ELEMENTAL Projections

So apparently ELEMENTAL is on track to flop-a-doo this coming June, huh?

Recent projections made by Box Office Pro have it opening at $28m minimum, $38m maximum. They note that the picture has the chance to have those usual Pixar summer legs and break the 2020s Disney theatrical animation bad streak at the box office, and make it to around $155m domestic, which would be a fantastic total for a post-outbreak original animated movie. COCO, back in early 2018, finished up with around $209m domestically. $200m is usually an easy threshold for Pixar. Only one picture in the 21st century that wasn't a sequel missed it, that was THE GOOD DINOSAUR, which still made over $120m domestically. ONWARD I do not count, because that was cut off one week in by the pandemic.

Box Office Pro has a history of lowballing animated movies on their opening weekends, though. They also had THE SUPER MARIO BROS. MOVIE pegged for a roughly $65-90m opening, when the thing cruised well past $140m+ for the three-day alone... I knew it would top $100m easily, and I'm no box office pro... I've only made predictions for fun for about a decade, many of which concerning animated movies, haha.

They also weirdly note that the picture, being a romantic comedy, will have a hard time appealing to young boys... Okay, are young boys the ones with the money buying tickets? You know, Walt Disney had once said in an interview with the BBC in 1959:

"Well, no, you have to appeal to the adult, or... Well, the adults have money, the children don't have any money."

Interestingly, Walt had kind of cracked it when it came to making movies by that point in time. As he saw it, anyways. He had theorized that appealing to "mom" was the way to go, the target to hit. Because mom takes dad and the kids, the whole family, to check out the movie... And mom tells her friends... So on, so forth... Maybe it's not young boys that Disney should be appealing to. Remember when they tried very hard to appeal to that demographic in the late 2000s? Making major changes in animation because of that? Nearly jettisoning fairy tale stories for good and messing with movie titles for fear of boys finding them to be too girly? (I still dislike "TANGLED" as a title, to be completely honest.) I guess the romances of classic Disney animated movies were a hard sell, huh? Because boys under the age of 13 might not like them?

I'm not trying to knock the good people at BOP, by the way. I frequently enjoy their podcast and analyses, but sometimes I think they can be a little off with animated movie, and because there's a lot of internet dogpiling on this one Pixar picture that no one except the film crew has even *seen* yet... I just wanted to weigh in.

As BOP noted, and many others have noted as well, ELEMENTAL has a big uphill battle to face in the form of the Disney+ problem. We all know what that is... A lot of people, especially those who are tight on money and have to narrow their moviegoing choices every calendar year, might've been conditioned to just wait for these family movies to come to Disney+. No need to spend $100 at the multiplex on tickets, snacks, and of course take a gamble on whether the experience in a theater will be good or not... It's right there, at home, in a few months, and we got all the snacks without having to spend a mortgage on!

I've stated on here many times before that I work at a movie theater, and a major chain movie theater at that. A Cinemark. Been there for almost 8 years, and I feel I get the first-hand idea of what audiences want to see as opposed to very-online "experts" on twitter and elsewhere.

And it seems like people are digging ELEMENTAL. "Ah cool, a water and fire people movie! Looks cute!" Most of my co-workers think it looks like it's worth watching. I've seen some customers walk up to the posters and say "Is this INSIDE OUT 2?" "Hah, looks like Sharkboy and Lava Girl."

A lot of people online are writing ELEMENTAL off as generic-looking, but that might be... In a weird sense, its secret weapon.

Familiarity sometimes works for movies, and sometimes it doesn't. LIGHTYEAR, I'd argue, had trouble having some kind of longevity at the box office because of how much it deviated from what people associate with TOY STORY and the titular character. Of course, if you're me, and you knew full well what that movie was going to be (read: an actual sci-fi space adventure where Buzz is actually a space ranger, not a toy), that wasn't much of an issue. Some just genuinely didn't like the execution of it. It rung more INTERSTELLAR and '70s sci-fi movies than anything, Buzz was a little more serious here, he wasn't his toy counterpart at all nor was he the fun cartoon hero in the 2000s TV series BUZZ LIGHTYEAR OF STAR COMMAND. I get that. I myself quite enjoyed the movie, but I can totally see it how it just wouldn't gel with most audiences.

TURNING RED, I feel, would've done okay at best at the box office, not because of its perceived quality (I loved the movie), but because of - again - most audiences being very careful with their money. I keep thinking it would've made around BAD GUYS/ENCANTO numbers, $90m domestic and around $200m worldwide. Not enough to cover the usual Pixar budget... Which is typically a gargantuan $150m+... I feel they, and Walt Disney Animation Studios for that matter, shouldn't spend so damn much on their movies... It puts an unnecessary strain on them, gives them a sometimes impossible task to achieve. It soooo ain't 2003 anymore, when any CG animated movie you dropped in front of an audience was 99.99% guaranteed to make a blockbuster amount of money...

ELEMENTAL also shares June with... ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE, TRANSFORMERS LIVE-ACTION MOVIE #7, THE FLASH, RUBY GILLMAN *comma* TEENAGE KRAKEN, and INDIANA JONES 5... Wowee... And a good chunk of those movies weren't supposed to open in June 2023 in the first place, they all just ended up landing there. Pixar usually locks mid-June for a movie years in advance, and the movie could be anything, be it ELEMENTAL or TOY STORY 5. It just so happened to be ELEMENTAL... Maybe they should've moved it, just to be safe...

So, opening weekend could make or break it... But the legs will be the most important thing... And we don't know what those will be like... We have to know first and foremost, come opening day... Did audiences like it?

LIGHTYEAR got a not-so-hot A- CinemaScore, and had abysmal legs thereafter... STRANGE WORLD from WDAS was the rare family friendly animated movie release to score less than an A...

It's hard to gauge off of two animated sci-fi action movies, which have a history of... Not making blockbuster totals meant to cover ludicrously high budgets... Just ask TITAN A.E., ATLANTIS: THE LOST EMPIRE, and TREASURE PLANET. WALL-E was a sci-fi romance movie with cute robots, and that did very well. Also had that Pixar goodwill that was very strong back then. The name's not a guarantee anymore.

How do I think ELEMENTAL will do?

Animated movies that aren't sequels are usually kind of hard to track, and they seem like they'll do okay-ish at first... Until the week of release, the tracking shoots up... And word-of-mouth kicks in after opening day...

So, $28m for ELEMENTAL could very well be looking like $40m minimum within a week of its release... Opening at Cannes this coming week, if the picture is acclaimed, will look nice too. I don't see why it can't open below $40m, the only thing that could hurt it is just SPIDER-VERSE and LITTLE MERMAID being out, and families having to make tough choices. Adults w/o families will be the ones to get, if they're not as choosy. The romantic comedy angle might just make it a date movie.

Not the first time that happened... That's what Disney took total advantage of during the Disney Renaissance in the early '90s, pushing BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and ALADDIN as date movies for young adults... Oh, and it paid off nicely... A lot of people tend to overlook this, but... It's *adults* who make animated movies huge, too. Not just "kids dragging their parents" to the cinema. If that were the case, every kids' movie would be a FROZEN or MINIONS-sized blockbuster. No! Those movies make so much because a lot of adults like them, too, and there's stuff in them that appeals to adults. A novel concept, I know!

A movie like THE BAD GUYS didn't need to worry about that, being a much lower budget endeavor, ditto DC LEAGUE OF SUPER-PETS. Even Illumination's movies don't have to worry about that, either... But Disney Animation and Pixar? They gotta hook everybody if they want to make back the $150m+ they spend on each and every movie. LIGHTYEAR seemed to turn families away and had a hard time getting adults, STRANGE WORLD seemed to appeal to no one. ENCANTO dealt with Delta and Omicron, RAYA was still a bit too early to be a theatrical release. SOUL, LUCA, TURNING RED, all straight to Disney+ releases.

It's like each new Disney animated movie release is some kind of test... ELEMENTAL is next line, and WISH will follow... And do I think ELEMENTAL can get that adult appeal?

I think so. ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE already has it built in (projections are saying $85m minimum for the opening weekend, which sounds about right, could go even higher), but does anything else coming out in June other than INDIANA JONES have it? I think audiences are largely burnt out on the Autobots, THE FLASH comes on like some big NO WAY HOME-esque event for DC but I sense a real "who cares?" aura around it, plus superhero fatigue seems to have kicked in... That's about it? RUBY GILLMAN seems muted and quiet, it probably doesn't need to make a blockbuster gross... It's very possible ELEMENTAL is the most appealing June release to... Normal people.

Online, it looks like some crap generic Pixar movie... But normal people? Who aren't there for TRANSFORMERS 7 and a DC movie that happens to have Michael Keaton Batman in it? They might be digging it. For what it's worth, when I caught the trailer in theaters before GUARDIANS VOL. 3, I heard some of the adults in the crowd laugh at the funny bits.

It's kind of a wild card, but I have kind of a good feeling about this one. Maybe... Or, come late summer, I'll be eating crow on here. I'm sure Disney Co and Pixar don't want it to fail. Especially since the smarter of the two Bob CEOs came back, the very Bob who wants to focus much more on theatrical releases than sending massive-budget movies quickly to Disney+.

So, rough prediction. Around $40-45m on opening weekend, very solid legs, over 3.5x multiplier, $140m minimum domestically and double that overseas, $400m+ worldwide finish. We shall see...

putting my answers below the cut, because this got long eheh

as for sunflower, i can do ten more things about my home! i did one sunflower here as well :)

-> my neighbour can look directly into my living room and coincidentally also directly onto my tv (which i was lucky enough to figure out while watching the first season of bridgerton–) -> i have a stack of 6? portable, external hard drives, all filled with cr2 files (canon raw files), as well as one external hard drive with raw files from the sony camera i used during my internship – all of them on my desk in my bedroom -> there's a burn mark on the side of my bookshelf from where i like maybe made a minor explosion (controlled, i'm not an idiot) a few years back -> in the top drawer on my desk, i have a small box, with things that belonged to a family member that was very dear to me; it's been siting there for closer to ten years now, and i have never opened it -> my cats don't necessarily like the climbing towers and stuff from pet stores, so i've built furniture for them from scratch -> i'm a sports nerd and on the largest wall in my hallway, i have six jerseys, all manchester united, hanging side by side, all signed -> i have the cinema-promo posters for star wars: the last jedi and avengers: endgame but they're currently rolled up and stored away because i don't know where to hang them -> i have a collection of beer cans with cool etiquettes, and want to make something decorative out of them in the future -> in my room, i have a bass guitar, an acoustic guitar, and a ukulele -> i have a super comfortable bed, but i barely sleep in it

as for amsterdam, what's there to tell? just joking, i'll tell you all you wanna know about my whim of a photography project trip to the netherlands 😇

basically i was planning on going to gibraltar, spend something close to a month there, get to talk to people and find something interesting and make a photography project out of it. then for some reason i decided "no don't wanna do gibraltar after all" and i ordered tickets to amsterdam on sunday around midnight, night to monday, with take off tuesday. and now i'm here, and i'm doing a project about life on the canals, and it's pretty cool! between being assumed that i'm a stripper, becoming a second-hand weed smoker, and being offered drugs on the street, this city is brilliant

(i'm joking, amsterdam's not really a place where you get handed dope on the street, i was just in a sketchy neighbourhood)

Okay one more ask then I'll leave you alone lol (unless you don't mind talking german stuff) Are there any particular places or sights you'd recommend to someone visiting? Like something they really shouldn't miss out on while in Germany?

I love talking about German stuff! Keep in mind that I haven’t been to Berlin since before the pandemic, so not sure if all my recs are up-to-date, but these were my favorite places when I lived there:

Teufelsberg is one of my fav places on earth! It’s an old listening station from the Cold War built on top of a giant hill of WWII rubble covered in greenery/forest that’s basically been turned into a shrine to graffiti (which btw is everywhere in Berlin, the street art scene is incredible there) and it’s a fun hike to get to the top

Hamburger Bahnhof is a very cool contemporary art museum with a bunch of weird installation art, also one of my fav places

All the museums on Museum Island are great, and the Berliner Dom is there too if you want to go up to the top for a view of the city

Brandenburger Tor is a great landmark to see, and if you go at the right time there are cool events around it (I went to a projection art festival there and it was amazing)

The Holocaust memorial is very powerful, as is Topographie des Terrors, which is an incredible indoor/outdoor museum that I would highly recommend

For shopping, the Mauerpark flea market has great stuff and is huge (would recommend learning enough German to haggle!)

If you like contemporary theater, Schaubühne is great, and the opera and ballet companies are very good if that’s more your thing— tickets can be cheap depending on where/when you get them and if you can get a student or senior discount

Not sure how the nightclub and bar scenes are rn but I would recommend trying to find a local source for those if you’re into that! The “big ones” generally aren’t worth the cover price (and if you’re American you can’t even get into some of them on principle lol), so try to find some hole-in-the-wall types if you can

I don’t have any specific restaurant recommendations (except maybe the rotating restaurant at the top of the Fernsehturm if you want to be a fancy tourist), but make SURE you get some Currywurst (there’s even a fun museum around the food) and some Döner! Berlin has a lot of great Turkish food and some fantastic Vietnamese as well. If you want classic “German” food, go somewhere that says they serve southern German food (from Bayern aka Bavaria)

There are also a lot of awesome parks in Berlin if you want to hang out and look at dogs or kites or stuff like that, it’s a super green city! Tiergarten, Treptower Park and Tempelhofer Feld are all great, and the Botanischer Garten/museum is lovely (I went there a lot since I lived close by)

And finally, if you’re anywhere in Germany around Christmas, go to a Christmas/winter market! Beautiful (often handmade) things to buy and so much delicious food, I miss those a lot

These are all just from my experience being there! If you want a really robust tourist experience I recommend looking at one of Rick Steve’s guidebooks :)

Can we just be honest and say that she truly hasn’t had a highly interesting, fun, creative, or exciting tour since like 1989? Or are we still pretending that the Rep Tour was good and that 40+ songs every night isn’t gonna burn her out of touring permanently by the end of the Eras tour?

I looooooooove to be a hater and complain on main so let's go there! honestly I do not remember rep tour super well....but maybe that sort of speaks for itself. rep tour's biggest thing going for it in my memory is that it made me like so much more of that album than I did before I stepped foot into the stadium. so major win there for ms swift.

I do think 1989 was the last time she really got creative in terms of how the songs were arranged (IKYWT and WANEGBT are the standouts from that tour, but we can't forget about Love Story and the Wildest Dreams/Enchanted mashup) which is one of the aspects of her tours I look forward to the most. And when you literally have a tour called THE ERAS TOUR with the express intention of honouring your career and work so far.....how do you not capitalize on your extremely large and diverse body of work and get creative with it. I made a setlist (an actually realistic one, not just 3 hrs of songs I personally wanted her to sing) just for fun and not to toot my own horn but the mashups I thought of (and I even wrote and recorded 3 of them just to prove a point) were kind of genius (and I did all of that in the span of a couple hours in one evening. this is Taylor's actual job). why is marjorie on that setlist. why is she only performing enchanted off of speak now. why did she cut the only song from her debut album the second night (jail!). WHY IS SHE PERFORMING THE DAMN 10 MIN VERSION OF ALL TOO WELL. I do not understand this woman!!!!!!!!!!

I'm also thinking (like you mentioned) about burnout and fatigue. It's not that I think it's impossible to sing/perform for 3h15m straight a couple days in a row and then have a few days off to recover, but like.....she is not a theatre performer who is accustomed to stuff like this. does she have the vocal technique and training to pull it off? we will see. I hope so! (also side note yes she should ABSOLUTELY be taking singing lessons if she's not already, absolutely anyone and everyone who sings professionally should be doing this and on an extremely consistent basis)

I do absolutely love the costumes for this tour though, and I like the visuals projected both onto the large screen at the back of the stage and the floor. There's some really cool moments (the dive comes to mind) and really great choreography (Vigilante Shit). The stage is not quite as intricate as (i.e. no real set pieces in comparison to) previous tours, but I think that has to do with the extreme scale of her tour. easier to have more elaborate moving pieces and detail when you're not in a stadium. idk. I watched most of the show via livestream Friday night and while I had a good time my takeaways were 1) this show is too damn long (for such a largely uninspired and at times straight up bad setlist) and 2) this doesn't make me want to spend hundreds of dollars for a ticket, go all the way into new jersey, and then go all the way back into the city after. so no fomo for this gal! only way you'll catch me at metlife is if I get a ticket for like less than $100. i'm spending my disposable income on theatre and broadway this summer because I'm moving to new york in may! wheeee

Mr. Piggy

Howdy!

Pretty brief one this week. You may've seen that Feb 1 was Hourly Comics Day. This is an annual event where people make a comic every hour. Lots of them are super short--a panel or two--and often biographical. I participated and what I've wrought can only be described as Mr. Piggy.

Apologies to Alec "Mr. Boop" Robbins, Jim Henson, and Lizzo. Know that the recommended soundtrack is a canned laugh track repeating at a regular interval that cannot distinguish from the comedy and the drama.

If anyone has a good recommendation for a therapist in the San Diego area that takes Anthem, my inbox is open! I know hard it can be to be kind to yourself, to treat yourself well, to do things you need to to not have bad brain days and find balance in your emotions when things are, genuinely, very bad in the world. But it's worth it to try.

P.S. A funny little work story from this week. I was emailing with a creator who works under a pseudonym, and they mentioned that in reference to how their paperwork would have a different name. I'm looking at it and I'm like "Whoa, no wonder. It must be really hard being named Wells Fargo." I was, of course, looking at their bank information and am dumb.

Lyskari's Monday.com Tutorial: The Bare Basics for Personal Use

Hello, and welcome to my first Monday Tutorial where I cover the super bare basics of Monday (Monday.com) for personal use. I've not written tutorials in a while so forgive me if these first few are rough! Monday.com is a robust website that boasts a wide range of applications professionally (task management, project management, IT ticket management, and more). However, I found that it works wonderfully well for my personal life. I utilise it for two things: 1. Non-Routine To-Do's (e.g. "Get new car battery") 2. Resource Collection (admittedly I'm bad at updating this one) Though you can definitely utilise it for whatever you need! And if high levels of customisability and flexibility is up your alley, then I encourage you to give Monday a shot! Alright, Lyskari, this is sounding too good, but what's the catch? There are definitely still improvements that could be made, just like with anything. As much as I love Monday, it's built for corporate or team usage. Though they've created a free plan, it's not nearly as robust as the paid plans. I hope they can provide a bit more for the free plans in the future, but at the moment free plans lack some things that make Monday as great as it is, such as automations and integrations. If you have the money to shell out for the cheapest plan, I do recommend it, but only after you really look to determine if it's prudent. I recommend you look at the plan breakdowns first to ensure it offers the bare minimum of what you need. If automations are key for you then I'd encourage a free program that has automations. It's a small thing but the way Monday names individual aspects of the program are incredibly beginner friendly. Subsequently, this is also one of smaller gripes I have with Asana. Monday likes to define things in ways that feel very logical, which can help when dealing with the overall learning curve. Additionally, I will only be explaining this as it pertains to personal use. If you'd like a professional breakdown, leave me a note! This section alone made this ungodly amounts of long so if the above visual helps you enough to understand, cool! Don't worry about definitions unless you really want a little more insight into any of the mentioned "containers" above! Let's get started!

Important Links: Monday's Article About Workspaces

Workspaces are the largest "container" type that Monday provides. Think of it as a house. There are a lot of different individual rooms inside, but they all belong to the one house. Should I use workspaces as a single individual? It's up to you and how you work! If having multiple houses works for you, then by all means! However, if you are like me and you struggle to remember checking in on the other workspaces... then consider utilising only one. Any other suggestions? If you wish to utilise Monday with another member of the house, another option available is having one workspace per individual... and potentially a "teamwork" workspace. However, it's possible to utilise a single workspace for multiple people as well. Talk it over with whoever you wish to use Monday with, and see what works best for both of you! Anything else? Folder's become the next container. If workspaces are the house, think of folders and sub-folders as the rooms within the house. Folders help organise the boards within a single workspace, with sub-folders helping break things down a little bit more if necessary. Colour Coding Perhaps one of my favourite features about the folders & sub-folders is the ability to colour them. As someone who is very colour-code dependent to work longer at higher efficiencies, the ability to colour folders & sub-folders was a godsend. (I was around prior to this addition, and I can tell you the difference has been night and day!)

So if you're really big into colour-coding things, this will be up your alley!

Additionally, you can utilise emojis in the folder and sub-folders name which can be useful when having to organise multiple boards. (I only use two boards for my personal life, but if you need more than this is potentially a great way to help keep yourself from getting overwhelmed!)

Boards are where the magic truly happens for Monday, and also why I love their choice of terminology. Unlike Asana who call their boards, "Projects", Monday utilised a more straightforward and accurate term.

If workspaces are a house, and folders & sub-folders are individual rooms, then boards are points of interest in that room such as TV & Entertainment, the Bookshelf, or the Walk-In Closet. These are where things happen, be it collection of data, tracking to-do's, and more.

Additionally, each board has multiple ways to view the data on that board. Even the main board itself is a view -- it's called the "Main Table".

These views can include: • Kanban views (similar to Asana's "Board" view) • Additional table views (similar to Asana's "List" view) • Form view (which effectively turns your board into a fillable form) • Chart view • and More!

If you'd like me to go into the different view types, let me know! I'd be happy to write a view-specific tutorial. (And I honestly still may but I will also adjust what tutorials I write next based on interest.) Boards can be named whatever you desire, and yes, emojis are allowed! They come with a description area, as well, which can be utilised in whatever fashion works best for you. Colour Coding Legends, Icon Keys, a reminder of how the board is supposed to work, and more. You decide! Think of something you'd love to be able to track... or keep an eye on in some manner... and see what Monday has that works to bring that idea to life!

❖ Groups

Important Links: Monday's Article on Groups If a workspace is a home, folders & sub-folders are rooms, and boards are points of interest in that room... then groups are how those points of interest are organised. Think of it as the drawer or closet organiser, where you have specific areas for specific items, such as under garments or tshirts. (Okokok yes using this analogy for a supposed to be neurodivergent-friendly tutorial was dumb but it's all I had ok? Don't come at me. 😅)

Groups are categories that you create within a board. You can have one, you can have two, you can have fifty though I would not recommend that unless you can truly keep up with it!

Let's say you have a group of to-do's you'd like to work on. You may have groups for "Unstarted" "In Process" and "Completed", as a way to organise out your tasks.

Let me guess, it's customisable too? I see you're picking up on the recurring theme! Yup! You can: • Change the Group Name (also emoji friendly!) • Change the Group colour • Easily drag and drop groups in whatever order you prefer! And this brings us to our final "container"!

❖ Items & Columns

Important Links: Monday's Article on Column Basics * Takes a deep breath. * If workspaces are homes, folders & sub-folders are individual rooms, boards are points of interest in a room, and groups are how those points of interest are organised, then items are the individual items within the organised points of interest... like socks! Meanwhile columns are like the details of the sock. Who does it belong to? Jane. What colour is it? Purple with white polka dots. (Please tell me if these metaphors are working, or aren't!) It gets better. Monday allows you to change the terminology of "item" so it can accurately fit what your board is working with. Instead of "item" you can have "tickets", "questions", "Doodlepoodles", or whatever else you desire. You also will not be locked in to the name you select. If you name your board items "dogs" and later realise you also have cats, you can update terminology to "animals". So you can "add animal" to the board. It's such a tiny thing, but having accurate terminology really does help my neurodiverse brain. A lot. So I hope it helps yours! That said, for the sake of this tutorial series I will refer to it as "tasks". (Mostly because for some reason I swapped from "item" to "task" during this tutorial and I don't know why... and finding and siwtching them all out sounds like a lot of effort... when I already put so much effort into writing this so... forgive me, that one.) Tasks populate beneath groups, and will likely be one of the first tutorials I make where I hone in one a single aspect and explain it in hopefully neurodivergent-friendly detail (but Harley this is already so long-- yeah yeah I know... tutorials have that tendency ok? I'm trying here. 😅) When adding tasks to a group, you can name the task whatever works best for you. Unfortunately, tasks seem lackluster when looked at on their own so let me tell you about columns as well. Columns populate to the right of your task name, and they collect different points and types of data which include but are not limited to: • Statuses • Labels • Numbers • Short Text • Long Text • Dates • Dropdown (Multiple Choice) • Priority • Aaaaaaand more! Columns names are customisable, but perhaps my favourite feature of columns is the ability to add a description to that column. When you add a description to a column it will cause an (i) to appear next to the column name. When hovered over, the (i) will pop-up with the description, which makes it a great way to remember how you planned to utilise a column if you're like me... and forget... a lot!

In closing, here are some recommendations if this tutorial encourages you to give Monday a try:

Consider experiencing the learning curve first. For some, experiencing a learning curve while attempting to setup a system leads to frustration, and potential rage quitting. If this is you, consider treating it like a sandbox first, and not a construction project! .

Consider minimising maintenance needs. It is not uncommon for some neurodivergents [myself included] to build systems that require constant updates. This often leads to rage-quitting later on. The less you have to regularly maintain for individual tasks, the less overwhelming systems can be. Remember you want the system to work for you, you shouldn't be working for the system. .

Systems may take multiple forms before you find the one that works best for you. Don't be afraid to tweak or completely change your systems until you have ironed out as many wrinkles as possible. As you learn and gain Monday mastery, you will begin to notice ways you can improve systems... or make new, better systems. This is normal, no matter if it's Monday, Asana, or even pen and paper. Needing adjustments or updates doesn't mean a system is bad, it just means you have learned new information and you wish to utilise it by creating a better system... or tweaking the current one!

this bar is a ghost, and it looks like you

I was at this venue in St Paul almost 6 years ago to the date. I have been to this bar many times. And for some reason, of all the venues I've been to after 8 years of doing this, this one I see the most vividly of any of them. I didn't know it until I walked inside today for the first time in 4 years and felt like I was in a resin-preserved fossil. While not one facet of my life is the same outside, not a thing had changed inside, and I still see it all. I walked in and saw the bar that will offer half price, still terribly overpriced, meatball subs in a few hours. The bar M**** sat at hammering down drink after drink (Yueinglings), so he wouldn't have to drive. The way laughter erupted out of O***'s body when he realized what was going on. The small stage and the tables and chairs to the left, which years later I would run around secretly collecting every member of every band's drink tickets, only to get absolutely wasted on vodka cranberries - freshly 21, this was the only drink I could name to order at a bar - to lead Greg down a dirt path on a farm in the middle of nowhere as I made a horrible drunken attempt to direct us to a McDonald's, failed, and jumped out of a moving van to pee on some giant field of corn right outside the city. I look at the stage inside and see the hearts that fans held up because The Guitarist went on a twitter rant about how no one appreciates his band. I see the fans screaming in the front row. I see Kendall Schmit from Big Time Rush playing one of his solo songs, everyone's favorite of the tour, "We keep dancing but the rain don't come, rain don't come" as I watch from the merch table. I see the girl C**** and M**** fought over, whose name was Celine, one of the prettiest people I've ever seen in my life. Both of them newly single and too chicken shit to actually make a genuine move and us following her around the whole night, drunkenly laughing from the streets outside the venue to a Target - she educates us on 'Super Targets' in Minnesota as well as what the hell a La Croix is because it's only 2016 and we don't know, to the hotel parking lot where I structure each of them to have a shot at inviting her to their respective hotel rooms and they both fail miserably. The bathroom, the perfect sweet spot of grungy and aesthetically, beautifully white-hexagon-tiled that H*** and I had a photoshoot in, where I was inspired to start a now-abandoned project of photographing the bathroom graffiti in every venue I work a show in. The before and after of the shoot we did, the first time I looked at a before and after of mine and thought, "damn, I'm good at this". H*** freaking out over how good the images looked, my tweets of them being my first to hit a hundred likes. The drive we'd do from here all the way back to New York the following day; the absurd songs we wrote to pass the time that I wish I remembered, everyone saying the word "irrigation" in a midwest accent over and over and over again, the very first time I had a bang in my chest over how much I liked the Guitarist all those years ago. Sitting next to him in a Starbucks at a rest stop at midnight as he offered me a coffee and then got up and laid on the floor, exchanging locked eyes and laughter 2 years before anything between us would ever happen. Even more memories than I could’ve conjured up on my own as I walk into the backstage area and can see M**** sitting on the table by the orange couch and screaming as he realized he ate a raw onion and now his breath was going to smell bad so he couldn’t chase some girl. C**** and The Guitarist doing bottle flips in the narrow, graffitied hallway that leads here. Kendall Schmitt From Big Time Rush laughing at them as I filmed it, my insides bursting at how cool it is that that’s a true sentence. Getting high before the show with him and The Guitarist, studying the autographs on the walls and the guitar string vending machine to see who else had played here.

Every inch of this venue is haunted. With the person I once was. The friendships I once had. The life I could've had had it all been different. Or maybe had just one thing been different. Had that 'oh he's hot' never developed into a fully formed crush on one of the nights I was inside this place. The exhilaration of the memories I had here may have never died. I may know a thousand more wasted escapades across the country. These people may have never realized they never actually cared about me, and I might have never figured it out, either. The feeling, the pure adrenaline rush, of being someplace you don't know with the first friend group you've ever in your 20 years of life been a part of. The sweet taste of doing what you love as the background music to it all.

It is easy to block out the clean and lovely parts of this time of my life in favor of the stains. In favor of the nasty, "you never cared about me", "I never truly had a single fun time with you" and "that was an undercurrent of every moment we shared" brand of lies that get bandaged over the reality because it hurts less. And I know, in the back of my mind, that those things are not true. Nuance and circumstance and, yes, a bunch of assholes who lacked compassion or remorse, and me, myself, and I burned it all down. I broke away from something that grew to be horrible. But it grew to be horrible. It wasn't born that way. I set an old and decrepit building on fire. But it was once a mansion.

That doesn't go down quite so easy.

I'm not scared of ghosts, but I'm scared of the things that they remind me.

May 23 - Okayama, Kojima Jean District (Media)

Today, I made a solo trip to the Kojima Jeans District in Okayama! I did this as a suggestion provided by my friend, who wanted some good quality denim from this place. I woke up almost late but I made it to the station on time. However, I do not like asking people for help so I was heavily struggling to use my ticket at the station for the bullet train. I then found out minutes before when the train was to depart, that all I needed to do was scan the code into the gate and be let through. I ran all the way to the train and got there right at 11:02, when it was to depart! It was so scary as I really could have lost out on about $160. Anyway, I made it to Okayama and had to take a local line to Kojima. I proceeded to ride on this really noisy line, to the point where my watch told me that the sound level exceeded 90 decibels. I was also on the phone with my friend the entire time, so I was kept company for a while. Upon arrival, I saw jeans hanging up outside of the station! It was so cool to see that. Also, Kojima itself is a pretty old city, a lot of the buildings of shops were still wood. There were also a lot of people surprised to see me, you can imagine why. I saw some middle school kids quite literally say: “外国人だね？黒い人だ！” if you can paint the picture, as they stared right at me. Anyway, I walked a while from the station to find the Jeans street. It was behind a neighborhood that I walked through for a minute to find, and it turned out to be more magnificent than I could have ever imagined. There was just a line of shops selling denim, and pretty expensive denim as well! The average was over 30,000 yen! However, my friend was definitely determined to spend a pretty penny as he wanted these jeans for a while. He did inspire me to do my media project on this area as well! We ended up finding this particular shop that he wanted to buy stuff at, which was called Dania jeans. The store owner made different types of outfits and accessories and stuff—it featured a lot of patchwork, or “Bolo/Boro”! It was so interesting to see the work of this man. The total my friend spent at this store was around 27,200 yen, coming to about $174 USD. Honestly, the stuff that he bought was so cool! The shorts he bought were 180000, and he bought himself and me a whale pouch made of denim for 4200 yen each! It was totally awesome. I then went back to Kyoto and just rested when I got home.

Media Reflection

The way this relates to Japanese media is the way Japan embraced the art of making denim following the conclusion of World War II. Due to the occupation of the United States forces, blue jeans and denim were introduced to Japan! As a result, they began with creating high quality denim. Since American culture was something that teens and adolescents really enjoyed in Japan, the denim aspect was wildly popular. There were several brands that popped up reflecting their images and perception of the west including Edwin, Betty Smith, John Bull, and others. I have seen various magazines, promotional material, and more before exploring Kojima. In addition, my friend had seen it all over the internet since he is really into high fashion and its history. While visiting the Dania store, I noticed magazines featuring the owner/president, Osamu Kanemitsu, conducting interviews and shoots with his work! It was super nice to chat with him and buy some of his things. I also read some articles about the history of denim with Japan, as well as found some YouTube videos that explained everything. When finding his store through the media I have seen, I was able to make a direct connection to World War II as there was one denim jacket that came from the U.S. Army back in the 1940s, costing 600,000 yen which is nearly $4000 USD! That was insane. It was mote extensive than I thought it was, and made me view Japanese denim in a very different light because of how interwoven U.S. culture is on Japan and how it presents itself to the world as a country. I am very thankful to my friend for putting me on to this because this was an incredible experience! We are definitely going there together again at some point in the future!

Big books in Spanish that your child will fall in love with, and that will make the learning process a piece of cake Or should I say, un pedazo de pastel?

Start with the Basics: The Spanish Alphabet

Let's go back to the good ol' ABCs, shall we? But wait, in Spanish, we have a couple of special guests like "ñ" and "ll." Learning the alphabet is like learning the building blocks of a castle, and who doesn't want to build a castle?

To make it super engaging, let's turn this into a hands-on project. Get some poster board and markers, and create a colorful alphabet chart with your kiddo. Hang it up in a special place, maybe even their room, so they can proudly see their work every day.

And hey, remember that songs are your best friend. Sing the Spanish alphabet tune when you're driving to school or while doing chores. Before you know it, you’ll have a tiny artist singing the Spanish ABCs while coloring. Now that's what I call killing two birds with one stone: or should I say, matar dos pájaros de un tiro!

Syllable Shenanigans: Breaking Down Words

Alright, you've mastered the letters, so what's next on this fun-filled journey? Syllables. Think of syllables as the glue that holds our beautiful Spanish words together. And the exciting part? Spanish is so neat and tidy; the words often break down into syllables in a very straightforward way with children’s books.

Start with some arts and crafts time. Cut out syllables from magazines or newspapers and make a syllable scrapbook. Let your child glue down syllables next to pictures that represent them. For instance, next to a picture of a dog, they could glue the syllables “pe” and “rro” to form "perro."

And don't underestimate the power of movement. Get your little one to jump or hop from one syllable to the next written on the floor. Imagine how fun it will be for them to hop from "pa" to "pa" and shout "papá". It's exercise and education rolled into one. Now, how cool is that?

Visual Aids: Pictures and Word Associations

Who can resist the charm of vivid, colorful pictures? Visual aids can be a game-changer when it comes to learning. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but in our case, we'll start with just one or two in Spanish.

Then, go home and make a cute little album, writing down the Spanish word next to each photo. As a bonus, this can be a treasured keepsake of your child's learning journey.

I just watched the Phineas birthday clipshow episode. It was interesting? A few of the clips I wasn’t sure where they were from, though. For example, Candace screaming in a different art style, and Heinz being turned inside-out? It’s like there’s a missing episode. I want to see episodes with all the stuff that was referenced but never shown. Like what Phineas and Ferb did the day when Candace was waiting to buy tickets for some band? I forgot the exact episode it was, but it shows Phineas and Ferb having to clean up their own project because Candace didn’t bring Linda to get rid of it. Also, in the episode where they build that huge fort, they shrink it down because of “those pesky zoning laws” which gives an explanation for the times they took down their own creations instead of the stuff getting hit by a Go-Away-Inator or whatever.

Anyways, the episode wasn’t great, but I liked the part where Heinz said something like “whatever, I’m not gonna waste my best stuff on a clipshow!” I thought that was remarkably self aware. Another thing I liked was when Candace was running with the disk and she kept avoiding the things trying to get rid of it. She literally dodges the invisible force like she’s a professional athlete and then.. ends up destroying it herself because it’s Phineas’s birthday! Which is nice.

The one thing I really disliked about that episode, however, was how it implied that that was the first time Candace did something nice for Phineas?? Sure, she’s working against him most of the time, but she’s his sister! She does nice things for him! I would have preferred if the episode had expanded on her original worry: “what do you get the boy who can make anything?” It could have been like that old story where the king invents the bed because his wife already has everything that exists! But instead Candace goes off to steal the disk from Buford. I would have preferred if Candace was given a disk to edit as well, but she didn’t have any good footage, and then she got to go and see Isabella and Baljeet’s, and then finally Buford with the good stuff. Maybe she is tempted to show her mom, but instead she gives the disk to Irving and he puts it into the show for Phineas! And along the way, I wished she had actually intended for that tool she got for him to BE a gift. Phineas is so happy about it, it just would have been sweet if maybe the episode started with him mentioning he wants one, and maybe he explains that it’s illegal to just make one as an explanation for why he didn’t make one yet, and then when Candace accidentally ends up with one she can give it to him as a gift instead of just.. crying and he takes it from her??

Also!! I think the BEST way to end the episode would have been a compilation of all the times Candace and Phineas did things together! It would have been so nice, it could have them singing gitchee gitchee goo and when Candace helped distract Linda for their parents anniversary. Stuff like that! Or maybe even just a compilation of Candace being really cool, showing all her best moments to show how Phineas views his older sister: super cool! Anyways, I just think Candace deserved better than a one off joke, is all… if they really wanted to do the joke about this being the first time for something, they could have had Heinz getting doomed by a puppet for the first time. That way it sets up him making the same joke in the movie! I think it would be cool.

PUTTING THAT ON MY "IK THEY PROBABLY WONT BUT GOD ITD BE SO COOL" WISHLIST FOR THE NEW SEASONS

How they simp ft the Aot boys

This is both Aot universe and Modern universe. I’ll separate them accordingly.

(The charismatic simp): Jean

•Aot verse:

☆ He's gonna become your friend as soon as he realizes he has a crush on you and he'll do everything in his power to stay by your side when that happens.

☆ He'll slide into the first available seat next to you in the mess hall and bring extra bread so that he can slide it onto your plate if you're extra hungry.

☆ If you spend a lot of time in the library he'll find a book similar to whatever he'd seen you reading before. (Of course he has to ask Armin what kind of books would be similar to your current choice.)

☆ And once he knows your favorite genre he'll head to the library late at night and grab a couple from that genre. Bookmarking his favorite pages so he can talk to you about it and you'll think he's super smart. (He's definitely fallen asleep with many books on his lap, chest and head since he started crushing on you.)

☆ If you have a hobby that's more interactive like sewing or flower picking he'll offer to carry your little basket or wear the thing you're currently stitching up so you can work better.

☆ And yes he did get caught wearing flowers in his hair by Eren. But it was because you'd smiled so fondly at him while sticking daisies in his brown hair. Giggling so cutely when they fell out. And he was gonna take that memory to his fucking grave regardless of what titan idiot had to say about it.

☆ And yes he did get caught wearing a skirt that you were fixing for Historia. By both Connie and Levi.

☆ Levi who went pale in the face and looked as though he was secretly praying for his own demise to come soon as he slowly closed the door and walked away.

☆ And Connie who laughed so hard he choked on his own spit and had to be helped to the infirmary because he was now coughing every time he breathed. So Karma ig 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

☆ He just has to touch you..

☆ Oh God he wants to. He's gonna find a way. Whether it's a little shoulder nudge when you're complimented during meetings by higher ups. Or pats on your back.

☆ If you confide in him about your lack of confidence before a mission he's gonna sit with you and talk you through your feelings.

☆ He does this thing where he leans into you when talking. Rests his hand on your lower back as his breath touches your ear. Whispers sweet compliments into your ear because you need that shit.

☆ And it's good enough to make your toes curl.

☆ Guides you by the wrist through thick crowds so you don't get overwhelmed or lost and sometimes you expect it so you reach out for him and the two of you end up holding hands instead.

☆ He's become your little nurse. Like of course he's worried when you get hurt but there's also the opportunity to fix you up. So silver linings 🙄.

☆ If you're allergic to anything he doesn't have it in his first aid kit. Sometimes you'll get like the smallest little bruise on your knee of some shit. And it's not even from training, you just happened to trip while cleaning the stables and now: thumb sized bruise. But he's like "I don't care, sit so I can clean it."

☆ "It could get infected!" He'll try to convince you but like no, no it couldn't come on now it wasn't even really bloody..

☆ If you just so happen to have extra chores he'll go out and bring you some water then offer to help. Or he'll just ask Levi if he can go help you.

☆ "Those boxes could be heavy." He'll tell the Captain. "We don't need anyone getting unnecessarily injured before the next mission." And of course Levi knows what he's doing and sends him to go help because he honestly doesn't wanna listen to this anymore.

☆ If you have back problems or even if you don't he wants to carry your bag. No you don't get a say in it. But you can go ahead and argue with him if you want to.

• "I just think it looks too heavy."

• "Jean, I'm ok I promise."

• "Ok how about this? Let me hold it for a couple minutes then I'll give it right back."

☆ Yeeeaah. You're not getting your shit back. He's gonna walk you all the way to your designated location and then put the bag down where you need to be for that time period. Even if it completely inconveniences him.

☆ And he won't tell you that he had a meeting that he's now over 12 minutes late to. You don't need to know it'd just worry you for no reason.

☆ He has adapted some sort of like sixth sense when it comes to you. Like sometimes he'll wake up in the middle of the night to pee and just so happens to walk past your bedroom door as you're reading a book on the floor or crying or something.

☆ And now he's sitting with you even though his organs are currently failing.

☆ He'll bring you a glass of water or tea or whatever you want. You want food? He'll find it. Want a book? He'll go get it.

☆ Sometimes he sits in bed with you and just lets you cuddle up to him or reads you a book as you lay on his chest listening to the unsteady beats of his heart. Unsteady cause ya know it's you laying on him. And yeah his face is becoming redder by the second but he can't stop staring at your sleeping face. Even if you snore louder than a titan stomping he doesn't give a single fuck.

☆ At some point everyone thinks you two are dating and they talk to you both as if this is the case but you're not! At least not until Jean finally explains that yes, he does have, "Feelings for you." Tells you exactly how long in fact because to him it's crucial.

☆ When he kisses you it's the type of kiss that makes you suck in air. He takes you by the shoulders, slowly looking for even the smallest bit of hesitation in your face and presses his lips to yours. When you pull away you're lightheaded, pupils blown as you look at him with stars in your eyes.

☆ "Oh.. wow." Is all you mutter.

☆ Good luck, you just fed his giant ego.

•Modern verse:

☆ Modern day Jean is more shy and reserved. He'll definitely try to become your friend but he probably has a lot less opportunities to get you alone.

☆ If you both work at the same place you're probably both confined to your own spaces and if you both go to the same school you might have separate classes.

☆ So here's what he's doing: finding anyway, shape or form to invite you out.

☆ He got an extra ticket to a concert. He'll just not tell Connie and invite you to come with him. Because you know.. you deserve a break after work right? There's a new restaurant opening near him? Cool he's already on the phone telling you their entire menu. (He might have memorized it before calling but he won't tell you he's reading off the menu.)

☆ Sometimes he might go to your desk and leave you something sweet or cute. Like candy or little desk ornaments but he's always too shy to write a note that has his name at the bottom so he settles for staying anonymous. His heart immediately grows three sizes when he sees you playing with the desk ornament he left or eating the candy while typing away at the computer.

☆ He'll look out your favorite band so he can find out when they'll come to the city where you guys live and buy the tickets. Maybe he stays up all night, what does it matter sleep is for the weak.

☆ Or he'll find out your favorite restaurant and go there when he knows you might be going so he can just happen to run into you. No obviously it's not creepy. 😑

☆ If he can't seem to connect with you plan b is to pimp out Sasha. He just has to connect with you! So he'll get Sasha to find out any useful information on you and report back or he'll ask Sasha to become close with your best friends.

☆ If not Sasha then Connie 🤷‍♀️

☆ Once he gets useful information that's when he steps in. Oh you have a presentation for school to work on? He's at your door at 10pm with snacks (that he knows you love thanks to Sasha), energy drinks, and information on the topic you're working on.

☆ I'm talking he brought papers full of information in case you need to beef up your slides. He also brought his own laptop so he can search up any information that seems incorrect. He'll listen to you as you talk about your project and give you feedback on your performance.

☆ This might take all night but he can't help his desire to help you. And of course he's not gonna tell you if he has his own homework to work on.

• "You think it's good? Really?" You'll ask as you close your laptop for the night.

• "You're gonna get an A. Especially since I helped so now it's guaranteed."

• He loves the way you snort and roll your eyes at him when he says this.

• "Thanks Jean, you're a life saver."

☆ If you hug him you might also need to help him up off the floor or bandage him up cause he's gonna hurt himself from the shock and excitement.

☆ If you have a work presentation or just in general need help with something you're doing for your boss. He'll dedicate as much time as he has open to helping you with that too.

☆ Need coffee before your presentation? He's running to the nearest shop. Don't really understand the project your boss gave you? He'll work you through it the whole night.

☆ If you happen to tell him on a Friday that something in your house needs fixing all of a sudden he's 'Fix it Jean' now he's telling you he can fix it tomorrow and the second he hangs up he's looking up how to fix a clogged valve or some shit.

☆ And Sasha and Connie are like, "Sir, what made you think you were a handy man??"

☆ He manages though. Brings like three books to your house and looks through all of them simultaneously. Thinks he messed everything up and is about two seconds away from crying on your floor like a toddler with a spilled juice box but he pulls through surprisingly. Has your shit fixed and gets a little kiss on the cheek.

☆ Which leads into him guiltily explaining the truth and telling you everything. From the trinkets to the tickets to now with this thing he nearly ruined in your apartment. But he's so relieved to see you're grateful for everything instead of annoyed like he'd been believing in his head.

☆ Now he gets a real kiss. And Modern day Jean is built different. He's so nervous to touch you like you're made of glass. But when he does he's got his hands on your sides, keeping you in place like you'll run. Your fingers delicately threading through his hair. Giving you the kind of kiss you don't wanna pull away from. You become so quickly attached to the taste of his lips and the subtle beats of hesitation still lingering on him.

☆ You wanna pull his tongue into your mouth. Keep him so close but he pushes you back. "I wanna take you on a date." He mutters with glassy eyes and bright cheeks.

☆ And obviously you say, "Yes."

(The informed simp): Armin

•Aot verse:

☆ As everyone has said a thousand times before. Armin is an informed simp. And within the first week of knowing he has a crush on you he has information on, your family life before you joined the Corp, your favorite food, your favorite color, your favorite flower, your hobbies etc etc.

☆ And every bit of that information is stored in his file cabinet like brain.

☆ When he found out your favorite color he wore it as often as possible in out of uniform situations. Even if it was just accenting the rest of his clothes he found a way to wear it somewhere.

☆ He skimmed through books that had information on attraction and started subtly complimenting you to make you notice him.

• "Hi, [Name] that jacket really brings out your eyes."

• "It's the same jacket everyone's wearing Armin.."

• "Oh.. yeah.."

☆ Sneaks references to things you like into conversation as often as possible. Because you know, right after a meeting is the best time to talk about how your favorite song is tied to the fact that your mom used to sing it to you to help you sleep?? 😃

☆ More power to him.. he's a little confused but he's got the spirit.

☆ He slipped flowers into your favorite books but it didn't really seem to matter because he was never there when you actually encountered the flowers. (But he did often see you talking about the plants with your friends and twirling them between your fingers) good enough.

☆ He found out ways to better help your digestion. You know because what's love if not healthy bowel movements.. cause like every other attempt made him look stupid so he looked through some books on foods to help keep your colon healthy. And he explained it over dinner..

☆ Safe to say the only one who thought this topic was at all interesting was Levi.

☆ He's absolutely bombing and he hates it. At this point you only give him shy little smiles and then just walk away. He knows you probably don't hate him but he hates that nothing is working for him.

☆ At some point Eren's talking to him solo and he explains that he knows about his crush on you. Following it up promptly with, "Why don't you just tell [Name] that everything you were doing wasn't to be weird, at this point coming clean is probably the only way you could still have a chance."

☆ And he hates it that Eren's right. But he marches right up to you when you have chores out in the stables because if he didn't he'd never say all the things rushing around in his brain.

• "Hi Armin." You greet with that smile.. that smile that makes his stomach tense and his heart want to burst.

• He breathes in before replying, "[Name], I.. like you.." You pause where you're getting water for the horses to see his sun kissed red cheeks. "Everything I've done is because I really like you.." He continues, letting out a shaky breath.

☆ A period of far too long goes by with neither of you saying a word and his blue eyes flicker up to you in concern. When you clap your hands together he nearly parts from his skin.

• "Oh! That explains the weird compliments and the stuff about my mom!" You sigh, slapping your head with a smile. "Oh thank God. Armin I like you too."

☆ More silence because 1. He didn't think you'd like him back and 2. Holy shit you like him back!! He's simultaneously having a party in his brain and melting into the floor.

☆ When he finally kisses you it's unsure. Makes you lean into him. Sweet but subtle like gentle breezes on a hot day. His mouth is closed and his arms cautiously wrap around your waist looking for any sign that you want to get out. But you don't. You just wanna keep pecking his cute little lips because he's so cute and everything he's done is so cute.

• "Finally." You guys turn to see Mikasa and Eren.

• "It's about time." Mikasa greets with a little smirk.

☆ And Armin is practically fainting trying desperately to explain that it wasn't what it looked like but his face continues to tell your little audience that yes. Yes it is what it looks like.

•Modern verse:

☆ Modern day Armin is equipped with an advantage.

☆ Fucking social media.

☆ He went to your page and found out your birthday, your family's last name, how many friends you have in real life. Shit if he dug around long enough he could've probably found your heritage portfolio and your social security. (Social media's a little dangerous sometimes..)

☆ So when he becomes your friend and gets your cell number (Another thing he could've probably dug up online.) He sends you things you might love at any and all times of the day. He spends every free second he has, from lunch time to the last hour he has before he really has to go to sleep researching shit you might like so he can send it to you.

☆ And modern day Armin is so sexy in how he manages to get you into a ton of situations featuring him, your cute little blond simp. Modern day Armin needs to write romance anime 😭

☆ He heard you like aquariums not only did he send you a website to get those tickets way cheaper but he also invited himself (telling you that he was already going). And planned to take you around the city to get your favorite food and any other activities where he could drop his extensive knowledge on marine life. Oh you love astronomy? No problem he was just about to go to the planetarium this weekend, you should definitely go along so he can take you to the planet's light show and stare at you instead of the stars.

☆ Oh your favorite movie is coming out? He had no idea.. he just happened to have an extra ticket to see it the day it comes out. Not only is it now free of charge to you for that but he's also already brought a bunch of your favorite snacks to line his backpack with. Even if your favorite snacks are from a different country he got them express shipped so they'd be there sooner.

☆ He also has weather apps on his phone and laptop so that he'll know if the weather changes even the smallest fraction so that he can take you anywhere else if needed.

☆ Yes he definitely has spent a shit ton of money on you but every time he takes you somewhere your face lights up so beautifully that he'd repeatedly slam his credit card on the table to buy you a plane ticket if you even hinted at wanting it.

☆ In this beautiful opposite world you definitely confessed to him. (You better for his pain and suffering.)

☆ He could've jumped for joy knowing his plans worked perfectly but he simply takes a deep breath, eyes full of contentment as he mumbles, "I feel the same way."

☆ When he kisses you it's with his thumbs lightly rubbing the small of your back. Chewing gum spit out only fifteen minutes ago so his breath was still perfectly fresh. Adding just enough tongue to make you arch and gasp into his mouth. And yeah, he read up on how to do that too. And now that you're his, he's gonna need two jobs cause he came to spoil. No you don't get a say in it.

(The interested simp): Eren

•Aot verse:

☆ Yeah I know this one's weird but let me explain. Eren's simping capabilities are so simple they can be so easily described as, interested.

☆ He legit figured out he had a crush on you and then about 15 minutes later he'd found out everything you'd wanna be if you lived to see the end of the war.

☆ It's so obvious he's simping hard, I mean man's was enamored by you talking about your parents workshop back home. 🙄 You know what I don't even think he was actually interested he was probably playing it up but lowkey disassociated

☆ He definitely gets made fun of for it on the daily too but unlike Jean he kinda shrugs it off.

☆ He's not gonna scavenge the earth for information on you. He's gonna let you tell him and he wants you to tell him. Tell him literally everything about yourself and you will cause he'll know if you don't.

☆ Sometimes he plays little games with you to try to figure out some kind of information about you on like a long ride back from a mission or something. It helps him ease the tension in his brain and gives him something new about you. Win-win

☆ He beat the fucking system by just getting you to talk about you and dropping things you both have in common into conversation. He really did better than Armin!

☆ If you have trouble during training he'll talk you through what you're doing wrong and help you work through your issues. If that leads to some touching well then that's just how things will go 🤷‍♀️

☆ The second he has your favorite color in his mind he's buying you a piece of jewelry with the same stone color. Yes this is him marking you as his and no you probably won't realize but the second you put it on in his eyes you belong to him. And now you can never take it off. 😃

☆ He has a little notebook (not for writing journal entries or anything.) It's just sometimes he forgets certain things you tell him and you pretend to pout when he asks for the information again so he writes it down in the notebook so he can read it and remember it again.

☆ There have definitely been instances on more than one occasion where the two of you would stay up all night talking. Sneak into the other person's room. Sitting on the floor together or side by side on the bed. Those are definitely the best nights because you get to show off your Eren trivia and prove you've retained just as much information on him as he has about you.

☆ Another scenario has presented itself in which you're the one who ends up confessing. Eren would come close cheeks flush with pink and whisper, the ghost of his lips on yours, "I think it's kinda obvious how I feel." When he kisses you it's with both hands cupping your cheeks. So hot against your face. Thumbs curving delicately over your skin. He's leaning into your lips over and over again. Recapturing them every time he pulls back but he also loves making you work for it a little, smirking when you have to strech to capture his lips again. Taking every bit of oxygen from your body. You kinda hold onto him with slightly shaky arms when he's finished. But honestly he's only finished for now cause he'll never get enough of your lips now that he's had a taste.

•Modern verse:

☆ Modern day Eren talked to you before he realized he was attracted to you and you haven't gotten rid of him since the day he realized he wanted you.

☆ He sees you walking to your next class or to the copy machine and he trots his way over to match your pace.

☆ When he's not with you, he's texting you nonsensical stuff he thinks you'll find funny. And when he is with you he's listening to every word you say with the dopiest grin adorning his features.

☆ Sometimes when you're talking he'll unsubtly lick his lips to see if he can make your eyes follow his tongue or he'll lean in closer, kinda crowding you a little if you're both standing. Speaking of crowding he pulls you into him by your hips if you just happen to be standing in the way and someone needs to get past you two.

☆ You'll never understand how much harder he falls for you when you look up at him through your pretty lashes. Hands slightly on his chest.

☆ He loves annoying you. Doing little shit like poking you with the eraser on his pencil or snatching your books from you when you're writing while he's talking. Cause he just thinks you should be staring into his eyes while he talks in the same way he does with you.

☆When he brings you dinner he always brings himself something to eat as well and he'll plop down next to you and ask you for details about your day. Smiling fondly at you when you complain about minor inconveniences.

☆ He loves your fingers so much. If he's not staring into your eyes he's looking at the way your thumb drags over your dripping boba/coffee. The way your fingers click perfectly over every key on your laptop. Every now and then he'll reach out for your hands massaging the knuckles because he just wants to touch them so bad. Bonus points if you smile at him while he does it.

☆ Not gonna lie it could definitely go either way with a confession. But it's probably more likely going to be on you unless he just so happens to accidentally confess while sleepy or drunk.

☆ When he kisses you, he cups your chin pulling you close, angling his tongue so it slides right up against your teeth. He softly hums into your mouth and you can tell he's at least a little nervous but his touch is so perfect. His thumb sliding over the edge of your lips as he sucks your tongue into his mouth. You're more than a little ashamed at the whine you let out when he pulls away. But the way he's blushing makes you feel at least a little bit better.

(The Childish simp): Connie

•Aot verse:

☆ Let's be honest, he doesn't know what he's doing. You know, cause you're his first crush.

☆ He's going to work extra hard to drop even the most random jokes and then look directly at you hoping you laugh. Just laugh cause if you don't he might repeat the joke again and that'd be uncomfortable for everyone.

☆ And when you crack a joke he's out here guffawing like it's the best thing he's ever heard. Like he'll legit pause all conversation with his loud ass laughing and everyone in the room is just like: 😒

☆ If he gives you gifts they're normally things he thinks are cool or awesome but every now and then he'll pick a flower and just randomly stuff it in your hair and when you look at him confused smile adorning your face he'll say, "It fits your face." And then awkwardly gesture at you. All you can really say is thank you.

☆ He practically crashes into the seat next to you at meetings. Jean dead ass started pretending to race him for the seat next to you and one time he tipped the chair over and fell on top of it, Levi made him reenter the room properly after he'd managed to stand up.

☆ He sometimes does that I'm not touching you thing to get your attention or taps your shoulder then looks away as you turn to look at him. ☆ He does nice things for you but they never really work out well for him. One time he got you a glass of water because he thought you looked thirsty and he placed it in front of you when you weren't looking. You turned from where you were talking with Historia and your elbow tipped over the cup spilling its contents all over your lap and meeting notes. He felt so so bad.

☆ One time you tripped during training and got a huge scratch on your leg and Levi stepped in to care for you. He asked Connie to go get the alcohol and in his excitement he ran back and tripped spilling the entire bottle all over the floor. Eren had to go run to the closest store and get more.

☆ At some point in time he walks into your room and sloppily pours his feelings out to you as you sit on your bed staring at him in confusion. His face is like beet red and he's breathing like he just ran a marathon. But you laugh and tell him you think he's adorable. You think he's gonna hug you when he pulls you in under your arms but he just holds your back super tight with both hands and swings you around till you can't stop giggling. His kiss is sweet a little sloppy cause it's his first but he's eager and cute as he pulls you into his chest. Probably bites your lip in a playful way and you can't help but lean into him.

☆ Modern day Connie is probably annoying the fuck out of you. He sends you memes all day! Put your phone on silent all you want you'll just come back to 40+ messages. And he likes to call you when he's not busy which means you're forever regretting giving him your number.

☆ He'll deadass go to the bathroom and face time you in the stall talkin bout some, "What're you doing right now?" And you're like, "Mfer what are you doing right now!"

☆ Yes he does have you in his phone as something crass and no he's not willing to change it. Most likely some shit like fat ass with a heart or Mommy/Daddy as a personal joke.

☆ And yeah you find him super annoying until this one night when he's texting you pics of his old family dog back home and he tells you everything about the dog's life from when he was a puppy to the day he passed and he shows you pics of him kissing the little pups head and holding him and things like that. The last video he sent was him crying while holding a framed photo after the dog's passing during Christmas time. And it's the first time you've ever been provoked to hug Connie instead of choke him.

☆ When the time finally comes for Connie to tell you his feelings you're in a good place to accept them and tell him you like him back. And that's when he pulls you in around the neck and gives you a surprisingly natural kiss. His mouth is parted slightly, hands gripping the back of your shirt a little as he keeps you close. He allows you to take the lead. Forehead warm where it's pressed against his. You both can't help but stay like that for awhile.

☆ Rule number 1 you cannot know he is simping. He'll take it to his grave but if you're not oblivious you'll probably catch on.

☆ When he disassociates during a meeting his eyes get darker in the middle and he just rests his chin on his palm and stares at you. Doesn't matter that the meeting has been going on for more than an hour and he has yet to blink. He doesn't even know he's doing it. When he comes back down to earth he just blinks normally and looks away. And if no one tells him he'll honestly continue to do it. Sometimes in different positions, he's laying back in his chair head forward but his eyes are on you a couple seats down on the other side of the table.

☆ He picks up items whenever he goes into town. And I mean every. single. time. For you and he makes sure it's something you'll love and while you're out training he'll stuff it in a box and place it on your bed.

☆ He writes you anonymous notes with little inspirational words on them in places only you'll find them. But it's inspirational in Levi terms so it's shit like, "Stay alive for tomorrow." And "Don't look down because the sun is up."

☆ When he needs a break from work he just closes his eyes and thinks about you. Sometimes he does it just because he secretly loves that warm floating sensation he gets.

☆ Like Eren he'll trot up beside you whenever he can. But he won't say a word unless you say something first.

• "Hi Captain." You greet when he pops into your peripheral vision.

• Genuinely can not help how soft his eyes are when he looks at you, "Hello." He replies

☆ He'll find some reason to complain about the way his entire squad cleans their rooms so that he can also have an excuse to say he'll reclean them so that he has an excuse to make a bee line for your room first and be trapped in your scent. Taking your sheets off the bed and holding them to his chest, sweeping, getting that extra elbow grease on the windows so they're more spotless than even his standards.

☆ And of course because he doesn't want you to know he's simping hard for you he has to deal with you paying him the same amount of attention as the other higher ups which he hates with a burning passion. Like why don't you like him more? He does way more for you on a level that you can see. You should be more affectionate towards him. You talk to him everyday.

☆ I don't think I need to tell you Levi's shy so you'll be confessing. And you start by telling him you know the notes are from him because while Levi's intelligent he's also stupid. Like who the fuck else has access to your uniform clothes and would care enough to go in your drawers just to leave a piece of paper with the words, "Life is never so shitty that you can't at least better yourself."

☆ He kinda just lowers his head as pink soaks his entire face. And you lift his chin up to press a slow chaste kiss on his lips. He doesn't touch you. He can't bring himself to but he manages to kiss back. His irises so bright when you pull away. "Thank you Captain." You tell him before you leave. He's definitely genuinely worried his heart is getting ready to explode as he stares at the closed door.

•Modern verse

☆ Modern day Levi is a fucking mess. He doesn't know shit about having a crush and he knows it's you really early into meeting you but he's like, why them. He managed to spend his entire existence avoiding romance and yet here you are. He doesn't even know what he wants from you so sometimes he comes off a little more aggressive when he's talking to you.

☆ He stares directly into your soul when you're sitting across from him for any reason. You had to have had a crush on him first because he genuinely doesn't know what to do with himself.

☆ If you invite him somewhere he scoffs immediately following it up with a, "I'll be there."

☆ He rereads your messages whenever he's bored. And if you send him good morning texts he'll be thinking, morning beautiful angel. The one time you sent him a good morning text with a heart he analyzed it so long that he never replied back to you.

☆ The second he figured out how to use personalized ringtones he made yours something soft and sweet. Most likely with violins or maybe with a harp.

☆ A couple times while he was bored during a meeting or class he wrote your initials in cursive in his notebook. One time he wrote it on the front of his notebook by accident and had to throw that one away. Which honestly made him sad because he really liked how it looked.

☆ When you confess to him it's by accident and the way his face lights up is actually the most precious thing you've ever seen. He comes back down to earth slow and admits that he "feels the same." Under his breath of course but you heard and that's what counts.

☆ When you kiss him you instantly notice how small his lips actually are 🥺🥺 like you've stared at them before when he was eating and stuff but his lips are cute and so small. And he's so hesitant to kiss back. But then he does and you can kinda feel the tension leave him a little. His arms a little shaky as he supports himself. It probably looks like two middle schoolers kissing for the first time honestly. Right down to the sitting on the edge of the bed thing. But Levi's lips are so warm and he's such a naturally good kisser that you indulge for as long as you can.

Mitsuya himself makes you a lot of clothes, you’d get cool clothes only available for you to wear! When you told him that you knit he probably got really excited that you two kinda have something in common!

You decided to make him a scarf since your relationship has gotten tighter over the weeks, you really put your heart and soul into the whole project, from planning it to picking out the colors to figuring out how long it should be. It may have taken you a little while to make but it was so worth it! You just hoped Mitsuya would love it as much as you do.

You decided to put it in a little gift box and buy a fancy bow to put on top, it really just adds a bit of spice to the whole thing!

You stopped by Mitsuya's house after school to bring him your little gift. Your kinda nervous to see if he’ll like it or not. but honestly he will love it When you put the gift in his hands he looked at you and smiled, his smile is so bright and warm!!

“What’s this?” He asks in his soft voice. omg his soft voice is so<33

“A gift for you!” You say excited and eager for him to open it.

Mitsuya carefully lifts open the top of the box and immediately smiles when he sees the scarf inside, you can tell he really likes it!

“Wow y/n this is so pretty, your actually amazing you know that?” When he said that you can feel little butterfly’s flutter around your stomach. he’s so sweet

“I was worried you weren’t going to like it haha” When you told him that his smile kinda faded a bit :(

“Why would you think that? Of course I’d love it, it’s coming from the most amazing person in the world, my one true love.” Your heart was about to melt… literally. Mitsuya wrapped his arms around you pulling you into a hug.

“Thank you for the scarf.” He whispered into your ear, you were blushing just a little bit and super happy that he liked it. Maybe you should make him more things in the future..

You saw on tiktok that someone made a scarf for this s/o, you wanted to do the same thing for Chifuyu.. you knew how to knit a little bit so it was time to do some research on how to get better at it. After a few practice tries you were ready to start on your big project! A scarf for Chifuyu, especially with winter coming up he’s gonna need one! You decided to put little cats that looked like peke j into the scarf, he’ll definitely love that. peke j is so cute too ngl

You took one final look at the scarf, it have a few flaws here and there but you were still new to knitting and not everything’s perfect, you just hoped Chifuyu would like it enough to wear it..

You and Chifuyu had a date tonight so you decided to give it to him then as a surprise gift! You found a nice gift bag to put it in with some fancy paper to add some pop to the whole idea.

Once your date was almost over you pulled out your gift for Chifuyu…

“Oh no you didn’t have to get me a gift y/n!”

“I want you to have it, it’s personalized for you silly!” His face looks confusing when you said that, ‘personalized for him??’

When he took out the fancy paper he saw the scarf sitting alone at the bottom, he gently pulled it out and a joyful smile appeared on his face.

“Woah this is so cool! Did you make this?” Chifuyu asks excitedly

“Mhm!” You responded too nervous to make any real conversation.

“Oh my gosh even peke j is on it, your the best y/n!!” Chifuyu made sure to give you plenty of tiny kisses all over your face while walking you home, just the thought that you made something for him warms his heart so much.!

Inui is definitely the kind of person who is almost always cold or shivering with goosebumps all over, it was your grand idea to knit him a cute and casual scarf that maybe could help him out with that. You didn’t really know what kind of theme Inui would like since he doesn’t share much of his small interests like favorite animals/colors :(

So you decided to stick to basics and make a lovely beige scarf, something simple that maybe he’ll like it? You made sure to make it long enough that it drapes down his shoulder to help keep his body warm too! Secretly planning the perfect gift hoping that Inui would like it too.

You were so close to being finished on Inui's scarf working on the last bit in your room when you hear your window start to open…

“Hey y/n whatcha doing?” Inui pops into your room from the window… it’s like 1:00 in the morning-

“Inui! What are you doing here!?” You shout lightly trying to cover up your gift for him.

“Oh are you making something? I really just kind of missed you so I wanted to come by and hang out. If your busy I can go-”

“No it’s fine I was just working on a project..”

“What kind of project?” he asks while he inspects what your hiding with you hands.

“Umm it may be a gift.. for someone…”

“Huh? Oh I get it, oops my bad did I spoil jt for myself?” Inui laughs nervously with his hand behind his neck.

“No it’s okay, im almost finished with it so you can have it once im done!”

“Can I watch you finish it?” He asks curiously.

“Oh sure..” you reply nervously with a bit of light pink developing across your face.

You spend the rest of the night knitting on your ‘project’ while Inui watches behind you. Maybe your little gift was spoiled but by the look in his eyes as he watches you, you can tell he already loves the new addition soon to be in his wardrobe.

iwaizumi: when someone is putting the car in reverse and they put their hand on the back of your seat iwaizumi been interested in you for a while, and ever since he came to the revelation he finds it really hard to talk to you because he’s afraid of coming off too aggressive or you figuring it out 😔💔 good thing kindaichi reveals that you’re his older cousin and that you’ll be driving some of them to their next practice match because the volleyball team’s bus is out for a checkup!! 😍😘 oikawa, matsukawa and hanamaki all force him to sit shotgun as you drive (even kunimi and yahaba get in on it). iwaizumi grumbles about it and all but he’s secretly super happy he gets to be right next to you omg 👀😭 he takes a bunch of glances around the interior of your (parents’) car and sits a little straighter than he usually would.

he can feel the stares on the back of his head from the other third years egging him on to make a move and just when he works up the nerve to say something to you, you put the car in reverse to back out the parking spot and put your hand on the back of his seat 😳😤 iwaizumi thinks you look so cool AND HOT he clams up and just stares at you with his jaw slightly open 👁👄👁 💕pls save him 🤧

matsukawa: when a girl puts her hand up to yours and remarks on how yours is so much bigger you got randomly paired up with each other to do a presentation for your world history class and so you’re sitting next to each other on a saturday afternoon at the public library doing research together. matsukawa spent more time than he would like thinking about what to wear because he doesn’t want you to think that his fashion sense was as grotesque as the school’s khaki pants 😷🤢 (when you complimented him nonchalantly about how he looks a million times better in casual clothes compared to the school uniform and joking said that he should start a petition to get rid of the school’s ugly khaki plaid pants and skirts and use a photo of what he was wearing today as the main piece of evidence, he almost doubles over 💀)

you’re sitting next to each other and he’s still kinda reeling from the previous interaction ahjdalhd but he does his best to pull his weight. he’s taking notes in a notebook and you look over and comment out of the blue that his hands are really big as you look at yours 🤧👀 he blinks and looks at you like “yeah?” and you nod, putting your hand up and he does it too because he thinks he’s having a fever dream at this point, but not even in his wildest dream did he’’d ever think you’d push your palm against his and say “your hand is so big! 😳” he has to excuse himself to go to the washroom to scream 😘🥰❤️

hanamaki: when you’re sitting next to someone on public transport and the centrifugal force from the vehicle firmly mooshes the two of you together hanamaki pines for you silently and you can’t really tell he likes you because he’s pretty decent at keeping his emotions hidden. or maybe you’re just so busy with your senior year you don’t notice anything that isn’t the impending doom of university applications and keeping your grades up 😤😇 anyways the two of you get on and off at the same stop each day (which he secretly thanks god for 😭) and you’re sitting next to each other and hanamaki thinks he’s gonna combust because you’ve never been this close!! 🥺🥰

he can feel his hands getting sweaty already. hanamaki sneaks glances at you and tries to see what you’re doing on your phone LMFAO suddenly, the train lurches a bit and you slide from the inertia right into his side and then he can feel the warmth coming from your thighs, side and your shoulder are touching holy sh— 😭❤️😵👀💖 you look up to apologize as he takes a breath and you’re a little shy in your apology but he takes that chance to ask you about something mundane and he makes you laugh!!!! he thinks about the interaction for the next two weeks because he finally got to talk to you dhaskld ☺️🥺💕

kyoutani: when anyone raises their arms to stretch and their shirt gets lifted up slightly gym class—you’re doing timed runs today!! kyoutani is already finished with his so he’s just sitting off the side of the track, staring not-so-subtly at you but you don’t notice because it’s your turn next!! you’ve got the typical school mandated shorts and plain t-shirt on but kyou is all 👀 at your tastefully exposed skin. he thinks you look pretty with the sun hitting your face as you give a smile to your friend, squinting at the sun light 🥰

he’s just mindlessly staring at this point but then you raise your arms to stretch your triceps and the hem of your shirt rises up a little to expose the tiniest sliver of skin before it’s covered again 👁👁 his cheeks pink a little and you catch him looking LMFAO but you don’t think anything of it and just smile and wave as kyoutani burns bright red, heart battering against his ribs and looks away 😡🤡🥰💕 he saves it for future reference HURDURDUR 😇😛

semi: making eye contact with another customer at the grocery store around the same age it’s 2:11pm on a tuesday and semi’s at the grocery store because it’s summer and his mom was all “go to the store and buy these shimeji mushrooms for me, eita, they’re on sale!!! but only until 3pm so get skedaddling!” 😩 so he’s here and he swears housewives are the most powerful people on the planet because he thought he was gonna d-word just tryna get his discount mushrooms. he spots you in the condiments aisle looking at sesame oil and he gives you the up, down and lingers a little too long on your exposed legs 💀

he thinks you look really cute in your t-shirt and jean shorts though 🥰 when you look up and make eye contact with him and give him a little smile and wave he BLUSHES 🥺 and is right about to take the chance to talk to you but a granny hip checks him trying to get to the soybean paste and he almost trips and lands on his face 😔💔 so much for looking cool in front of you 😢🥺

tendou: having someone else play with your hair satori sees you on cleaning duty carrying the recycling to the bins as he finishes his runs around the school, about to make a turn to the gyms. he makes a beeline for you, calling your name with a bright smile on his face and waving his arms in the air. 🥰💞🥺

he bounds up to you and offers to help even though the bin is really light, cheeks warming at your smile 😊 when he takes the bin out of your hands , you wave your hand to get him to bend down. he complies, eyes widening when he feels your hand in his hair. he straightens up to see you holding onto a couple pieces of cherry blossom petals 🌸 he laughs bashfully; it feels like time has slowed and you’re the only two people in the world 💖💕

sakusa: if you’re on a pc/laptop, somebody leaning over your shoulder to look at the screen with you. the close proximity of your faces can feel awkwardly sexual you’re in the same kinesiology class and sakusa first noticed how GOOD your presentations are wtf and he’s even more impressed when he hears that you winged the whole thing because “i conveniently forgot about this until one in the morning when I decided it was a good time to reorganize your entire dorm room” ALSO you offered him hand cream the one time you caught him staring and against all reason he said yes and ever since he’s been dying to ask you where you got it from because HOLY was it nice 😍

you get paired up for the final pair presentation and he’s only become more interested in you! you’re easy to talk to and don’t pry too much and he finds himself oversharing at times 💀 the professor gives the class part of the lecture time to work on the projects so you’re sitting next to each other working when he asks you a question about the academic article he just found and you lean over his shoulder to look at his screen 👁👁 for anyone else, the close proximity of your faces would have grossed him out but he can’t stop thinking about how good you smell and how cute your ears look 👀🥰 when you tell him he’s found a really good source with an excited smile on your face, he BLUSHES and promptly wants to pass away because he has no mask on to cover him 🤡😭😵

sachiro: when you have a melting popsicle, there often comes a time where you must choose between eating it too quickly, or sucking it off so it doesn’t drip on you sachiro hums happily, holding your hand as the two of you walk home after your date and stopping at the convenience store where he buys the two of you popsicle sticks 😋

you’re talking about something funny you saw hoshiumi do in the class the other day when your popsicle drips onto you. you kitten lick at your hand and take the whole thing in your mouth to get rid of the more liquidy parts of your ice cream and sachiro is all 👁👄👁 he swallows thickly, cheeks warming and heart beating a little faster; why’s he suddenly so thirsty? 🥵💦🙈

gao: getting a strong whiff of somebody’s perfume when they pass you gao really wants to talk to you, like really really wants to talk to you 😖😭🙏 but you’re talking to your friends about something and the cute way you laughs and joke with them has him all 🥺🥰🤩

he’s about to walk up and join the conversation because let’s face it, gao isn’t afraid of much 🤧💀 too bad the teacher calls you back into the classroom about something. when you pass him, he gets a good whiff of your shampoo and his stomach flutters 😍😊🥺💕💖 follows you with sparkly eyes and wishes he made the choice to talk to you sooner 💔

futakuchi: bending over to pick up something you dropped kenji is watching (glaring) as you talk to one of the baseball team’s starting players 🤐 he’s so ticked but he doesn’t admit it like where does this guy get off making you laugh and smile like that wtf 😒🙄 luckily for kenji, the guy gets pulled away by the class rep for something so kenji calls your name to get you to look at him instead 😤

you come over and just as he’s about to stand up from his desk, he knocks over his eraser. you crouch down to pick it up and he finds himself really liking it 👁👁 he doesn’t get it either 🤡 like you aren’t bending and snapping—just folding your knees to get his eraser for him, but the way you tucked your hair behind your ear before you bent down so prettily has him ☺️😉🥵

terushima: when you’re eating and chatting with someone and they lick their lips yuuji pulled you away from your friends when it was time for lunch, wanting to spend more time with you one on one. he was so busy with volleyball and school lately 😞 and when he managed to get you to tell him how lonely you felt without him, he made it his mission to spend more time with you!!! 🥰😘💕

you’re eating together, sharing food and talking about everything and anything when he notices you lick your lips; he zones in on your little pink tongue as it swipes across your bottom lip 👁👁 “yuuji, you okay?” a hand on your cheek and suddenly, he’s kissing you. he tastes like the leftovers your mom packed you for lunch 🥰😋
