Forever thinking about that one scene in Jade City where Shae asked Hilo about why he wasn’t worried about her betraying him and Hilo being Hilo just laughed it off saying that if Shae decided to betray him then he would have deserved it because he must have been a terrible brother for his sister to want to kill him.

I just…he’s such a complex character to love.

Fonda Lee gave us one of the sexiest moments in modern literature when, in Jade City, she had Hilo go “Heaven help me Shae, I’m going to kill them all”. But oh at what cost, at what godammend cost.

I love the Greenbone Saga books but the covers are kinda dull. Then I see the German language cover for the first translation coming out later this year and god damn I'm buying one just to have that cover.

I love how in the Greenbone saga all or Bero's plans don't seem that bad until we see them from the perspective of everyone else. Like how did this kid think it was a good idea to leave the cemetary staff uniforms by the guy they just killed. Among other things! How have they not caught this guy yet.

this is something i can’t ever predict, it just happens, but i’ll be listening to music while reading any particular book and a song will pop up in my shuffle as i’m immersed in the story, and it all just clicks, it’s so uncanny the way the lyrics will completely reshape what i’ll be reading and throw me off a metaphorical cliff, i can’t get it out of my mind rn
