2017 Author’s Notes

A repeat of the yearly-sum-up for my written works, like I did before. I’m going to post some of my personal thoughts about the fic I made this year! (ones with chapters updates count too) All of the fic I listed can be found on my AO3.

JANUARY

Through the Grapevine - a FE14 modern AU Zero+Leo fic I've got a lot of concepts set within my Bird's Milk verse and this was one of them. I can't remember what finally spurred me into finishing, but it was nice to write Zero's non-retainer aspects especially fatherhood.

MARCH

Taijitu - a FE14 A|B|O nsfw Marx/Hinoka fic A fic started in 2016 and finished, ended up having more plot/worldbuilding within it than I'd first intended. Also Ikona angst, so much angst. Probably has my best take on the Hoshido sib's relationships, whoops.

MAY

Litany - a FE drabble collection Tumblr prompts (I actually need to update and add more)

No Man Shall Break Asunder - a FE15 Mathilda/Clive nsfw fic @arthoure​ was craving some reunion nookie for this ship, and since I had a WIP that just wasn't matching the pair I first wrote it for I tweaked it into this final form. It's ridiculous that it's the only fic of its ship and rating on AO3.

Wasn't It Yesterday - a FE14 Siegbert+Marx/Hinoka family fic Something I started to celebrating fictional bdays with domestic fluff and baby!Sieg. Updated the final chapter but it got the least comments out of the bunch, guess it was lacking?

JUNE

Thro' Midnight Streets - a FE14 class swap AU Niles/Leo fic Written for a Nileo exchange on twitter, I got the prompt "class swap" and when with social class for the characters. Zero as Niles-the-born-noble while Leo was a forgotten royal bastard living on the streets. Ended up very political and not very shippy, but was a fun dip into a different AU setting.

JULY

New Shoots, Tangled Roots - a FE14 AU Marx/Hinoka nsfw fic A spinoff oneshot from IAWG and part of a double anniversary post, wherein spooning gets x-rated. Had it half-way written for a long time then a prefect place for it came up to fit it into the story. Compared to my last high rated spinoff it has way less hits, makes me wonder if less people are reading?

AUGUST

Off Call - a FE14 Marx/Hinoka fic Yet another Modern AU, this year only added a couple things including a very projecting drabble for Hinoka's birthday.

SEPTEMBER

Einherjar - a FEH fic Actually wrote this for TWRzine's volume 2, featuring my two favorite royal pegknights. Queen Hinoka is my favorite part about Conquest, and I find the parallels with Elincia very interesting.

OCTOBER

Headwaters - a Loz:BotW fic A non-FE canon-set story? Indeed! I wanted to share some of my speculation for the newest game, and it was fun writing for a different POV than I have been for the last couple years. Zelda's so nerdy and insecure in this game.

Enthroned, Love and Beauty - a FE14 nsfw fic A naughty birthday fic for Marx as well as kink meme fill. Funnest part was aging the OTP up for this oneshot.

NOVEMBER

Fair Weather and Storm - a FE4 fic Despite the publishing date I did in fact write this during Nov, so am counting it :P Two out of three of the Gen1 ships I based on my Galore verse (Azel/Lachesis, Tiltyu/Levin) but Lex being with Ayra was mostly to set up potential conflict with the twins in Gen2.

DECEMBER

Into A Walled Garden - a FE14 AU Marx/Hinoka fic THE LONG FIC for me. Tried to pick up the monthly update ball, and sorta did? Once again year got busy around Oct. Wordcount’s currently 100k+ words, and finally broke 300 kudos. I still do want to complete this, but at the same time keep debating on the time investment vs reward (AKA my motivation's running dry)

This volume we are focusing on Shadows of Valentia FE characters. We’re seeking: artists, comic makers, and writers to collaborate with. Applications for volume 3 close July 20th.
