It is not her fault that she gets a fine education in a convent school and taught by a group of nuns

It's not her fault that she has friends from that convent school, whom I bet formed a strong sisterhood with Cosette and still in contact with them even after Valjean and Cosette left the convent.

It's not her fault that she gets to live in a nice house in a Parisian suburban neighborhood after she left the convent, coupled with a garden teeming with pretty florals and plants, and a public park nearby.

It's not her fault that she gets to wear fashionable clothes of her time and wear quality accessories in post convent Eras.

And it is certainly not her fault that she gets to marry the man of her dreams.

So please, ladies and gentlemen, if you still bash Cosette, who absolutely deserved all those wonderful things happening to her after all the poverty and abuse she endured as a little child, Fantine, Marius, Valjean and all of her friends and cohorts over the years would be very disappointed in you.

Since you've been getting asks on the subject, I want to also say that I've rediscovered you, too, from back in the TBPoD days. One of my first fics was actually for the writing contest you held at the end (Lugubrious) and I have always held your work in high regard. I'm so sorry that it was such a negative experience for you; I want you to know that, despite that, your works and presence have always been a positive experience for me and doubtlessly many others. Thank you so much! That's what I mean about happy memories - I'll never forget how everyone came together for the finale of TPBoD! It was an amazing moment in time, filled with so much love - both given and received. 💚

I'll clarify that writing TPBoD itself wasn't a negative experience! The bad stuff happened in other corners of the fandom, but thankfully the story was left alone, which is really the reason we could pick it up eventually and finish writing it.

Writing that story together with two such wonderful writers and friends was an experience of a lifetime! I know for sure I wouldn't be the writer i am today if not for that experience, it's truly one I'll always treasure.

I love Quinn being an undercover cop for sure! Everyone would take punishing him for his betrayal very very seriously. And even Quinn would start to think he deserved it on some level.

Collins is such an interesting character for me because he fully wasn't on the right side of things for so long so I like the idea of him being part of the mafia. Maybe he got really close to Quinn while he was undercover and felt so hurt when Quinn was revealed as a traitor that he ends up letting things go on for far too long.

Collins made the right choices in the end but he definitely sided with his captain in the beginning. Not that he ever supported what the Captain and the crew did to Quinn! But he certainly did just...let it happen. I really like that it was a choice he actively made and the mental gymnastics he had to go through to stand by his captain until he was forced to deal with it face to face makes him fascinating to me. So I'd keep that in the au for sure! Plus it graces Collins with all kinds of delightful, well earned, guilt later on! 😍

ah my masterlist! (truly one of my favorite things ever with all the fics and all the vibes!) mainly i just gathered all my writing pieces, formatted a little introduction, and then made sections for each of my fics with titles! in there, i have a little moodboard picture to give the vibe of the fic out and then a brief synopsis, with character pairings and links to where the fics can be found :) along with that, i have if it’s being updated or not! theres a bunchn of other masterlists floating about as well that offer more examples, but i judt really like this format because it gives a brief intro to each fic but not where its overdone + a moodboard to give off all the fic vibes! :) that's sort of how i put it together, in the general sense!

plus im all about the aesthetics!!! haha! 😄✨

i hope that was a brief enough but detailed enough explanation of my thought process! i sort of just went with it and BAM!!! there we go!

WiP Wednesday: Medieval Glitra (but I’m grumpy about it)

Queen Angella’s voice was stone as she answered, “Her highness, Lord Catra.”

“I would rather marry King Hordak,” Glimmer wheezed, incredulous and not fully in control of herself.

“Glimmer!”

“Mother, it’s true! Lord Catra is, well, she-” Glimmer growled as she tried to come up with an appropriate analogy.

Prince Catra was one of the Horde’s top military strategists, although she was apparently craven enough to never been seen on the battlefield. What little Glimmer had heard of her painted a horrible picture of a self absorbed noble who didn’t deserve to be heir to the throne of even a despicable nation such as the Horde, let alone Brightmoon itself! 

“She is your betrothed, and soon to be King of Brightmoon. Do you not wish for an end to this war? You told me you would do anything to see it to its ends and this does so cleanly.”

When she had said anything she had meant dying in battle if need be not- not marrying some immoral prince with an ego only matched by her own temper!

“Yes, as would Hordak’s beheading!”
