not indirecting anyone but i keep seeing the take that sam has power over dean because dean is so attached to and dependent on him. like it’s everywhere. and its just soooo fundamentally flawed. that is not how anything works. not to sound like a broken record but that type of dynamic (where one partner, the aggressor, views themselves as in fact controlled/dictated by the whims of the other) is actually very standard in an abusive relationship…

whether or not sam has ‘power’ over dean in this way is functionally irrelevant because his ‘power’ extends to his ability to somehow, what, psychically manipulate dean into doing what he wants?? whereas dean’s ‘power’ over sam is making sure sam adheres to exactly what he’s decided sam should do and punishing him if he doesnt do that, and deciding he has ultimate control over sam’s own decisions about his life (see main plot events of s4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, so on and so forth…).

In honor of my last reblog, I wanna talk about Aphmau and Blaze

They are the platonic friends accused of dating ever of all time. They are so comfortable with each other and everyone outside of their friend groups (and even some inside on occasion) make the assumption that they're dating. That the level of physical comfort they show is only shown between them and people they date.

But Aphmau likes being physical with people, and Blaze has admitted he's very touchy and likes contact. They already bounce off of one another really well almost every time they're in any mini game together, and Blaze is probably the second most common person for her to flirt with during the Starlight era, Aaron obviously being the first.

They're just so chill with each other. Blaze leans on Aphmau because she's the right height for him to lean on, and in return she's allowed to ask him for piggy back rides. He loves picking people up this is totally fine, he'll rarely complain about it. They've slept in the same bed together and have never slept together. Or maybe they have I dunno.

All I know is that they don't want to date each other. That even if Blaze is prone to developing crushes on any of his friends, she's one that he got over quickly and comfortably loves in this platonic manner. She feels comfortable and safe around him and honestly what more could he ask for? She's one of his favorite people and she likes him enough to rest her head on his chest while they're watching movies and murmur her little bits of commentary before she falls asleep.

i'm on shift at the ems, right, all dressed up and in gear. we just got back from a call and one of the other emts got a text asking "what's the tea"

now let me set the scene. there's me, a minor. there's 2 other emts, both much older women who have proper jobs and lives that don't revolve around the internet. and there's this guy who i don't know but i assume is either another emt or an emr.

anyways back to the text. emt who got the text is questioning wtf it means, and me being my helpful self, pipes up with "oh it means gossip!"

this starts off a hearty discussion about the origin of tea as a slang word and other terms. makes perfect sense, right?

not even five minutes later i am listening to the other 3 discuss going commando. yes that kind of going commando. occasionally someone looks over at me and tries to tone the conversation down. they fail. one emt is still raving about "tea".
