Hey, what about Private’s mom? How did his dad meet her, and manage to keep up a relationship long enough for him to be born? Were his mom and dad married? Also, did Private and his mom ever meet again? Or is his mom dead?
I had two questions like this so this is for both of you!
Backstory for Privates mother (Ivy Gentoo)
Tumblr media
⭐Theo’s mother, Ivy, was a flight attendant. She met Sam when he was on a mission early in his career. Back then, Sam was more rebellious, and Ivy’s bubbly personality amused him. On a whim, he asked her out, and one thing led to another—they had a one-night stand. When Sam tried to disappear without a word, Ivy was offended. She didn’t understand that his job made commitment impossible, nor that he didn’t want to be tied down. They parted on bad terms.
Sam never gave much thought to Ivy afterward. He occasionally saw other civilian women but had to be careful—relationships like that could get him fired. 😬
Unbeknownst to him, that single night resulted in Theodore’s birth.
Ivy loved Theo deeply—he was the brightest part of her life—but she knew she couldn’t provide him with the stable future he deserved on her salary. At the same time, she resented that his father wasn’t around to help. From a few hints in conversation that night, she had learned that Sam was quite well-off in his career. So why was she only having to care for him?
Desperate for support, Ivy tried to track Sam down when Theo was two years old. One of her hobbies was sketching, and after that night, she had drawn him several times from memory. Hoping someone might recognize him, she took those drawings and started asking around, sharing small details Sam had told her.
But instead of finding Sam, she attracted the attention of a broad-shouldered Englishman—Nigel.
As soon as Nigel learned that a civilian was digging into an agent’s identity, he stepped in to contain the situation. But what he hadn’t expected was to discover—and confirm—that his brother had a son. While the revelation of being an uncle brought him joy, it also alarmed him. Ivy, without realizing it, had made herself a target. She had drawn too much attention, and now people who shouldn’t know about Sam’s existence were aware of her—and the fact that she had sensitive information.
When Nigel confronted her, Ivy admitted she had only been trying to get financial help from Theo’s father. He sympathized with her as he saw that Ivy was struggling. She wasn’t careless—just desperate to do what was best for her son.
Nigel made her a deal. Sam would take responsibility for Theo for a while, and in return, Nigel would relocate Ivy, find her a safer job, and ensure no one was looking for her anymore. The plan was that once she was stable and secure, Theo could return to her. Ivy, heartbroken but knowing she had little choice, agreed. With a heavy heart, she sent Theo off with his favorite stuffed animal, his lunacorn. Then, Nigel took him back to London.
Long story short—Nigel confronted Sam in secret and absolutely tore into him over the situation. Sam denied it as much as he could, but Nigel refused to back down. He reminded Sam that he had made a choice that came with consequences, and it was his responsibility to deal with them. That he was going to help. Sam argued that juggling both his career and raising a child would be complicated, but Nigel shut him down with a backhanded remark challenging his competence as an agent if he couldn't be relied on for something as small as this.
So the years passed. Theo asked questions about his mother, but Sam always brushed them off with dismissive answers like "It’s not important." Almost like the same he would get when he wanted to know what him and his uncle did for work.  With little to go on, Theo remained curious. The only tangible reminder was the strange clinginess he felt towards a plush he owned.
And of course When Theo was six, he ran away with the boys. Sam, prioritizing his work, didn’t immediately make finding him a top concern. Meanwhile, Nigel, who was also in America at the time, couldn’t reach Ivy about it. With no way to contact her, and with Sam failing to act fast enough, Ivy was left in the dark.
All she could do was hope that one day, she would see her son again.
(thanks for the ask!!! :))) )

i love the fact that there are other penguin agents besides these four. even a penguin hero, we had Buck, he was running his own operations, and then there's Nigel who seems more professional, like he belongs to some sort of bigger penguin agency. the idea is so nice. it's not just these four being delusional, there are other penguins out there lol. also the fact that there are.. multiple "penguin enemies" (even though they're not naturally each other's enemies lmao) like 😭 what is going on

OKAY SO, LISTEN HERE
I'm wondering if the Antartica where the penguins come from was a place where the humans put the animals from others zoo to "release them" once something like humans saving them when they're hurt (something that happens a lot in real life) or finally leaving them in their natural habitat after keeping them in captivity happends Like, this is the only thing that can actually explain Kowalski Polac name and Private british accent if we keep the "Yeah is the same universe" theory
Bc i can just say; the penguins acquire the accent/names from the humans and that thing just stayed there to the next generations once they were putted back in Antartica
Instead of going; Well yeah Private it's from a Zoo in england and Kowalski is probably polac. That's why is another universe dummy
idk i just really like the idea of differents parts of the world sending different types of penguins in the same place

Meet the members of each of the three agencies;
The Tux brothers who fight for what’s right, the Bells siblings who serve to learn to bring peace and joy to the world, and the most elite operatives who protect those in need. Now put in the world where super villains have escaped to, they must work under cover in normal civilian personas to do what they must to keep the world and its people safe. However, can they set aside their rivalries to work together and balance each other?

A quick lil ref of my TPOM OC! Her story has changed a lot since I first thought her up but I think this is finally the final version lol more in depth info below:
Stella was born into the militaristic secret spy life; her mother coming from a line of undercover spies and her father being an tactician for HQ.
FAMILY HISTORY/BACKGROUND: Stella's parents were often busy with there work so she didn't have a very deep bond with them. Stella did grow up with her two siblings, an older brother Noah and a twin brother Nigel (Nigel and Stella hatched from the same clutch so they're considered 'twins'). Nigel and Stella were pretty close growing up but as Nigel grew up he dedicated more and more time to his undercover spy job so they unfortunately grew apart. Noah and Stella often argued; Stella having a layed back nature and Noah having a very strict and serious nature often causing conflict. Stella grows up and is a tactian for her own team, later her hatchling nephew Private comes into her care after Noah gets killed by an arch-nemisis (Private parents are a whole different story I’ll hopefully write about one day.)
Nigel and Stella coparents Private. Nigel often take Private on family missions to get him into the ‘family business’. On one of these missions in America Private gets lost from Nigel but finds our known three penguins. Some hijinks later and Private helps completes the mission the Rico, Kowalski, and Skipper. When Nigel finds him again and sees what a good team the four make he lets the three adult penguins bring young Private back to New York with them for further training.
(Stella was understandably pissed but understood when she heard from Private; they call and talk almost monthly.)
PERSONALITY: Stella is a rebellious, fun-loving prankster. She is a very quick thinker and witty which is why she is tactian/lieutenant in her own team (Won’t get into her team in this post bc it’s not fully developed). She is confident and a conversationalist which is also great for negotiating.
OCCUPATION: Stella was raised and expected to help out and work in the British HQ. Her brother were more than willing to work, even though Stella wasn’t as enthused she still agreed becoming a tactian for an interspecies team dealing with the most wanted villain animals across Europe.
NEW YORK: On a high stakes mission Stella seriously injures her flipper and is forced to take a leave. Bored on her ‘vacation’ she decides to visit her nephew Private in New York. Private and Stella have fun reconnecting and she gets along well with the team. Eventually she gets well enough to get back in the field but she declines ‘transferring’ to Privates team instead. Even though she is now part of the team she is unofficially retired and does not go on every mission with the boys. She likes spending her days chatting with the zoo animals or exploring New York, spending the evening and nights relaxing with the team. She isn’t opposed to being on missions, though. Stella has a knack for easily getting intel or she bounces ideas and strategies around with Kowalski.
DYNAMIC WITH THE TEAM:
PRIVATE: Deep familial bond. Since Private came into her care she felt an almost maternal bond for him. She was sad to see him transferred, burying herself in missions to get over it. They called monthly and after Stella got hurt Private was the one to suggest and visit and later a full transfer to the team. Noah and Nigel cared for Private but always scolded him for not being ‘masculine’ and ‘serious’ enough. Stella was the opposite, letting him explore his hobby and interests and even gifting him his first Lunacorn. Private will rant about the Lunacorns to Stella and Stella will let him, even though she doesn’t know anything about the cartoon she still loves hanging out with her nephew and hearing about his interests. Stella actually introduced Private to Shakespeare so they both share that interest.
SKIPPER: Begrudged friends turned to mutual pining. Stella likes to tease Skipper and bait him into getting mad which isn’t a hard thing to do at all. They often argue and are very competitive usually trying to decide who is the better sex. After Stella joins the team, the arguments slowly die down after they get to know eachother more and the slow burn begins, both developing crushes for eachother but never confessing.
KOWALSKI: friends. Stella isn’t as smart in the STEM category as Kowalski is but she’s still a tactician. Stella often engages in conversation with Kowalski, bouncing around different ideas and strategies or talking about their favorite classic literature such as Charles Dickens and Shakespeare. They also like to play chess. They both think the other is good company to be around.
RICO: Not as close as Kowalski but friends. The two are friendly with eachother but do not have much in common so they don’t really hang out. They both really like to play pranks, though. On there free time they are often seen pranking the lemurs, Alice, or other humans. On occasion Stella can convince Rico to play pranks on Skipper but only on the promise that if they get caught Stella takes full blame.
((WHEW okay that was very long and I hope comprehensible. This post was a long time coming bc her story kept changing…she wasn’t even originally related to Private until I re-watched the Uncle Nigel episode and heard Nigel mention an aunt and thought of her lol. Hope to draw and expand on her more and if anyone has any questions for/about her….my inbox is open!!!!))
(((Also P.S. to explain off why Private was on a mission with Uncle Nigel but canonically didn’t know Nigel was a spy, Private was very young and simply didn’t realize they were on a mission. He remembers that day and Nigel but only remembers his uncle as the absent minded coverup and not the serious and smart undercover spy that he actually was lol.)))
((((Also P.P.S HQ’ is kind of a broad term for the spy military animal thing that’s goin’ on. Think of the spy animals from Phineas and Ferb.))))
