Ok, first of all, I just read Sarge and Lil Mama, and WOW! Your writing is so good! I noticed Ella Fitzgerald's name mentioned a few times; does she have anything to do with Ella’s name? If so, that’s super sweet and sentimental, especially because that was the first record they played in 'Even Educated Fleas Do It' when they were getting the drinks out of the closet refrigerator.

Oh I love that you caught this!!! Yes, I kinda gave them 2 motivations for the naming.

One being Ella Fitzgerald mainly but also to give their first daughter a name with elements of their own first names since she would likely marry and no longer be an “EP” like them but she would still have the iconic E.

What was your overall feeling about your writing in 2023?

Beginning of the year: I'm a fake writer!!! Middle of the year: okay I think I remembered writing End of the year: I will name my first born child Baldur's Gate 3

Overall, I'm unsure. I'm not sure if I've grown as a writer? I feel I might even be stagnating with my style, creativity and skill I really don't know and struggle to be objective about that. But I know that I think (?) I've gotten a bit more comfortable in what I write and I've accepted I write niche things that not many people will like or gravitate towards. And that's okay.

What I do write, the people who love it love it really intensely and even if I make a lasting mark on one person, that means the world to me.

I've gotten slower at writing, definitely. Maybe a little more thoughtful about it than I used to be. But as always, I'm unafraid of what I write. I thought writing githyanki I'd come out writing weirder and fucked up shit, but it's been so much feelings LOL, with some fucked up shit. Sometimes stuff surprises you I guess.

What were you proud of? What were the highlights?

Couple of things: Birthing two tags on AO3 again. Tav/Voss and Tav/Orpheus. Three if you count Reader/Orpheus too. That's always a fun milestone in a fandom and something to be happy about.

Writing about OCs again!!!! I had been neglecting OC writing for so long and I'm so glad BG3 got me back into some OC focus and especially with one of my long term OCs, Vanquish, who I've been giving so much spotlight and love to. She deserves it. And it seems like others like her too, which makes me insanely happy. So thank you to those that enjoy her.

Also proud of bringing some people into the Tav/Voss light. Especially with my fic 'first among many'.
