IN-GAME BIOGRAPHY

Jason "Askal" Timog was born and raised in the rural mountains of Davao Oriental, Philippines. At 18 years old he enlisted in the army, motivated by the rampant terrorist attacks on his country. He would later join the Philippine Scout Rangers, where he was nicknamed "askal" meaning "feral dog", from a habit of baring teeth during vigorous trainings. One of his deployments was a joint operation between MARSOC and the Scout Rangers, tasked to take down a chain of Al-Qatala strongholds in Southern Philippines. Among the MARSOC operators was Phillip Graves. In 2019, Askal and several other Rangers were involved in a mutiny. Although it was a failure, the rebels took multiple innocent lives before fleeing the area. Askal barely escaped trial thanks to the help of his sister, who was exiled by their family for being transgender. She took him to Canada, but it was a matter of time before he's recognized. Commander Graves approached Askal at a perfect time, offering security in exchange for his expertise. He proved to be a valuable soldier for Shadow Company. In 2021, Graves formed "Whiskey Company" a team of operators specializing in amphibious and jungle warfare, led by Askal who was rather enthusiastic about it as he was teamed up with his friends. Early 2023, Whiskey was dispatched to track down Konni strongholds across Europe and gather intel of Makarov’s inner circle. The intel would later aid TF-141 and Shadow Company on their relentless search for Commander Makarov.

What are your thoughts on Beckina (not surprised that I would ask about that) ....and Sasha/Tina?? because I've never heard of that ship before and I sort of want to learn more😊😭

I think that Susmita and Tina would work well as a couple if they could overcome Susmita’s timidity and Tina’s tendency to get clingy and weird with her crushes. Susmita is much more academically-inclined than Tina but they do have things in common: Boyz 4 Now, photography, and so on. As well, we see in both of Susmita’s main episodes (“UFO No You Didn’t” and “FOMO You Didn’t) that Susmita is a kind person who helps others, something that Tina obviously needs. Tina, on the other hand, canonically helps to inspire Susmita to be braver. Together they could bring out the best in each other: Susmita helps Tina stay focused while Tina helps Susmita stay brave. They obviously enjoy each other’s company as well.

Sasha/Tina, on the other hand, is a mess waiting to happen, lol. Sasha is catty and can be a real tool. Tina likes “bad” boys but only really in fantasy. When presented with actually bad boys–Jonas, Jordan–Tina inevitably loses interest because she doesn’t actually like breaking the rules. She’s willing to help out her family and friends, but Sasha strikes me as the type to troll for the lolz, while Tina has gotten even less inclined to rebel as the years go by. Plus, Sasha canonically uses insults as witty banter, whereas Tina only uses insults as just that–insults. I think that they’d have an interesting dynamic and you can always write AUs of anything, but canonically I can only see them as frenemy exes who miraculously still talk but only to snark (Sasha) and sardonically insult his dumb yacht club friends (Tina with Gene and Louise’s help).
