I made a Kroger Butter Biscuit, Kroger Peach Preserves, Nutella, and Hot & Spicy with Tocino Spam Biscuit sandwiches and they were pretty good.

The biscuits were buttery soft, the peach preserves was lightly sweet with a light peach flavor, the nutella was oily but smooth and creamy while having a light hazelnut chocolate taste to it.

The Hot & Spicy spam was firm and soft while lightly spicy.

The Tocino spam was lightly sweet tasting and when well with the Hot and spicy spam, peach preserves, Nutella and the butter biscuits. .

The butter biscuit sandwiches sweet and salty but not overly to me.

I would make this again.

Got the butter biscuits and peach preserves at Kroger, Got the Nutella at Ollies, Got the Hot & Spicy Spam at Walmart, and got the Tocino Spam at Walmart.

Yes I have! I love pandesal. I have only made plain before but I love the cheese kind as well. I want to make ube cheese pandesal at some point!

Edit: I just looked up Jeanelleats. This recipe for Pandan Pandesal Loaf looks amazing…. I’m NOT buying a shokupan loaf tin but if I had one…. Pandan is one of my favorite flavors…..

Interesting find…I’ve driven by many times without realizing that there was a café at the Amtrak station in Centerville, Fremont. It’s a Filipino/American café that serves breakfast and lunch all day (they close early though) and Equator Coffee. Everyone ordered the Filipino breakfast with garlic rice, 2 eggs cooked your way, and protein of your choice (tocino, adobo, sisig, spam, longanisa, char sui chicken, tapa, corned beef). They also have burritos, paninis, sandwiches, smoothies, and drinks. Prices are very reasonable.

Pork sisig silog ($11.95): huge scoop of garlic rice, two over easy eggs with runny yolks, lots of finely chopped grilled pork with jalapeno, sweet onion, and soy sauce, raw tomato wedge. The rice was fine but didn’t have much garlic flavor. The sisig was definitely too salty (by a lot) and dry.  Mixing it with the rice and adding Tapatio and vinegar helped a lot.

My father enjoyed the tocino and commented on the generous amount of meat and rice. The tocino is thinly sliced marinated pork. The marinade is soy sauce, garlic, and island spices. It was sweet and reminded him of char siu.

The wait person explained that their kitchen is small and they run on island time. So, plan on having a leisurely experience. Condiments include s&p, tabasco, Tapatio, and vinegar. They never brought us napkins. I asked for a refill of water and never got it.

The ambiance is definitely interesting. The place is filled with antiques. The tables and chairs look old. You can also dine at the counter or outside.

I noticed that the most popular item was the longanisa silog.

i want to eat meat so bad. I'm so sick of seeing noodles, soups, century fucking tuna or god brought forth so called "red meat".

Tocino sucks ass, I used to eat it quite a lot when i was younger but now I see it for what it is, entirely too sweet god damn meat.

also no, do not mention hotdogs. I like it but even someone like me who eats meat like that gets tired very fast of said mystery meat because I see it and eat it too much.

I want to eat spam, porkchop, steak, corn beef, bacon, and little bits of pork, ah.

I tried the Homemade Tocino Spam, Kroger Smoked Provolone, and Egg Sandwich and it was pretty good. The spam was soft and the cheeses were melted. The egg was well cooked but needed some seasonings in it and I like my cheese inside my eggs instead of just a flat omelet.

I would toast my bread in the convection oven and add the ingredients in later.

I would eat this again.
