A few thoughts under the cut!

Andrew works at a coffee shop in a college town, so far with all the foxes except Aaron, and Neil’s been far away on the run. I’ve been putting Robin in this one and I bet Seth hangs around the shop for Allison. Aaron will pick up a shift or two but mostly he’s focusing on school.

Anyway one day in a cold winter a new guy comes into the shop looking to warm up, and Andrew just happens to be working the register (rare). It’s hard to tell with the mask, but this guy doesn’t seem to be much older than him or the team, and Andrew can catch glances of bandages and band-aids under his clothes.

He becomes a regular through winter, but none of the baristas can decide on his name because he gives a different one every time he comes in.

Thomas smiled. He started cleaning the cups, when the doorbell rang, signaling someone’s entry. 

Thomas drys his hands before fixing a placid look towards the new customer ( “It is not required to smile at customers”, Aldo says. “Just, don’t scowl at them, I guess"). When he saw who the customer was, suddenly, he found it difficult to speak.

A man, probably in his early fifties, with a nearing shoulder length black hair, and the deepest, brownest eyes Thomas has ever seen, smiles at him. The smile makes the stranger’s eyes sparkle, like the nights back at Thomas’ hometown. He was carrying only a shoulder bag, but upon further inspection, he can see that the bag is stuffed, probably with a laptop and papers. This is the first time Thomas has seen his face. He doesn’t remember seeing him at the university, nor at his previous department.

“I would like your strongest coffee possible. I need something to shake off the jet lag. Is it possible to get three espresso shots to go?”
