updated Sleight ref!!

#i changed his colors !!#treat this as a suggestion than a solid ref. i spent like 3 hours drawing and redrawing the legs bc i couldnt get the shape right so if u #wanna draw them more planti or digi i do not mind ^_^ get silly with it!! same goes for pelt pattern do whatevr u want with it #the pelt pattern is loosely based on a snowshoe cat which was fun to play with. as u can see they kinda have a butterfly motif going on #if u squint the ear tufts kinda resemble luna moths or swallowtails with the long tail at the end of the wings #i was kinda torn about changing the costume color but it clashed too much with the new color palette so i had to change it #i didnt include the cape here so its easier to see the costume but ill draw it another time if i remember lol #its also a lil hard to see but i put pinstripes on their pants but thats optional. their design is pretty flexible anyway #god im pretty attached to this guy already. hes like semi fan character semi regular character... oc... thing #i should draw more furries. i followed some furry artists for giggles recently and its true what they say. u need furries in your life #btw while i was drawing this i was fooling around while trying to figure out his costume color and colored it as kaito kids suit for fun #and i just stared at it for a solid 5 minutes before saving a picture. maybe ill post it later #my art #myart #my oc #oc #furry art #fur #furry #laika's comet #laika's comet oc #fan character #sleight #ref sheet #oc ref sheet

Every day I become more and more like Trevor Watson. As someone who is currently a stage manager for an amateur college theater group. Who is currently working on a show with an over ambitious director.

And then I’m also a stage manager for my legit (not student run) theatre department on campus and the director in that production is also being really over ambitious and isn’t understanding how tech works

I become this more and more every day.

Because it’s really not my job to do this.

This is what I have been working on this week. A4 paper in gouache. It's a rather difficult medium to work with. I do like the consistency, and the matte finish. But I found it hard to make the colours come out bright (I suppose gouache is like that?). I used coloured pencils and what is supposed to be oil pastels (it was straight up chalk lol). I think it could still use more work, but I fear I would just ruin it if I work any further. Overall, I'm happy with the result! Next up will be acrylics! Progress shots under the cut:

hc that when Laios became king Kabru basically did a whole tutorial speech musical number like Julian from Barbie Princess and The Pauper "To be a Princess" but its to be a king instead. Kabru just busts out the kingdom etiquette / politics knowledge and Laios is like "😞 i am not getting any of this" and Kabru has to boil it all down like this is how to be a king for dummies

mmmm it's a bit of both kinda? more so the latter honestly! i mean by social norms & standards he's already a quirky guy, and i think he'd have a plethora of 'odd' mannerisms & habits on top of that. so yes, he's genuinely strange, but it's up to others to view/treat that as a negative or a positive or a neutral yk yk

as for me, i project my trypanophobia and fear of clowns onto raph LMAO

as for like... stuff beyond projection and like for waht i maybe think about from the show/movie,, i think they each have their own specific fear/things that freak them out, many things, as is normal. but nothing thats like severe enough to name specifically?

just like... normal discomfort around alot of specific things, each their own... i cant reallty think of any specific things

as for severe phobias, other than mikey being scared of paranormal stuff, donnie and beach balls, and raph and rabbits/puppets, im unsure if i headcanon anything specific like that outside of any like.. self-indulgence

#yeah yea i knnow "how can u have phobia of needles but have piercings and tattoos bla bla bla #BECAUSEEE ITS DUE TO MEDICAL TRAUMA . I watched Martyn Inthelittlewood's POV for Limited Life and it was DELICIOUS. He was incredibly good in it. Had a lot of fun throwing together this concept. Scott basically called for horror/monster artists to draw cool art of their coral look... and I decided to add some dumbass lore to it. "Curse of the Coral" tied with "Curse of the Gills" in my head, but I went with coral.

I imagine the top left pic was the last hours.
