Apologies for the lack of receipts/evidences! However, since I'm pretty busy with Eid preparations, I couldn't provide more so here are some of the tweets that were made after the official release of Chapter 256.
Lightning ā In the tweet below, he/she was translating Gojo's speech in the beginning of Chapter 256. Apparently this part was the most mentioned by the readers, pointing out the mistranslation made by Werry. Lightning was also the one responsible for translating Chapter 236 which received a massive positive response by the fandom.
Here, Gojo was explaining the Black Flash to his students. To make it short, he said that he can't just perform Black Flash at will because a certain degree must be met in order to manifest it. He then assumed that the reason why people think he can use Black Flash was because of his Six Eyes, when the truth is, his Six Eyes had nothing to do with it - which is why many readers pointed it out as "misleading" because Werry made it seemed as "Gojo cannot perform Black Flash at all" because of his Six Eyes, fully realising that he used it against Sukuna in their battle before this lol. Sadly, Gojo wasn't able to figure how many times he could use it since his fight didn't last long enough. (Click "view on twitter" for direct source)

KaiyoBreeze made a mini point calling out Werry's misleading translation.

F_flintFR made a comparison between fan translation and official translation. Fun fact: One of the TCB Scans team members replied to a tweet confirming people that they will continue to ensure that their translation is close to the Japanese version by referring to Japanese people themselves.

voyadays - Another panel in the same chapter other than Gojo's which received the similar treatment. Altering any JP words to fit into a different narrative will change the whole meaning behind it.

btmdth was simply dissatisfied with how Gojo's speech was treated.

There were more but unfortunately these are all that I can provide to you for now. I'm sorry if these weren't enough to convince you, but if you're still curious, type in "john werry" on tumblr and twitter search bar. You will find complaints on his mistranslation.
Some of the reliable translators that I know are Lightning (obviously), Soukatsu_ (A Japanese person who can speak and translate in English), Kaiyobreeze, and Kyle Scouter (Similar to soukatsu_). Usually, when the official release has dropped, they will make a separate tweet to debunk some of the errors and in a way- correct Werry's mistranslation.
not to be a rude person but I do think it is OKAY to not support JJK official weekly release on manga plus as long as John Werry continues to translate them. What I find concerning is that these constant errors in his English translation might have slightly contributed in the division of the fandom in two groups: "close to JP translation" group and "lost in translation" group.
A couple of translators (including Lightning whom majority of the fandom respected their works done in Chapter 236) had to come through and corrected several mistakes.
Therefore, this incompetence from Werry or the Shueisha themselves for letting his misleading translation take over the official releases should be reminded, called out each day - regardless of the day when his translation suddenly got slightly good.
In conclusion, I recommend you to read weekly releases from TCB Scans until Werry's translation is being replaced with another reliable translator.

One Piece Chapter 1082 - Initial Thoughts
Well this one took a while to get up, likely due to Golden Week and Viz saying no chapter for 2 weeks, but we finally got a scanlation from TCB so let's delve into it!
We've ticked stuff off with Kid and Law, Garp is ongoing, what's next on the agenda?
Spoilers for the Chapter, Support the Official Release
Chopper I don't think Nami will be happy if you eat Zeus
T-Bone Nooooooo! I liked that dude
Tsuru and Sengoku lament his murder as well
I guess it didn't help T-Bone's cause that he was in a kingdom dying of starvation, still why you gotta kill the guy who literally would give you the clothes off his back?
The Cross Guild's bounty system has put some unease in the Marines about people backstabbing them, but at the same time Pirates do deal with that on the daily
Hina shows up now, seems the only prominent Marines we haven't seen recently are Fujitora and Smoker
Hina tells them that Garp went off to save Koby, and took Tsuru's granddaughter with him
The wording implies that Garp is not in SWORD himself, he just 'teamed up' with them, even though his students are in SWORD...hmmm
Over to Buggy, congratulating the guy who killed T-Bone
This guy? I want to hate it, but he probably did it out of desperation, and I know T-Bone wouldn't have fought back against a civilian...I dunno I'm still in disbelief, sad disbelief
Buggy has a system of gassing up the culprit, then assuring them that they'll have protection by joining the Cross Guild
Heh, Barley-sama
The Cross Guild have a new ship annnnd it's Buggytastic, much to Buggy's distain
Yeah you shouldn't leave any creative designs solely under your men Buggy you should've learned that from the posters
The 'Meeting Room' aka Mihawk and Crocodile's torture dungeon where they beat up Buggy's head (settle down fanfic writers!)
Crocodile is still on his plans of Utopia, Mihawk's surprisingly okay with that though, guess a single state where he can just be in peace would suit his desires too
Buggy though disagrees with the plan, stating they're doing things backwards
More context in flashback to come with Shanks and Buggy
Huh, it seems Buggy's rift with Shanks is more than just the treasure map incident, Buggy gave up on Laugh Tale because he expected Shanks to be the one to get there, but then when Roger was executed Shanks decided against going for the time being, which kinda stumped Buggy
It's an interesting new dimension that Buggy's disdain for Shanks is rooted more in disappointment, since he feels let down that Shanks didn't follow in Roger's footsteps
But since Shanks is now going after the One Piece, and Buggy is deemed his equal as a Yonko, he wants to go to Laugh Tale first
Crocodile and Mihawk of course disagree, wanting to be smarter than just picking fights with the other Yonko, but Buggy notes that it's about getting to the treasure
He then uses the crew to rally his point, reminding them all of the reason they set out to sea
Of course the minions love it, so Crocodile and Mihawk have no choice in the matter anymore
Back to the Revolutionaries and there's a ship from afar
Each of the Commanders' subordinates/vice captains are checking it out
Cow Man is Ushiano, subordinate of Morley
Metal arm girl is Ahiru, subordinate of Betty
Round Checkered dude is Gyamble, subordinate of Lindbergh
And the dude eating what looks to be a glass bottle is Jiron, subordinate of Karasu
Sabo's alive!
Gyamble you made the bet you cough it up!
Oh they're Binoculars he's eating
Sabo managed to save some Lulusia people, including the milk girl from the Ace cover story
Koala is rightfully angry and relieved at the same time
He...wasn't on Lulusia when it happened? But we saw him in the light...We haven't seen Catarina Devon for a while...though he did know the people's names
Sabo is having a private convo with Ivankov and Dragon though, noting that what he knows could endanger them
Okay Oda, are you REALLY gonna tell us what happened in the Reverie? Or are you gonna move to another situation and follow up with the Revolutionaries after Sabo's told them?
A lot going down in that chapter, as I suspected though still not done with the external plots, I must admit I do miss my merry band of pirates.
Still in disbelief about T-Bone though, might be one of the 5 fans he has but he was a good guy, one of the few good marines in that whole shindig and to be off-screened like that it just doesn't sit well with me. A big part of me hopes it's some kind of con, and maybe T-Bone faked his death so the people would have money, but that's me being Carrot4Nakama levels of hopeful.
Strangely enough Crocodile and Mihawk did lose points for me, they feel like quitters compared to Buggy's impassioned speech about pursuing the very top of your desires. I suppose Mihawk is less so since he's already the top of his field, but Crocodile feels like he just wants to be a king, even though we know from Miss Goldenweek's (coincidence?) cover story that Crocodile's dream is to be Pirate King. Buggy won some charisma points there, but you had T-Bone killed so minus points for that too! Strangely though I didn't lose points on Shanks, understanding more about why Buggy is mad was illuminating and adds more points there but part of me feels like Shanks knew something Buggy didn't, we never know what Roger said to him after returning from Laugh Tale, Roger also wanted his son to be the one who would shake the world, and Rayleigh even said 'we were too early', so I don't feel like Shanks is a quitter as much, he was waiting for the right moment.
I had no doubts that Sabo was alive, but I am curious about his comment of not being at Lulusia during the incident. He did save a bunch of people so I am more inclined to believe it's actually him, but there is that seed of doubt.
While there's 'no break next week' for Oda there might be one for Shonen Jump so we'll monitor that situation, but it feels like the most earth shattering twists of this arc are still lying in wait.

The way that MK's thread made me not want to watch Headless anymore lmaoo. She's gotta stop with the man vs. woman thing acting like that is the only reason they aren't super successful. It's just a tough business and TCB is all male but isn't super successful either so like??? Every time she says shit like this, it makes me like them less. ESPECIALLY since she says this stuff like ALL the time
Literally, out of spite š Obviously Iām not going to because it is a good show and I support the rest of the team but Iām with you. It is just so absurd to say when theyāre such close collaborators with TCB who are fighting just as hard to get what they deserve but manage not to sound entitled about it. It is SO tough and luck has a lot to do with it as much as it would be great if it was just based on hard work and talent, but itās like she still doesnāt understand that

I talk about random things Part 4
Spoilers below for FASTPAST episodes (I unlocked it because I saw nightmare Akira on the thumbnail cover.)
^^(I was right)
So.
Helena and Coma are a confirmed Rank Duo, they fight their battles together as a team. Of course, individually theyāre powerful too, and they can battle independently (as seen one of the previous chapters when Coma mentions that they overestimated the nightmare enemy and shouldnāt have both came to fight) and are ranked 12-13.Ā
Helenaās a witch with fire elemental and summoning magic, while Coma is a tech-mechanic user with skills similar to Ultimate Healerās true form. Coma provides back up while Helena is the main attacker. Their strategy from what I see is taking high ground using Comaās warplanes, Coma providing cover until Helena can unleash attacks. In terms of Lucid Adventure stats:
Helena (Dealer/MAG/Orb) and Coma (Supp/Phy/Ranged)
This confirms that there can be rank teams, or rank duos at least, which also opens up the opportunity of TCB to be a rank team. Individually, theyāre not good at 1v1 combat, but together they have a really high combat potential. Both Bibiās and Tempestās skills in combat require team play and Coco and Soup are not experienced enough to go 1v1. TCB is pretty important to the plot, so Iām surprised none of them have at least top 1000 rank yet.Ā
I like how in terms of personality, design and ability, Coma and Helena are so far apart, yet work so well together. Iām curious on how they do Ranker-Ranker battles though, or do they just do vs Nightmare battles? Do they fighter other Ranker teams for rank placements?Ā
Nightmare!Akira (NMAkira)Ā is the new nightmare introduced who battles both Coma and Helena together in this chapter (S2E59). Iām not too sure of og!Akiraās personality, so Iām not sure if nm!Akiraās personality is accurate enough. Nm!Akira is confident, and aggressive, but og!Akira also gives off this really smug and aloof feel.
Akira, Yopi and Master Swordsman are all previous Combat Tournament winners. By the looks of it, they should be somewhat similar ranked, with the only placeholder we have being Master Swordsman in 4th rank (currently). Additionally, Team Dark only won the Tournament because of HCLW being in prime form, so itās expected that og!Yopi and og!Akiraās ranks to be somewhere within 1st-10th. So, nm!Akira would definitely be stronger than Coma and Helena.Ā
He does defeat Helena and Coma easily, knocking Helena out and destroying Comaās bots, but I still find it sort of unfair how easily he did so. Nightmares are naturally strong, of course, but with the 2 year period and how ogs were said to be levelling up much quicker than nightmare versions, I donāt see why nm!Akira and Coma + Helena were not at least on somewhat equal levels. Helena and Coma and the rest of the rankers were pretty hyped up, so I find it kinda anticlimatic that some baseball dude knocked them both out (heās a physical attacker going against a mage/ranged combo, jeez).
Itās also mentioned that nm!Akira is ranked 1st in nm!rank, which makes me curious. This would mean that og!Akira definitely has a lot of fight potential, but also that heās the strongest nightmare (which doesnāt say much, given that nightmare hasnāt been performing much). This kinda makes me curious where No Name is ranked on the list, and how both rank lists would look if mashed together.Ā
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
āThose who boast about being the best will go down one by one.ā
Cue pics of Ham (rank 2), Stone (rank 1), and Gangrim (rank 5).
Obviously, theyāre referring to the rank system when they name these characters. It makes me curious that Master Swordsman (4th) and Dark (3rd) are not mentioned, either because theyāre familiar characters and the author is taking the opportunity to mention the other top 5 rankers, or because they are really just ānot boastfulā about their ranks. However, not much is known about the rankers that ARE mentioned, so we canāt assume that the three of them are actually arrogant or anything.Ā
Maybe nightmare is just referring to the ranks being flaunted, making them seem boastful about their positions, or maybe itās just nightmareās bias against the originals that makes them portray the rankers as such.Ā
Stone does strike me as a sort of arrogant person, but rightfully so, as he mentions that heās bored that no one is powerful enough to prove as a challenge to him. He wants to meet HCLW to see who is stronger, which makes him look like a pretty proud person to me.Ā
Ham and Gangrim both belong to Giga, but they donāt give off a really proud vibe to me (granted, they havenāt said or done anything at all), but their designs and personality in the little mentions of them make me feel like theyāre the cold, aloof types.Ā
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nightmare!Oz & Goldy and Nightmare!Bamboo Spearman
It surprises me that nm!Goldy can even imagine trying to go against Ham. Both Goldy and Bamboo Spearman are originally unranked characters, who didnāt even make it to the semifinals, so their nightmares going against Ham, whoās rank 2, baffles me. If not even nm!MSM can compare (at all) to his original (who is rank 4), how can nm!Goldy and nm!BSM begin to try fighting a rank 2?
Nm!Goldyās personality is quite on point, with her being arrogant and confident compared to original Goldyās shy and timid appearance. Her grin reminds me of nm!Tempest, both being pretty unhinged in my opinion. Itās quite the drastic change, and I completely approve.
Nm!Bamboo Spearmanās personality is quite muddy to me. In the scene, he still has this proud vibe going on, and his expression is one that I can see on the originalās face. I expected nm!BSM to be more like nm!Soup, both being uncaring and bored compared to their original hot-headed personalities.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In conclusion, I have no idea what Iām talking about as always and remember to take care of yourself! This is your call for a water break and snack break :33
Hit me up,,,,,,,,,, slide into my dms,,,,,,,,,,,,, be my mutual,,,,,,,,,,,, <3Ā
Faves and fails of SPN (season 13):
Favorite episodes in chronological order:
13:1 Lost and found - This is a very strong start of the season, might be one of the strongest intro episodes since the early seasons. Jack is actually instantly likeable, and apart from Dean shooting first and asking questions... kinda never, the boys do good. I also like the side characters, they make it clear that this couldāve been so much worse if some shitty people were first on the scene.
13:3 Patience - Loretta! Brought back from season 1 to die instantly. Oh wow. The SPN-way. But at least I dig the story. And Jody is here. And Sam is sweet to Jack. Iām fine.
13:4 The big empty - Cass is in the upsidedown. Jack goes hunting. Incidently, this discrepancy between the brothers is the kind I can get behind because itās based on something real - a new family member, the loss of another, not some abstract drama where one of them lets their fear get the better of them and creates drama w/o even talking to the other. Spooky space entity in the big empty. Misha Collins, everyone! Nice. A kind shapeshifter. āEven monsters can do good in this world.ā Dean communicating sincerely. āI need you to keep the faith, for both of us.ā Cass - An angel so annoying that the big empty itself spat him back out.
13:5 Advanced Thanatology - honestly the brothers, loving them extra much this season, even when they argue. Hung-over Dean. Fun. Killing yourself for three minutes... Jeez, have you learned nothing ? No? Oh ok. Itās just a little death. And Samās reaction is more exhasperated than anything, itās... funny. And then: āI saw Cass kill you!ā Yeah, like that matters. Also nice that the show finally ties up that whole how-do-people-die-w-no-death-thing.
13:6 Tombstone - STOP using ābut you diedā as an excuse why people shouldnāt be back! Coming back from the dead isnāt just reserved for the Winchesters you know! Team free will 2.0. Nice! āHeās an angry sleeper, like a bearā *spits out coffee* are you trying to kill me?! āItās good to have you back, Cassā to be constantly baffled by you. Jeez, the cringe! And the undertaker! Looking like a retro pinup crossed w Rosie the riveter! What a treat. Dean being a fanboy (and oh technically, couldnāt this obsession with cowboy-criminals count as a true crime -fad? No? Oh well.) Dean crawling through the ghoul-paths, referencing Die Hard. Good episode. Dean forgiving Jack. Sweet. Too bad Jackās having none of it. They *have* raised a Winchester.
13:7 War of the worlds - a torture scene is the quickest way for me to start rooting for whoever is being tortured. Even Lucifer. Hey, and itās also the quickest way to end up- if not on the fail list, then at least off the fave list. Oh, Ketch is back. Gun, mouth, now. Noooo, a twin! Shoot me twice. Fail list. Canāt be helped. Lucifer coming to Castielās rescue and burnin the brothers āwith their second-guessing and whining.ā And Asmodeus showing up. Luci being sassy. Oh gods. Not an evil twin. Iām changing my mind, it stays on the fave list- whatās going? Oh I know: itās an entire season of a soap crammed into one Supernatural episode. All the soap-tropes. Itās hysterical!
13:8 The scorpion and the frog - Dean insulting Smashās excellent shoes. I rly donāt think you are in a position to criticize anyoneās wardrobe. Smash and Grab are funny. And the setting is too. And the brothers are really excellently cast in their roles in this heist: Sam as the awkward nerd and Dean as Mr TCB. Dean putting his hand into the bocca della verita! Sam: āDean! Heās immortal!ā Dean: *knocks Shrike out*. Oh Dean. āI just had an idea, but itās a little crazy.ā āIām good with crazy.ā Crazyās the only game in town. The Winchesters and the curveballs. Rolling Shrike in front of them. Brilliant! Good ending. But Sam! You know how to kill anything but you donāt know that you donāt blow on a burning piece of paper to put it out? .... *shrugs* that actually makes sense.
13:9 The bad place - instantly liking this artist. Crazy about the premise 3 minutes in. And very upset 5 minutes in. Poor Derek! The return of Patience, Iām equally pleased and distraught, stay away, girl! And Kaia! And Dean coming around to Jack. Thatās sweet. Jeez, is that a helicopter shot. Hella pretty! Omg! Finally giant monster time! *chills* i have been waiting for this my whole life.
13:10 Wayward sisters - Holy hell. This season has been frickin awesome so far, and now I get all my babies together. Saving Sam and Dean. Finding Kaia. My heart is just full of rainbows.
13:12 Various and sundry villains - Oh no! I liked Dale. See here we are again, using actors from previous seasons: itās the chick from Twihard and apparently sheās not random enough. Ugh . Oh! So this is a goofy!Dean episode! Those are usually welcome. The setup for this is very annoying though. Thank godess for Rowena! Bringing all the truths. I think I love her. Woah. Killing the girls like that. Harsh. Sam being soft and giving her the spell. I love him.
13:17 The thing - this episode makes me realise thereās not enough tentacles in Supernatural. Gabriel! Back with the boys! Iām so pleased.
13:18 Bring āem back alive - Charlie! Gabriel! Lucifer! This is just a deeply satisfying episode. On multipel levels. I love the characters standing up for themselves, in different ways. Charlieās simple line: āthatās not your callā struck a cord; not everybody chooses to join your fight, some have their own and the right walk away from yours.
13:19 Funeralia - the right amount of silly according to Mr Mess and that counts for something around here. Sam showing genuine remorse at shooting Rowena and Rowena being genuinely upset that he would. Iām moved. And Rowenaās consession. The boys giving Rowena a pep talk! My heart!
Fail episodes in chronological order:
13:11 Breakdown - Donna is always a win, but dark and gritty? And monsters on the internet. Nah. Too much torture porn.
13:22 Exodus - have I mentioned that I donāt watch Supernatural for the post-apocalyptic scenarios? If Iām expected to deal with that type of grit Iām gonna need a whole lot more kissing.
13:13 Devilās bargain - Ketchās mere presence is enough to put this episode on the fail list. If heās gonna be in this show the least he could do is to regrow that beard of his. Also the fact that Lucifer simply cannot chill. Gabriel is back but alas, doesnāt make up for the episode.
Honorable mentions:
Og and Magog are two hoots and a half.
The animators making the brothers equally tall in Scoobynatural. Thatās adorable!
Camo-Samo in the final episodes.
Jack saying I love you to Sam in the final episode kinda killed me.
Mediocre mentions:
The rising son - Can tell pretty early that this is gonna bore me, and it does, but any scene with Jack and the boys is good. āWhat would Mr Rogers do?ā Good question. āDean feels like he has to protect everyone.ā
Unfinished business - always here for Gabriel/Loki stuff, especially when it involves both Gabriel and Loki. But idk, vengence as a theme... not my favorite. Mary is sweet though.
Beat the devil - Rowena and Gabriel, Iām just so happy. But wtf were they thinking leaving Rowena w Lucifer. That pisses me off. Almost so that I canāt enjoy the reunion of Jack and Sam. Almost.
Summing up:
The shining star of this season is Jack.
It feels a bit like this is what Iāve been waiting for, for the boys to use what they know constructively and practically and personally: when theyāve met people in need of guidence before theyāve ditched them with someone theyāve deemed as more maternal but now they take Jack with them, which allows them both to be big brothers. Thatās good.
Everyone Listens to Starkid, Right??
So, my partners (who shall remain nameless. I know you see this) have not listened to or watched any Starkid/TCB productions.
Starkid is a musical theatre production team that posts all of their musicals on YouTube, FOR FREE.
I will provide links down below to some of their shows, but this blog might become a Starkid Fan Page if Iām not careful.
Some Starkid Musicals That Are Great To Start With (And my Personal Review)
A Very Potter Musical - A Harry Potter Parody Musical. Some older Starkid Shows are split into a video per scene. This was the first Starkid Musical, was made when the members were in College in 2009 (almost 11 years ago). The audio and video quality arenāt the best, since it was 2009, but it is still an enjoyable comedy. As special of a musical it is in my heart, however, it has a scattered plot. It is the first of three āA Very Potterā Musicals. Draco Malfoy is played by a young woman, who rolls on the floor. Darren Criss, better known for his acting as Blaine in Glee, begins his acting career as Harry Potter. Made me ship Voldemort and Quirrel. 9.8/10 You wonāt regret it, This Musical is Totally Awesome!
Official Description: Harry and his pals are in for adventure when the Dark Lord returns from the dead to take revenge on The Boy Who Lived! So take a ride on Voldemort's flying machine and get ready to go back to Hogwarts!
Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizer - This Musical is impressive. Itās Wicked, but itās Aladdin. Itās heartfelt, but itās an absolute joke. It is, somehow, as traditional as Sondheim and as fresh and new as Lin Manuel-Miranda. Long story short, It may be one of my favorite Starkid musicals. Twisted focuses on the classical Disney villain, Jafar. The musical tells a different story from that of Aladdin, however. In it, the Sultan is an incompetent man, and needs his Vizer, Jafar, to care for the country. Jafar, however, is hated by the people, who donāt seem to understand practicality. Aladdin is not a sympathetic Diamond in the rough, but a crazy, murderous, scoundrel. Jasmine, who, to my knowledge is only referred to as āThe princessā is a well meaning, but ineffectual and oblivious at best and at worst, ditzy, and incredibly stupid. She is, however, an endearing thing, and I found myself loving her more by the 2nd act. 15/10 THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT, JAFAR!
Official Description: Hop on your flying carpet, because this musical parody retells the classic tale of Aladdin... from the villain's point of view! Long ago in a Magic Kingdom, one misunderstood Royal Vizier will go on a quest to save his city from its bumbling sultan, an invading prince, and the most notorious thief to ever live! With the help of the Kingdom's free-spirited, teenage Princess, the Vizier must find a magical lamp containing a wish-granting Djinn (who's really funny, by the way) and defeat the city's most-wanted criminal... Aladdin! This musical adventure celebrates and lovingly pokes fun at everyone's favorite series of hand-drawn, animated films.
The Guy Who Didnāt Like Musicals - A horror-comedy about singing aliens who possess people! Sounds fun! The first Starkid musical I ever listened to. *gasp* theyāre a... NEW FAN??1!1!!?? Yes. I admit it. I had never seen anything Starkid related (except for the Edgar Allen Poe Murder Mystery from Tin Can Bros... long story) I honestly thought, at first, that it was a guy who was ranting online about not liking musicals. Then, when I found out IT WAS a musical, I figured it was about some guy learning how to enjoy musicals. BOY, WAS I WRONG. TGWDLM follows the title character, Paul, played by Jon Matteson. This musical and itās sequel gave birth to a lot of what I call Baby Starkids. New additions to the cast. Now, I consider Robert Manion part of this list, because baby didnāt get enough screen time in Twisted, damnit. 11/10. Robertās Hip Wiggles. Watch, and youāll know.
Official Description: Everything in Hatchetfield seemed normal until people began singing... Then, they began dancing... And now, a musical pandemic is sweeping the entire city. Itās up to Paul (an average guy who doesnāt like musicals) and his friends to stop this musical apocalypse and fight for humanityās future.
TCB & Ditherer - The Closet Anthology | Album | Hip-Hop This is an album that deserves thousands of posts! Our dear pony musicians TCB and Ditherer teamed up for the loveliest of results: a 15-tracks Hip-Hop album brimming with passion toward ponies and episodes! Why, Ditherer imagined so many rich and deep backstories and headcanon to ponies, wrote a lot of amazing and thoughtful lyrics about them, and sang them in all those themed songs! That's a lot of pony passion and dedication and I LOVE it! Equally dedicated to the cause, TCB did amazing as well with so many instrumentals that truly shine, both in themselves and in accompaniment of the vocals, and if you know TCB you just know they have that special emotion that we get from TCB's music and unique creativity. Each of the tracks has something special, much emotion, and a lot of love and passion to express toward ponies, but let's mention Schism of Years about that fateful fight between the two sisters and its aftermath, In Loco Parentis about a deeper-than-ever Trixie, Farewell to Spring about Roseluck, Death in the Afternoon about Berry Punch's drinking problems and relationships, Multiple Choice about the events of the S5 finale, and so, so many others that have so much in store for you. Grab it all from Ditherer's Bandcamp, or listen to each track individually from Ditherer's YouTube channel! http://horsemusicherald.com/2019/03/29/tcb-ditherer-the-closet-anthology
Nobody gives a shit, git. (1)
Finally. Finally Iām gonna have the courage to say and post about certain things. And even then, nobody ever reads or listens to me but Iām gonna do it anyway. For myself. Whether anyone reads it or not, itās something for me to look back on in the future.
So here I go.
On a new segment I like to call āNobody gives a shit, gitā
(for many obvious reasons)
So itās the day after Singaporeās general elections.(Yes in the middle of this pandemic, the country decides COME LETS VOTE FOR OUR PARLIAMENT!) The past 10 days have been very heated with intense campaigning being done on such short notice. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE had their own views on this. So much drama and even more chaos. So thatās when I decided to do a little research myself to understand what the hell was going on and as a first time voter, who should I vote for to represent my constituency?
So whatās so special and dramatic about elections for parliament in our small island of a country, you ask? LOTS.
Firstly, I wanna talk about the opposition candidates.
I didnāt realise how many opposition parties there were but itās good to see a healthy competition in all areas. Before last week I knew nothing. All I knew is that PAP rules the whole country basically and WP ruled Aljunied GRC. This year I feel that WP had a stronger support from the public as well as better and more capable candidates. After all, youāre voting for who represents you in your area and ultimately in parliament. Yes PAP still makes most of the decisions but then the opposition is the one who stands up and says ābut why not this way?ā This in a way helps to challenge the PAP but also forces them to take a look at the publicās perspectives a little more closely instead of just a general view.
What was good this year is that there are many younger members in WP as compared to considerably older Politicians of PAP. This in itself reflects on the parties as PAP has been around from the beginning, gaining us our independence. Whereas WP has been wiggling their way through over the past few elections. A younger team, a fresher mindset, with candidates having different backgrounds and experiences, as compared to the (majority) elites of PAP.Ā
Now, Pritam Singh. This man. Amazing leadership. He has ensured his candidates exude class and confidence and respond gracefully. This is something I really admire about him. Everytime a WP member has spoken against other parties, he has made sure that they do so with class and not simply throw down PAP. Yes PAP has faults, we all know that. But we would not be here without them. And it is necessary for us to be grateful as a nation for all the work PAP has done over the years, instead of simply calling them out on their faults and spewing accusations. PAP is too powerful for that. You must fight on their level. Which is exactly what Pritam Singh and the Workerās Party have tried doing.
Hot favourites obviously belonged to the Sengkang team, who as a whole, managed to reach out to their specific demographics as well as the rest of Singapore youths/millenials in particular. Despite online accusations and what not, they managed to fight through and secure Sengkang GRC which was a MAJOR accomplishment and milestone in so many ways. As well as the East Coast GRC team who fought very hard but fell short by a very small margin.Ā
Another party that was so close to being elected, was PSP led by Dr Tan Cheng Bock. This one is an interesting story. I had only found out all this information a couple of days before. This man is already 80 years old and was making waves on instagram because most campaigning was being done so online. Dr Tan Cheng Bock was already a familiar name among the older generation, considering he was formally from PAP, then having resigned to run for presidency but unfortunately could not win. Affectionately known as hype beast ah gong to the younger crowd, he as well as his marketing team made a huge move to post videos of him on Instagram to relate to the youth. And Guess what, it worked. Even those who donāt really know much or care much about politics (me for example) went to research him and found out how qualified he is and what he stands for. I wish his party did have a little more support to win (he lost by a less than 2% percentage) because it would have really shaken the PAP. But he was also going against strong PAP members and I also think that people may question him because of his age (heās 80!!!???) thus questioning his ability to govern at his old age. Yes I would say it is a possible concern to many but who is to say he is not capable of the role? He has built such a strong name for himself, which is admirable at his age. Another very admirable thing he did was saying if his party did not win but if one candidate is being offered a seat in parliament, he will not take it. So if you agree with what he says and want him to oppose PAP, it was either you vote for him and his whole team to all have seats in parliament, or you donāt get him at all. Like do or die. Definately a risky move, but just shows how much he cares for his whole team. Also, Iām sure theyād target him throughout so he would require his team for backup,otherwise another strong member shall be sent in his place, which I also think might be a good idea because TCB has had his run in parliament already and can serve as a very good advisor to his potential candidates.Ā
So coming back to my second point, which is regarding PAP. Ahhhh, so much could be said about PAP. long story short, their feathers were definately ruffled and could have acted with a little more grace. Yes they do handle certain areas well, for example, my GRC, Marine Parade. Formerly run by senior minister Goh Chock Tong, it was always a sure win for PAP. But then watching the results I realised many people were unhappy. Why? Was PAP not handling their area well? Possibly. Handling Marine Parade is a little tricky as well. An area with such rich history and culture that represent Singapore, is the home to many affluent Singaporeans. The area is decked with endless landed homes and condos as compared to HDBs. Well known government and Catholic schools, and our very own East Coast beach. Now for Marine Parade, I realised there are a few types of residents who voted the way they did.
1) Genuine support for PAP, usually the older generation who have only known the ways of PAP all their life, through independance of Singapore till now.Ā
2)Genuine support for Workerās Party, people who possibly root for the underdogs.Ā
3)People who want to see change and have an impact but were not convinced by the Workerās Party candidates and their lack of experience, hence voting for PAP as the safer option to maintain our area, which has done pretty well till now.
4)People who could not be bothered and just vote for PAP because thatās how itās always been andĀ would rather stick to that and be ignorant.Ā
So basically going back to PAP, yes they have the experience and the knowledge to run the country. But what about a lot of underlying problems that have surfaced during this elections? Racism, social class, education opportunities, elderly healthcare? Are they really considering all these factors too? Thatās when the opposition comes in plays their part. To really represent the people. Iām not saying that they donāt know how to do their job, they most certainly do. And over the years theyāve had some great and highly respected ministers who have made a huge impact in their respective fields.im just saying that times are changing and the younger generation is getting more involved and PAP isnāt getting any younger.
I donāt wanna make this any longer so Iām gonna shorten my third and most important view personally.
SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH!!!!!
How do you expect to be the āvoice of the peopleā if you canāt speak proper English? The way we articulate things, being our points across, never underestimate the importance of this! How are you going to be credible to your people if you canāt speak well with confidence and passion? Listening to some of the broadcasts made me crazy because many opposition members could not speak well and spent most of their argument blaming the PAP!! Where is your point? Where is your class? You wanna argue with PAP and with your very own prime minster, then at least try to do so with some elegance. This is our prime minister after all, not some hawker uncle. If you wanna talk about these issues, he could very well devour all of you single handedly. If you want to state your cause or your unhappiness, do so smartly and in a way people will listen, not just empty words spewing out in anger.
Looking at the better speakers this year such as everyoneās new favourite person, Jamus Lim ; Raeesah Khan, He Ting Ru, Pritam Singh, Nicole Seah, Sylvia Lim and also Tan Cheng Bock of the opppsition and then Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Tharman Shamugaratnam, and a couple other more. I have much respect for you all to be able to speak the way you do and itās people like you who give me hope for the betterment of the country.
So to end off, I mostly just wanted to share a snippets of my thoughts. I did my research during the elections and went from knowing nothing to being able to have proper conversations about this. Why? Because I felt stupid for not knowing what was going on and seeing many others my age ranting online and having full on discussions about all this and I tried so hard to understand what was going on. Everyone seemed to know what was happening and I thought to myself, why is it I donāt understand? Do I not care or do I just not know? I am a person who doesnāt like being in the middle of controversy and arguments and will gladly silently back out just so I can avoid the hooha. And I did this time round too but I also just wanted to educate myself a little more so that I could form my own opinions and not blindly follow what others say. Yes I respect PAP for building this country from the ground up. But I also respect the oppositions, mainly the few teams from workers party who have made a very strong impression.
Change is inevitable. And this yearās election is the turning point.
And with that, I end off. If you read through all this, congratulations, this was long but it was what sparked me to write after quite a while. I am just a simple girl with simple views but nonetheless views that matter and itās about damn time I speak up a little more. I may be young and dumb and slightly carefree or ignorant about certain things, but that doesnāt mean I am not smart about certain things or am not capable of having mature conversations. I am and I donāt want that to be overlooked at times.
My wishlist for Dissidia NT (in order of game titles) (Spoiler warning for various games)
Preface: No inclusions of characters that were already playable in Dissidia 012 as there's a very good chance they'll come back (slightly worried about Laguna, but we need more daddy/son bonding time)
FFI: Princess Sarah. I don't think sticking in one of the six playable jobs would really fit since The Warrior of Light is supposed to be all of the playable characters at once (who knows how, but there ya go). Alternatively, Chaos could be bumped up to playable here as well.
FFII: Minwu. Shoot things and blow himself up. Good times.
FFIII: Xande. Again, similar situation with WoLly, throwing in another Job that appeared in III would be weird. I don't think Cid would work (I mean specifically III's Cid if that wasn't obvious. I only mention this since Cid is used in Theatrythm), but a strong case can be made for Xande. He can probably pull attacks from his FFXIV incarnation as well.
FFIV: Rosa or Zemus. Rosa could draw more heavily on her archer aspects, but I don't think that would capture her character very well. Zemus could draw upon the power of his four fiends and his powered up form like Garland does.
FFV: Faris or Galuf. Faris is more popular, but I, personally, have a stronger emotional connection to Galuf. They would probably play similarly to Bartz, but they would draw on different Jobs than him.
FFVI: Celes or Leo. Strong cases could be made for either (though I'm not familiar enough with FFVI to picture how they'd fight. Maybe they'd be a physical version of Terra - as in, they pause between attacks to passively build up a charge to use on their next attack)
FFVII: Aerith. Hey, she wasn't technically playable in Dissidia 012, so she counts. She'd probably be team support heavy, and I think she could really work in that regard.
FFVIII: Rinoa. HP attacks are her Angelo Limits. EX Skill is Angel Feather - I mean, it practically writes itself.
FFIX: Garnet "Dagger" or Vivi. I think either would do really well, though I think Vivi would more easily lend himself to a fighting game than Garnet, ironically. Vivi could be the "caster" version of Cloud (as in, he charges up his attacks to launch them [Terra has to stop attacking to charge]).
FFX: Auron. I mean, it's kinda obvious - popular character, samurai based attacks... There's not much to say here.
FFXI: (I don't know enough about this game FFFFFF-) I guess one of the villains? Shadow Lord? Eald'narche? *shrugs shoulders*
FFXII: LARSAAAA *thrown off of cliff* Okay, fine. Vayne. HP attacks are Bahamut attacks, EX Skill is the Bahamut firing on the stage. S'all good. Then there's also Ashe (you know, THE REAL HERO OF THE STORY) and Balthier (the self-proclaimed hero of the story).
FFXIII: Snow or Hope. I think Snow would lend himself better as a fighter since Snow has Commando and Ravager as two of his default roles (the third being Sentinel, a tank), while Hope only has Ravager as one of his default roles (the other two being Medic, a healer, and Synergist, a team buffer). However, Hope could be interesting as no other character uses a boomerang as a weapon. And, like Lighting, both would probably use their personal summons' attacks as their HP attacks.
FFXIV: HOLY SHIT, I WANT A SUMMONER ALPHINAUD LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE. Unfortunately, I think he would have been more likely if we were still in the Heavensward timeframe since, although this is a fighting game, is does also act like an advertisement, meaning someone who's Stormblood related would likely have more of a shot. That means it would probably be Lyse (because more fanservice) or Zenos (because he's on the box BUT BY GOD HE'S SUCH A BORING VILLAIN UUUUUGH). Besides Alphinaud being an outside shot, I think Estini-hogg could be super interesting. Also, RED MAGE ALISAE WAT UUUUUUUUP!!
FFXV: (Again, I don't know enough about this game fuck meeeee) I mean, I guess Noctus and Ardyn?
Spinoffs, sequels, and etc: Zack (FFVII: CC, focuses on his EX skill granting him a random buff), Serah (FFXIII-2, also drawing upon Commando and Ravager for her skills with HP attacks instead being monster attacks), Layle (FFCC: TCB, gravity powers? Gravity powers), Ceodore (FFIV: TAY, his attacks would probably be his various Band actions while Awaken would be his EX skill or a buff he freely triggers), Agnes (Bravely Default, probably canceling attacks to make her next one stronger)
Published: February 18, 2020
LAS VEGAS (Feb. 18, 2020)Ā ā As fight night nears, boxing legends, world champions, celebrities and more shared their predictions for the highly anticipated rematch between unbeaten WBC Heavyweight World ChampionĀ Deontay "The Bronze Bomber" WilderĀ and undefeated lineal championĀ Tyson "The Gypsy King" FuryĀ ahead of the historic, mega PPV event this Saturday, February 22 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Ā Tickets for the event are on sale now and can be purchased atĀ www.mgmgrand.comĀ orĀ www.axs.com. The event is promoted by BombZquad Promotions, TGB Promotions, Top Rank and Frank Warrenās Queensberry Promotions. A Premier Boxing Champions presentation. Ā The heavyweight championship rematch has garnered debate ever since the controversial end of their first fight in December 2018, and remains a 50-50 fight just days before they square off again. Here are predictions from throughout the boxing world and beyond for Saturdayās main event, with the respondents leaning towards Wilder to retain his title over Fury, by an 18 to 14 margin: Ā Sugar Ray Leonard, Hall of Famer Wilder W 12: āI like Deontay Wilder to win, possibly by knockout, but, in truth, I donāt see either guy being knocked out. I think that Wilder not only has that powerful right hand, but that he has improved in his ability to set it up. Ā āOn the other hand, I know that Tyson Fury has excellent boxing abilities and a tremendous chin from the way that he got up from the two knockdowns in their previous fight. In the end, I think that Wilder is always in shape and that he will use his speed and power to get the job done.ā Ā Jamel Herring, WBO Junior Lightweight world champion Fury by Majority Decision: āIf Fury can box the same way he boxed in the first fight, without any scares, he can pull it off. On the flip side, itās hard to pick against Wilder, as he always looks more impressive in rematches.ā Ā Manny Pacquiao, WBA Welterweight World Champion Wilder KO 10: āNever bet against a puncher, particularly one like Deontay Wilder. I look at Wilder like I do at a Mike Tyson, another puncher. I see Wilder winning this rematch with Tyson Fury by 10th-round knockout.ā Ā Carl Frampton, former two-weight world champion Fury W 12: āI think itās a very difficult fight to call. Fury won the last one by a mile, but I think Wilder will be more aggressive this time, which may play into Furyās hands. Wilder can win by KO at any moment, but put a gun to my head, and Iād say Fury on points.ā Ā Thomas Hearns, Hall of Famer Wilder W 12: āDeontay Wilder can box and win, but I think that his power will be the difference in defeating Tyson Fury. I believe that it will go to a decision again, but with Deontay Wilder winning it.ā Ā Mikaela Mayer, undefeated super featherweight/2016 U.S. Olympian Fury by decision: āI Fury is the better boxer and smart enough to make the adjustments needed from the last fight. If he can avoid a bomb from the āThe Bronze Bomber,ā I think he will win on the scorecards.ā Ā Evander Holyfield, Hall of Famer Wilder W 12: āIām picking Deontay Wilder based on his confidence and the fact that he does all of the right things to remain in great shape, and that heās committed to his craft. Ā āWilderās not just a big guy with a right hand, but heās also become more calculated in his approach. Thatās why Iām picking him to win this second fight against Tyson Fury.ā Ā Michael Conlan, WBO No. 1 Featherweight Contender Fury by decision: āHe needs to be even more careful this time, but he looks like heās put in some serious work and is ready finish what he started last time.ā Ā Shawn Porter, former two-time world welterweight champion Wilder KO:ā I have not had this hard of a time picking a winner of a fight after dissecting every component in a very long time.Ā I honestly believe that this fight right here will seal both of their legacies. Ā āThis is a 50-50 fight for several reasons. Deontay Wilder will be much more patient and freer from the anxiety he had trying to put on a big show in the first fight. Tyson Fury is now two years from depression, two fights from the retirement he came out of to fight Wilder. Ā āFury has changed trainers in order to take the fight to Wilder and win by KO. Fury still has his speed and quickness, while Wilder is still powerful and more confident. Itās going to be a great fight. Ā āItās razor thin until the end. Iām picking Wilder to win by KO, Fury by points, or Fury by KO. This is a 50-50 fight. I said on āInside PBC Boxingā a couple of weeks ago that Wilder wins by KO, but Iām picking the fans to win.ā Xander Zayas, 17-year-old welterweight prospect Fury by decision: āHe will outbox Wilder and make the necessary adjustments. It will essentially be a repeat of the first fight, only more convincing.ā Ā Larry Holmes, Hall of Famer Wilder KO 7-8: āDeontay Wilder will knock out Tyson Fury in the seventh or eighth round if he does what I know that he can do, which is stay on the outside, use his jab, throw that right hand over the jab.ā Ā Colin Cloud, LIMITLESS at The MirageĀ Wilder KO: āI predict Wilder will win by a knock-out in the first three rounds. I further predict Tyson will get āin the zoneā listening to some classic Jay-Z, Whereas Wilder will be listening to Taylor Swiftās āLoverā album, because ultimately he is both a lover and a fighter.āĀ Ā Ā Adam Kownacki, undefeated heavyweight contender Wilder KO 7: āIām going with Deontay Wilder, and I think itās going to be a knockout in round seven. I think it will be a rematch similar to the one with Luis Ortiz, whom he stopped in the 10thĀ round the first time and in the seventh round the second time. Ā āWilder will be patient, wait for his opening, and then, he will deliver. I think Wilder lands the big right hand and that, this time, Fury doesnt get up.ā Ā Robert Garcia, trainer of Mikey Garcia Fury W 12: āI see Tyson Fury winning by a decision over Deontay Wilder. Unlike the first time, where he was knocked down twice, I believe that Fury will be fight more cautiously and that heāll win a decision.ā Ā Keith Thurman, former unified welterweight world champion Wilder KO: āIām going with Deontay Wilder, who is one of the most dangerous punchers in boxing history. Thereās something about the first time that you step into the ring with an opponent, the entire, āIāve never seen you; youāve never seen me before.ā Ā āBut the fact is, Wilder now knows the movement, the speed and the tactics that Tyson Fury has, but, of course, Fury has the ability to dance, move around and change it up. But as long as Wilder can keep up with and move with him, I believe that he will do what he does best. Ā āI believe that Wilder can end the fight at any moment, aiming that right hand straight down the pipe, which he just about did in the last fight. Itās a tremendous event, I missed the first one, but Iāll be present at this next one and another great heavyweight rivalry. Team BombZquad.ā Ā Matt Goss, 1OAK Las Vegas at The MirageĀ Ā Fury W āSo proud of Tyson and his mindset and all of the battles he has won in and outside of the ring. Massively respect you Tyson, from one Brit to another, go and do what you do best, TCB.āĀ Ā Mikey Garcia, former four-division world champion Wilder KO 8: āIāve got Deontay Wilder knocking out Tyson Fury in the eighth round. Wilder will be much more aggressive than he was in their first fight. Wilder will catch Fury with a big shot in the eighth round.ā Ā Michelin Star Chef Akira Back, Chef for Yellowtail at Bellagio and Kumi at Mandalay BayĀ Wilder KO 9: āWilder in a 9thĀ round KO.Ā And after he knocks out Fury, I hope he will have time to stop by Yellowtail to celebrate and have a shot with me.āĀ Ā Ruben Guerrero, trainer of Robert Guerrero Fury W 12: āTyson Fury is much more focused going into this fight. Heās not partying like he was, and he didnāt go into camp out of shape. Heās gotten God-centered in his life now, so Iām picking Fury to win by decision over Deontay Wider.ā Ā Jermall Charlo, Undefeated WBC Middleweight World Champion Wilder KO 10: āDeontay Wilder by knockout in the 10th over Tyson Fury. Deontay has to establish the jab early to get close, then crank right hands repeatedly.ā Ā Marcus Deegan, MC, Thunder from Down Under at ExcaliburĀ Ā Fury KO 2: "After Tyson Fury got up like a zombie from the dead after that devastating knock down in their first fight, it shows his heart is beyond those of a normal human. This time around, I believe Tyson Fury will be victorious via knockout in the second round."Ā Ā Chris Colbert, interim WBA Super Featherweight Champion Wilder KO 8: āI feel like Tyson Fury is less confident for this fight, and I think that Deontay Wilder is going to win by knockout. I would like to see Fury put up a helluva fight, but I donāt think that will happen this time. Ā āWilder has more hunger to come back and to do better in his rematches, like he did against Bermane Stiverne and Luis Ortiz. I donāt think Fury goes any further than eight rounds this time.ā Ā Paulie Malignaggi, former two-division world champion Fury W 12: āI feel like itās going to be Tyson Fury on points, but itās a fight between the two best fighters in the weight class. Ā āThe onus is Deontay Wilder to make the adjustments, whereas if Fury fights the same fight, odds are, heās probably going to get the decision. Ā āI do think that Fury has to be careful with getting careless in spots, but Wilder canāt just fight believing that he can land one shot and get him out of there. Ā āFury is a great boxer who can probably be better at avoiding the shot the second time around because he knows what heās dealing with.ā Ā David Benavidez, undefeated WBC Super Middleweight World Champion Wilder KO 11: āI think Deontay Wilder knocks out Tyson Fury in the 11thĀ round, but I think itās gonna be a close fight until that happens. Still, I think Wilder wins the fight. Ā āI think Tyson Fury will have a lot of success early, but that ultimately Wilder will catch him with that big right hand and knock him out.ā Ā Andy Lee, former middleweight world champion Fury KO 2: āTyson Fury can win this fight with Deontay Wilder in any way that he wants, whether by stoppage or knockout or accumulation of punishment on points. Ā āBut the way that Furyās looking in training, I will say that he wins by stoppage or knockout, and Iāll say he wins in round number two. Ā āIām a former Kronk Gym fighter, and heās being trained by [Emanuel Stewardās nephew Javon] SugarHill Steward, and you know what all of us Kronk Gym fighters want ā knockouts.ā Ā Anthony Dirrell, former two-time super middleweight champion Wilder KO 8: āI am picking Deontay Wilder to win the rematch with Tyson Fury, and I think that it will happen in Round eight or nine. āI just believe that Wilder will be better than he was in the last fight, and you can just look at his record in rematches against Bermane Stiverne and Luis Ortiz.ā Ā Terry Fator, Terry Fator: The VOICE of Entertainment at The MirageĀ Fury KO 4: āI am a huge fight fan...it's why I never miss a presidential debate. My prediction--Fury in 4 when Wilder hits the floor.āĀ Ā Charles Martin, former world heavyweight champion Wilder KO 8: āDeontay Wilderās gonna win by knockout. I believe that Tyson Fury will be out-boxing Wilder for most of the rounds, but then, he will get stopped by that powerful right hand in the eighth.ā Ā John Ryder, former WBA interim super middleweight championĀ Fury KO: āI believe this fight will be a lot more explosive then the first. I believe Deontay Wilder will feel Tyson Fury canāt hurt him and will go for the KO very early and fade later in the fight. Tyson will get him out of there anywhere after the eighth round.ā Ā Luis Ortiz, heavyweight contender Wilder W 12: āDeontay Wilder will win a decision over Tyson Fury, who will be coming in respecting Wilderās power and being wary of taking a shot based on all of the evidence of Wilderās previous fights with me, and from their first fight. Ā āLooking at what Wilder was able to do with me during the championship rounds of our first fight and also much sooner than that in our second fight, heās going to be worrying about taking a similar shot, otherwise, thereās a locomotive coming.ā Ā Bermane Stiverne, former world heavyweight champion Wilder KO:ā I think Deontay Wilder will knock out Tyson Fury, itās just a matter of when he lands the right hand or the left hook and finishes him off. Ā āWilderās power saved him in the last round against Fury the first time, but I think that now that Fury has tasted Wilderās power, I think that has to be in the back of his mind. Ā āWhether itās the first or the last round, just like Fury was doing well in the first fight, I think itās going to be a knockout for Wilder.ā Ā Michael Clift, āBarry Gibbā, The Australian Bee Gees Show at Excalibur Hotel & CasinoĀ Fury W: āWilder will come after Fury and try for a big knockout punch, that's his best hope. Fury will bide his time and use his reach and awkward style to wear Wilder down and strike when he sees him tiring. I'd like to see Wilder win but I think Fury will be too strong. Fury to win!āĀ Ā
MOVIES (THAT MIGHT BE) WORTH CHECKING OUT IN MAY 2019:
MAY 3
LONG SHOT
One classy party reunites reporter Fred Flarsky (Seth Rogen) with his former babysitter and current Secretary of State Charlotte Field (Charlize Theron). Now she plans to run for President and hires Fred as her speechwriter. As they work together through her campaign, they begin to fall for each other.
Itās rarely certain whether a comedy will be good, especially adult comedies like this one. Raunchy comedies face a tightrope walk of delivering consistently funny humor while telling an engaging story. Plus, thereās no one way to be funny and there are many ways to be not funny. Romantic Comedies are a challenge because they live and die on the chemistry between the leads. Seth Rogen has already demonstrated strong romantic chemistry with Knocked Up and Charlize Theron is an excellent actress, but we must wait and see if they have any chemistry together.
Director Jonathan Levine certainly has proved himself with memorable comedies like 50/50 and Warm Bodies. But heās also made lackluster comedies like The Night Before and Snatched. The only surefire way to know is to watch it.
MAY 10:
ALL IS TRUE
In case it isnāt clear, Kenneth Branagh loves the shit out of Shakespeare. Since garnering worldwide attention and acclaim with his star making directorial debut with Henry V, heās adapted one William Shakespeare play after another every four years. It was only a matter of time before he played the Bard himself. Cue All is True, a film about the last moments of his life.
Shakespeare (Branagh) has finally come home to his wife Anne Hathaway (Judi Dench) and he comes home a legend. But his years apart has created distance between himself and his family. Weāre given no information the above information.
Kenneth Branagh films are a hit and miss, even the Shakespeare ones. On one hand, you get compelling adaptations of Henry V and Hamlet. On the other hand, you get disasters like Loveās Labours Lost. In this film, he seems to portray Shakespeare as abrasive yet witty. But thereās more hope coming from writer Ben Elton, whose credit include classic British Comedies like Blackadder, The Young Ones and Mr. Bean. Still, comedy if a fickle genre and thereās no guarantee it will be good.
POKEMON: DETECTIVE PIKACHU
This movie has a lot going against it. First, itās based on a video game, which is the notorious kiss of death for a movie. And considering the cartoony designs of the PokĆ©mon, you can probably count this as a live action version of a cartoon (which is usually associated with lazy filmmaking). Plus, itās based on a spin off of a popular game. And yet, the trailers had made Detective Pikachu not only has moviegoers intrigued but has made it one of the most anticipated films of the year. Of course, it could also be due to the PokĆ©mon franchise being one of the most beloved franchises getting its second wind thanks to the PokĆ©mon Go, but the trailers still deserve credit for making the movie look attractive.
Surprisingly, the film doesnāt focus on Ash Ketchum, Red, or any PokĆ©mon trainer. Instead, our protagonist is Tim Goodman (Justice Smith), an ex-PokĆ©mon trainer in a rut when he returns home after the death of his father. Then his lifeās turned upside down when he finds a coffee-addicted Pikachu wearing a detectiveās hat in his fatherās office. This Pikachu woke up with no memories, a Sherlock Holmes hat and the voice of Ryan Reynolds. Detective Pikachu believes Timās father is still alive and is being held hostage. So, Tim and Detective Pikachu begin an investigation to find Timās father and discover his connection to the PokĆ©mon.
When the trailers were released, audiencesā minds were blown by the incredible special effects. Pikachu and another PokĆ©mon fit so naturally within the real world thanks to the detailed CGI. Albeit, there are a few that look a bit creepy (Mr. Mime and Jugglypuff), but Pikachu and Charizard look amazing. Plus, the story shows a lot of potential, with the dynamic of the disillusioned Tim and the enthusiastic Pikachu demonstrating strong chemistry.
With Rob Letterman directing, thereās uncertainty about the quality. Earlier, heās made mediocre, forgettable movies like Gulliverās Travels and the godawful Shark Tale. But then he made Goosebumps, a much better movie than it had any right to be. The later could be a sign of improvement, so Iām going into this with high hopes.
POMS
This seems like the perfect film for Motherās Day.
Welcome to Sun Sprays, a retirement home with hundreds of clubs. Despite the sunny environment, Martha (Diane Keaton)ās come here just to die. Then she gets reeled into starting a senior citizen Cheerleading Squad by horny neighbor Sheryl (Jackie Weaver). With a small team (including Pam Grier and Rhea Perlman) and training from a young cheerleading choreographer (Alisha Boe), Martha enters a Cheerleading competition.
This film is one of those films you take your mother too, so itās perfect for this month. It seems like a harmless good time staring beloved actresses whoāve been in the business for a long time. Though I will admit, youāre probably not going to remember it by the end of the year.
TOLKIEN
I think JRR Tolkien needs no introduction. By now, his tales of Middle-Earth are ingrained into modern Pop Culture, especially after the Peter Jackson movies. You donāt even need to have read the Hobbit or seen the Lord of the Rings trilogy to know what Hobbits are. And now we learn about the man who brought this world to life in the biopic Tolkien.
Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road, Warm Bodies) plays the author during his time as an Oxford student and a WW1 soldier. Judging by the trailer, the film seems to be going the route of the Theory of Everything and centre the film around his relationship with Edith Mary Bratt (Lily Collins). The film also looks to showcase his friendship with fellow artists Rob Gilson (Patrick Gibson), Geoffrey Blache Smith (Anthony Boyle) and Christopher Wiseman (Tom Glynn-Carney), who would from their own secret society called the Tea Club and Burrovian Society (TCBS). And of course, it will show us Tolkienās experience during World War 1.
There is a strong chance this film will just be a typical, forgettable biopic with the usual clichĆ©s of the naĆÆve youth dreaming of changing the world and the girlfriend serving as a source of support. What Iām hoping to get out of it is seeing where Tolkien drew inspiration for the immortal Middle Earth books. It helps that the film sticks to his youth while other lesser films rush too quickly into his whole life like Bohemian Rhapsody did.
MAY 17:
JOHN WICK 3: PARABELLUM
The second John Wick left us on one hell of a cliffhanger when Master ex-assassin/dog lover John Wick (Keanu Reeves) broke the code by killing client Santino DāAntonio (Riccardo Scamarcio) in the Assassinās hotel when he betrayed Wick. The closing sequence of Wick racing against time to get out of town while assassins wait for the time to run out made you very excited for the third movie. And judging by the trailer, John Wick 3: Parabellum wonāt disappoint.
The film picks up right wear the second film leaves off with Wick rushing to find a way out of New York. The High Table has placed a fourteen million bounty on his head and every assassin is looking to collect (and take down the legendary āboogeymanā). With nowhere to run and outnumbered, Wick uses every means at his disposal to take down every assassin within proximity. Considering the fact Wick once took down a whole group of assassins with a pen, itās the assassins who should be worried.
Despite a simple plot about an ex-assassin going after a gangsterās son for killing his dog, John Wick blew everyone way with masterful direction from former stuntman Chad Stahelski and David Leitch that elevated the action genre in many ways. First, is the fully realized world of the assassins, where they live by strict codes of honor, are paid by gold coins and have their own cleaning crew and hotel. Plus, thereās the amazing cinematography from Jonathan Sela (the first one) and Dan Laustsen (the sequels), who showcase the elegance of Wickās world and enhances action scenes with beautiful neon lighting. And then thereās the fight scenes; those glorious fight scenes. While most modern action scenes shoot too close and cut way too quickly, the actions scenes in these films are shot and edited with a smooth rhythm to showcase the actorās stunt work. No actor shines more than Keanu Reeves, who went through months of weapons training and martial arts training doing what he does best; kicking ass. Sure, heās a wooden actor, but he comes to life during action scenes, where he showcases his energy and grace.
We have quite an all-star cast. We see the return of old favorites including Continental Hotel owner Winston (Ian McShane), his concierge Charon (Lance Reddick) and The Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne). They are also joined by Anjelica Huston as a mysterious leader known as the director, Jerome Flynn as fellow assassin Berrada and Halle Berry as Wickās estranged partner Sofia.
THE SOUVENIR
Could this be an overlooked gem of the month?
The film centres on the rocky relationship between young film student Julie (Honor Swinton Byrne), an unpredictable intellectual named Anthony and Julieās mother (Tilda Swinton). On the surface, the premise doesnāt seem like much. But what may make this film stand out is the deliver; portraying the complicated ups and downs of relationship. It could either be compelling or pretensions.
THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR
Natasha Kingsley (Yara Shahidi) is a highly academic student is a firm believer of logic. Daniel Bae (Charles Melton) is a āgood studentā who is a closeted romantic poet. One day in New York, their lives cross paths when Daniel saves Natasha from being hit by a car. Soon, they find themselves debating over their beliefs. Natasha doesnāt believe in love and thinks Daniel should give up his unlikely dream of being a poet. Daniel makes a bet he can make her fall in love. But they both have problems right now. Nathashaās trying to keep her family from being deported and Danielās must choose between pleasing his parents and going his own path.
The filmās based on a novel by Nicola Koon. That book took me by surprise with a compelling story with a strong dynamic between two different people, with excerpts discussing unusual probabilities between chapters. The excerpts add to our protagonistās debates about fate vs. logic, but I wonder how writer Tracy Oliver (Girls Night) will apply these elements into the movie. Novels can intercut a story with random segments, but movies rely on a more consistent flow.
As with many romances, this depend on the chemistry between the actors. Shahidiās garnered attention for playing wannabe fashionista Zoey Johnson in Black-ish and the underrated Grown-ish. Meltonās spotlight is also growing thanks to his role as Reggie Mantle in Riverdale. But can they carry a movie?
MAY 22:
THE TOMORROW MAN
Since the death of her daughter, Ronnie Meisner (Blythe Danner) spends her life at an emotional distance, often buying items she never uses. The one day, Ed Hemster (John Lithgow), who makes her let her guard down. But Ed has problems of his own. Worrying about the future, heās built a fallout shelter where he stacks nonperishables. Through each other, Ronnie and Ed have a chance to move to the present.
The main reason I included this on the list are the two main leads. Danner is one of those underappreciated actresses who appear in a lot of movies and tv shows but you never remember her name. She finally gained some acclaim in her rare lead role in the underrated gem Iāll See You in My Dreams. But even then, she was back in supporting roles in overlooked films. Of course, itās because Hollywood rarely writes roles for middle aged or elderly women unless sheās Meryl Streep or Helen Mirren.
And then thereās John Lithgow. Heās one of few actors who elevates a scene just by being there. Whether itās the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes or Third Rock from the Sun, he always delivers a top-notch performance no matter the genre or quality. Personally, I found him to be the only good thing in the awful sitcom Trial & Error. The main reason Iād watch this film is because of him.
MAY 24:
ALADDIN
Another live action Disney remake.
I donāt think I need to explain the synopsis. By now, everyone knows the story of Aladdin like the back of their hand. So, letās focus on whether we should bother with this remake.
On the surface, the film has a lot going for it. Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott seem perfectly cast as Aladdin and Jasmine, resembling them while adding their own touches. The setting of Agrabah looks colourful while obtaining just enough believability. And youāve got Will Smith playing the Genie. Sure, heās no Robin Williams, but then again no one can be Robin Williams. Iām hoping he choses to make the character his own instead of trying to copy Williamās performance.
But then people started complaining that the Genie wasnāt blue in the promotion photos. The Studio assured the audience that the Genie will be blue. Well, be careful what you wish for, because you could end up with Will Smithās face poorly added to a CGI abomination. Cue the second teaser and the angry aftermath. It should be noted that studios will often release film trailers with unfinished special effects. They were able to remedy this with a later trailer, with much better CGI and showcasing more elements of the film.
The area where I do have concern is with Director Guy Ritchie. He has taken the cinema world by surprise with his indie film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and his follow up Snatch. But since then, none of his later films truly stood out. The main problem is a classic case of style over substance. He fills his movies with flashy imagery and dazzling camerawork, but the plots are not as engaging. The question is whether he can get out of his own way for this film.
BRIGHTBURN
Itās surprising nobodyās put a horror version of Superman before this. Iām guessing its fear of copyright issues. But here we are.
On the surface, it follows the Superman story to a tee. A superpowered baby falls from the sky and is taken in by a humble couple. He struggles to grow up in a small town while he discovers his power. In this case, the kid is Brandon Breyer (Jackson Dunn), his adoptive parents are Tori (Elizabeth Banks) and Kyle Breyer (David Denman) and the town is Brightburn.
Unfortunately, this kid has no intention for using his powers for Truth and Justice. Instead, he uses his powers to get revenge on anyone who wronged him. If a kid bullies him, heāll crush her hand like a twig. [1]Any adult who grows suspicious of him, he can fly right into them or burn them with his laser vision. He knows he can get away with anything, and thereās nothing anyone can do about it, not even his loving step mother. So, he dons a mask and terrorizes everyone in town.
The filmās vague on Brandonās motivation. Judging by a clip from a teaser with the Brandon trying to get to the ship, thereās a chance he was sent to earth to cause destruction. Or maybe heās just a sociopath with too much power. What is certain is the creativity of the premise. Youāve got a kid whose indestructible, has amazing abilities. But he lacks restraint. He could take over an entire city. How do you stop him?
What may elevate this film is Elizabeth Banksā performance. As she tries to stick up for Brandon, you can see sheās torn between her love of Brandon and her fear of his actions. It could provide an emotional core for the film that will offer more impact for the audience.
MAY 31:
GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS
With the success of the 2014 American adaptation, the one and only Godzilla returns, and heās brought some friends.
The secret organization Monarch led by Dr. Ishiro Serizawa (Ken Watanabe) have their hands full a roster of Kaijus (giant-sized monsters) appearing across earth. The fan favorites are all here, including Mothra and Rodan. Their only hope is Godzilla. But he faces his biggest challenge with King Ghidorah, the three-headed behemoth three times his size.
Meanwhile, Monarch member Dr. Emma Russel (Vera Farmiga) is searching for her daughter Madison (Millie Bobby Brown), who is lost in the carnage.
The film has an all-star cast, including Sally Hawkins (returning as Serizawaās assistant Dr. Vivienne Graham), Game of Thronesā Charles Dance, OāShea Hawkins Jr. (Straight Outta Compton) and Thomas Middleditch. But letās admit we donāt watch these movies for the human characters. Weāre here to watch giant monsters destroy cities and duke it out.
But Kaiju films need to centre on human characters to ground the film and portray the consequences of the destruction. Thereās just one problem; the human characters are almost never interesting. One of the few exceptions was Bryan Cranstonās character in the recent film, but heās gone way to early in the film. Hopefully writer/director Michael Dougherty will flesh out the characters in this film so weāre not waiting impatiently for the monsters.
While weāre here, I should discuss the obvious plans for a Kaiju cinematic universe. With the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, every studio has been trying to create their own cinematic universe, from Warner Brotherās DCEU to Universalās āDark Universeā. In this case, the cinematic universe would be the MonsterVerse; Hollywoodās adaptation of Japans iconic Kaiju films as well as the return of King Kong. But most of them failed because the films fail to stand on their own. Unlike the other attempts, Legendary Entertainment waited for audience reaction with the 2014 Godzilla before starting this cinematic universe. Despite criticism over the lack of Godzilla onscreen (less than a half hour), the film was still a hit. Next was King Kong: Skull Island, an on the nose allegory of Vietnam that never took itself seriously. The film also became a minor hit despite criticism. And after this upcoming film, King Kong and Godzilla will faces on in a later film. I am excited.
MA
Oscar Winner Octavia Spencer reunites with The Help director Tate Taylor for this creepy flick from the horror hitmaker Blumhouse.
Spencer plays the title character, a lonely woman named Sue Ann. One day, sheās approached by a group of underage teens to buy booze for them. She not only obliges them, but she allows them to use her basement for parties. She seems like the coolest adult to them.
Then Ma grows clingier, calling them and following them around. Things get creepy when she comes to their house, where we find out she went to high school with their parents. You can be they somehow wronged her in her youth and this is a form of revenge for her. It certainly seems with the creepy image of Ma sewing one girlās mouth shut and tying a teen boy to her bed.
Blumhouse are on a roll, distributing one horror hit after another including the Visit, The Purge and Happy Death Day. Theyāve even brought us some ground-breaking films like Get Out and Paranormal Activity. And Ma looks like it could be a worthy addition to their library with Spencer channeling Annie Wilkes from Misery.
ROCKETMAN
We conclude with the biopic of pop icon Elton John (Taron Egerton). We follow him from his early years as nerdy English boy Reginald Dwight to his rise as a mega superstar. It has all the major moments, including his big break at the Troubadour, his many over the top costumes and his struggles with his homosexuality.
Iāll be honest, Iām growing tired of recent biopics. They all go through the same song and dance. First, we see their troubled childhood, usually dealing either one terrible parent or one strong parent pushing the kid to rise above their surroundings. Then we see them form a band, they perform one song, then cut to them filling stadiums. And of course, you canāt seem to have a biopic without a naysayer producer, brief cuts of them writing songs[2] Ā and the third act of the star descending into drugs and alienating those he loves. They play it too safe. The only one that felt refreshing was The Motley Crue Biopic the Dirt[3].
To be fair, Rocketman seems to add a few elements to separate it from lesser biopics. First, itās written by Lee Hall, whose pend upbeat yet grounded British class films like Billy Elliot, War Horse and the underrated play the Pittman Painters. Plus, the film looks like itās going to be a musical, with people bursting into song. But what makes this film stand out is its style. The film takes a more stylized approach to itās visuals, including having the crowd float in tune to the title song. I suspect the visuals will serve as a tour into Johnās subconscious.
[1] It reminds me of a scene from Superman where Jonathan Kent tells Clark he can do such a thing ābut what that would make him.ā I guess Brandon answers that question.
[2] Often portraying it as a quick burst of inspiration instead of a long process of fine tuning the creative process is.
[3] Thatās thanks to the filmās energetic editing, Hard R-partying and fearlessness in showcasing the Band Memberās ugliest moments.
Cocofloss Review
Cocofloss Review
Have you struggled with finding the motivation to floss daily? From dental appointments to commercials and products, thereās no doubting how vital flossing is for our teeth. Even with this knowledge, itās one of the most overlooked parts of daily routines. If you have found yourself skipping floss a time or two, know that you arenāt alone. From the difficulty of technique to reaching the back of your mouth, or finding the right product and flavor, flossing can be a struggle. Looking for a more effective flossing solution? What is Cocofloss?
Dentist-designed Cocofloss is a fresh approach to flossing for both better hygiene and genuine enjoyment. If you find yourself dreading the moment you need to pull out the floss, this might be a great option for you. With multifilament fibers, one strand of Cocofloss is woven from multiple threads. Each package contains 32 yards of floss. These threads create a thicker floss strand than almost any other brand, comparing quite well to the Oral B Dental Tape in terms of thickness and cushion. Over 500 polyester filaments work at scrubbing plaque away from between your teeth. Multifilament also may provide greater scrubbing action for your teeth, as each strand works to scrape away plaque, rather than the single surface of traditional floss. Additionally, though this floss is thick, it is still waxed, which will more than likely make it easier to slide between your teeth. Beyond multifilament, Cocofloss comes in mint flavor, as well as three nontraditional flavors of strawberry, orange and coconut. Changing the flavor alone could create a more enjoyable flossing experience for you if youāre tired of only having mint. If youāre like me, you might tire of the same peppermint flavoring for all dental products and enjoy a hint of coconut instead to mix it up! Though Cocofloss is not labeled as all-natural, the main ingredients are natural oils, such as coconut oil, spearmint oil, and corn mint oil. If you prefer minimizing additives, you can take comfort in knowing there are fewer chemicals in your dental routine. The thickness of this floss is typically well-received by most people due to the potential for enhanced hygiene and scrubbing, however, this may not be the best option for you if your teeth are tightly-packed together. The thick floss could prove difficult to slide between your teeth.
Why is Cocofloss a Good Choice? Features & Benefits:
The Company
The Cocofloss team is led by 2 sisters from San Francisco: Chrystle (the Dentist) and Cat (the Engineer). Using a minimalist approach, they curated, formulated and designed this increasingly popular floss. Their product is cruelty-free, vegan, gluten free and paraben free, which definitely appeals to me. I love what they stand for!
Natural
Cocofloss may not be all-natural, but it certainly is infused with natural ingredients. Even if you arenāt concerned with changing your daily products over to all-natural, it certainly doesnāt hurt to add in a few of these beneficial ingredients. On the flip side, this is a great option for those of you who have heard about the benefits of natural oils for your oral health and have been looking for ways to add them. Due to Cocofloss already being infused with the oils, that removes the concern for measuring and diluting from your responsibility. Synthetic products can feel as if youāre putting sugar on your enamel, add to sensitivity, or even leave your mouth feeling dry. Thereās a high chance that will no longer be a concern with Cocofloss!
Multifilament
We have already mentioned the benefits of multifilament floss, but letās talk about it a moment longer. There are several brands on the market already producing multifilament floss, so what makes Cocofloss unique? As you might expect, multifilament is extremely common due to the āmultiā fibers lending strength to the strand as a whole. This floss is also considered āwoven,ā and though it is stronger, it may have a tendency to fray or shred since it doesnāt have a continuous nature. With Cocofloss, however, the strands are even thicker than with other brands of multifilament floss, which creates more friction to truly scrub plaque from between your teeth. As this floss is thicker, it will also be less likely to catch between your teeth or on fillings, similarly to how dental tape works. This thick strand of multifilament is soft on your gums and cushions your teeth while you floss. In my experience, I have had multiple types of floss catch on my fillings or crowns, which makes me nervous. Knowing that this floss has a larger strand comforts me with the smaller chance of damaging my fillings.
Coconut Oil
Weāve touched on essential oils aiding your oral health, but how do they actually work? The first listed Cocofloss oil is coconut oil, quite naturally. Even though coconut oil isnāt an essential oil, but rather, a carrier oil for dilution of essential oils, it still provides health benefits orally. By now, weāve all heard coconut oil is a superfood, but it might be surprising to hear about these benefits for your dental health. After all, itās not exactly typical to consider oil as an option for improved oral health. Coconut oil is the richest source of lauric acid known to man. Lauric acid is broken down by your body into monolaurin, though both lauric acid and monolaurin are helpful for eliminating viruses, harmful bacteria, and fungi. Lauric acid has been said to be more effective at killing these pathogens than other fatty acids. This translates to benefitting our oral health by killing the harmful bacteria in our mouths, which typically cause decay, gum disease, and bad breath in the end. Decay and gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on our teeth, which is the result of a film created by bacteria in our mouths. With coconut oil helping to kill the bacteria, there will be less of a film to clean away, and therefore, less decay and inflammation. LEARN MORE
Microcrystalline Wax
Microcrystalline wax, just as with paraffin, is derived from petroleum. However, this wax is oftentimes used in beauty products due to its fantastic bonding properties, as well as the fact that it is tacky and elastic, which can provide a number of uses in cosmetics. Microcrystalline wax is composed of fine crystals, which are both adhesive and provide flexibility. It is thin, which is ideal for coating an already thick strand of floss, such as Cocofloss. I appreciate the fact that a high-quality wax is used for this floss because with sensitive teeth like mine, the last thing I want is my floss getting stuck. Itās a frightening moment when floss pulls on a crown, so with this wax, I love that I would have a peace of mind about it!
Essential Oils
Perhaps you havenāt heard of using essential oils in dentistry before. The most commonly known aspect of utilizing oils in dentistry is a technique called oil pulling, which is when an oil such as coconut oil is swished around in the mouth for fifteen to twenty minutes to fight against harmful bacteria. However, essential oils must be approached differently, for instance, with dilution. Essential oils work well to combat antibiotic-resistant bacteria, which are increasingly becoming an issue. Unlike antibiotics, essential oils do not lose their potency over time. Various oils have different purposes, but studies have shown that they have the capacity for anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and antibacterial properties. Additionally, some essential oils are known to be rich in antioxidants. Specifically for Cocofloss, these strands are infused with spearmint oil, among others, which is excellent for helping prevent infection in wounds and ulcers while encouraging faster healing. This may prove quite helpful if you are prone to canker sores! CHECK PRICE HEREā
What do customers think?
Cocofloss is the product customers are turning to when nothing else seems to work for them, and are floored by their newfound success! There are numerous reviews of customers raving about the cushioned thickness of the floss for additional scrubbing power and the assurance of truly scraped-clean teeth. Any reviews on the negative range typically revolve around the price and thickness of the floss for those with tightly-spaced teeth. Positive Aspects:
Superb plaque removal
Soft thickness
Easy grip
Negative Aspects:
Expensive
Too thick for tight teeth
Doesn't glide
Solving the Problem
Finding the right floss to establish a daily dental routine can be difficult. This is especially true if you already have issues with flossing due to sensitive teeth or a small mouth. Flossing is extremely important for avoiding tooth decay or root infections, however, so itās necessary to find a product that works well for us. Cocofloss answers the call in many ways, starting with the thickness of their multifilament floss. If you have a small mouth or find it difficult to reach your molars and keep the floss taut for a great scraping action, the thickness of this floss can help. Cocofloss provides a solid grip while flossing to minimize the stress of simply getting it between your teeth. As for sensitive teeth, the filaments of Cocofloss are soft, which cushions your teeth while still scraping off plaque for a more enjoyable experience. As a bonus, your gums will thank you for the likely reduced irritation as well! Finally, the known health benefits of this essential oil-infused floss with great flavors can provide more motivation to floss than a typical brand from the drugstore. Around the Ring with TCB āSummer Slam Editionā
By: Tom Block, contributor to Gut Wrench Radio SummerSlam, the WWEās second biggest PPV, is descending on Brooklyn NY this Sunday evening. You have a kickoff show starting at 5 p.m. ET and the main show starting at 7 p.m. ET. Thereās so many matches with this co-branding event, letās get down to the matches and the predictions. Cruiserweight Championship ā Akira Tozawa (c) vs. Neville (Kickoff Show) Iāll be honest, Iām one of those who doesnāt pay much attention to this division. Neville has done a tremendous job as the champion but itās clear his time has come with the surprising decision to have Tozawa win on RAW. The rematch occurs and I canāt see a reason to do another title switch. I wouldnāt be surprised if Neville moves up the card. Prediction: Tozawa Jason Jordan & The Hardy Boyz vs. The Miz & The Miztourage (Kickoff Show) Strung together at the last minute since the Hardyās had no challengers with Scott Dawson out with injury and you could tell Monday night on RAW this was probably going to happen. Make no mistake, Jason Jordan isnāt getting the rub WWE hoped for with this stupid Kurt Angle story. The Miztourage is too good to be in this match. WWE still wants to ride on this train with Hardyās and Jason. Prediction: Hardyās & Jordan SmackDown Tag Team Championship ā The New Day (c) vs. The Usos (Kickoff Show) I love The New Day and the crowd loves The New Day. Donāt get me wrong, The Usos have very much stepped up into this role of being a great heel tag team but they just arenāt there yet for an extended run. You had them win clean against TND on Smackdown Live so I donāt see the title changing hands. The rivalry will continue though. Prediction: The New Day Big Show vs. Big Cass with Enzo Amore This is a match that should be on the kickoff show. The shark tank gimmick is stupid. Unless a heel turn from Amore is coming, I hope this is quick. Prediction: Big Cass and his big dumb entrance music Randy Orton vs. Rusev Remember when everyone thought Rusev would be a legit world title contender before his injury? Good times. Him and Lana have something in common in storylines, and thatās being losers and terrible gimmickās. Orton isnāt jobbing on another PPV to someone who isnāt going anywhere currently. Prediction: Orton SmackDown Womenās Championship ā Naomi (c) vs. Natalya Naomi has not been a great womanās champ. The only GLOW Iāve been feeling is GET LANA OFF WRESLTING the champ for zero reason, which has set up where we are today. That and these multi-women matches for contenders. Anyway, Natalya wins and I donāt think Carmella comes out and cashes in her MITB. Seems too obvious but if she does I bet she Baron Corbinās it. Prediction: Natalya John Cena vs. Baron Corbin Corbin got the LOL emojiās after Tuesday nightās failed cash in. Corbin doesnāt excite me as a champion so Iām glad he doesnāt have that briefcase. If the rumor of Cena going to RAW is true, then give the win to Corbin for the heat as he āgot rid of John Cena on SD Lifeā narrative. Prediction: Corbin Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt The demon king finally has been awoken for this match. He lost clean to Bray on Monday night so I see no reason to go for all this trouble in getting Balor in his makeup to loss again. I wouldnāt mind seeing this result create a new supernatural heel tag team. Prediction: Balor Raw Tag Team Championship ā Sheamus & Cesaro (c) vs. Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins Sheamus and Cesaro have done a great job as tag champs. Probably far exceeding anything I ever expected when it first came up. That time has come for them to drop the titles. Youāve had a tremendous build up to Ambrose and Rollins reuniting. I donāt see the WWE throwing a curve after all that. 2/3ās Shield winning seems like the direction needed and the money draw would be fantastic. Prediction: Shield Reunion Raw Womenās Championship ā Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Sasha Banks Iām happy this isnāt Bliss vs Bayley. Iām tired of Bayley. Her character is stale and watered down. This match is now the two best women on the Raw brand in a title match I really donāt know who to pick. I could see Bliss winning and staying as champ for a few more months and Banks getting her chance to really shine as champ. I just donāt see WWE done with Bliss in the spotlight but Banks wins in some fashion that keeps Alexa hunting her down. Prediction: Banks United States Championship ā AJ Styles (c) vs. Kevin Owens with Shane McMahon as the special guest referee Hereās a wild statement ā there will be controversy in this match. This will easily be the match of the night. And as much as I enjoy them, this is where the train needs to stop. AJ needs to retain and move on with KO probably fighting Shane in an upcoming PPV. Prediction: AJ WWE Championship ā Jinder Mahal (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura Everyone who reads the dirt sheets, knows the WWE is coming up on a tour of India and the biggest draw for that money will be the Canadian Mahal. I love how Nakamura has been built up since his main roster debut. He deserves to be in the title spotlight but I can see Jinder continuing to sell the narrative that he needs to cheat to win. These two will continue on and Iām willing to bet after the India tour, the title will change. Prediction: Mahal Universal Championship ā Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman vs. Samoa Joe I want nothing more than Samoa Joe to win this match. Thatās a guy who has since day one on the main roster, done what has been needed to make him a legit top heel threat. I donāt see Lesnar losing and at the same time thereās too much money to be made on a Lesnar ā Stowman match. Roman Reigns can go away. I feel bad for Joe in all of this because of how deserving he is. Prediction: Lesnar
