Summary: what does Luz’s love life like in different seasons?

Season 1

● Luz would be very lovable. She'd be very clingy and goofy in the relationship. She'd always want to spend time with you and make you laugh with her silly jokes and antics. She'd inevitably want to be close and cuddle with you, and would never want to let them go. Luz would be the kind of person who is constantly looking for ways to make you happy. She would be loyal and devoted, always wanting to be near you and make sure you are taken care of and happy.

● she's be very open with you, sometimes asking strange questions, but always with the best intentions. She would never judge you for anything and would always be there for you to talk and share your thoughts and feelings, tough she would be a trouble maker, she's try to go out for food and somehow set half the town on fire. She's always looking out for you and trying to make sure you are happy, even if it means going against the grain. She loves to explore and take risks, and sometimes those risks don't always turn out the way she had hoped.

Season 2

● Luz wouldn't be as open as she would in season 1, she would mostly put all her attention on more mission, exspeshally towards the end when she's trying to get rid of Belos...This would probably leave you to be the clingy one.

● whenever she's not on a mention she's off with her friends, though she tries hard to make time for you.

● once she does have time to spend with you it goes by very quickly so that is why she makes the most of it. She cuddles you, listens to your problems, little kisses from here and there, tells you how much she loves you, she puts all her attention into you...Nothing else matters around her in those small moments of free time.

Season 3 (Human realm)

● during this time Luzs and the others are going through a lot, which is why she focus more on you and everyone else and rebuilding the portal, though there's something different about her she seems...Off, as if she's not happy with herself.

● once you found out about her journal you talked with her, and she told you everything along with crying and hugging you till you can barely breath, A few months in while she went to school (you were still "missing") you would talk and sit with the others, learning how to speak Spanish which comes in handy when Luz is flirting.

● very caring and you two have more time to spend together, Whenever you cuddle she doesn't let go of you for a long time...

Season 3 (Demon realm)

● once again Luz start to act strange and she was father away from you, mostly foucsing on mission...more than everyone.

● After all was said and done, you both ran into one another's arms and embraced one another. The only thing Eda could do was pull you apart, teasing you for your PDA. You both chuckled, embarrassed, but still with a feeling of joy in your hearts. You knew you were meant to be, and no one was going to stop you from expressing your love for one another.

Season 3 (AgedUp!)

● Luz is also compassionate and understanding. She knows more about dating than ever and apologizes for ignoring you during season 2 though you told her it's fine. She has more then enough breaks to cuddle and kiss you. Even an occasional make-out session ♡

● She likes to smother you in complements, but not enough to make you feel overwhelmed. She's genuine and sincere in her words, and it's one of the things you love most about her. She's always there to boost your confidence and make you feel appreciated. She pairs her compliments with tangible acts of kindness, like bringing you your favorite snack when you're feeling down, or sending you an encouraging text when you're feeling overwhelmed. She's always there to lend an ear or a shoulder to lean on, and that's what makes her compliments so meaningful to you.

Semi-Final 1: Hollow Mind vs Watching and Dreaming

Hollow Mind: A magical mishap transports Luz and Hunter into a new mindscape…and this one is a twisted nightmare.

Propaganda:

Hollow Mind literally is THE episode of all time. Fantastic buildup and reveal and such a fascinating look into the literal mind of our main villain. As a Belos fan it is literally my fav episode ever. The characterization it gave him as his inner self being a child, the PORTRAITS IN THE BACK THAT DETAIL HIS ENTIRE BACKSTORY AHHH. It is literally the peak of Toh's mystery in storytelling. And the way it sets up the Day of Unity and Luz's arc for the rest of the series UGH IT'S SO GOOD. Not to mention amazing Luz and Hunter relationship development.

Watching and Dreaming: The fate of everything on the Boiling Isles now rests on the shoulders of a human, a cursed witch, and a tiny but determined little King.

hey, really appreciate your discussions! i definitely think toh has some flaws but people overexaggerate them and point to other things as being the issue. it's nice to see someone not starting an angry argument lol. what's your opinion on people blaming Disney shortening the series for all of the writing issues? i think that while Disney execs were definitely a large part of it, some of the blame also falls to the writers, especially for season 3. i feel like s3e2 was too slow and focused on characters we don't care about as much, taking time away from the main cast, while s3e3 felt super rushed. i feel like the writers could have managed their time better, maybe spending less time on boscha + kiki + hexside kids in the second episode and dealt with the collector, and then dealt with belos in the 3rd episode? season 3 just kinda feels like it was handled poorly.

In regards to how people discuss the shortening, I think it's complicated and not just 100% because of the shortening or 100% because of writing alone most of the time. Like look at Gus and his overall development. It's quite lacking, and I think this is in large part due to how what they planned to do with the gaulderstones was cut, I feel that should be acknowledged while also acknowledging the fact that they could've tried more to develop him a little more by using there time wisely.

For For The Future, I honestly see it as a saying goodbye to the more minor characters and locations, kind of like a goodbye and while I do think the time could be used better I'd like to acknowledge that it's a nice thought.

For Watching And Dreaming, I felt it too. It just felt like they built everything up a bit too much and didn't give themselves enough breathing room to wrap things up.

My favourite character is Hunter, and my favourite season is definitely season two.

i like the thought of luz or amity reading to the other when theyre like stressed or something because thats just a sweet little thing?

also when they first got to the human realm i think amity would like grab random things she found interesting and give them to luz? she'd also probably collect cicada shells/sheds/molts (bro idk but i do this)

and random idea but like luz takes amity to an aquarium and amity is absolutely stricken by the rays (torpedo rays, electric rays, literally every single ray)

Oh look, it’s the echo mouse Musse.

…you know, I don’t think I ever explained why I call him that. It’s because the swedish name for Mickey Mouse is Musse Pigg. That’s it. But hey, he gets to have one last appearance, pulling a Cinderella alongside Bat-Queen’s kids. I mean, that has got to be a deliberate reference to the Disney animated Cinderella, right?

Steve’s here too, of course, and he’s cutting into a cake. As someone who likes to bake but isn’t that good at it, I like to say that I’m not very good at making things that look good, but I can make things that taste good.

This is the exact opposite of that.

And with King growing older and stronger, he’s beginning to generate his own magic and his own glyphs! Hmm… it looks like his glyphs have a different design, but i assume they’d be the same four elements.

(also, while rewinding the scene, I noticed Eda’s wearing Raine’s earring. cute)

The crew, who know and love me, gives me just a few more pretty lights to look at with big wide eyes, drawn to them like a moth. The Collector’s in the neighborhood and decided to put on a big ol lightshow.

On this last good bye, they threw in a few more characters, just for funsies. We’ve got Salty the boat captain, Willow’s parents, a couple of faeries, Gus’ dad, Tibbles, and that little kid from Separate Tides.

So… this is the end, huh?

What do I even say? What do I even say? What can i say about this show?

This liveblog exists because of The Owl House. At the time, I was in a creative rut and trying to find some way out of it. I figured maybe getting into a new series might help. I was also a fan of several liveblogs, and so I thought, why not try it? I figured it might get me back to writing.

My journey, as my loyal readers know, has not been always been a smooth sailing. It’s taken me a long time to get here; I finished this episode over a year after it came out for crying out loud. There have been times when I’ve been beat down and unable to create. But never did I lose my love for this show, to contrary, it only ever grew greater.

So yeah, good show, 6/10.

I’M JOKING! I’M JOKING, THAT WAS A JOKE! P-please put that down, it was only a joke!

Jeez luise, you people… ahem.

No, I love this show. That much should be clear, no matter how much snark I inject or how many sarcastic quips I sprinkle into my text, the time spent with this show has been genuinely good. And I joke about things, how we never got Bat-Queen’s backstory for example. But, well… there’s a good reason for that. This show deserved so much better, and the amazing crew deserved so much better. Still, they delivered a fantastic story, and I will undoubtedly return to this again and again.

So what comes next?

As I’ve already mentioned, I am going to watch and liveblog, or at least make some post about The Owl House pilot episode which was leaked a while back. i don’t know what the timeframe is on that, but hopefully not too long.

I’m also gonna keep working on that Vee fic. Speaking of which, I linked it earlier, but just in case you missed it, the first chapter (and a prelude) is up on AO3 right now. I’ll continue to post updates on here, so stay tuned for that as well. I don’t know how long it will take for that to get done, but I’m really excited to work on it, more excited than I’ve been for any creative work in a long time. I’m beginning to feel like maybe I’m not a complete and utter failure and a talentless hack.

Will I continue posting incorrect quotes? Maybe. I’ll continue as long as I get new ideas and I’ll stop when I run out.

But the real question is, what is the next liveblog? Well, I’ve said that already as well, but for those who weren’t paying attention…

The next liveblog will be Amphibia! I’ve bene looking forward to that one for some time now.

My aim right now is to get started with Amphibia in July. Why July? Because that’s when I go on my vacation.

I should probably also do some tidying up on this blog, do some upgrades. I also wanna clean out my askbox, cause, uh… I’ve got a couple of unanswered asks… some of which have been sitting there for a long time now… I should really get around to that.

After wedding and honeymoon -not long after S3E3

Chapter 1

The lavender and auburn haired witch was laying in bed, grumbling, which Luz would tell you is not out of the ordinary.

"Hey!" Amity would protest teasingly, smacking Luz's hand in a half-hearted attempt.

The first thought that crossed Amity's mind now was to get her significant other: She always insisted in letting her know if she ever needed anything at all. Despite the discomfort, the woman grinned thought it, the intense love flooding her bike sack.

Amity turned and leaned in nearer to the lady that engulfed her. The witch snuggled her head onto Luz's broad, musuclar chest. She sighed, at once, bliss from the close contact and the steady rhythm of her Luz's heartbeat.

Aware of her sweet potato, Luz squeezed Amity even close even thought it was perhaps impossible.

The witch presently hummed, lifting her head a little and raising her eyebrows. "Are you up, batata?"

Luz grunted, pressing a kiss to Amity's temple. "Not okay, sweet potato?" she questioned.

Amity pursed her lips. "Mm, feeling nauseous."

"Aww!" Luz ran her hands through Amity's locks, combing through them gently, massaging her scalp. "Does this help, honey?"

Luz gazed down at Amity. She was frowning but she nodded. "Yes, it's comforting. Thank you, baby." she whispered.

Luz kissed Amity's mouth tenderly. "Anything for you, my Amity!"

Amity grinned. Luz was so sweet! Then, she gasped. "What's wrong?"

The Nocedas had fallen into a domestic, fluffy routine pretty quickly. They had been attending university for a year and settling into their new professions, their new walks of slice of life in The Boiling Isles and the Human Realm, cruising between worlds whenever they pleased.

Amity was an Abomination engineer and a librarian, still reading to the children to this day. Luz, meanwhile, was helping rebuild the Isles along with the Hexsquad, and everyone who wished to help. She also was an explorer, and assistant professor at the University of Wild Magic. Eda was so proud of her daughter, she crowed that she'd definitely be the next principal in line!

Amity shook her head, leaving Luz and running to the bathroom. Luz, brows furrowed with worry, sprinted after her.

She found Amity on the tiles, resting her forehead against the cool floor, breathing heavily. Luz was by her side in a flash, rubbing her back.

"Did you throw up?" she questioned soothingly, hovering close to her.

"No." Amity croaked, just staying there.

"Love, you're shaking!" Luz exclaimed. Amity managed a weak hum.

"Want me to make you something to eat? Some herbal tea to soothe you, lemon drop?" Luz whispered.

Amity nodded. "Yes, just some tea, please, Luz. I'm not hungry."

"Ok." Luz replied. She was about to leave, when she enquired,"Are you sure you don't want any breakfast yet, Amity?"

Amity stuck her tongue out, scowling. "Ugh! No, thanks. I don't think I can stomach any food right now."

"Wanna get some more rest?" Luz enquired softly. "It'll do you good!"

Amity let Luz lift her carefully and coax her back to bed, drawing the comforter to her wife's chin. "Wait here, sweetheart. I'll be back soon, alright?"

The witch dipped her head, smiling at Luz's thoughtfulness. "What would I do without you?"

Luz shrugged, smiling. She turned away and strode to the kitchen intent on preparing Amity's drink. As soon as her back was turned, thoughts came flooding in. Amity had been feeling sick quite often as of late.

Luz had suggested they go see a healer together, just to make sure everything was ok; Amity has declined her kind offer, changing subject at top speed. Everytime Luz had mentioned it -and she had done so quite a few times-her sweet potato had been so anxious, Luz swore she could see her sweating bullets not unlike in an anime.

Why is Amity so terrified? I don't ever recall her having healer phobia. Luz mused with a frown her witch would have found adorable. "Eh," Luz shrugged, and took the tray up to her darling.

Entering their bedroom, she noticed Amity's amber eyes, intense and serious, boring a holde in the wall.

"Honey? I'm here!"

Amity snapped back to reality. "Oh, Luz!" she blushed. The contrast between the flush and her skin, which had paled considerably, was unmistakable. It was more blanche than usual which was saying something since the witch was naturally already pale: a telltale sign-of what though? Amity features broke into a graceful beam on seeing her sunshine. "Luz!"

"Amity," Luz said so softly you could easily miss it but not her love. She sat next to her, laying the tray on her spouse's lap and handing her the tea. "Thank you!" the witch chirped, taking a hearty gulp. "Ah!" she sighed, "just what I needed, baby. You know just what to do." Amity looked at her through lidded eyes, coy, head turned yet gazing reverently.

"Of course!" Luz placed a firm yet gentle kiss on Amity's knuckles, on her forehead, anywhere she could reach.

...

Luz's right, though, isn't she? Amity's mind had offered. The witch stopped her teeth brushing and humming for a moment and caught herself staring in the bathroom mirror above the sink. She let that thought be processed. What if-?

Panic was coursing through Amity's body without warning. She gripped the sink slightly. "No, you're being ridiculous." She laughed but to her ears it perhaps sounded a bit hysterical. No, it won't be anything life-changing-will it?

...

"I've been thinking-" Amity trailed off. Luz -who had been totally absorbed into her sketching, tongue out - was now looking up. They were sitting outside on the stone step of the house, enjoying the beautiful, sunny day.

"Hm? A snail for your thoughts, sweet potato?" Luz grinned, putting down her sketchbook and giving her wife her full attention.

Amity turned crimson. How is Luz so wonderful? She placed the book she's been occupying herself with in her lap and took off her reading glasses. Luz always complimented her, telling her she looked elegant and bookish with those specs. "My hot nerd." she had commented, kissing her, leaving Amity bright tomato red.

The witch giggled. "Yes."

Amity faltered. Luz leaned in and clasped her spouse's hands, watching her. Amity exhaled, steadying herself. Clearing her throat, she said, finally, "Maybe it's time to take some days off from work. What do you think?"

Luz dipped her head. "Wise decision, Noceda. Where did that come from?"

She held a loose strand of Amity's hair and tucked it tenderly behind her pointy ear. Amity snickered. "Well, intuition."

Luz gave her a smooch. "Hm. That intuition is correct. Take it easy for a while, okay?" Luz locked eyes with her. "For you." Amity nodded, beaming. She felt so loved and well looked after.

A few days later, Amity was seated in a comfy chair, waiting. Bouncing her legs, she glanced around. Catching herself being jittery, she inhaled mindfully. "Relax, Amity. Everything is going to be alright."

"Mrs Noceda?" a crisp voice called, catching Amity's attention. A tall, older woman marched in, smiling sweetly. "This way, please."

Amity obliged, bowing her head, lips pressed in a thin line. Her mind had blanked, bile sack in her throat as they were about to enter a room with the sign "Examination ward".

"You can lie here, dear." the healer stated kindly as she went over to prepare her things for the procedure.

Amity grunted. Her voice, her words failed her. There was no going back. "What do you mean, Amity?" she asked herself, "it's just a check up!" Or was it?

Sure, they'd talked about the future many times even when they had first began dating as teenagers. They knew they both wanted a family one day. Amity wished for one too however there were moments of doubt due to her early upbringing. This wasn't something totally unexpected but-

"Now then, have you been experiencing any symptoms?"

The healer's voice brought her back to the present. Amity mulled things over for a few seconds. "Yes. I've had strong headaches, though not migraines, thank the Titan! There's been general fatigue, nauseau." She choked.

"It's ok, dear. Don't get yourself worked up." the woman soothed her, rubbing her shoulders. "I'm guessing this is the first time, huh?"

Amity bobbed her head. "Maybe."

The healer laughed. "Alright, child. We're gonna have a closer look now, how's that sound?" Amity consented. The nurse performed a spell circle. "This is the first part. Just calm down."

A familiar sound emerged. "Amity?!"

Amity turned her head so fast the world spun around her momentarily. Luz! The woman in question ran to her. Amity sat up, wanting nothing more than to hug her but also to get away.

"Amity! You're here! I was so worried!" Luz blurted, engulfing her in a bear hug.

"Woah! Easy there, Ames." Luz exclaimed as Amity almost passed out. She pulled away, eyes wide. "You're tense." Luz stated. "What's up? Is everything ok, sweet potato?" she questioned, cupping Amity's face.

Amity willed herself to breathe out. Her chest was constricted. Luz, aware of that, coaxed her wife, taking slow, deep breaths with her.

"Oh, nothing, batata! Just routine!" Amity trilled but her voice shattered from nerves. Oh Titan!

"Mrs Noceda, are you ready to continue?" Eyes falling on Luz, she greeted, "Oh, hello! I'm nurse Adams! And you are?"

Luz was about to introduce herself. Amity saw Luz freeze. "Sweet potato?"

Luz gawped at the sound her ears were picking up. She faced her partner. "Amity? What's happening?"

Should she tell her? What if they weren't ready? What if something went wrong? Amity herself was still registering the situation.

"Is that-a heartbeat?" Luz laughed. "Why am I overacting? That's probably just you, right, Ami?"

The healer gave Amity a certain look. They hadn't know each other for long but there was a mutual agreement on their faces. Luz goggled at her wife. "Amity! You're so clammy, baby! Please don't exert yourself!" Luz exclaimed. She immediately lay her back down gingerly.

"I see you've got a great significant other, Amity! She'll make a great mom just like you!" the doctor smiled warmly.

"Aw, thank you good healer!" Luz chirped, bowing to witch they all chuckled.

Amity grinned yet it was slightly strained. "I'm sorry. This is all just so overwhelming." Amity hid herself behind her hands, close to tears. She didn't even know how she was feeling.

"Don't worry, Amity! I've got you." Luz whispered.

Amity kissed her. Thank you, Luz! Her mind, however, was uneasy, thoughts and heart racing. Tell her? Don't tell her.

Amity inhaled. "Luz-"

"Hang on!" Luz did a comical double take. She stared at everyone. "D-did you just say mother?" Amity, unknowningky, held her breath. The nurse nodded. Luz beamed. "Yes, siree! We're gonna be awesome mamas someday!"

Amity smiled, bashful. Before she could get a word in edgewise, the healer approached them. "Time to carry on with the second part, if you don't object, that is."

The lady summoned another, large spell circle, gold this time and a screen popped up. "So, what are we checking out?" Luz asked bubbly tone, hands rubbing together before holding Amity's.

Time stopped. "Wait! Is it-?" Luz stopped. Color drained her tanned face. It came to her all at once, struggling to process.

"Luz?!"

Luz was working her mouth. Facing her, she spluttered, "Amity?! You're-" Before she could finish her sentence, she was falling back.

"Luz!"

"Stay calm, Amity! I've got this!" the nurse stated, holding a palm out. Smirking, she said, whilst reviving her. "Believe it or not, I've dealt with many such reactions." She was full of confidence and care that you couldn't help but trust her. Amity grinned. "Thank you."

"My pleasure!" She beamed at her. They looked down. Luz was grunting. "W-what happened?" Luz jolted. "Amity??" Luz started crying. "I don't believe it!"

Amity's eyes welled up. She caressed her Latinas's face."Luz-I'm-I don't know what to say, I-I know this wasn't planned- and-oh, Luz!" Amity's words were tumbling out of her. She eyed Luz with adoration. Amity's bile sack pumped through her ears, drowning out all sound. It was now or never. "How do you feel about this-?"

Luz's smile stretched her whole face, her huge eyes becoming even bigger and more starry. Amity's breath hitched. Did Luz want this?

Before confirming or denying this, Luz collapsed again. "Luz!" Amity blurted, rushing to her.

"It's okay! This can happen sometimes." the healer replied, good naturedly.

Amity couldn't handle it anymore. She rolled back, completely overwhelmed. Moments later, it seemed, her eyes fluttered opened. "Hot dang! What's goin' on here?"

Eda.

She ran and immediate helped the lavender and auburn haired witch up gradually with an unsteady smile. The Owl Lady was choking up already.

"Luz is still out cold?" Eda asked soothingly, placing smelling salts under her daughter's nose. causing Luz to stir fast . Her eyes opened.

"Luz." Eda breathed in relief, grin never leaving her lips.

"Batata?" Amity questioned, running her hands through her dark curls.

"Mm?" That's nice."

Eda chuckled. "You both had me worried there for a moment, kiddos." she booped their noses tenderly causing them to fall into a fit of giggles.

"Hey Owl Mama." Luz said.

...

Amity was sobbing.

"Sweet potatoes? What is it?" Luz asked, rolling over and wrapping herself around her wife. Eda, hearing the sound, strode up.

"Boots! Why are you crying, hon?" Eda knelt beside her children, rubbing soothing circles on the lavender and auburn haired witch's back.

"I don't know what to do!" Amity bawled, burying her face in Luz's sweater. Inhaling her spouse's scent, her breathing eased considerably. "There's the smile I remember!" Luz quipped, kissing Amity. The witch gave a tinkly laugh, causing Luz to catch her breath.

"Lovebirds." Eda said gently, caressing her kids. "Come to mama owl!" she said, engulfing them in a careful bear hug, her hands resting on her daughter-in-law's stomach.

Luz teared up. "Aw, Eda!"

Amity remained tense. "Mom, what are you doing?"

Eda gazed at Luz and Amity in adorarion. "Aw, come on! What does it look like? Can't I show my kids and grandkid some love? Hot dang! Never thought I'd ever say that! Scratch that, never thought I'd ever be a mama, and now?"

Amity's lower lip wobbled. She started to wail again.

Eda petted Amity sadly, her and Luz's heart and bile sack breaking. Stringbean, Ghost, Hooty, and King dashed to them and cuddled up close to their middles. "Thanks, everyone!" Amity sniffed, as Luz brushed away her tears.

"Of course, sweet potatoss! We're here for you!" Luz said full of love, kissing her again.

"After all this time, I still can't make up my mind!" she said in a higher pitched voice, raising her hands in frustration. Luz nodded. Eda sighed.

"Kid, it's ok. Take your time. There's no rush. I can understand this is driving you crazy but it doesn't have to be that way. It all comes down to whether you both want to see it to the end or-"

"I know! I can't give it away but the idea of keeping it- I don't know if I'm ready. Am I good enough?"

"Boots, there's no perfect timing. You won't necessarily be prepared and 100% ready for it all every time and that's alright. Heck, you think I was ready when all you crazy kids came along? I still doubt myself as a mama to this day, but has this stopped me? Hot dang, no! No way, Jose! No, siree! However, it's entirely up to you two, like I said! No pressure though, ok?"

"Cheers!" Amity said genuinely with tears in her eyes. After some time, she was continuing, "I- I think I want to do this but I still have conflicting emotions."

"That's expected, Amity," Eda replied gently, placing a boney hand on her shoulder, eyeing her affectionately. Amity never thought she'd bond with a wild witch never mind have her as a mother but here they were!

"It's not just because it seems so real but-" Amity gazed down. Luz and Eda's face darkened. "Well, you have us now, Boots, okay?" Eda reassured her, eyes not leaving her daughter-in-law's, hand still a gentle pressure on the young woman's shoulder. Amity couldn't stop smiling.

Later that night, the couple rested in each others arms, their children between them.

"I've wanted this for a while -even though I had suppressed this side growing up, due to what happened, -but," Amity clasped Luz's hands, echoing her words from the past, "I know we can do this together!"

"Together!" Luz cried. Eda hadn't meant to eavesdrop on the conversation but she was running back in with everyone and they all hugged Lumity tight. "Woohoo! Us weirdos stick together!" The Owl Lady shouted triumphantly.
