The Imitation Game (2014)

The Imitation Game has some early real-life war footage shown with a minor flickering effect to show that it's being shown on an old projector. One scene of warfare has some explosions at night. One of the final scenes involves a fire, which may create somewhat of a flickering effect.

All of the camera work in this film is either stationary or very smooth.

Flashing Lights: 3/10. Motion Sickness: 0/10.

TRIGGER WARNING: Institutional homophobia is depicted. One person faces cruel and unusual punishment just for being gay. The epilogue reveals that one historical figure eventually died by suicide.

August: Osage County is a 2013 film directed by John Wells, based on Tracy Letts' Pulitzer Prize-winning play August: Osage County.

Violet Weston is an elderly woman who lives in Osage County, Oklahoma with her husband Beverly. Harsh and corrosive, the woman suffers from a tumor in her mouth: nevertheless her husband remained by her side.

Steve immediately tries to become close to Jean, discovering that she uses illegal substances such as marijuana.

Following this, Karen has an argument not with Steve but with Barbara, accusing her of being insensitive and cynical, who, in tears, returns to Florida with the man, aware that her relationship with Steve, who in those days she had continued to magnify everyone, it would not be his last mistake; the following morning Jean also abandons her mother to leave for Colorado, with Bill.

Ivy therefore leaves her mother's house, deciding to stay with "Little" Charles since, due to a previous hysterectomy, she could not have children to whom she could possibly pass on hereditary defects.

The direction is by John Wells, while George Clooney, Jean Doumanian, Harvey Weinstein, Steve Traxler, Grant Heslov produce the film, which was distributed by The Weinstein Company.

Renée Zellweger and Andrea Riseborough were considered, but Riseborough was forced to withdraw due to prior commitments, and was replaced by Juliette Lewis.

Chloë Grace Moretz auditioned for the role of Jean Fordham, but the part was given to Abigail Breslin.

Filming occurred in Bartlesville and Pawhuska, Oklahoma and Los Angeles between October 16 and December 8, 2012.

In Italian cinemas, however, it was distributed starting from 30 January 2014.

Halloween (2007)

Halloween has a few short scenes of moderate to strong strobe lights on police cars at night.

The camera shakes and moves in otherwise disorienting ways during scenes of violence.

Flashing Lights: 6/10. Motion Sickness: 6/10.

TRIGGER WARNING: A child expresses suicidal thoughts, and another character dies off-screen by audible suicide. The opening of this film shows domestic verbal abuse which includes homophobia, transphobia, and threats of violence. There is violence toward animals, which is never shown, but mutilated animal bodies are shown. One person convulses as a result of head trauma. Three teenage characters are shown nude, all played by adult actresses. Multiple scenes feature “slut-shaming.” According to the IMDb Parents’ Guide page, the extended cut includes a long rape scene.

In 2013, Weinstein pleaded guilty to running a $200 million real estate Ponzi scheme. In 2012 and 2013, while he was out on bail for that Ponzi scheme, he did another financial scam involving “purported sales of pre-IPO Facebook shares and Florida real estate”; he pleaded guilty to that one in 2014. He was sentenced to a total of 24 years in prison for all of this, but in January 2021 President Donald Trump commuted his sentence and let him out of prison. I don’t know why Trump let him out, but possibly he admired Weinstein’s moxie and sense of humor and wanted to see what else he’d get up to.

That faith in him was richly rewarded yesterday, when Weinstein was charged by the US Securities and Exchange Commission and federal prosecutors in New Jersey with doing a new Ponzi scheme in the two years since he left prison. Pre-IPO Facebook shares were very much the current thing in 2012, before Facebook went public, but in 2021 through 2023 the things were apparently:

» “Similarly, in or around early August 2022, WEINSTEIN (posing as Mike Konig) asked CC-1 and CC-2 to raise money to finance the purchase of approximately 29 shipping containers of baby formula from [alleged co-conspirator Alaa Mohamed] HATTAB’s company, Hattab Global, in order to capitalize on supply chain issues which had created a shortage in baby formula (the ‘Formula deal’).”

Just pick a thing in the news, and he was allegedly pretending to supply it. Of course prosecutors say he was not actually doing any of these things and was instead stealing the money

Will Chris’ “psychotic” fans be held responsible for the end of the shitshow?

Recently an article regarding Abba’s near ”abduction” story resurfaced, or I should say was reposted. It seemed pretty random of course. But was it? Because you see, this story hints at an original trauma that she might have suffered as a kid. If you combine this (real or fictitious) traumatic experience with the narrative that Chris’ fans are psychos who really can’t stand to see him in a relationship, well then you have created the perfect storm for their separation. Will that excuse be used to explain their divorce which couldn’t come soon enough by the way? 

So many breadcrumbs pointing to Abba being scared… 

The narrative that Chris’ fans are crazy and don’t want to see him with anyone has been going on for years. His brother Scott alluded to it not so long ago during an interview. Yvette Nicole Brown tweeted about it as well, in a very over-the-top and unhinged way just after Chris and Abba made it official with their first papwalk. So there have been many crumbs pointing to his fans’ problematic behavior being the cause for concerns. And indeed, there have already been several articles pointing to Abba being scared for her safety. Here are a couple of examples.

Recently, that excuse has been used to explain why Abba couldn’t attend an event for Warrior Nun.

We all know of her extraordinary professionalism. She has promoted the show so much so that we can only imagine how terrified and heartbroken she must have felt to turn down this event. (read sarcasm) And it probably explains why she refused to talk to the media at the GQ event. You see she was not being rude and a diva, she was just being shy and afraid…

Also remember during Chris and Abba’s last papwalk when they allegedly had dinner with Rob Pattinson, Suki, Adrien Brody and Harvey Weinstein’s former wife, they were escorted by Guillermo who is Chris’ bodyguard. Sure it was meant to sell that they are a very famous and popular couple but maybe it served another purpose. Maybe it was meant to sell the narrative that she is terrified of Chris’ fans and needs the protection of a bodyguard. So the question remains: will they be blamed for their divorce?

The ending of this shitshow isn’t likely to happen soon…

Crumbs and hints are in place but that doesn’t mean the end of the shitshow is near. In fact, I would be very surprised if he doesn’t mention his “wife” during his next con at Seattle on March 2nd. Indeed this con is overseen by the same company that did C2E2 and NYCC last year, and let’s remember the NY con was used to confirm the 2 kinda of ceremonies and to show off his ill-fitting ring. We can suspect this company is one of their sponsors, just like the jewelry brand or airline company. But I am just speculating. 

It’s safe to assume there will be similar shenanigans in Seattle anyway. Will she actually be there? It’s a real possibility. Especially, since the Oscars’ ceremony is on March 10th. Like for the Golden Globes, it’s a time when celebrities try to be seen. And it will be one of their last occasions to make a splash for a while and have their names in every publication since Chris is supposed to start shooting a new movie in March as well. Unless we get pap pics of them on his movie set. They haven’t done it yet and it would be another box to check off in their PR games.  

The manufactured psychotic fans…

For sure there are some crazy fans out there. But I have little doubt as well that most of his crazy fans act this way on purpose because there are plants on the payroll. Even recently, we have seen a ridiculous fake drama around Dodger. An account even published an old picture of Dodger at Daycare. So this mod either hacked into the security cameras of the dog daycare center 6 years ago. Or by some off chance, a crazy stalker fan who worked at that center leaked that pic and sent it to that mod? I should probably specify that this account also got the exclusive (and very believable) story that Renner and Hemsworth told two strangers that they were in Boston for Chris’ wedding. Obviously the most logical explanation is that this blog was fed real info (and that pic) by his team or is working directly for his team. But officially they will pass as crazy fans who crossed the line… And this narrative has proved quite useful in the past.

Playing the victim card is unlikely to get them any sympathy… 

I personally think that this strategy won’t benefit either of them. 

Particularly Abba. First of all, people are unlikely to believe she needs protection because nobody knows her in the first place. We all remember that ridiculous cringe moment at the Ghosted premiere where a paid actor pretended to be her fan and screamed her name. Also and I don’t mean any disrespect but she is not only unknown to the public but she is also totally unremarkable. She is so unremarkable in fact that when that influencer got the video of them at Walt Disney (the video where you can hear the influencer say at the end: “got it”) she had a pic of Abba’s back tattoo on her screen to make sure she recognized her. 

As for Chris, blaming his fans for the end of this shitshow is unlikely to gain him any sympathy either. We have seen so many fan pages disappear, so many fans leave. He has alienated so many loyal fans and a part of the general public with this relationship that isn’t on brand for him. It wouldn’t be wise to alienate the fans that have stuck around. 

Also playing the victim card is just not as popular as it once was. First of all, most normal people have troubles feeling sorry for out of touch celebrities. And why should they? They live in the real world and have real problems. Like having to hold on to their low-paying job, to take care of their kids or to put food on the table. Look at Harry and Meghan. Most people can’t stand them anymore. So Chris’ team would be wise to look for another exit strategy. They have time…

Knowing what we now know about Justin Bieber's experiences in the beginnings of his musical "career", and knowing that Scooter is credited with discovering him, my question is this: Did Scooter know what P Diddy was doing to Justin, when he was 15 years old?

When people wonder why I have such a STRONG opinion about Scooter Braun, it is because he is connected to some very dark energies and people in the music business, here in the US.

To think that Jungkook spent any time around him makes me cringe.

The whole system in K-Pop is set up to disempower the artists and to empower their management and labels. When a creep like Scooter is given so much power in that system, it can lead to some really yucky stuff, for the artists. And for the management (who get entangled in the web that people like Scooter weave, to control them), it can be a really difficult situation to remove themselves from. If you know anything about the P Diddy stuff, or the Harvey Weinstein stuff, then you know what I am referring to.

People like Justin and even Brittany Spears are prime examples. They enter the music/entertainment industry as young teens, with no ability to discern or understand what they are presented with. Especially when that dark side of the industry is so well hidden (except when it isn't). It is so freaking sad, what they went through then and what they continue to go through, post-trauma as adults.

This is why I feel as I do regarding BTS or any other K-Pop artist who steps into the music industry here in the US, and gets tangled up with the likes of Scooter and others. I cringe.

Again as I have said in a recent blog post, I am really glad that the guys (Bangtan) are sequestered away in the military (with the exception of Jin's discharge next week!). Especially Jungkook. He had BIG stars in his eyes and such a deep desire and drive to succeed here in the West, last year. I honestly don't think that he really knows just how dark things are, in the industry. Most people here in the States don't know, so I would not expect people in other countries to know, either. Once you know and see, you cannot forget or unsee.

Sometimes I think about what the guys could do after they are discharged, that could free them from the entanglement. As long as they continue to sign the dotted-line of contracts with HYBE, they will be entangled.

Sometimes I think they forget that they have the right to determine their own fate, as Individual Human Beings.... As Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Kim Namjoon, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, and Jeon Jungkook.... It is certainly not something that is fully encouraged by their management (BTS the cash cow), and honestly it isn't encouraged by the fandom, either. There is so much PRESSURE on them to be BTS, to live and breath for BTS, and to live and breathe for ARMY.

Who knows what the coming years will bring for them. My hope is that they will navigate with their eyes wide open, and with full knowledge and understanding of the results (on all levels) of doing business with the likes of Scooter and those like him. I hope that they always have protection from those who would pull them into a very dark place that would be hard to escape from. I hope that they will be able to manage themselves at company parties, where booze and drugs can lead to some really horrific experiences. I hope that they never ever have to go through what Justin has gone through, or any of the others that have spoken out about the terrible things that go on behind closed doors in the industry.

Yeah. I hope and pray literally every day, for their protection on all levels.

So this little ramble turned into a big one. Sorry not sorry. I know too much at this point in my life's journey to not feel like I do. I just wish I could wave a wand and put protection around BTS, as well as every other innocent artist that steps into the industry. No one deserves what some have gone through. No one.

With this I'll end. As they say, take what works, and leave what doesn't. This is all just a ramble of words that flow from my mind and heart. I simply want a better industry and overall a better world. And, I want those I love to be protected, at all costs.

In order for things to change, the Light has to Shine upon the darkness. Awareness is that Light.

Did you know that Space Goofs would've had its own Movie Adaptation titled after its own Video Game Adaptation made by the Same Company behind their Adaptation of "The Magic Roundabout" that Xilam would've partner up with but unfortunately thanks to The Weinstein Company that butchered their Very First Film (which bombed), the Company went bankrupt which caused the Death of Xilam's Very First Film Adaptation based on one of their Cartoons?

No? Well, I've wanted to Adapt The Cancelled Movie into my AU of Space Goofs (presumably of what would've been by its own plot which was the Huge Inspiration to My Character, Star) but I've also added in the Girl Character from the Trailer of what could've add been the Main Human Friend whose not an Enemy to the Aliens that would help protect them from the Human World in order for them to get Back Home (Animated Equivalent to "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" I suppose?🤷‍♀️

dunno, but maybe I think it would've been a lot more equal to "Lilo and Stitch" due its Comedy but I could at least imagine Xilam trying out their own "Emotional" scenes if their Would-Be-Partner Company didn't go bankrupt, which happens a lot in every other movie that you usually see in terms of Story Complex).

I've wanted to bring the Cancelled Movie back from the Dead seeing on how that everyone else is used into bringing Scrapped Concepts back to Life with some Fanon Ideas and oh boy, do I sure love to bring Fanon Ideas into My AUs!

So here we have is The Girl (who is named "Ambre" in my AU, that's the Name that Me and @djinarocks up calling) and her own Group of Friends who serve as the Earth Kid Counterparts to The Main Protagonists Themselves. Yes, I'm pulling out the Whole "Counterpart of Opposites" trope (which I know can be cliche but it's really fun, especially when it comes to Children vs. Adults).

Ambre's personality (despite that I changed her design just a little from the Movie) is pretty much the same as the Cancelled Movie's Concept, a Girl who loves Sci-Fi, Very Snarky but Friendly Attitude. As for the Kids, they have their own personalities in terms of their own contrast towards their own Alien Counterparts.

Lukas "Kai" Caddell is Very Laid-Back, Cool, and Lazy but can be Sarcastic and Mischievous when he wants to be but still acts like a Nice Kid. Very highly into a Lot of Boy Stuff (especially Superheroes).

Tyson B. Adakai is Very Tidy who works hard but acts as if he's the Very Compassionate and Fun-Loving one out of the Group, but despite his Antics, he can sometimes be the one who perhaps learns on how to Balance Anyone out of the Group as he's Well Empathic. When he is not called "Tyson", he can either be called by his own Two Nicknames; "Tyler" or "Ty".

Jayda "Jade" Nicholson is a Smooth Talking and Calm Girl whose into Fashion Stuff. Very Sophisticated and Moral with some Smart Suggestions through a Confident Personality, Jade is always there willing to be by their Friend's side as she is always Helpful of Others (through both Strength and Words), but be careful of her Anger, especially when her Little Brother is around annoying her all the time.

Matthew "Mathias" Gardner is the Most Highly Intelligent Kid and the Brains of the Group. Very Smart but can be a Little Bit Shy towards Others, he's the Very Nerdy Kid of the Group but can act scared (especially if it's Germs) whenever something horrifying gets on his Nerves but can act Very Peaceful as the Voice of Reason in the Group whenever he needs to be.

Tony Khan and certain people within AEW knew, and nobody thought to speak up. Instead they remained quiet. I'm disgusted.

Lets also not forget that AEW hired Will Ospreay after blackballing a wrestler who accused his friend of sexual misconduct.

AEW seems to be a hive of sex pests and enables said sex pests and I shouldn't fucking be surprised that Jerhico got away with it. AEW's priorities are never with their female talent, employees or friends. It's just a fucking boys club where they always get protected and the women are treated like shit.

Another major AEW event overshadowed by self-induced in-house drama.

Very true. Personally, I feel directors should have more say in the vision of their films then producers. But Harvey was a megalomaniac who thought everything revolved around him. It's unfortunate that his company had the lock on so much of the indie/awards bait sector of the industry from the '90s through the mid-2000s.
