Hande Nutcracker Part 2: The mouse king

I guess this is a lineup now, here is the mouse king! Mortimer + a side comparison to Riles

(Everyone is an adult, Mortimer prop is the oldest by a few years)

I am aware that he doesn't look exactly like a mouse, but I had a lot of struggles figuring out his design + I tried to give him some mouse features, but he legit gave me this vibe XD (This special holds a special place in my heart)

(The mouse ears or whiskers did not work at all XD)

So, I decided to sacrifice it for a good concept and give him a "shapeshifting" type aspect to his character abilities. It's kinda like the vampire turning into a giant bat monster instead he transforms into a huge rat with seven heads (like in the OG version)

I did give Mortimer a mouse/rat shaped sorta thing on the chest, so I think is a special amulet that allows him to freely change from his human to his mouse form in the Fantasy world, as I do think that Owen prop would have turned him into a little mouse in Riley's world

I do think Owen probably dabbled with some dark magic like in the canon universe, hence why there is a fantasy world in need of help and the fact that he pushed his Goddaughter into it knowing it was real and that she wouldn't get hurt...that badly

So, in a sense, Owen probably would be the main antagonist of the Au and Mortimer is more like a gray character. I prop will take some inspo from his in-game counterpart, mostly on the paranoia and his difficult relationship with the other

But also his strained relationship with Owen, and maybe the more manipulative aspects, this time it's Owen acting impulsively hurting other people, so this is prop something he can see in Riley that makes him lower his defenses since Owen pretty much pushed her into his world

Regarding their relationship? It's mostly Platonic and friendly. I can see them being able to build a healthy alliance and friendship as these two are most likely to get close and bond over due to being overly smart and having some similar characteristics

So, Mortimer might be the first actual friend Riley makes before Daisy (since Riley is distrustful by nature) and I can see their friendship being a change of heart of Mortimer to form a truce with the other kingdoms to save their world, but mostly to help Riley get home

Also, I forgot to mention that his hair is white in my attempt to give him more mouse features. It is meant to represent the idea of white fur XD

You uploading the Nutcraker early made my day! I’m currently babysitting and the child isn’t too happy cause she’s not feeling good.

I had a question for the au in general, has anyone gotten a really bad sprain that everyone thought would be the end of the individuals dance career? I know the Vax has an injury, so would he take it worse than everyone else but be ready to help them no matter what?

I think Keyleth definitely had a bad one when she was younger, probably just after her mom died. She thought her ballet career was over and she was just destroyed about it because that was her connection to her mom's world and she thought that that was gone. She was out of commission for a year before she was able to dance again, Korrin was so proud of her when she did.

After Vax's injury, I think they all get extremely cautious, maybe too much so, about getting hurt. But if it ever were to happen, Vax would be their biggest supporter. He knows how much he relied on all of them after his injury and he wouldn't have gotten through it without them.

OK, hear me out... - a Witcher corvid!AU

Corvids aka the crow family are super intelligent birds with complex social behaviors and they TOTALLY fit with the witcher characters.

here is Jaskier as a Jay. Each of his outfits are represented by a subspecies of the jay bird + birb jaskier doodles.

the deep blue outfit in episode two could be the unicolored jay

the eurasian jay ou the canada jay for his brown/neutral toned outfit in episode four and later the white throated magpie jay for his party outfit.

his blue outfit in episode five is (of course) the blue jay

and his red outfit, the greyhound jay.... but in red (?)

The Handee Nutcracker: The Snow King

Ah yes, the epic Return of Charles in this AU. I do still remember and do think of him, but I haven't thought how could I implement him XD

This one was a bit hard to make as I haven't drawn or redesign the poor bro in two years T.T

(I do consider him a himbo tbh)

A bit of a fun fact, Charles (or Charlie) actually featured in my Hello Sisterhood fanfic as Riley's future crush that later will become her best friend (as the two better worked as friends) So I am keeping the friend aspect of their relationship in the Nutcracker AU

As I mentioned in the Queen Angel thread, he is happily married to Angel herself. He rules over the land of snow (or the Frostbite kingdom.) He is quite jolly and has the energy of a golden retriever. He often helps Angel take care of her plants and love designing patters for ice

His design was a bit hard as I wanted to keep the elegant and royalty look the others have, but also avoid the whole Genderbend Elsa or Jack Frost, so I tried to give him a more relaxed type of outfit and a cool cape inspired by winter, with some ice-looking jewels

I think Charlie would be like the fun Uncle to Scout and the friend who adores helping people as he is very connected to many citizens of the Fantasy world, and was generous to give Riley a sled and a magical coat to her Rosco after taking care of him while he got lost

He also has a library that looks...frozen in time (bad pun and joke, i know), so this is like the sorta thing Riley could use to learn more about the fantasy world and find some clues about the roots of the darkness affecting the kingdom

He also has a magical staff that helps him unleash his winter-like powers, which he often uses to make snowmen or snowflakes for the kiddos as he is fond of kids and likes to make people smile. He is greatly afraid of Mortimer, but is nice enough and does invite him to balls. Mortimer refuses due to his paranoia and knowing his presence won't be too welcoming for the people, which does make Charlie a tad sad as he doesn't like people feeling left out. So, he was one of the people who came right away and support Riley in her idea to integrate Mortimer

Most likely, what inspired Owen to create him was some fond memory of Amy trying to catch snowflakes and a bit of her extroverted and sweet personality. I do think he placed something of her in the fantasy he created, as it was meant to be a coping mechanism after her death

so yeah, I created this AU (with the help of @thelovearesick) where Jamie is a ballet dancer and Mako is a famous musician who plays the cello, the latter is invited to be part of the orchestra for "The Nutcracker", where Jamie performs as the Rat King.

Nutcracker and the Seven Heartthrobs-3

Summary: Spending Christmas Eve in the middle of a snowy forest wasn't exactly how I wanted to spend my day. I thought my night would consist of fuzzy reindeer blankets, hot chocolate with the large marshmallows and silly hallmark movies. Not flower kings, snowflake dancers or sugar plum fairies. How can I be the one to save the realms when I don't even know where I am? Or how my deceased mother is even connected? Let alone know how I feel about the seven boys who can't help but make my heart flutter. 

To be honest, it was shocking that I hadn't caught frostbite. Even though I wasn't shivering or turning blue, it was still chilly, and the longer I chased after the nonexistent Taehyung who somehow disappeared into thin air, the more I contemplated the fact that this was real. That somehow I had gotten sucked into a world where mouse kings were real, and people could just appear at will. But what seemed to be my biggest priority was finding the end of the seemingly never-ending forest.

Thankfully, I had soon reached a frozen lake, a metal bridge connecting the white forest to...another forest, with no snow. I groaned in irritation, even though a change of scenery would be gladly appreciated, Id prefer not to jump from forests to forests. I approached the bridge, focused on the dreary looking trees, the orange sun shimmering between the fraying branches. Walking towards the entrance, I couldn't help but chuckle at the small attempt of a gate in front of me. A metal pole laid horizontally at ankle length, I gently kicked it, the pressure immediately spreading throughout my whole foot after the impact. I grunted in pain grabbing my foot and hopping around like an idiot, then falling back on my butt. How could something so minuscule be so freaking painful? I didn't even kick it that hard. Getting up from the snow and dusting myself off, babying my foot, my eyes diverted to a tall metal box-or not the box, but the person inside. The boy in the box looked young, around my age but definitely younger then Taehyung. He had bright red hair that was parted slightly to the left, snowflakes dangling off the end of the red strands. Pale skin with thin layers of frost covering his cheekbones.

 "Are you, alive?" I spoke aloud, mostly to myself, poking his soft cheeks, giggling at how it retracted like a water balloon. My eyes then traveled down to his red uniform, small yellow garlands hanging from his chest, gold embroidery traveling down the shoulders and through the chest. He looked almost like, a nutcracker? Suddenly his eyes were popping open, deep, earthy brown irises glistening at me. I jumped back at the sudden action, placing a hand over my chest to calm my heartbeat. "Name and business please, miss."  His tone had a youthful cheer to it, but also a strange politeness that made me raise an eyebrow? "Excuse me? If anything I should be asking you where I am." He tilted his head at me and strangely the only thing I could compare it with was a confused puppy. "You're in the fourth realm, excuse me." He took a step out of the box into the sunlight, the frost from his face melting, leaving nothing but perfectly clear skin. I forced my brain to stay focused as to not get distracted by the beautiful boy in front of me. "First off my names not excuse me, it's (Y/N) (L/N), and second off what do you mean realm?" His brown orbs widened and before I knew it he was on one knee in the snow, head facing the ground before looking up at me in awe. "Princess (Y/N), we thought you'd never come." He stood up immediately gently taking my hands into his somewhat cold ones. "Wait, princess? I'm sorry, but who are you?" He gasped slightly, pulling at his uniform as if to fix it before nodding his head eyes downcast. "Nutcracker soldier, Jungkook, at your service princess."  I decided to play along with the strange procedures of the dream, hoping it would all make sense eventually. "Um....okay? Thank you, I guess? Anyways, do you think you could help me find Taehyung, he's stolen a bracelet of mine." Jungkook immediately flushed at my words, checks turning a similar shade as his hair. "That's Tae for you, always getting into trouble." He shook his head then turned his attention to me, smiling with his front teeth eyes scrunching into crescents. Cute. "Tae should be just within father gingers forest." He mumbled something under his breath next, which I couldn't decipher and instead of pressing him I decided to ignore it. As well as, not questioning who father ginger was, knowing I would probably meet him sooner or later. "You may want to stand back for this, princess." He motioned towards the bridge and that's when I took notice of the stupid small metal bar, hooked at ankle height. Jungkook seemed so focused on the tiny bar that I couldn't help but laugh at his cuteness. Especially when he started to stretch his arms and do his own mini warmup. "Is that real-" I started to chuckle only to be cut off as he accidentally tore it off with his bare hands. "Wha-how did you?" My mouth hung open in shock as I was left a stuttering mess. I wasn't that weak, was I? "I guess I'm not quite used to my gift, haven't used it in a while." He mumbled, an embarrassed smile on his features. Gift? 

"We better get going to the kingdom. She'll be so excited to see you! Oh, and you'll get to meet Yoongi Hyung and Jhope-ssi." I furrowed my brows at him, "wait, wait! We need to get my bracelet back from Taehyung first!" Jungkook frowned at me shaking his head slightly. "But princess, if something happened to you on my watch I don't know what Id do." His puppy eyes didn't help the argument and I had to force myself to look away. "Well, aren't you a soldier." Jungkook smiled, puffing his chest out in pride. "If I'm a princess and you're a soldier then technically don't you have to do what I say?" I cocked an eyebrow, crossing my arms confidently knowing I had won the argument. "Only if its an order. Is it an order?" He asked stepping closer so he was just within arms reach. I smirked reaching for his hand and pulling him across the bridge, "yep, let's go soldier boy!"

Nutcracker au

Some sketches for a nutcracker retelling. The Idea is that Nutcracker is a part of the norm and that they are assigned to a person to protect (Mostly royal/wealthy people.) Clair was adopted by a nice man and she was raised by him for about 19 years. She has no memory of her past before she was taken by her new father, except for a small key that was around her neck when she was found. Till one day her adopted father falls ill and confesses that she had most likely had been born to a wealthy or Nobel. For the key around her neck is to activate a Nutcracker (In order for a nutcracker to stay operating they have to be wound up by a key from a compartment that is on their backs. Now she sets off to solve the mystery of where she came from with her new companion as they both try and get answers

While listening to holiday music while wrapping gifts and drawing gifts (for online friends). This suddenly popped in my mind.  For those who don’t know the story of the Nutcracker it’s basically about a girl who is gifted on Christmas Eve a nutcracker. Eventually the girl dreams that her nutcracker is a prince and they have to fight against the Mouse King with seven heads to gain back the lost land (that was own by the prince). With the help of @webby-dings (which we also thought of the Grinch AU xD) say that Elena was gifted with Nutcracker for her first Christmas Eve by Scrooge (once turning good). Of course Elena wasn’t please by the gift and Scrooge just told her ‘Looks can misleading.’ Thus would start the adventure for Elena. I dunno just a silly idea for the holidays
