Omitted some ships because they're controversial and I'm just here to stare at all of this.

The Three Gay Caballeros ship and DonDaisy are two of the most prolific. One having such a big following and the other is literally a corporate mandated ship.

Though there seems to be a lot here, Donald's non-poly ships are absolutely unpopular, lacking in content or have no content at all beyond fan discussions. Reasons for this varies from media accessibility to the ship being dwarfed by another existing ship that involves one of the two characters in it. It happens.

Either way, I just love shipping this unlucky white duck.

i'm gonna do a 2022, shipruary. i had actually thought of this (for awhile) because of a youtuber on youtube

before i start on showing anyone any ship names. i got to explain myself.

firstly, those who are anti-shippers you don't have read this or follow along with this as well in the future.

I actually had planned this for the longest. this was hold on for a few years (likely 2 or 3 years...possbily more) but i didn't have any ships to use. or didn't had an enough ships for 28 days of it. so, it was on hold.

however, i would have ships for me to do, but i was already in the month. so the list were abandon and i grew tired of those ships.

So, now i finally remember it and have ships that exist with fans or made up ones for fun.

Something tells me DT17 needed a fourth season to further flesh-out some aspects of the show. After I saw the finale, I was like, "That's it? What about (X)? Or (X)? And did they forget about (X), also?" Kinda' felt lackluster, imo. Your thoughts, if you want to share?

I have to agree. I think Season 3 got overloaded with too many new characters, too many crossovers and too many cameos that didn’t go anywhere. I would’ve preferred the focus to stay on the core family group and developing their dynamic further.

For instance, Della and Donald being home at the same time should have created a LOT of tension in the family but it gets brushed aside like there’s no bad blood anymore. We don’t get to see how Donald’s family reacts to him being with Daisy, instead we have Storkules as an annoying third wheel. We don’t see how Drake and Fenton met or how Fenton knows Drake’s identity, we just see that Fenton made all of Drake’s gear just because. We don’t see Launchpad trying to balance his life between Duckburg and St. Canard, he just vanishes after LGD and comes back for the finale like everything is normal.

I could go on but I think I made my point. There’s just so many examples of the writers skipping from point A to point C without any point B. So many missed opportunities and blanks we have to fill in ourselves.

honestly one of the things i’m most grateful for with dt17 is the fact that the kids have no crushes. I’m pretty sure that they didn’t in the original and i know that the writers kind of mentioned this with the whole “love interest blob” thing in dewey’s dream, but it’s so refreshing to see an animated show today where one of the driving factors behind any given plot is never “one of the kids has an unrequited crush on X and X is about find out gotta make something supernatural happen oops it went horribly wrong”

like I adore gravity falls to death, but even alex hirsch has admitted that there were WAY TOO MANY episodes that revolved around dipper’s crush on wendy. and even new shows like amphibia have fallen into this trap at times with sprig and ivy. i definitely understand why this trope is used so often (there’s a lot you can milk from it) but it’s nice that the ducktales has quietly sidestepped it

sure there’s crushes and romance, but it’s with adult characters: scrooge and goldie, storkules’ very real feelings for donald, fenton and gandra, all the people launchpad is involved with offscreen, the inclusion of daisy next season, etc. and the fact that these are adult relationships adds a different level of nuance to them too

anyways all that i’m saying is that it would have been so easy and almost expected for the dt17 crew to plan for one of the triplets have a crush on lena or make it so that webby has a secret library crush or whatever but they decided not to and that was really cool of them
