The Wizard of Oz. I don't remember much, just the opening titles and for years I thought it was a false memory - my mother was a year old when it was first released in '39. So how could I have seen it?

It's my favorite movie (as you can probably tell from my avatar), and I have a bunch of collectables. In the 50th anniversary commemorative book it stated that the movie was released in 1970 and again in '72 as a part of children's matinees. MY MEMORY HAS BEEN VINDICATED! lol.

It has continued to be released theatrically over the years and I try to see it every time.

what's the first movie you remember seeing in theaters? don't try and be all edgy and cool and say like tetsuo: the iron man. be honest.

And here is Munchkinland! In the Oz books the buildings are described as being round and blue, and surrounded by beautiful fields full of flowers and trees. I wanted to make it feel cozy and comely, the sort of place that reflects a simple way of life that is at one with nature.

Elphaba Thropp and the Wicked Witch of the West are dual figures that adapt to the times ig lol

me (alpha mindset): it's not that i dont have any consistency while drawing faces, it's just elphaba that has been portrayed by so many people so now her face is completely subjective.
