I know it sounds like platitudes when I say #that everyone was super nice and talented but REALLY. People were so kind to me and somehow I became well known despite #my art and writing and me in general still being immature and hashtag cringe #I found my creative legs and #people would respond to my stuff with walls and walls of support in the tags and we would do exchanges and events every year #I made my first lyric comic and it’s still doing extremely well on YouTube even today!! my dad who passed away recently always loved it #and my favorite RvB writer came out of hibernation to write me a bunch of text wall asks about it #I’ve never had another fandom experience quite like RvB #I still keep in touch with many of my friends from that time period even though we’ve all moved on the other things #these guys will always always have a place in my heart #so long reds and blues….

S2 of White Collar annoys me a little, because the very first episode tees up the plot of both Mozzie and Peter looking out for Neal while he processes his grief and deals with the traumatic death of his girlfriend literally right in front of him, and it does it so fucking beautifully.

Mozzie joking about new nicknames until one makes Neal laugh, breaking him from what Mozzie recognized instantly as a negative thought spiral, and then keeping him engaged by helping him work the case despite Mozzie's constant protests of helping the suits?

Peter meeting up with Mozzie to discuss that Neal's clearly having flashbacks and panic attacks, and basically agreeing to cover up for any "messes" they might get into while investigating Kate's death because he knows that Neal needs to be looking into it on his own terms?

And then only a little really comes from it. Mozzie does call Peter in e9 to warn him that Neal has a gun, but there just isn't the pay off of them looking out for Neal emotionally like was set up in that first episode, especially because the bloody fucking break down that Neal was having basically through the entirety of e9 got skimmed over for the sake of a mid-season finale with the plot twist of Mozzie getting shot and then we pick up with a new Supreme Bad Guy in e10, leaving the whole Fowler plot behind.
