When Shiba was in college, his end goal was actually to become a teacher himself! He’s always been fond of kids (especially ones with high amounts of energy!) and some of his clearest memories is of spending extra time at school so that he wouldn’t have to be at home. He wanted to be that for other people. He wanted children to look up to him and feel inspired by him, to help them feel safe and at home the way that he was.

Of course, that’s impossible now, and Shiba wouldn’t go back to college if you asked him. When the time came to start working on his dream, Shiba found that it was beyond him. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t retain or focus enough on the material to do well enough to succeed. He’d always thought that if it was something he really wanted, he’d just... be able to put the pieces together. 

But he couldn’t. And it took him a long time to understand that there’s just some things others can do that he can’t. That there were times when he would have to work harder than anyone else to do things that should come easy. It was a hard lesson to swallow. He still has trouble reconciling it.

Acting, however!! Shiba is much more confident with that. He spent his whole career as a host pretending to be the perfect man that any woman could fall in love with. It became second-nature to him to put on a facade of charm to the point that it’s nearly impossible for him to take it off. 

His mask is nearly permenantly glued onto his face. If he’s not the most charismatic and impressive person in the room, he feels challenged and might plot some way to get the spotlight on him. It’s not something that he realizes he does, though.

Shiba just has a very persistent feeling that if he isn’t at his best at all times, then he’ll be losing at... something. His paycheck having hinged on being the best in a popularity contest has had some lingering effects on how Shiba interacts with people, at least.

Runcible Spoon - A Simlish Font

Happy New Year everyone! 🥂 I have a new Simlish font to share. Previews, details and download below.

Runcible Spoon is a serif font designed for display and copy. It comes in uppercase and lowercase, plus numbers, lots of symbols and three alternative ligatures (more about that below). I wanted to design something a little rustic and a little whimsical, but still clean.

Alternative Glyphs --------------------------------------------------------------

Runcible Spoon has three alternative glyphs for these combinations (you can see the examples just above): rq, rg, rp

You can use these alternative glyphs with: | = rq, \ = rg, / = rp

I kerned this one until I could kern no more; it's not perfect, but it's pretty damn good. Manual kerning is always recommended if possible. :)

Attribution is appreciated, and I’d love to see your projects if you use it! Please do not use for commercial purposes or redistribute the font itself.

hi! i just picked up the rg project (for the second time, i started a new save) and i was wondering if how you get golem? is it catchable somewhere or does it evolve from graveller?

Hey! All of the trade evolutions were changed to just regular level evolutions. I don’t remember the level I set Graveller to evolve but it’s in the txt file that came with the game folder if you’re curious and want to check ;)

CEO Dream is a camboy, he wears a mask and does it for stress release; merger company CEO Hob is one of Dream's best clients.

For a number of reasons, CEO Dream Endless needs to relax. He's been running the family business since he got out of school. It's not the original path he wanted to take (even doing his art doesn’t really relax him anymore), but he's good at it and the business is doing well.

When he was in school, Dream might have relaxed by being a camboy. He developed a strong following and a number of high-spending clients. He was always masked and at best people who watched his feed saw his raven tattoo (but since CEOs aren't naked in board rooms, no one sees the tattoo anymore). But he was free to follow directions and show off and get off for his internet "friends". He had one regular, RG, who gave the best "instructions".

When he agreed to take over running the family business, he shuttered his website and just stopped responding to chats and emails. There are times he misses it and RG. But it's been years.

Still, Dream is so stressed right now. The company is merging with the Gadling organization. The merger is a good thing, but he wants to change the organizational structure and continue working with Gadling Org CEO Robert Gadling, Jr, Hob. It is nerve-wracking. Dream has never had to share governing responsibilities, but Hob has good ideas for where to take the company that shouldn't be lost. Hob is so smart and fun. But Dream's getting so much push back from the family.

He just needs to RELAX.

Again, it's been years, but Dream just can't not - he'll reopens his cam site,,,,just for him; just this once. There is no way that any of his regulars (RG) would still be around. Besides he's older now, not the same twink he was when he first did it.

When the notification popped up that Raven was livestreaming. Hob couldn't believe it. That beautiful boy dropped of the face of the earth a few years ago. Hob was devastated when it happened. One minute Hob was spending every bit of money and free time he had glued to his computer watching a sex demon angel perform his every wish, the next nothing.

Hob kept up his "RG" moniker and subscription notification for the site active on the hoped chance that his beauty came back. So the notification was a welcome surprise, but it's been years.

What could the reactivation from the site even mean.........

Oh, god! Raven was older, but still so beautiful. Hob was again in so much trouble.

Oh, so SPICY.

For a while, everything is normal for Dream and Hob. The merger is running smoothly, they're working well together and troubleshooting the issues that crop up quite easily. And for Raven and RG, things are going well too. Raven keeps streaming intermittently and he's THRILLED to see RG pop up and message him every time. No one seems to mind that Raven isn't quite so skinny and wide eyed as he used to be. In fact he gets more compliments that ever.

And perhaps the two words would never have collided. But then, Hob and Dream find themselves together, working very late. There's a big deadline for a project coming up and a few complications have come up, so they've decided to work into the early hours and just get the issues solved.

Until Dream upends a pot of cold coffee down the front of his shirt. Sleep deprivation be like that. He has no choice but to take the shirt off, and it's soaked into his undershirt too so that has to go... and he doesn't notice that Hob is staring until its too late. The raven tattoo on the left side of his ribcage is fully on show.

Hob clearly recognises it. His eyes are so wide it's almost comical. Dream feels his face during deep, deep crimson and he starts sweating hard. He never, ever imagined that this would happen.

"If it makes it any better, I'm very much a long term fan." Hob whispers. "You probably wouldn't recognise it but my screen name is RG."

Oddly enough, that makes it a lot better. Suddenly Dream isn't thinking of jumping out of the window into the street below. All he can think about is everything he's ever done for RG - all the time he's edged himself and begged for relief, all the times he's fucked himself on dildos and watched RG say the prettiest little thing I've ever seen, such a sweetheart, aren't you a good boy for me? In the chat.

Hmm. Maybe the project can wait until a more reasonable hour of the day. Because the truth is, Dream can see the bulge in the front of Hob’s nice work slacks, and he's not going to think about anything else until it's inside him.

Thinking about your posts where you said people at Gigi’s school don’t particularly like Matty. Could we get a blurb of maybe RG and Matty or just Matty showing up at the school to pick up Gigi and a parent or school staff member confronts him? Maybe he gets to defend himself or even Gigi does?

matty is at the school gates with his hands in his pockets. it's chilly, and matty is tired. he is always tired. work is long and there's always people wanting things, wanting him, his words, his time, his thoughts. all he wants right now, is to watch his little girl's face light up when she sees him at the school gates, is to hold her hand as they walk home to you, is to hear about her art project or her circle time or her sums she's finding hard.

there is a group of women next to him, one in yoga pants, one in a pant suit with a skirt, one with those huge nike trainers on women are wearing these days. matty, despite his bank account, gets on more with the ones who rock up in trackies, like he is wearing now, dads who spend their evenings at the pub, mum's who work two jobs trying to get by. today he is too tired to talk to anyone. anyone except gigi, anyway, and you (you've already got the kettle on ready for his return.)

the woman are looking at him, he can feel it. he's got his eyes trained on the doors, where no children have emerged yet, still five minutes to go. one of the woman laughs. they turn to him then turn back to the group. they're all turned inwards, towards each other. one of them is kayleigh's mum. kayleigh who tells gigi she can't play with her. kayleigh who told gigi her halloween costume was stupid. kayleigh who got paint all over the table and told everyone it was gigi. gigi takes it better than him. she shrugs and says kayleigh is mean, and that she doesnt want to be friends with her, and that the teacher always knows that gigi is a good girl and wouldnt do what kayleigh blames her for. gigi says that kayleigh doesnt understand her halloween costume cos she still likes baby stuff. and matty, since he can't drop kick a six year old, has learnt to just do a half smile at kayleigh's mum, breathe and let it go.

except today he is in a bad mood and they are talking about him. he can hear it. he has heard the word "band" and "tour" and he has heard someone say "missing school" which he assumes is about gigi, because she spends some time on the road with him. he has no doubts that if he didnt bring her out to tour, then these women would complain too, about leaving her behind. there is no winning. he is a bad father. because of his career. because of everything they know about his past. everyone knows about his past.

he's trying to breathe and let it go. he's trying to pretend like he can't hear. he should move. the kids will be here soon. gigi will be here. except then he hears the words, "never here," and something inside him snaps.

"i'm here now, aren't i?" he barks at them. he tries so hard. and he misses his daughter with his whole heart when he is not with her, and do they not think, if he could, he would spend more time with her? they all look round in faux surprise, as if they are completely innocent.

"oh don't do that," matty says, "i have ears."

they all look at each other and shrug, frowning, except kayleigh's mum, who stares him out.

"we're just discussing parenting styles. that's all. and yours is... different," she says, still staring at him.

"i'd rather be on tour a few times a year, than have my daughter raised to think that it's okay to talk shit about people in the playground," he shrugs.

"can you not swear please?" one of the other mums says, "we're in a school."

"the kids aren't out yet?" matty says, gesturing at the playground, where only adults stand, "or are you deluded about that too, the same way you're deluded about the fact you were definitely talking shit about me a few seconds ago."

the door opens and kids pour out, running at parents, gigi in the doorway but not quite here yet.

"they're here now," kayleigh's mum says.

"your powers of observation astound me," he says, just as gigi cries out "daddy!" and runs at his legs.

"hi baby," he says to her, putting a big hand on her head where he neat little plaits you tied for her this morning have come loose and are wild and fraying. she looks between you and the other mums, sensing something is wrong, when kayleigh appears, thrusting something glittery into her mum's arms saying "look what i made mummy."

"oh wow that's beautiful darling," her mum says, crouching down to her to zip up her coat that is open. kayleigh starts fussing. whining.

"you ready babygirl?" matty asks, and gigi nods, putting her hand in his, as kayleigh dissolves into a full on tantrum, screaming with a red face on the floor, as the whole playground turns to her.

"kayleigh's crying," gigi says, plainly, as if it isn't obvious to everyone in the playground, or in a one mile radius.

"hmm," matty says.

"she's just getting her coat done up," gigi says, staring too, stopped.

"come on, love," he says, nudging her arm, "don't stare. it's not nice to be rude, is it?"

"no," gigi agrees.

matty starts to walk away, gigi trotting along beside him, not staring, but he does throw back one look at kayleigh's mum, who catches his eye. he waves, doing his little half smile, turning away and smirking.

Even if you view buddie from a platonic lens, Buck is still Christopher's father figure. Putting aside the fact that he is literally going to be Chris' guardian if something happens to Eddie, there are a lot of other hints/parallels in the show indicating their parent child relationship.

Like how Chris ran to Buck when he was upset with Eddie, similar to when Harry ran to Bobby (his stepfather) when he was upset with Michael (his real father).

How Buck is probably listed in the Diaz's emergency contact because he was the first person Chris called during Eddie's breakdown. Not anyone from their family, but Buck.

Buck was also helping Chris cook for his school project and was pretty much parenting him when he told him they cannot just have dessert for dinner. This shows that he's not just the fun uncle or Dad's friend to Chris. He is the bad cop sometimes too.

The entire parallel of Buck being Bobby's sous chef and Chris becoming Buck's. It also makes you think why they focus so much on Eddie being bad at cooking and Buck learning cooking from his father figure and teaching what he learned to Eddie's son.

In season 7, Eddie will go to Buck of all people for dating advice to his son. Not to Hen, Bobby or Chimney, who are in successful relationships and are also like family to Eddie. Even RG said that both Buck and Eddie are terrible at dating so why does Eddie ask Buck for help? It's because while Eddie is very close to everyone in the 118, Chris is the closest to Buck. Eddie trusts Buck for Chris enough to give him dating advice, something that is a very parent thing to do.

So even if you see Buck and Eddie as just good friends, no one can deny that Buck is like a second parent to Chris at this point.
