tricking myself into drawing landscapes by allowing myself to add an oc or two (Alya my beloved)
[this is based on a pic I took at the Oregon coast which is very similar to the look/climate of the setting of Starlightverse. Anyway standing on a cliff overlooking the ocean on a cloudy day is just so alyacore and yes in case you are wondering she is scoping out the tide pools below and looking for a way down to see the Creatures]

my tags on the coast poll is how i talk to my girlfriend about the oregon coast, she lived in georgia for a while and is used to sandy beaches with no cliffs so i'm always propagandizing the oregon coast to her. i have made little progress in converting her to a rocky coast person no matter how many time i mention the creatures that live in the tide pools

Tillamook Bay, Oregon.
Speaking of beachcombing, the coast along Oregon’s Tillamook Bay is perfect for just that. At low tide, spots such as the Three Graces rock formation (pictured above) invite beach and tidal pool exploration, as well as bird-watching and sandcastle building. (There’s also ice cream at the Tillamook Creamery!) Just don’t bother the gooseneck barnacles, which look like the toes of a sleeping dragon sticking out from the rocks. They are a briny seafood delicacy but are actually quite fragile, so conservationists urge visitors to avoid disturbing them.
