Ok so if you listened to TemperMental’s new album Play Time, then you heard their song Don’t Speak, and if you didn’t listen to their album, what are you doing with your life?
Ok so, don’t speak is awesome because some of it is in 3/4 and some is in 4/4, love that, also I love the intro AND it also has a similar rif/chord progression in some parts to House Of Wolves, or at least that’s what I thought of when I listened to it. It’s the little “bum bum bum bum” thing ig. That’s a terrible way to describe it but just go listen to the two songs!

Tempermental at The Doll Hut in Anaheim, CA on March 29, 2024 by Don Adkins. #tempermental @TEMPERMENTAL_
One of the coolest new arrivals on the LA music scene in the last couple of years is Tempermental. We first heard of them as a nominee for an award last year at the Hollywood Independent Music Awards, pretty cool for a band just out of the gate. One of the busiest bands in LA we’ve already seen them gracing all the cool venues including the Whisky-A-Go-Go in Hollywood. This week we caught them at…

I'm once again thinking about the missed opportunities to have Klaus and Kol bond more. Part of Klaus' whole motivation as a vampire is to get his werewolf part back and to finally be stronger than Mikael (sort of, I'm simplifying) both of which can be obtained by breaking his curse. But Kol? Kol is the only other original that can relate to having a fundamental part of themself ripped away from them. Klaus might not have known he was a werewolf until he killed, but he likely still had a connection he couldn't explain, as evident by him going to watch the wolves transform. And something he'd never been able to explain was now gone. He might only be able to realise the connection afterwards through its absence.
Kol though. Kol had grown up with magic, a connection to nature and the world around him in a way the rest of his siblings supposedly didn't have. And then he gets turned. And not only has his baby brother died, his father has just murdered him and the rest of his siblings after forcing them to drink human blood, which he'll later learn. Now, not only does he have to deal with the grief of Henrik's death and also his own but also the loss of his magic. A loss that's likely only worsened by Kol being a self-proclaimed child prodigy.
Kol is pretty much the only one who could understand what Klaus is going through with the binding of his wolf. We know Kol searched for ways to get his magic back/carry on practicing magic in the same way that Klaus was looking for ways to break his curse. While Klaus likely could still feel his wolf there despite being bound, Kol has no access to his magic anymore. I just think they should've been able to bond or connect over their shared loss of an intrinsic aspect of their selves at the hands of their parents

Bellum still hadn't fully recovered.
But what he had done was make a scabbard for the sword he made, and that had been difficult.
The scabbard was heavy. The wood for it was special. And expensive if bought. And a bitch to carve.
It had been worth it.
He held it in his hand. Still exposing the gem.
It burned like a pearl of fire. It felt like it could contain so much power. He still didn't know what it was.
And he wanted someone. Someone not his father to appraise it.
Enter... well. Reyna.
Reyna was no stranger to uniquely forged blades. Her own Anathema was one such example. The blade was made of a glass forged by the soul of a demon. The hilt was adamantium, with a diamond in the center between the handle and the blade. And the pommel was a reinforced emerald, cut into a spear like shape.
So, naturally, she would be able to tell from a glance of the blade that it was something special.
"So, you forged this yourself?" She asks, as she examines it. It's like she can feel Bellum's own essence within the blade.

I wish I could share how heavenly the pink rose on top smells! The other two are those tiny roses you get for $6 or something at the supermarket, and then they usually die about a week after you get them home. I got the yellow one in 2021 and the variegated red and white one just last December. They both nearly died from powdery mildew or something this spring. I had to cut them completely back down to nubs and douse them with copper-based antifungal constantly, and they somehow came back.

Hi!!! I'm not sure how old your blog is, but I've stumbled across it now! I was just reading some of your stuff and I wanted to know: Is 'Devai" the term you're using for the Nation-people? I never know what to call them myself, like how would humans refer to them as, do they know they are their country people, and what not. If Yes, how did you come up with the term 'Devai'? :0
Hello!!
Yes, 'Devai' is the term that I use for nations in my headcanon! It's based on the word 'Diwata'. In pre-colonial filipino tradition, the Diwata are nature spirits who protect the land and sometimes the people who reside within their land too. I thought that it was appropriate, given what nations are supposed to represent!
Devai (or Devas, singular) is how they refer to each other within the Devai community. Humans have come up with different names for them across the centuries. "Nation" is a relatively recent name for them, which I like to think started to be coined by the masses in the 19th century, particularly in Europe.
As for whether people know them or not, I think that varies greatly depending on the culture and the devas in question themselves. There are Devai who are bonded to communities who are 100% aware of who they are and what they represent. There are some whose identities, by choice or otherwise, are on a strict need-to-know basis. Devai can blend into society easily as they don't appear different from the average human. Really, the only way you'd be able to tell that there's more to them than they seem is if you 1) saw them in a fight, 2) spend a prolonged amount of time around them.
Hope that answered your question!! ^^

I know Another Day isn't canon these are different versions of the characters etc etc but I still find it interesting that both Joshua and Minamimoto are generally kinder, more tolerant people in a world where Joshua has a place in the RG where he can go to be a normal kid for a little while and Sho has a non-destructive creative outlet and positive relationships with the people around him
