Boomsday Project: Φ Reveal
Φ is used as the symbol for magnetic flux, which is appropriate for this out-of-season reveal. Why are Team Five adding cards to sets almost a year after release? It’s impossible to know.
But let’s slip back in time, and for just a moment allow the present to become the future, and the past to become the present...
Tumblr media
SN1P-SN4P is another keyword soup Legendary, much like Zilliax. It’s a little strange to see two very similar Legendary minions in the same set, but I guess Team Five liked both designs. SN1P-SN4P looks to be the more aggressive of the two - it’s a decent early game buff, and thanks to the surprise return of Echo, SN1P-SN4P can be a nice source of burst to finish off your opponent. You can even spread the buffs out between your minions, in order to not waste damage. The 1/1 tokens are a nice bonus, providing more Mechs to buff, and also helping to protect from board wipes.
The return of Echo is interesting, since it suggests that expansion keywords could see use in other sets. Perhaps we’ll even see a Magnetic minion in the Year of the Raven’s third set. Some people think this might herald even more keyword mixing in the future, but I’m not convinced. Something like Time Spiral, a Magic: The Gathering set that used a large amount of the game’s keywords ended up being insrutable to new players, and Team Five spend a lot of time design for new players. But hey, the door’s been opened now, so who can predict what weird stuff Team Five will do in the future.
Coming back to the now, SN1P-SN4P is really weird. It won’t be available in Boomsday Project packs, but it’s part of the set. It mixes set keywords in a way that hasn’t been seen before, which while neat, would probably make more sense in a set with a returning keyword gimmick. SN1P-SN4P feels a bit like a rejected Rise of Shadows card that ended up being used anyway. Very strange.
I blame Barry Allen. His abuse of the timeline has go on for too long!

The Netherstorm isn’t just a power source. Nether radiation has some pretty interesting side-effects too. It significantly amplifies arcane outputs, and, at high enough levels of exposure, can even over-charge normal creatures. Permanently!

Hearthstone Introduces Single-Player Experience, Puzzle Mode
Hearthstone Introduces Single-Player Experience, Puzzle Mode
As with every Hearthstone expansion, there is always a single-player experience. This month’s release of The Boomsday Project has done quite well so far, but things are getting even better. Blizzard released The Puzzle Lab this week, a different, very challenging single-player mode!
Here are some more details from Blizzard:
Each lab…

Are there any decks you're excited to try out in Boomsday?
Yeah, absolutely! Although my first attempt at building Deathrattle EggDemon Zoo was… not good, 3 losses in 3 games. Alright, forget that one.
I haven’t crafted anything yet which limits my options a bit.I was very pleased to get Dr. Boom, Mad Genius but he may be better in Wildthan Standard right now. The Warrior Mech/Rush decks from these first few daysseem a little too “fair” compared to the broken synergies other classes flaunt.Control Warrior requires a few legendaries I don’t have.
For Rogue, I’ve seen (i.e. lost to) some cool Deathrattledecks. I thought Mech Rogue might be good in Wild but I haven’t sat down tocompile a decklist.
I got a golden copy of the legendary Paladin spell so I’dlove to try that.
How about you all, any meta-breaking discoveries so far?

Sweet Boomsday Loot
I actually unpacked cool things! Overall I opened 62 packs from saved gold and the free packs.
Sweet Legendary Cards
Myra Rotspring for free
Myra’s Unstable Element
Zerek’s Cloning Gallery
The Boomship
Dr. Boom, Mad Genius (yeah!)
Subject 9 (okay...)
That’s five whole Legendary cards from packs, which is a pretty decent rate.
Epic Flailing
I didn’t open more than two of any Epic, which is good and proper.
Dreampetal Florist x 1
Unexpected Results x 1 (eh-ugh)
Power Word: Replicate x 1
Reckless Experimenter x 2 (yay weird card)
Golden Academic Espionage x 1 (ten shinies for the price of one)
Omega Mind x 1
Beryllium Nullifier x 1 (much ‘excitement’)
Omega Defender x 1
Holomancer x 1 (bah)
Loose Specimen x 2 (double bah)
Seaforium Bomber x 1 (making a bang)
Star Aligner x 1 (meh)
14 Epics from packs, which is around about average. Also one of them is shiny, so woo.
Crimes of the Many
Via forbidden bookkeeping, I know that I unpacked 147 extra cards, all commons and rares. I got a hefty 1090 dust for disenchanting them. Notable mentions:
Nine copies of Elementary Reaction
Eight Demonic Projects, which I think is bad design
Eight Skaterbots, which makes sense
Four Goblin Bombs
Eight Whirligliders
Three Explodinators
Six Bomb Tosses
If I could put all my Goblin Bomb related cards into a deck, I could summon 24 Goblin Bombs. Setting them all off at once would do 48 damage, which might even kill a Druid or Warrior!
Finite Deck Slots on Infinite Earths
With a bunch of new cards comes a whole bunch of new deck ideas. However I’m using most of my deck slots because I need decks to cover all the quests such “Be a Rogue Winner“ and “Play Metaphorically a Billion Murlocs“. This will probably lead to some awkward shuffling as I decide which decks need to die so that I can make sweet Dr. Boom decks, crazy Goblin Bomb decks and also get back on the Mill Train in Wild since I do have Kingsbane, and two copies of Lab Recruiter.
End of Post Thoughts
So I haven’t actually play much due to various factors, but it’s probably a good idea not to miss the early experimental meta. Only now can you find success with terrible ideas like Venomizer + Missile Launcher, Unlimited Bomb Works, and Mecha’thun Paladin.

Annunciata la nuova espansione di Hearthstone!
Nuovo Articolo https://www.nerdpool.it/2018/07/11/annunciata-la-nuova-espansione-di-hearthstone/
Andiamo a vedere cosa sappiamo!
