the way that hiccup looked at toothless and decided he couldnt kill him because he looked at him and saw himself. the way that there is a very large possibility that toothless thought the exact same about hiccup after he was freed from the ropes. the two of them looked at each other and could not bear to kill the other purely because they saw themself in someone who was not them. they saw fear and saddness in eyes that they were taught held the opposite. reverse AU of Temeraire and Laurence :D

this was inspired by several fics I’ve read of this AU and I was tempted to make laurence a regal copper but I wanted to keep their color scheme so I made Laurence an unidentifiable water dragon for the English navy and temeraire as a chinese prince. how they met can be up to you :)

I know that a lot of people are upset that Claramanda?? Clarrissa x Amanda didn't become a thing but I’m actually not you know why? Because we finally got a main character AJ and Luke relationship where they weren't cheating on each other or one died or something or other- they had problems, and they resolved them and married, like??? AJ and Luke are usually just betraying each other left and right, they rarely have a stable relationship and I’m not saying it was stable, but it ended in a healthy place and thats all that matters to me rn

no but the fact that everyone else is “we can get by without anyone but johnny” but johnny is “i can get by without anyone but ponyboy” just kills me so much like johnny is important to the entire gang but ponyboy is johnny's person, his best friend, he's the reason he killed bob, the reason he went into the burning church, ponyboy is the safe space, the home that johnny needs and johnny is the brother who listens that ponyboy wants, ponyboy and johnny are each other's entire world and johnny would go through everything again if it meant ponyboy would be okay

I need to bring up something I think a lot of people forget about double life when talking about Pearl and Scott dynamic in the life series (before I explode) and that fact is-

Pearl forgave Scott.

Sure she still holds a few grudges in limited life and hell even in wild life but also it never felt like genuine hatred for Scott more like pettiness if anything.

Not to mention for being one of if not the most fascinating and well known endings from the series with "tilly death do us part" being apart of everything galaxy duo related post. people really ignore the last thing she says after Scott dies which and to quote from pearl herself

"Scott..Oh Scott.. I guess I forgive you after all"

And I personally think we should talk about this more instead of portraying Scott and Pearl as sworn enemies after double life which is just not the case. Sure they're still bitter and constantly bring up old wounds as bits but at the same time theyre not enemies just people trying to heal.

Cleo and Pearl is a different story entirely though but that's a rant for another day.
