to Upload Fonts to Cricut on Your Mac Computer?
Well, if you are a Mac user, I have different steps for you. I don’t use Mac often, but for all of you, I tried adding a font to my friend’s Macbook. So, the steps are easy; let’s check them below.
Similarly, download a font file to your Mac.
After that, unzip your file if it is compressed in the .zip format.
Double-click on the font in your Finder window and let the font install.
You will get your fonts in just three simple steps. Now, you can do anything with your fonts and make great projects.
How to Upload Fonts to Cricut on Smartphones (Android/iPhone)?
If you prefer a mobile phone to use Cricut Design Space, don’t worry. You can also get the latest fonts on your device. Follow my steps below.
For Android
First of all, install an app to manage fonts. I prefer iFont.
Then, download your font and navigate to it under the Downloads folder.
Now, if your file is compressed into .zip format, get the file.
Launch your iFont app and then head to the My Font option.
Next, open that option to see the preview of your font and then install it on your device.
At last, hit the Set option to finish the installation.
These are the final steps for adding fonts to Cricut on an Android smartphone. Now, create your favorite designs with your unique fonts.
For iPhone
iPhone users don’t need to worry; I have a separate section for them. You will also need to install an app to manage fonts. iFont is a perfect app for you, too. Let’s look at the steps.
First of all, install the iFont app to manage your fonts.
Then, download your font and unzip it from the Downloads folder.
Now, launch your iFont and choose the Font Finder.
After that, choose the Open Files window and search for your font file to install.
Next, choose the Installer tab and hit the Install button with the font to allow the installation.
Then, hit the Continue button and then click the Allow option.
Next, launch your Settings app and close the iFont app.
Now, click on the Profile Downloaded option.
Finally, you will get the option to Install your favorite font.
Finally, the font is installed on our iPhone, and you are all set to use it. Now, you have learned the uploading process on almost all the devices.

Dancing with Visions - Our Song - Two-step - Thoma
Author Notes: My first Thoma fic! The two-step (also known as the Country/Western two-step or the Texas two-step) is a style of dancing that is often done to country music in common time and involves a partner. Notably, there are a lot of different variations on this dance, making it difficult to say exactly what the correct move set is. I wrote this fic while listening to "Our Song" by Taylor Swift. Just like the rest of this series, reader is female. I hope you enjoy!

I tapped the edge of my duster against a shelf lightly as me and Thoma both took a break from cleaning. While he was the main housekeeper of the Kamisato estate, I often came by to help out since the place was beyond large. Too large, really, to be cleaned by one man.
Or at least that was my excuse, considering there were other folks who cleaned the Kamisato estate as well. In reality, I just enjoyed hanging out with Thoma, and the Kamisato family were nice.
I twisted with mild amusement to look at the young man next to me, who never had been good about taking breaks, even when it was his scheduled break time. Even now, he stood off to the side, sweeping and humming some sort of perky little melody that had me smiling to myself.
“Do you like that song?” At my words, he twisted, looking over my way with widened eyes before laughing slightly.
“I guess so. It's a tune from my hometown that everyone used to dance to. I haven’t actually heard it since then,” He smiled as he explained, propping on his broom and causing my smile to widen at both the idea of him dancing and his slightly nostalgic tone.
At least I’d gotten him to finally take a break, but if I didn’t do something soon he’d be right back at working.
I laid my duster down, abandoning it on the shelf, and walked over to him before holding out my hands and smiling at him, “Show me?”
He blinked at me, his green eyes wide, before the full meaning of my words seemed to register, and he jolted. Immediately chuckling with a slight flush appearing on his face as he shook his head, “Oh, I was never much good at dancing. If you want to spare your toes, you probably don’t want to dance with me.”
I felt my grin spread teasingly as I took his hands in mine, swinging them lightly between us, “I can lead then.”
He laughed at my teasing words but grasped my hands in return, “If you’re that determined, we can dance, but I have to tell you, it’s nothing impressive.”
I shook my head slightly, half amused by his determination to warn me off dancing with him when he should’ve known he wasn’t getting out of this now.
I rested one hand on his shoulder and tilted my head to the side as I held his gaze with a smile, “I’ll be the judge of that, so lead on.”
He snorted, already swaying with me slightly as he rested one hand on my waist but continued holding my hand with his other one.
“It’s not really that hard, stepwise. You just step together like this,” He spoke quietly, looking down at our feet as he explained. And, with only his words as a warning, he shifted forward with two short little steps, starting with his left foot, before stopping with his feet side by side.
And I obediently shifted backwards with him, starting instinctively with my right and stopping just like he did. With my feet side-by-side.
He bobbed his head with a smile, looking back up at me, “Yep, just like that. And now you just go like you're walking backwards for two steps.”
He bounced our joined hands as a signal and started guiding me backwards at a steady walking pace as he looked down at our feet once more, “And one, two.”
He nodded, letting go of my waist and stepping backwards, “Yeah, like that. Easy. Now you know the two-step.”
I grinned, keeping his hand in mine and tugging him back towards me, causing him to stumble forward with a surprised, laughter-filled, “Woah,” as I tilted my head at him.
“And now we can dance since you’ve taught me how,” I couldn’t keep the amusement out of my tone, and he laughed lightly. Not surprised in the slightest by my antics, even as he shook his head slightly.
I squeezed his hand slightly, my voice taking on a more wheedling tone, “Come on, Thoma. It’ll make for a fun break.”
He grinned then, amusement creeping into his eyes as he shook his head slightly before meeting my gaze, “I’d wondered what this was about. You’re just wanting to make sure I take my break.”
I almost pouted at how quickly he figured out my scheme, “You never do take breaks like you should, and you work so hard.”
He tilted his head, still amused even as he looked at me with an expression that told me he had no intention of giving way to my pleas, “I’m not tired, though, so there’s no need for me to take a break. If I get tired, I’ll rest. If not, I’ll just keep working.”
I sighed, letting his hand drop in slight defeat, “Fine. I really would like to dance with you some time, though. It sounds fun.”
I stepped back, smiling at him slightly as I turned, even though I knew there was no way I was getting my way. After all, there were few as devoted as Thoma was to his employers, and his housekeeping job was just one of his ways of showing that devotion.
I didn’t get to walk very far away though, as my hand got caught in his warm grasp, causing my eyes to widen in surprise before I looked back at him as he sighed with a smile on his face that told me he wasn’t upset with me in the slightest, even as he pulled me back over to where he stood, “Since you really do want to, just one dance.”
I felt myself brighten at his words, and I chuckled slightly as we both reentered our starting positions before we started rotating across the floor with those simple steps he’d taught me, “You said you weren’t good at this dance, but you seem to be doing just fine to me.”
I eyed him closely, still smiling as he shook his head slightly, pulling his gaze up from our feet and to my face with a slight smile, “Yeah, but these are the simplest steps there are, and they’re the only way I can do this dance.”
He fell silent as we continued at the simple steady beat before he let out an almost sheepish chuckle, “It is kind of weird dancing without any music, though.”
I lifted one shoulder in a half-shrug, having already relaxed into the simple steps of our dance, “You could hum that tune you were humming before. It’s nice.”
He chuckled again, amusement flickering in his eyes at my words, “Dancing and now humming, you’re full of ideas today.”
I grinned at his words but shook my head, “Humming shouldn’t be embarrassing, though. You hum all the time while you work.”
His eyes widened at my words, and he blinked slightly before tilting his head quizzically, “I do?”
I laughed slightly, nodding as I answered, “Yeah, you hum all the time. In fact, that tune you were humming earlier might as well be our song with how much you hum it when we’re together.”
“I-” His voice died as he let out a flustered sound, and I laughed at his reaction. He shook his head though, meeting my gaze once more, “I didn’t realize I hummed it that much. It must be starting to get on your nerves if that’s the case.”
He gave a nervous chuckle, and I shook my head, “Not at all. I like it. It’s a nice song, but what’s it called?”
He blinked at me, and I felt a smile creeping across my face as I realized that, if his expression were anything to go by, he didn’t actually know the name of his song. But then he smiled, surprising me with the grin that curved across his face.
He lifted his hand, an obvious cue for me to spin, which I obediently did, only to get stopped with my back to his chest as he stopped moving us progressively across the floor. I glanced up at him in confusion, only to see him grinning at me as he answered my previous question with a single word, “Ours.”

Step 1: Turn On Your Printer
Before opening the printing device, you have to ensure that it is switched on and left on for 10 minutes. Then, let it cool down, open the front cover, and remove the empty and old ink cartridges.
Step 2: Open the Front Cover
After turning off the printer, open the front cover and press the Release button. Either way, the cover has to come off easily, and mild force should be used to open the front cover.
Step 3: Pull Out the Drum Unit
The drum unit with the toner inside is right behind the front cover. Grab the handle and pull it out while slightly pulling upwards to remove the drum unit of ink. Use the clips on the side. Be careful and avoid touching the drum rollers during the procedure, as it is the sensitive part.
Step 4: Install the New Toner
Take the new toner and remove its packaging and plastic cover. Handle it carefully and then shake the ink cartridge gently while holding it to put it into the drum unit so that it gets inserted in the toner’s place. That is how to change ink in Brother Printer.
Step 5: Push the Drum Unit
Your new ink cartridge should be attached to the drum unit. Use the handle to slide the drum unit backward into your printing device. If you hear a clicking sound, you have successfully changed the ink cartridge and reinstalled the drum unit.

In this post, we’ll break down essential music theory concepts like harmony, melody, rhythm, and meter, with simple explanations and real-world examples from popular music. We’ll also look at how these concepts come to life in the form of lead sheets. By the end of this guide, you’ll have a better grasp of how theory works in practice, and how you can use it to improve your music-making skills.
Section 1: Harmony in Popular Music
Harmony refers to the combination of different chords played together, creating a rich, layered sound that supports the melody. Even when typical “chords” can’t be heard in a song, they’re implied through the use of harmony. In popular music, harmony usually follows simple, predictable patterns, often built from a small set of basic chords. Understanding how these chords function can give you a great foundation for songwriting or production.

The melody is the main tune of a song, and it’s often the most memorable part for listeners. Melodies can be made up of simple, stepwise motion (moving from one note to the next) or more complex leaps (jumping over several notes).

The major scale tends to sound bright and uplifting, while the minor scale often feels darker or more introspective.
