I imagine at first the beast looks like a statue of the mark on it’s lorekeeper’s body and they are gold like the mark but quickly come alive and regain their natural coloring

Like pokemon in the anime for a few seconds being a blue silhouette of itself from the pokeball

Was just thinking about the amount of animals Obi-Wan interacts with compared to literally everyone else and in the Clone Wars episode where Kamino gets attacked he literally gets saved twice by the same ray-like animal and just...

The growth from judging Qui-Gon for the 'pathetic lifeforms' he picks up to whatever he has going on during the Clone Wars era. He must have gotten that from Qui-Gon though, right?

And because it's my brain and it's rotting with all the star wars stuff I am consuming I was thinking of Obi-Wan saving all these creatures and the 212th having to deal with that. Surely they made one of the rooms pet proof in case one of them needs a new home. There also have to be clones who love that because of course Obi-Wan can't really take care of rescues on top of all his duties.

After the first few times this happens Cody learns to order animal food and other necessities. And if the Republic doesn't fulfill these requests or asks too many questions he'll just have to make sure to organize them on planet during the campaigns.

Cyril and Runa don’t entirely understand their weird kids but they loved them

Runa tells the apprentices to punch someone in the face and try to dislocate their jaw if someone is bothering them

Cyril always tells them not to do that but he wouldn’t punish them if they happened to do it

Runa encourages their stupid but harmless activities

She sits on the sidelines like a cig mom at her kid’s soccer game

You know how Commandant Stilson sold Ranger titles to rich kids in the Early Years? I wonder if any of the "bought" Rangers are still around by Ruins of Gorlan. Like, imagine some rich unmarried middle child whose parents buy them a job as a Ranger because they just want him gone so bad. However, instead of buying himself a velvet cloak and flaunting his power around, he puts 213% of his pussy into becoming an *actual Ranger* based on tiny scraps of knowledge and hearsay.

He ends up joining the rebellion because he has genuine respect for the Corps/king but because the EY Ranger Corps was a bureaucratic nightmare with no documentation literally no one knows he's anything more than a slightly underperforming Ranger with a shitton of determination. Crowley only catches on like 30 years later when refiling some pre-EY paperwork and finds the "receipt" of his position's sale. By then, our unnamed fake-Ranger has had 3 apprentices and is nearly retired so Crowley just sweeps it under the rug.

[Alternatively: Everyone knows he's a "bought" Ranger immediately but he has so much moxy that they retro-fit him into a late apprenticeship anyway.]

just read the accidental apprentice by amanda foody and unfortunately every time mar-mar was mentioned i mentally sang "ooh girl shock me like an electric eel" which maybe somewhat undermined tadg and mar-mar's fearsome reputations
