There is somebody building a fort in the backyard of the Blue's Clues house, but they have no idea who it is. It's not Steve, it's not Blue, it's not Tickety, & it wasn't Mr. salt either! Now seriously, I believe this is because the Blue's Clues universe does not have a fourth wall, they are sentient book characters in the universe (hence why "Storybook World" and the original series began with a book being opened), and many musicals are based on books.

It's like how they personally know the Big Bad Wolf and Red Riding Hood, but they still do shows based on the tales they came from (Joe Show, Rainbow Riding Hood, etc). There are musicals based on Tickety Tock, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper and Magenta's version of "about a Puppy"

So Nintendo recently announced a game about a bunch of little mushroom Smurf looking guys running around a forest sending letters to turtles and squirrels. And the game is called "Mail Time".

I've seen one or two people geek out over the name, even so far as to post the lyrics to the song in the comments of the trailer at some point.

And all I'm thinking about this game is "...how the f[Bow-Bow!]k did they get that past legal?".

Oh wow! And same- I know Bloo from Foster's was originally going to have his named spelled as "Blue" (I've got a copy of the writers' bible from eBay and it came with some storyboards), but I'm PRETTY sure legal got in the way with that one (plus, Blue's Clues was still running when the show was pitched).

IIRC there was some show on Nick Jr. from a few years back called "Tickety Toc" (not spelled the same way as the character we all know and love) and I was all "Wait....the Blue's Clues character?". I was disappointed when I saw it was not the case.

*ahem* the kids show tickety toc. nice nostalgia, but also, i realized that their names are tommy and tallulah. and WHO ELSE ARE NAMED TOMMY AND TALLULAH?

i'm just saying there's a wide window for tallulah g/t AND dadbur & soninnit. but this is just a funky little observation 😉
