Alinua and the Life Primordial, from @comicaurora
ID: a digital illustration of Alinua, looking over her shoulder, with one hand up, green magical lines gathering at her palm. Her eye and her Life rune are glowing, and she has a tear running down her cheek. Behind her is the face of the Life Primordial, who is likewise in tears, looking straight ahead. End ID.

Missing Tahraim hours
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
😔 I miss him man. He’s probably my favourite out of the gods (although Vash comes pretty close, and so does Ilia + Argist), and I love him as much as all the main group characters. We haven’t seen him in well over a year now… I hope he becomes plot relevant at some point soon (highly likely, that man is way too mysterious for his own good and the last time we saw him was with the damned soul splicing sword)

I asked some people what i should draw and one of them asked me to draw the character "Tahraim" from the webcomic "Aurora" by @comicaurora :D
(Idk if i got the haircolour right cuz in the wiki it says his hair is brown but in the comic most of the time it looks very much black to me, so in the end i just picked the colour that was easier to shade .w.)

what's tahraim's deal
Like generally?
Tahraim is the god of the forge, and the only deity that we know of that was a mortal at sometime in the past. He remade himself into a god; something Red has implied is deeply unpleasant. Tahraim’s forge is also a demiplane!

Round 3, Match 2: Kendal vs. Hand of Malenia
Kendal
Tumblr media
From: Aurora
Wielder: Vash, later Kendal
Kendal was a sword created for Vash (forged by the smith god Tahraim), god of the city that shares his name, from starmetal and a blue gem. Leery of an imminent battle with the storm god, Tynan, Vash sought a sword that would defeat a storm, but instead received from the smith god an ingot of starmetal and a blue gem, as well as advice to “make the materials his own.” In the battle with Tynan, Vash loses an eye and an arm, and then reforms his body to incorporate the materials he was given–the starmetal into an arm, and the blue gem into an eye. This allows him to summon starfire, destroying Tynan’s clouds and winning the battle. Vash then has the smith god forge him a sword of those materials, and he names the sword Kendal, meaning “right hand.” The sword retains the ability to summon starfire. It then falls to the second inhabitant of Vash’s body, the main character of the story, who names himself Kendal after the sword.
Hand of Malenia
Tumblr media
From: Elden Ring
Wielder: Malenia, Blade of Miquella; the player
This katana was built into Malenia’s prosthetic arm and is resistant to rot. The prosthetic symbolizes her many victories in war. Some say that when her weapon is raised up, wings are visible, symbolizing her fierce determination. The player can acquire the blade by drawing it out of her remembrance after her defeat.

What I'm scared is about to happen next (and my writer brain went wild)
(Spoilers for the webcomic Aurora) (written between the releases of of page 1.22.61 and 1.22.62) (this will consume my thoughts until I put it out there so here you go ig)
We zoom out from the Floof Squad, finally catching a break and heading back to camp in order to rest.
Scene changes to show a dark cave, lit mostly by a captive blue glow.
"I've figured it out" the Collector turns toward the blue soul with a smile, looking more sinister than she intended. "There's no need to hide it anymore, I know how you got out."
Vash scoffs, hiding his fear.
"It was quite careless of me, in hindsight, leaving your sword like that; even though I've heard the stories."
"My sword?" Vash lies, "What makes you think that was it?"
"Oh please," the Collector sheathed a knife- a regular one this time- and placed it on her belt. Nothing could pose a danger to her anymore, but it was best to be prepared. "I know it's more than just a weapon. Tahraim told you to make it a part of you, and that's exactly what you did."
"Stories exaggerate." Vash tried to convince her away. If she went after the sword, she was bound to find the person carrying it. He could not let her to find him!
"Well clearly not this one. At least not that part of it."
Vash thought desperately of something to distract her. "So you think a different part was?" he attempted.
The Collector waved her hand in dismissal. "I don't really care about the rest of that story, real or fake. The sword is what matters."
She made to leave, but stopped and put a hand to her chin in thought. "I suppose I should give proper respect to the only remaining part of your domain." she mused. "You gave it a name, right? Something about your arm- oh yes." She smiles again, even more sinister than before. "Kendal."

Hey red, are there conceptual gods, or at least very broad nature sprits of the six elements. Not like the primordials but like gods that represent the six known elements, as it seems like that would be a very significant concept in the world of aurora. If so, whom? If not, do the elements or higher properties thereof technically fall under the domains of specific gods? like tahraim for fire and its transmutation, kiska/maybe ishva for water and its inevitable eroding, the twins for life?
There aren't elemental gods that would fill the roles vacated by the elemental primordials, but many gods command aspects of primordials and their higher properties - not the totality of those properties, but ways that mortals interact with those properties. Tahraim the Smith's domain overlaps with the transmutative property of fire, but specifically in how it is applied to forging. Pagos is the goddess of ice and snow - not the entire ice phase state of Primordial Water, but glaciers and blizzards and the way ice and snow affect mortals. Kiska makes the ocean her home, but she doesn't command water overall; her domain has more to do with the migrations of ocean life and the direction of warm and cool currents. Lyssandra, goddess of evolution, embodies the process through which species adapt and change over the generations, but she doesn't command Life's ability to herself adapt and survive. Hesta the Open Hearth embodies an aspect of fire found only in campfires and fireplaces - the comforting warmth that nurtures the root of communities. These gods, by their nature, can exert control on the relevant elements around them - but they aren't gods of the elements.
