❗Changes to My AU❗ – Private’s family Update📝
Hello Crew! I just wanted to explain something that’s been holding me back from making content lately: I really don't like the original headcanons I made for Private’s biological family.
They were written early on, before I really started developing this AU deeply, and they ended up way more dramatic and complicated than I meant. Honestly, they created more plot holes than they solved—and even if none of you noticed, I couldn’t stop thinking about them.
The truth is: his backstory was only ever supposed to explain a few simple things—how he got to the U.S., why he knows Uncle Nigel, and why Nigel thinks he’s spy material. That’s it! But I overdid it, and it started affecting how I worked on the rest of the AU.
So I’ve officially rewritten it! The new version is way more straightforward, better characters and fits the tone and canon of the AU better. It’s not meant to be a huge emotional arc—just background info to support other parts of the story.
The older headcanons are still up if you want to see them, but they’re no longer canon. BUT the physical designs for the characters are still good.
Thanks for your patience—I know I haven’t posted much, but I’m still working on things, It just takes me a bit to produce art, especially when I am still learning how to draw! If you have any questions I will be happy to try and answer them down below. I love you all and your engagement and words mean the world to me ❤️
Private's Updated Family Info:
Sam Fishy, an MI6 agent, became the reluctant guardian of Theodore (aka Private) after the boy's mother—someone Sam had a one-night stand with and had quietly been paying child support to—unexpectedly passed away. Sam took in the two-year-old out of a sense of responsibility.
At first, Sam tried to be a decent father, but the pressure of balancing espionage work and parenting quickly wore him down. After a few months, he became emotionally distant, though he still provided for Theo in every material way. Theo never lacked toys or comfort—just connection. He had a few playmates here and there, but his relationship with his dad remained cold and unfamiliar. Especially when he was never aware of what exactly his fathers job was...
The only warmth in Theo's life came from his "Uncle Nigel," who kept up a fun, goofy persona around the boy. Nigel, also a spy, (but like his brother has to hide that from private) was often busy but made time to visit when he could—and those visits meant the world to Theo. Still, he spent most of his early childhood feeling deeply lonely.
When Sam had to go to the U.S. for work, he brought eight-year-old Theo along under the pretense of it being a vacation. But it was the same empty routine in a different country—Theo alone in another room while his dad worked.
In Chicago, that’s when Theo ran away.
When Sam discovered his son’s absence, he searched for him and eventually found him with young Skipper, Kowalski, and Rico.
He could’ve taken him back. He was going to, originally. But seeing his son happier without him felt like betrayal. In Sam’s mind, he’d done everything right as a father, sacrificed a lot in his life. He couldn’t see how distant he’d become, how much his work had taken over.
So blinded by pride, he turned away—believing that if Theo wanted a different family, he could have one.
But when Nigel caught wind of what happened, he became intrigued. Even though Sam told him to forget about the boy, Nigel believed it was all part of some bigger plan. He hadn’t seen Theo’s potential as a spy at first—but maybe this was his way of breaking into the agent life. So he kept tabs on him over the years, eventually visiting again in the future to enlist his help with the Red Squirrel situation.

hii, quick question, is it normal that tumblr is telling me that you posted a few hours but i can’t see the post ?
Yes! Sorry! I posted a poll but then when I got a pretty large consensus on the answer. I decided to get rid of the poll just so it wouldn't clutter up my blog because I like to have a lot more art visible than text!. I didn't realize I was going to still have that notification go! So sorry!! ❤️

"Can't teach an old wolf new tricks"
🌟TPOM TV SHOW SEASON CONCEPT🌟
-After an order from his supervisor, Agent "classified" has to spend time in New York with the penguins. He's expected to do what they do, train like they do, and learn so that he can apply it to his own agency. Should be pretty straightforward... I mean- what kind of trouble do these boys even deal with anyways?
Oh wait.
He hasn't met the neighbors yet...
(❗Also: I wanted "classified's" actual agent name to be in the style of james bond so I made it: O-Five❗)

( I honestly was very focused on the writing only and wanted that to be the center point so that when it came to making it look pretty I wanted something simple.)
Btw after receiving praise for the background decals I wanted to disclose that I take no credit for the background art on THIS timeline! I used stock images by Canva, but I did design the whole thing! :)
Thank you y'all for your engagement and support❤️

I will be posting the official timeline for my AU tonight- but IMPORTANT NOTE!
‼️ The "recruiting private" teaser comic I made is no longer canon with my universe.‼️
I have been reworking the origin story over and over and over again (And doing a heck of a lot of research) and so what I've finally settled on isn't what I had previously. You'll understand more once you see the timeline.
Thank you all for continuing to support the page and reblog and like!!! I have to tell you this is one of my favorite parts of life is making this content!!! Love you all! Make sure to take care of yourselves!! ❤️

Is Buck Rockgut, Hans, Blowhole, Red Squirrel part of this story?
Hmmm that would be....YES!
My universe is just the original story with some adjustments and additions to settings/tones/characters/moments/ect so it would be applicable to their human versions.
I'm on vacation so I haven't had time to post but I will be posting a timeline very soon that explains where some of the canon fits into this universe.
I've tried very hard to include everything so if something comes up that I didn't anticipate I will adjust it :) To be honest I have only seen the movies (and specials) and a few episodes of the TV show but I would like to watch more cause I love the penguins very much!
Skipper: "I've rotted away in gulags, work camps, penal colonies in every dirty flea-bitten corner of creation. But I promised myself that I would NEVER end up in Hoboken!"---one of my favorite quotes.
Thanks for the ask! 😁😁

Hey, what about Private’s mom? How did his dad meet her, and manage to keep up a relationship long enough for him to be born? Were his mom and dad married? Also, did Private and his mom ever meet again? Or is his mom dead?
I had two questions like this so this is for both of you!
Backstory for Privates mother (Ivy Gentoo)
Tumblr media
⭐Theo’s mother, Ivy, was a flight attendant. She met Sam when he was on a mission early in his career. Back then, Sam was more rebellious, and Ivy’s bubbly personality amused him. On a whim, he asked her out, and one thing led to another—they had a one-night stand. When Sam tried to disappear without a word, Ivy was offended. She didn’t understand that his job made commitment impossible, nor that he didn’t want to be tied down. They parted on bad terms.
Sam never gave much thought to Ivy afterward. He occasionally saw other civilian women but had to be careful—relationships like that could get him fired. 😬
Unbeknownst to him, that single night resulted in Theodore’s birth.
Ivy loved Theo deeply—he was the brightest part of her life—but she knew she couldn’t provide him with the stable future he deserved on her salary. At the same time, she resented that his father wasn’t around to help. From a few hints in conversation that night, she had learned that Sam was quite well-off in his career. So why was she only having to care for him?
Desperate for support, Ivy tried to track Sam down when Theo was two years old. One of her hobbies was sketching, and after that night, she had drawn him several times from memory. Hoping someone might recognize him, she took those drawings and started asking around, sharing small details Sam had told her.
But instead of finding Sam, she attracted the attention of a broad-shouldered Englishman—Nigel.
As soon as Nigel learned that a civilian was digging into an agent’s identity, he stepped in to contain the situation. But what he hadn’t expected was to discover—and confirm—that his brother had a son. While the revelation of being an uncle brought him joy, it also alarmed him. Ivy, without realizing it, had made herself a target. She had drawn too much attention, and now people who shouldn’t know about Sam’s existence were aware of her—and the fact that she had sensitive information.
When Nigel confronted her, Ivy admitted she had only been trying to get financial help from Theo’s father. He sympathized with her as he saw that Ivy was struggling. She wasn’t careless—just desperate to do what was best for her son.
Nigel made her a deal. Sam would take responsibility for Theo for a while, and in return, Nigel would relocate Ivy, find her a safer job, and ensure no one was looking for her anymore. The plan was that once she was stable and secure, Theo could return to her. Ivy, heartbroken but knowing she had little choice, agreed. With a heavy heart, she sent Theo off with his favorite stuffed animal, his lunacorn. Then, Nigel took him back to London.
Long story short—Nigel confronted Sam in secret and absolutely tore into him over the situation. Sam denied it as much as he could, but Nigel refused to back down. He reminded Sam that he had made a choice that came with consequences, and it was his responsibility to deal with them. That he was going to help. Sam argued that juggling both his career and raising a child would be complicated, but Nigel shut him down with a backhanded remark challenging his competence as an agent if he couldn't be relied on for something as small as this.
So the years passed. Theo asked questions about his mother, but Sam always brushed them off with dismissive answers like "It’s not important." Almost like the same he would get when he wanted to know what him and his uncle did for work.  With little to go on, Theo remained curious. The only tangible reminder was the strange clinginess he felt towards a plush he owned.
And of course When Theo was six, he ran away with the boys. Sam, prioritizing his work, didn’t immediately make finding him a top concern. Meanwhile, Nigel, who was also in America at the time, couldn’t reach Ivy about it. With no way to contact her, and with Sam failing to act fast enough, Ivy was left in the dark.
All she could do was hope that one day, she would see her son again.
(thanks for the ask!!! :))) )

hiii :)
quick question since i thought about it just now: how old are the boys in your stories :)? 💙
Hi fantastic person!
For my origin story of the boys and When everybody's together- Skipper, kowalski, Rico and private- and they leave Chicago (my Antarctica) to go off and see the world. Their ages are...
Skipper: 16
Kowalski: 13
Rico: 12
And private is 6.
Obviously as they age up those age gaps are maintained 😉

I’m really happy that you were able to find motivation to keep on drawing again, your art and headcanons are really good and interesting! i can’t wait to see more :)! (also i really love how the fact that private ran away ties back to the bit of the comic you were working on, it so cool!)
keep up the good work!
Thank you!! If it weren't for the support of everyone telling me I should just do what I think is fun. I wouldn't have this motivation :) I don't know who you are but your words put a smile on my face ❤️
The thing is is I have all these headcanons and also an entire concept written down in a document of how the boys met (In my humanized universe)- And my original plan was to show you all that in the comic, but I just had so many ideas that it was too much to try to fit in that method of storytelling. SO now I'm dropping more lore and The backstory In small bits! So stay tuned. There will be parts of the comic referenced again- ❤️😁
I also love hearing other people's headcannons so if anyone wanted to pitch any they had for this universe- I'd love to hear them!

⭐SAM FISHY (privates dad) HEADCANONS⭐
Tumblr media
(BEAR WITH ME HERE- IM HAVING FUN)
⭐Sam is a native Englishman, a focused, mysterious, and highly successful MI6 agent. As one of the agency’s top operatives, he takes his career seriously and will do whatever it takes to eliminate potential obstacles. Unlike his son, he sees alliances as purely transactional—he forms connections only when they serve his interests, making it hard to tell which version of him is real. This is why, in "A Visit from Uncle Nigel", Nigel assumed Private was just putting on an act of being innocent and sweet—because he fully expected the kid to grow up just like his father.
⭐Private,( or real name Theodore), is Sam’s only son, with his mother out of the picture. Sam had raising him as his responsibility—after all, he couldn't show this was too hard for him—but that didn’t mean he actually spent much time bonding with him. Financially, Private had everything he could ever need, and Sam made sure there were always people around to take care of him. But this setup also allowed Sam the freedom to throw himself into his work, rarely checking in.
⭐Nigel was around Private a lot because of this, taking him on small outings and, every so often, calling out Sam’s questionable parenting—though Sam always shut him down with the excuse that his absence was "for the good of national security" and that it was the best he could do.
⭐Private never felt a real connection to his father. Sam was constantly coming and going, and whenever they did interact, Sam put on an awkward, forced facade of affection, like he was playing a role he didn’t quite understand. This only made Private feel like a stranger in his own home. The loneliness got to him—he longed for siblings, but that was never a possibility.
🇺🇸Trip to the U.S. (Image above)
⭐At six years old, Private’s boredom and isolation became obvious—even to Sam. So, when he heard Nigel was heading to the U.S. for business, he saw an opportunity: send Private along for a little vacation. The plan was simple—Private would stay for a bit, then Nigel would remain in the U.S. while Private was flown back to England, hopefully keeping him entertained (and quiet) for a while.
But then Nigel called that Private had run away. (With Skipper, kowalski and Rico)
Sam barely knew how to react. He told his brother he’d look into it, but in reality, he just… put it on a mental to-do list, lumping it in with the rest of his missions. And as time passed, it slipped further and further from him.
