Java (She/they)
Tumblr media
The older versions asked Error if she named her clone after coffee or the coding language. Error will not answer, she thinks it’s funnier to keep it a mystery.
Java doesn’t have as bad touch issues as Error, but they do have some verbal tics from their glitching. Apparently being a glitch can do odd things if you try to clone yourself. The tics get a lot worse when they’re stressed or flustered.
Error taught her how to use the strings, but also many fiber crafts. Xena tried to learn too but she didn’t have the patience for it, and Java teases her about it. It’s not that hard girl you just have the patience of an angry rhino.
Java can use a staff, should she need to get in closer, but she’s also very resourceful and will utilize just about anything in her environment to help her and the others in a fight.
Between her and Xena, she’s more likely to try to mediate in a conflict. She’s also more likely to resort to violence than Error. Mostly because Xena keeps picking fights she won’t commit to and Java has to save her fool ass. Error keeps trying to get her to do that Less but with no success.
Cross & Error
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These two probably did about second best in terms of parenting. At least, Xena and Java still consider them family. They treated the clones more like little siblings than their kids, though. They were the ones who suggested the parenting support group.
They are some of the worst role models of everyone. ‘Do as I say not as I do’ but Cross in particular feels really hypocritical so she’s very lenient on it. Xena got her habit of stirring the shit from Cross. And Cross is like ‘listen either commit to the bit or stop goading people into trying to kick your ass’
Error tries to set a better example but she’s only slightly better.
They both try to make up for it by hanging out with the kids/clones and spend time with them. Xena and Java tend to call them their aunts.
Other Stuff:
I somehow forgot error's eyes were different colors and at first made Java's blue. i think i was thinking of Koroit. I realized what I was doing and immediately had flash backs to that one person who thought Byte had blue eyes
Java's alignment is chaotic neutral
error doesn't Big Stick as well as Java, but she does okay. Well enough that she can help Java with their training. She thinks it's a good idea to have an extra weapon skill just in case, anyways.
Xena and Java have matching tattoos on their lower shins! It was Xena’s first one and she was scared to go alone and asked Java to come with her.
Java has a pretty long scar over their chest from a sparring accident with Xena. It’s an old scar, and the initial wound wasn’t as bad as it looked, but Xena still feels horrible about it.
Also Java’s hair is actually really long and in a big bushy ponytail

Worldbuild dump - on gender roles (6/4/25)
Cats overall don't care about gender. Most animals don't. Everyone as instincts. Even if you can smell hormones, a trained molly can take you out as just as much as a trained tom. Strength isn't always an advantage like it is with humans. Size might be, but everyone has fur so you *really* can't use that.
A cat wants your name and will change what they call you if asked. It literally doesn't matter to them.
With mates, the question is "how is this gonna work?" and that's about it.
With the Clans, what matters is "what will take you out of a fight?"
If you're any kind of decent mate, if your partner gets pregnant, you will be down for the count. All your energy will be focused on your mate. You're not good in a fight when you're worried.
(Exceptions are also made for relatives and friends of extremely sick or injured cats.) You might be put on hunting duty.
EXAMPLES
Fireheart, Frostfur, Bracken, and Thorn were all taken off rotation when first Cinderpaw and later on Brightpaw were injured beyond repair
Sunfall never wanted his crush on Moonflower to be revealed but when Moonflower announced she was having Stormtail's kits, Pinestar took him out of rotation without even asking. Tawnyspots was tapped as temporary deputy. Sunfall was put on hunting duty for the entirety of Moonflower's pregnancy.
Stormtail was taken off rotation as well, but he wasn't as worried. Cats would ask him about his expecting mate and he showed... disinterest. They quickly learned to stop asking if they wanted to keep their tempers in check. Sunfall was treated as the expecting father by everyone but Moonflower.
RiverClan needed entirely new leadership when Willowbreeze was pregnant.
The elders chose two senior warriors with decent decision-making skills.
This was less the case when Greypool had her kittens and Oakheart "found" Misty and Stone. Oakheart wasn't deputy then, but Crookedstar was traumatized and still worried obviously.
- Soot, Sorrel, Rain, and their mentors were taken off rotation when Williwpelt died. Firestar remembered how he felt when he didn't know if Cinder would live or not and combined that with how he felt when Silverstream died (because it was in a traumatizing manner) and figured he should take everyone involved out of rotation.
Cats were surprisingly gentle with him too, and it took him until he saw Sandstorm to figure out that he must be worrying obviously.
He repeated the move when Sorrel injured her leg. He expected the Kin Cares by then and let his deputy take point on leading. (Greystripe has to earn that shit. Probably gonna be Mousefur or something)
The Kin Cares customs are why healers are typically asked to dedicate themselves entirely to StarClan. "Can't act erratic if there's no one you 'care' about."
The "runaway" debacle with Leafpool very clearly showed the Clans the errors of their ways‏ ‏‎
(Fireheart always thought it was stupid but he was outnumbered) and by the time The Three were revealed to be Leafpool's, the only surprise was that she actually *had kittens*.

Cricketjump
Without clothes, full body, symmetrical except by the hind leg:
Tumblr media
With clothes, full body:
Tumblr media
Info:
Names: Cricket, Cricketpaw, Cricketjump
Name meaning:
-Cricket- This name was chosen for them, since they were the runt of the litter, and was very small when they were born
-Jump- They can jump very high and far, so this suffix was chosen for them
Gender: Nonbinary(They/them)
Clan: Thunderclan
Rank: Hunter
Description: Blue grey cat, with a white hind leg, and amber eyes
Former Mentor: Star Bluefur
Apprentice: Icepaw
Family:
Mother: Dappletail
Father: Stormtail
Brother: Featherdapple(Rewrite Dappletail's deaf kit)
Half siblings: Snowfang(Rewrite Snowfur), Star Bluefur
Other kin: Mossflower, Stonefur, Mistfoot and Whitestorm(Half nieces and nephews)
About them
Cricketjump is a pacifist at heart, they don't like the simple idea of hurting another cat, but without any interest in herbs or caring for kits, their heart was set on being a hunter pretty early on as a kit.
But still, their mentor was Bluefur(the deputy at the time), since Star Sunfall wanted to both of them to have a closer relationship, since Bluefur father was the same as Cricketpaw, Stormtail, but Stormtail moved on to Dappletail after Moonflower's death pretty quickly, so that with the fact that he was an absent father, created a strained relationship between his daughters and new kits, since Snow and Blue didn't saw them as siblings, more as their father new kits with Dappletail.
Star Sunfall strategy worked, even when the start of Cricketpaw apprenticeship was a little awkward between them, they slowly warmed up to each other, with Cricketpaw being more open towards their clammates, as they have been very isolated as a kit, and only interacting with their brother.
Suprisingly, they earned their hunter's name early compared to their brother, and as Cricketjump, they continued their duties, till Into the wild, getting Icepaw as an apprentice.
Author notes
In some of my ideas, i was very tempted to make Cricketjump Graystripe's parent, but i decided against it, since Graystripe would be related to Silverstream then(as Bluefur still has kits with Oakheart, that is the brother of Crookedstar, who's Silverstream's father), so i will be sticking with Willowpelt being his mom for now, and with Cricketjump being childfree.
I want to make Cricketjump helps Icepaw with being more of his own cat, than following his brother's shadow, Firepaw, so they would do that, helping he socialize more, exactly like how Bluefur helped them, so this would create a nice little cicle, and also, i don't know if i make Icepaw a warrior later in life, so the famous Tigerclaw death can still happen, or if i should give it to Firepaw instead, anyway.
Their clothes were a little easier to choose compared to the other cats, since i think the straw hat combines with them, only the two green scarves that look a little odd.
Also, they are a kit created by Su susann, that later was confirmed as canon in the family, as Dappletail's and Runningwind's kit, but i changed it to Stormtail as their sire, because of their interactions in Bluestar's prophecy, and that Cricketkit and Featherkit looks the almost a exact copy of his other daughters.
And curiosity, Cricketkit in Su susann original description, was a brown dappled she-cat with one white hindleg and orange eyes, the kit died as a stillborn. So for Cricket to not look like a big Bluefur copy, i included the white hindleg and orange eyes on their design.
Note: If there's any grammar errors, tell me and i will fix it

Raye’s Dumbass Questions and Spiels 2# - Sunstar and Nightstar
Hello everyone, this post is going to be a little more critical/analytical since it’s about something that isn’t noticed or talked about that much.
So you remember Sunstar and Nightstar, right? Sunstar of Thunderclan (formerly known as Sunfall) who came from Bluestar’s Prophecy who was Bluestar’s mentor and took over as leader after Pinestar left and Nightstar of Shadowclan (formerly known as Nightpelt) who was an elder that helped drive out Brokenstar and became leader.
Now surprisingly, these two cats have similarities to each other, particularly in the way they became leader of their clans.
Lets start with Sunstar.
Sunstar was the deputy of Thunderclan when Pinestar was the leader at the time. When Pinestar left the clans to become a kittypet, Sunstar was still able to become leader despite Pinestar (the previous leader) still being alive.
Moving on from Sunstar, we have Nightstar. Nightstar was an elder who was driven out along with other elders by Brokenstar to hunt and fend for themselves. He helped with driving out Brokenstar and became leader in his place despite Brokenstar still being alive.
As you can see, these two both became leaders even though the previous leaders were alive. However, there is one glaring difference.
Sunstar got 8 lives during his ceremony despite Pinestar being alive, while Nightstar got NOTHING because Brokenstar was still alive during that time period.
Even tough Sunstar and Nightstar became leaders while the previous ones were alive and kicking, both had different outcomes during their nine lives ceremony.
This is a huge inconsistency on Starclan’s part, why would you give one cat whose about to become leader lives despite the previous one being alive while you give another one who is in the same predicament SQUAT? If anything, they should either give both cats the ‘Nightstar Treatment’ or the ‘Sunstar treatment’ for the sake of being consistent and fair!
This also raises a whole bunch of questions, does Starclan have favoritism towards Thunderclan so they do all these special things for Thunderclan only? Did Starclan get rid of the whole ‘giving out lives to the new leaders even though the previous one is still alive by using the 9-(the amount of lives the former leader has) = X’? And if so, why? Was Starclan still hung up about Yellowfang giving birth to Brokenstar and decided to ‘curse’ Yellowfang more by taking it out on Shadowclan during a desperate time where the clan was still healing from Brokenstar’s tyranny?
The only real life possibility into why this inconsistency was made might be because of an error on the Erin’s part. Since Bluestar’s Prophecy was published on July 28, 2009 (oh damn! That was a year and 25-26 days since I was born :D) and A Dangerous Path was published on June 1, 2004, it would be safe to say that maybe the Erin’s might’ve forgot about the whole Nightstar thing while writing BP.
But that’s enough from me, I wanna draw and watch TV for a little bit. Thank you for listening to my TED Talk!

Reaper
A different take on Goosefeather’s powers, or rather a better explanation for why he had them in the first place
Seriously, what was the point in giving him that much foresight and not let him do anything with it? It would make more sense to give that to Jayfeather than the Goose man.
So here’s my idea, Goosefeather can see everyone’s destiny and deaths, and his job is to make sure that they happen.
The prey store idea he had? He saw the deaths of three warriors and some kits, possibly an elder or too as well in his initial vision. But when he pushed the leader of the time to make prey stores, more cats died instead of the initial seven.
By meddling, he cut off the destinies of a few cats who would have been great assets to the clan had they lived, now the destiny of Thunderclan would be reshaped.
Sometimes he would see a death and not mention it to their leader or medicine cat, but then the cat would live past their initial life expectancy which would cause more imbalances.
Goosefeather eventually realizes his purpose, as both a reaper and a healer. As subtly as possible, he would have to start prioritizing some cats over others. Two cats are in the medicine den, Featherpaw would try to work on one but Goosefeather would call him over to attend the other patient with him while the one who was meant to die slips away peacefully.
Featherwhisker never understood why Goosefeather did this, but eventually he learned not to question it. Its a process, Goosefeather has to learn through trial and error which ones require his meddling and which will happen on their own
The vole that Snowpaw caught was not a sign. Goosefeather knew that his sister would die at the paws of the Windclan medicine cat, and he knew it would have to be soon. The battle could have been put off for another season, Goosefeather acted too soon, but Starclan would not begrudge him for doing his duty.
Sweetpaw wasn’t meant to die, she was supposed to be a warrior, Bluestar’s first deputy before retiring, allowing Redtail to take her place.
That’s why Goosefeather was so distraught, he knew that there would be a bad piece of prey in the pile, that’s why he was frantically going through it, to make sure that Sweetpaw would live.
He doesn’t always fail, he was there to put in that good word for Sunfall so that he would become deputy. He was quick to get Featherkit’s attention to encourage him to follow the path of a medicine cat as his apprentice.
He even turned a blind eye to Pinestar, knowing that his true path would be as kittypet eventually, knowing that it didn’t make the former leader any less of a warrior.
Sometimes he didn’t get to have a paw in certain things, Tigerclaw for instance. Goosefeather had approached Sunstar days before Tigerkit’s apprentice ceremony, asking who had been chosen to be his mentor. Sunstar was hesitant to tell Goosefeather, given his history with the kit, but for once he seemed to be in a rational state of mind. Goosefeather recommended a youthful warrior to keep up with Tigerkit’s energy and temper. He had meant for Sunstar to take to Bluefur, not Thistleclaw.
When Bluekit and Thistlekit were born, Goosefeather was shown two very likely futures for Thunderclan. One with Thistleclaw looking down from the top of the ravine, blood flowing down the rocks and into the camp, eerily quiet for one as large as Thunderclan’s.
The other vision had Bluefur standing at on the rocks, but she was turned away from the camp, staring down the flames that threatened them. Though the flames circled around the camp, not a single piece of ash made it past her.
Though the analogy doesn’t exist in clan life, Goosefeather’s role was integral in setting the stage for Bluestar’s leadership, and more importantly Firestar’s. There were some cats who weren’t meant to live to see it through with Bluestar, and others who had to stay to fulfill their own roles.
Even as he slowly lost his mind to the horrors he saw and made, Goosefeather was able to set up the pieces in time for Rusty to arrive and fulfill his own prophecy to lead Thunderclan into the golden age.

Chapter 1
Well, here we go. I hope you all enjoy chapter one! I reread this like ten times, so hopefully, I caught all the errors, if not, I apologize.
Allegiances
Next chapter
Thistlekit was blown away by how big the ThunderClan camp was. Even from his protected view from the nursery, he could see cats of all colors and sizes walking around the camp. He could faintly pick out the scent of his father, Windflight, but couldn’t see him.
“Thistlekit, get back here, you’re much too young to be going outside,” his mother fretted.
“I’m almost half a moon old!” the small kit complained.
“And the cats out there are at least six. Now, get your tail back here,” she reached out with a paw to scoop him up.
“Alright alright I’m coming mom,” he moaned turning away from his portal, ducking under her paw and snuggling back into the warmth of her stomach.
“Thistlekit, listen to your mother,” Windflight chuckled as he entered the den.
“Dad!” Thistlekit’s sisters said in unison.
“Good afternoon my loves,” the gray tom licked each of his daughters between the ears. “They giving you much trouble?” he asked
“Always,” she said, purring in amusement.
“They’ll be apprentices before you know it Poppydawn,” Windflight smiled.
Thistlekit had tuned out his parents, putting all of his energy into fighting with his sister. Rosekit, the more adventurous of the sisters batted at Thistlekit, swiping her paw across his ears. He smirked, rearing up on his hind legs and moving forward with an awkward, stumbling gate.
“He is a warrior, through and through,” Poppydawn chuckled, holding her tail above her kits to let them hunt it instead of each other.
“One day, he’ll make his clan proud.”
------
Thistlekit sat outside the nursery, finally able to without his mother’s squandering. He watched with great pleasure at the sight of so many cats walking about the camp. His eyes were drawn towards the entrance where he saw a lithe white she-cat stride into the camp, a hefty looking rabbit nearly dragging across the dirt floor.
“Great catch Snowpaw!” A few warriors began to congratulate the apprentice, walking over and clambering over her.
Thistlekit’s eyes were locked on the she-cat. He watched her muscles move beneath her sleek white fur and then locked gazes with her. Her blue eyes swept over his frame and she walked over to him, leaving her prey in the center of camp. “Hi, Thistlekit!”
“You know my name?” He asked, tilting her head.
“Of course I do. I go on patrols with your father a lot. You’re going to apprenticed soon, yes?” She sat down across from him, a smile on her face.
“Not soon enough,” he grumbled. He still had at least two moons before he was old enough.
“You’ll be a warrior before you know it, I promise. You’re already big enough to be one,” she purred, wrapping her tail around her paws.
Thistlekit puffed up his chest and then raised his head up higher, “I should already be a warrior!”
“Oh yeah?” Snowfur asked, a playful look in her eyes. Thistlekit nodded before the apprentice had leaped onto him, easily pinning him to the ground. “Prove it.”
Thistlekit struggled in her grasp. Despite his size almost matching hers, he was clearly no match for her training. He snarled, less than playful, and heaved her off with his hind legs. Turning, he lashed his tail, puffing up his fur aggressively.
Snowfur pushed herself to her paws, “Nice move,” she said, sitting back down and smoothing her chest fur.
Thistlekit paused in his movements, letting his fur lay flat on his back and blushing at her comment, “T-thanks.”
“I’ll see you later,” Snowfur smiled, flicking her tail over Thistlekit’s ears playfully as she walked away.
“She was cute,” Sweetkit said as she left the nursery to join her brother.
“I, uh what?” Thistlekit whipped his head around to look at his sister.
“What? I have eyes,” she laughed, “You’re blushing.”
“I am not!” Thistlekit fluffed up his fur again, ducking his head to avoid meeting Sweetkit’s gaze.
Sweetkit purred and batted at her brother’s ears, “You a star-struck fool,” she joked, walking away from him to join Rosekit over by the fresh-kill pile.
Thistlekit refused to join his sisters in their mouse dinner, instead, he focused on the cats streaming around the camp and trying to ignore Sweetkit’s burning remarks.
Thistlekit saw his father sitting next to mottled brown tom, the two sharing a sparrow. Across from them were two she-cats, he recognized the golden she-cat as Speckletail but couldn’t figure out who the tortoiseshell was. Halftail walked into camp with Thrushpelt who’s sandy fur stood out against Sunfall’s ginger fur.
“Trying to analyze the clan?” Poppydawn asked, stepping out of the nursery next to her son.
“Trying to figure out who everyone is. Who’s that tortoiseshell next to Speckletail?”  Thistlekit asked.
“Dappletail. She’s one of the clan’s best hunters,” Poppydawn sat down next to Thistlekit, wrapping her tail around him.
“And the tom with dad?”
“Adderfang. Strong and brave, but has a thick skull,” Poppydawn sighed as if she was reminded of some memory.
Adderfang! What a cool name! Thistlekit’s eyes were drawn towards a flurry of movement near the medicine cat den where Goosefeather was making his way over to the fresh-kill pile. Thistlekit couldn’t help scrunching up his nose.
“Careful. Goosefeather may be...different, but he’s still a wise medicine cat,” Poppydawn scolded.
“Then why does every refer to Featherwhisker as the medicine cat?” the kit asked.
Poppydawn didn’t answer her son, instead, she pushed him back into the nursery, calling over her shoulder for Sweetkit and Rosekit to come back as well. Thistlekit protested, pushing his paws into the dirt in a feeble effort to stay outside of the cramped nursery.
------
Thistlekit snuck out of the nursery. Not very successfully as he tumbled over Sweetkit, but enough to not wake his mother. He walked out into the chill, silent camp and saw only two warriors perched at the entrance. Robinwing and...and..mouse-brain! Robinwing and Swiftbreeze! He purred to himself, proud that he remembered their names.
The brown she-cat turned to look at him and tilted her head. His eyes went wide as he prepared for himself to be busted by Robinwing but was surprised when she instead looked at the sky and then back at Thistlekit, giving the kit a small head-dip.
Thistlekit didn’t know why she wasn’t busting him and saw her whisper something to Swiftbreeze followed by the two laughing quietly. He elected to ignore her choice and walk around the camp by himself. In a few long days, he would be made into an apprentice and he wanted to look at the camp more in-depth.
His father encouraged his curiosity and said nothing of his play-fights with Snowpaw. While Poppydawn seemed to fret over everything he did. Well, him and his sisters. She seemed afraid that they would get lost or hurt inside of the ThunderClan camp. Thistlekit walked outside of the apprentices’ den, sniffing around and catching many scents that he had begun to recognize. Leopardpaw, Patchpaw, Bluepaw, Goldenpaw, Lionpaw, and Snowpaw. He recited to himself.
He knew deep down that Bluepaw and Snowpaw were going to become warriors any day now, they would earn their warrior names before he even became an apprentice. He sighed in frustration.
A twig snapping next to him sent him backward in fear, fur fluffing up. He sniffed the air, unknown scents clashed with the ones he recognized. He began to breathe quickly in panic, looking over at the guards to see that they couldn’t seem to smell anything. Thistlekit ran over to them and leaped in front of the two she-cats.
They looked down at him, half in surprise and half in amusement, “Yes, Thistlekit?” Swiftbreeze asked the tom.
“There are scents I can’t recognize near the apprentices’ den,” he hissed.
Swiftbreeze didn’t seem to believe the young tom, but walked over to the den anyway, giving a few quick sniffs around and then unsheathing her claws. “ThunderClan! ShadowClan is here!” She yowled.
Thistlekit folded his ears back in fear as the camp suddenly flooded with cats. He saw Swiftbreeze quickly tackle a black warrior to the ground, fiercely clawing at their ears. Near the warrior’s den, Thistlekit could see Sunfall bite down hard on a brown warrior’s tail, yanking them across the clearing. In the distance, Windflight grappled with a large bright ginger tom. Thistlekit gasped as the ginger gripped Windflight’s throat in his jaws. “Thistlekit, get inside now!” He heard his mother call out to him.
“Dad!” Thistlekit yowled out, watching his father struggle in the tom’s grip. He ignored his mother’s call and bounded across the flurry of fighting cats, leaping onto the ginger tom’s back. The tom released Windflight in surprise when small sharp claws dug into his shoulders.
Windflight recovered quickly and slammed his paw across the tom’s head, sending him reeling. “And stay out Foxheart!” Windflight growled. He looked at his son, who was looking at his own paws, now red with Foxheart’s blood. “Go back to your mother Thistlekit, and thank you. You’re a brave one.” he touched noses with Thistlekit before dashing back into the battle.
Thistlekit felt powerful. He had attacked a warrior. A ShadowClan warrior. Although with some help, he couldn’t help but feel that this was his first victory. He listened to his father and ran back to the nursery, where Robinwing stood outside, snarling and lashing out at any warrior who came too close.
He paused once to look back at the battle, where ThunderClan was clearly winning against their shadowy foes. His mother dragged him back inside and began to check over him for wounds. Her body was shaking, likely with the force of having to hold herself back from the battle. Thistlekit knew that his mother was beginning to long for her warrior life once more.
“What were you thinking?” She asked, getting close to his face.
“I had to save Windflight,” he defended himself. “I fought a ShadowClan warrior!”
“You got lucky,” His mother emphasized, licking at Thistlekit’s paws to clean them of Foxheart’s blood. She sighed, sitting upright, “But, you were very brave. However, the next time a warrior tells you to do something, you do it.”
“Yes, mother. I understand,” Thistlekit pouted, laying down, listening to the battle begin to quiet outside.
------
“Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the highrock for a clan meeting!” Pinestar’s voice echoed out across the clearing.
Thistlekit perked his ears, several hours had passed since the battle. The sun was now high above the camp. He walked out into the clearing, sitting close to the nursery with his sisters. He could see fur and blood splattered across the dusty clearing and torn brambles decorating everything.
“You all fought hard against ShadowClan and I am proud of every one of you,” Pinestar began, “But two apprentice’s proved themselves to be worthy members of this clan. Bluepaw, Snowpaw, will you both please step forward.” Pinestar himself stood taller, almost towering over the two she-cats.
“I, Pinestar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn. Bluepaw, Snowpaw, do you both promise to uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your life?”
“I do.” Their voices sounded in unison.
“Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Bluepaw, from this moment forward you will be known as Bluefur. StarClan honors your bravery and your strength, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan. Serve your Clan well. And Snowpaw, by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Snowpaw, from this moment forward you will be known as Snowfur. ThunderClan honors your honesty and your ingenuity and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan.” Pinestar finished, touching muzzles with each new warrior.
“Snowfur! Bluefur! Snowfur! Bluefur!” The clan called out. Thistlekit shouted Snowfur’s name as loud as he could. She looked at him and smiled brightly, purring loud enough for the clan to hear. Thistlekit could see Bluefur roll her eyes as Snowfur’s reaction to him. Does Bluefur not like me?
“As part of ThunderClan tradition, these two warriors will sit a silent vigil tonight, protecting their clan and reflecting upon their new warrior names and duties,” Pinestar announced to his clan. “And, in another beautiful moment, we have to honor the other apprentices for their hard work.”
The clan shouted the names of the remaining apprentices. Their yowls loud and filled with pride. “With one last ceremony, I welcome Thistlekit, Sweetkit, and Rosekit up to the highrock.”
Poppydawn gasped behind her kits, “I didn’t know it was going to be today!” She fretted, trying to quickly groom her kits.
Thistlekit escaped her tongue and ran up the highrock to look up at Pinestar. Finally! He thought to himself, barely able to contain his excitement. His sisters joined him, nearly throwing him off of the rock.
“Thistlekit, Sweetkit, and Rosekit, you all have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. Sweetkit, please step forward.”
The she-cat stepped forward, tail shaking. “From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Sweetpaw. Smallear, you are ready to take on another apprentice. You are well respected throughout the clan and I hope you pass on all of your knowledge of hunting and the warrior code to Sweetpaw.” Pinestar called out. The gray tom stepped forward touched noses with Sweetpaw and then sat next to her.
“Rosekit, from this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Rosepaw. Tawnyspots, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from Squirrelwhisker, who is sadly no longer with us, but you have shown yourself to be cunning and thoughtful. I expect you to pass on all you know to Rosepaw,” Pinestar stepped back when the pale tom stepped forward to receive his apprentice.
“I am honored Pinestar,” Tawnyspots bowed his head with respect.
“And last but not least, Thistlekit. The one who risked his life to save Windflight from Foxheart during our battle last night. He has proven himself ready to be an apprentice,” Pinestar said.
Thistlekit swelled with pride at his leader’s words and stepped forward, his claws scratching lightly against the highrock. “Thistlekit, from this moment on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Thistlepaw. Adderfang, you are ready for an apprentice and had a brilliant mentor in Harespring, who has also passed far too soon. You are a strong and loyal warrior and I expect you to train Thistlepaw hard in the ways of the warrior code and pass on all that you know.”
The large, dark tom stepped forward and bent to touch noses with Thistlepaw. Thistlepaw bristled with excitement and a touch of fear. He was finally an apprentice and he had one of the best warriors in ThunderClan as his mentor. He sat next to Adderfang, claws digging into the earth to steady himself.
“Rosepaw! Sweetpaw! Thistlepaw!”

My dear mother self,
What will it take me to become you? Giving birth? Raising a child? Or something more? Something I still can’t understand?
I thought of writing to you as I was going through my grandmother’s photo album. It felt strange to recognize the faces of my parents and uncles on their bodies of teenagers of my age, yet it felt stranger to examine my mother on those faded polaroids. In one, she was wearing boots, a mini short, and a crop top, all that while perched in tree, gazing at the camera with a blue eyeshadow deepening her stare. In another one, she was jumping off a boulder, wearing a pink swimsuit and a bright smile.
As we flipped the pages of the album, Grandma told me the stories which mom has never shared with me: her complaints about not having enough spare time after school, that jean she absolutely wanted to buy but couldn’t, these boys she wanted to hang out with but who were too old, the necklace she had lost in a school trip and felt bad about for months

Until this day, I had not really believed that I was like my mother. But the stories, and the blond locks of curly hair, the happy expression, and the round face on the pictures do not lie: I indeed resemble Mom, even if just a little bit.
This made me wonder: in thirty years, will I be like she is now? Will I be the same mother who forbids her children to climb trees, even though she did? Will I be the same mother who prohibits makeup, even though she used it? Will I forget that I complained about lack of time, too, or cried for emotionally important details?
Are you like this, my mother self?
Mom has reasons for every single rule she applies at home. Now that I am old enough, I do understand this.
Still, I wish she hadn’t thrown away my favorite lipstick when I was eight, or hidden the heel shoes I was gifted when I was eleven. I wish she had remembered a little more that she had been like me, once: a child with plenty of things she wished she could do.
So here we come, my mother self, to the lesson that I, a teenager, would like to teach to an experienced woman who has drawn her way through life.
♄ Do not forget how much it counts to experience things on one’s own. Mothers are wiser than their children, they know more, have gone through more, but nothing is more worthy than a lesson learnt by yourself. Taking your children’s hand and leading them forward is better than planting a STOP sign in front of them.
♄ Do not forget that you have hated how grown people make morals. A guided self-reflection is much easier, funnier, and useful. Children and teens would much rather spend time talking about how to make what they do better, rather than listening to a half-an-hour reprimand.
♄ Do not forget that you hated pressure, that you felt underrated and fragile. Compliments are important. Not too many; just one thrown at the right moment. During a pre-exam day or minute of insecurity, for example.
♄ Do not forget how good it feels to hear someone tell you that they did the same mistake. Teens are building up their character, their life base. Knowing that their faux pas are common, mend-able, or at least understandable, is a huge relief.
♄ Do not forget that what you think is not what everyone thinks. Your opinion is not universal, and much less always-the-right-one. It is much more worthy to teach how to recognize one’s error rather than demonstrating that adults are always right. They aren’t.
♄ Do not under-rate a hobby. Music is not less than writing, nor is photography less than drawing, or vice versa. We all enjoy varied things. We have to express ourselves differently.
♄ Do not start a conflict, nor let a started conflict last after sunfall. I am sure that you still like Louisa May Alcott’s book, so this line doesn’t need to be explained.
♄ Do not forget who I am, what I feel like, what I think, and what I like.
♄ Do not forget that you have been me, a teenager girl, with her horrible character and rebellious soul.
The perfect parent doesn’t exist, but comprehension does, and it makes things easier.
Again, I will ask you: what will it take me to become you? Giving birth? Raising a child? Or something more? Something I still can’t understand?
Will I ever be you, my mother self? I don’t know. But, if I do, I hope I won’t have forgotten how it is to be me.
I love Mom, I love her in the best way possible, and would not have another mother if I could choose, but I can try to teach you -- who surely is as stubborn as I am now -- how to remember these few things.
With much love,
Your teenager self.

Aster (he/she)
Tumblr media
Healer, cook, and martial artist. Also a little ball of anxiety 80% of the time.
He’s very sweet, but his social skills are ass. Blue is not helpful, and Temp and Glaze used to pick on him when they were kids. They are mostly doing it affectionately, but it didn’t feel like it. He’s closest to Wren because Wren was the only one who tried to stop them. Nowadays they all get along a little better, buuut

Aster had 0 reason to help everyone, but he ended up learning about Corvus and Orion along with the other clones, and decided he wanted to help. He tried to get Blue to teach him to fight, but Blue was like “,,,,aster i get nauseous at the sight of blood. Do you think i know how to fight.” Blue did however help them find ways to learn how to fight.
Aster learned Vadakkan Kalari, which is one of many styles of Kalaripayattu. Enjoy the wiki link. Anyways, she also learned healing magic, and uses her flexibility from her Kalari training to weave between and around enemies to heal the others in a fight. It took a while for her to figure out quick battle healing, but she managed. She’s an invaluable part of the team.
Of his combat skills, Aster favors a dagger, but he also can use a sword and a spear, and can take down opponents bare-handed. Oddly enough, when he starts fighting, most of his anxiety seems to go away.
Blue
He was really not ready to take care of a kid, and he knew it. He tried his best, though, even if wasn’t great.
In trying his best not to be anything like his brother, he was often overly lenient with kid Aster, until his better judgment overrode those worries and he’d suddenly be like ‘ok no, no more of that.’ He told her that he just didn’t realize just how bad an idea it was, Aster became rather afraid to try things. And very unsure of when something that was ok at one point would suddenly Not Be Okay.
When he was older Blue did explain the actual reason and sort of apologized for being the source of most of his anxiety.
Like I said with Temp and Glaze, it’s probably a good thing he had the others’ help, or Aster could’ve wound up much worse. He’s very glad they invited him.
He did his best to teach her things he knew, though. Cooking, fibercraft, yoga. The yoga helped Aster work on his flexibility a lot, which is the main reason Blue was suggested it. He may have offered earlier on, but he wasn’t going to make her learn. Once they decided to pursue Kalari, though, he was like ‘yknow, yoga could give you some extra flexibility exercises, if you wanted to try it.’ He still didn’t make her, it was just more of a ‘this might help’ than ‘do you want to do this’ then.
Other Stuff
Aster's alignment is Neutral Good
Aster isn’t strawberry blonde it’s just dye. he wants to be but alas, he is the clone of someone with a much less interesting hair color
The scar on Aster’s face was gotten during her lessons. She’s actually very proud of it.
Fun thing about Kalari, straight from the wiki: "...it is stated that the cardinal principle of Kalaripayattu was that knowledge of the art be used to further worthy causes, and not for the advancement of one's own selfish interests." which is,,,,pretty much exactly Aster's reason for learning to fight. go see the link to read the whole thing it's neat

other random sunfall shit that's either funny or important
Another cut because it's a little Long with all the stuff I threw into one mf Thing
Funny fun facts from the original dream:
In my dream this actually started out as Kai redoing Dreamswap, and then halfway through my brain was like 'actually this is Silver's AU' and completely forgot kai except for the art style for the mental image of everyone in the frozen living room. I forgot about the first half when I woke up tho
Cross and Ink were dudes again even though they're girls To Me. Which is so funny
dude the ice chairs were sick
The ice chairs melted when the new boyes also thawed out. very sad. The two Inks, single Finch, and single Cross were there and the chairs started melting first and they were all like "Cross what did you do" and Cross was so indignant.
Dream II momentarily turned into Reverie/OG Dream when he was revived and tried to write 'hi Dream!!!' on Dream I's old notes. we had to tell him old Dream was gone. I think he got sad but around there is where I woke up
Dream II had my awful cursive handwriting for some reason FDFDSFSFDS
Finch was like....i don't know really prim and proper?? He was sitting like a princess in front of the fireplace for the crack photograph. I don't know what that was about but that's the main reason I think he was supposed to get a new version
yeah the one Ink had all the vibes of OG, and the paint thing, just with DS's outfit. I don't know what the fuck that was about. It was so stupid (funny). Cross and the other Ink were much closer to the camera and Ink looked and acted more like DS, and Cross...tbh i don't remember. he seemed pretty normal. Maybe he wasn't though.
I never actually saw any of the castle except for that one room. it was just 'yeah they're in an ice castle. and frozen
Other stuff:
It was going to be cryosleep and not petrification, bc that’s what it was in the dream, but there is literally no reason to do that to them. Freezing Orion and Corvus isn’t going to made them stronger it’s just going to make them sopping wet and really dumb for the first hour after they thaw out
Corvus looks terrified as a statue :))
Glaze doesn’t respond to her name in donut shops because she just automatically assumes it’s someone ordering a glazed donut instead of someone calling her name.
Do you know how long it took me to push Corvus and Glaze together. Anyways Corv’s pet name for Glaze is Donut and Corv is the the reason Glaze is now actually putting effort into deal with The Maelstrom.
There were actually quite a few survivors from JR. There was even enough to keep it going (even if just to say we survived. There’s not many of us but we’re still here and by god we’re doing our best), but they were scattered and the few others Ink and Finch found had already resigned themselves to trying to make a new life for themselves in this apocalyptic hellscape that the MV has become.
“Alright you little shits it’s scavenger hunt time. Whoever finds the most stuff on the list gets a candy bar” - exhausted Ink at 11pm having to go on an emergency grocery run because 4-year-old Temp and Glaze eat way more than she thought they would and she is still trying to figure out how much food she needs for the three of them. No, they can’t read yet; their lists are in pictographs. Reason #99 why she should not be responsible for kids. She really needs another adult.
Ink almost didn’t bother enrolling Temp and Glaze in a school bc it seemed like a lot of headache-inducing paperwork, but the lure of ‘time to herself without two hyperactive children’ was too strong.
Xena and Java didn’t go to a proper school like the other clones, tho. Cross and Error just weren’t sure they could get Xena and Java to school. They did their best to homeschool them instead. Finch and Hacker gave them some basic shit to teach the kids too, because Finch was pretty sure they’d forget some actually important stuff. He was right btw. Xena and Java are lucky they know as much math as they do. They’re also lucky Cross and Error were willing to ask for help teaching them how to read and stuff because dear god
Cross really can’t blame Xena for not wanting to do this, but Xena hasn’t turned in her resignation form yet, which is the only reason Cross is pushing her to work on her shit. Xena does not realize this yet. Glaze is also seeing this and is very sure the older ones are forcing them to do this, which is why she hasn’t said anything.
All the older ones kinda decide to start training the kids to fight at different points. Finch and Hacker took the longest to. As much as Finch wants Wren to be able to at least defend themself, he really doesn’t think young kids need to learn to fight.
Oddly enough Ink took the second longest. She wasn’t too worried about it being appropriate or whatever to teach kids of a certain age to fight, her logic was just “I have very little patience. Kids test my patience more than most things. Kids are also very stupid. I should wait until they’re less likely to get themselves killed trying to learn how to hold a stick with a sharp pointy end.” She did teach them how to use their other magic, though.
Cross and Error started teaching Xena and Java about their magic pretty early on. Their logic was ‘if they know how to control it young, there won’t be problems with runaway magic. Just problems figuring out where the cookie jar went and catching kids swinging from the ceiling’. They still wait for them to be at least double digits old before starting combat training. And they didn’t use real weapons.
All of the clones have the same birthday.
Oddly enough, Aster actually wanting to help encouraged the others a lot. ‘You mean you WANT to be involved in this thing we don’t feel we have a choice in???
maybe it won’t be that bad.’
None of the clones realized Corvus and Orion were going to wake up in their lifetimes. Especially not this soon holy shit.
Had Corvus and Orion been more prepared, that one fight may not have gone as badly as it did. As it was they were young and inexperienced and had even less idea what they were doing than the others. They’re lucky they didn’t die. Hell they’re lucky it was only about 20 years and not 100. Or 500.
Corvus and Orion do have a destiny bond. Had being turned to stone killed Orion, Corvus would not have lasted even a second longer in that first big fight with the Maelstrom.
Also Corvus and Orion are both right about becoming radiants/corrupts. It would make it much easier for them to deal with the Maelstrom, but it would also make them much more vulnerable.
Worst Ending Corvus & Orion:
Corvus’ body is now made entirely of corruption and she can turn into a ✹goo puddle✹like OG Nightmare. Her body is very, very endothermic. Worst ice hands ever
Orion on the other hand is very EXOthermic and very very hot so like. Be careful
Orion is an unfortunate combination of Dream’s holier-than-thou-ness and some pretty awful manipulative tendencies. Obviously she is in the right, smh. But if she needs to do a little persuading, she’s not above using tricks and lies. She fights dirty, don’t let her talk of honor and righteousness fool you
Corvus is, surprisingly, rather honest most of the time, which doesn’t help Glaze when Corv offers to let her join her. Still, the corruption in her wants only one thing, and she will stoop as low as she needs to achieve it.
Poor, poor Glaze. She promised herself she’d protect Corvus, and now she has to help kill her.
The pair of them are mere shadows of their former selves.
ALSO hey here's a bonus Xena that no one asked for (even though i said someone oughta smh)

Sunfall Endings 1-3
Because none of these are really long enough for their own post, so why not have three at once!
Good Ending
Corvus and Orion can’t actually hurt the Maelstrom by attacking it with their magic, but they eventually realize that they can control some of its magic.
Magic, as with energy and matter, can only be changed and not destroyed. The Maestrom’s already in a precarious state, with its own magic neutralizing itself constantly. If they can make it happen faster, then it won’t be able to regenerate itself. It’d be better if they had Dream and Nightmare to help, but they still manage.
They’re going to have to go in spurts and keep chasing the thing down, and it’s going to take a LOT out of them. But they do it!!!
Now they just. Have to clean up the beasts.
They do their best to spread word that the Maelstrom has been defeated, and that they’re looking for willing volunteers to help them deal with the remaining beasts. There’s only like 8 of them, and a few thousand beasts. People are wary at first but pretty soon they’ve got a big militia type-thing headed by Finch that’s systematically taking out the rest of the beasts.
The little army is like a new JR, and I’m fact several people who sign up are former JR workers who’ve worked with Finch and/or Ink. Some of them aren’t super keen on Cross and Error there, but Cross and Error are like ‘yeah whatever we helped saved the fucking multiverse stop looking at us like we kicked your dog’
Corvus and Orion are very confusing for people because no one knows what happened to Dream and Nightmare, exactly. But there’s no way these two are them. But who the Fuck are they and WHERE did they come from??
Though, some people do remember them from when they first showed up. Corvus and Orion had forgotten that people thought they were responsible for the Maelstrom’s appearance and now they’re irritated about it again DSFDSFDS
Bad Ending
First the mentors die, and the rest make it out, but the shock and grief is quickly turned to placing blame and the group splinters. Aster and Glaze stick with Orion and Corvus, but Aster is very distant and Glaze isn’t helping with that. Aster blames herself for their deaths; she’s the healer, supposed to keep that from happening. Glaze blames Aster too, and even if she doesn’t say it out loud, they all can see it.
Orion and Corvus desperately try to keep it together, and get the others back, but one by one they find the remains of Xena, Java, Wren, and Tempera. The Maelstrom took advantage of their lack of unity and took half their number out with ruthless efficiency.
The four remaining fools spring for one last-ditch attempt to deal with the Maelstrom
but ultimately fail. Orion and Corvus are killed, the Maelstrom absorbing their positivity and negativity, and Aster and Glaze soon fall.
The Maelstrom now has no hindrances to stop it from its mission.
The Maelstrom ends up destroying all of humanity and monsterkind. Though this does end up causing the Maelstrom to eventually sputter out, it’ll take a while, and it’ll probably cannibalize the beasts it made just to sustain itself a little while longer.
Wow! I can’t believe it got worse
Corvus and Orion try to pull the Maelstrom’s magic from it, and they do succeed, but instead of neutralizing it they just let it sit in the air. They end up absorbing it.
The Maelstrom has been defeated, but now they have a corrupt Corvus and a radiant Orion, and the excess of tainted magic flooding their systems drives them insane. They vanish, and when the others find them again, they’re all fucked up.
Their only goal now is to eradicate all sources of the opposing magic, including each other. Perhaps each other most of all.
Now the others have to deal with them before they fuck shit up even more.
They can control the beasts now, at least to some degree. The beasts see them as one of their own. The negabeasts, which aren’t shy about killing their own, cower from Corvus, and will attack or hold on her command. The radibeasts flock around Orion, and follow her into or out of battle. The beasts only respond to their magic, though, not their words.
Because they took the Maelstrom’s magic, there’s still a sort of balance
but they’re far too powerful and any AU they’re in gets really, really fucked up. Especially if there’s only one of them.
Perhaps it’s a good thing, then, that they have a destiny bond. While one of them dying and the other being able to do whatever she wants without such Hinderanceℱ won’t be quite as catastrophic as if the Maelstrom’s internal balance had tipped, it would put everyone on a time limit.
Corvus and Orion only half remember that they can’t kill each other unless they also want to die. They forget often, to the point that they’ve beaten each other to the brink of death multiple times. It’s entirely possible they will do themselves in if left to their own devices, but there’s other ways they’re fucking up the balance and the multiverse, and it would be safest to deal with them as quickly as possible.
