There was this Alvim Correa fighting machine I modelled like a couple months ago(?) and I think I got the general details right.
there's these illustrations from Correa that details that rod that pokes out og their hood, and It quite seriously helped with understanding how it's detailed and--how I interpret it--how the rod connects, which I think looks better than it being stapled to the forehead.
And also how the cage also looks, which looks a lot more basket-like. Interesting!
I think these later illustrations show the more refined design that Correa made, but that's just how I think of it
Also I just needed to share this one, since it also has a cameo of the funny-stupid looking orb tripod
And here's what I think is the ONLY interpretation of the steam jets; a literal hose, simple but effective
and I may mention the fighting-machine peeling the railway, notice how it's two legs are in the front? that gave me the impression that they're able to turn their head and "swap" the orientation of the legs to however they see fit, kinda cool
Everytime I look at the correa sketches I see something I haven't seen before, it's quite fun looking at 'em
