i've got a playthrough of chapter 2 in the background on right now, and i really like the setup for susie and ralsei's dynamic going forward. it's clear that susie is starting to realize the full extent of the situation ralsei and the darkners are in;

but she still has a ways to go at navigating it. after all, kris isn't the only one in their group with the power of a lightner. telling him what to do is still telling him what to do, well-intentioned or not.

you know about the light world, right? why does toriel only seem to watch one channel over and over whenever she watches tv?

Ummm... it's, um. It's not that important.

...

...Umm... from what I can tell... she seems to like the background noise more than she likes watching it for itself. She'll put it on, and then grade papers, or read a book or something. I'm sure the weather channel is useful! But she only pays attention to it sometimes, haha, and it seems like she only really does that when she can't sleep. It's just, um, usually turned on and left that way until she turns it off again.

Um, that doesn't mean it's not important to her! She said, um, that she doesn't mess with the dials because they're old and she doesn't want them to fall off. Even if she's not paying active attention to it... it's still a constant to her. She wouldn't use the TV so much if she didn't like to do it, don't you think?
