On May △, NHK news was talking about "Tokiwaso in China". This Tokiwa-so (Tokiwa-housing complex) was a lodging house for some of Japan's leading manga artists, and was famous for producing amazing manga artists through friendly rivalry. It seems that China is also aiming for this and is turning high-rise buildings into training grounds for manga artists, but from the point of view of me, who came from a manga club, it seemed that they were only imitating Japanese manga.

５月△日　　　ＮＨＫのニュースで、「中国のトキワ荘」の話題をやっていた。このトキワ荘というのは、後に日本を代表する漫画家たちが下宿していて、切磋琢磨してスゴイ漫画家を輩出して有名なアパート。これを中国も狙って、高層ビルを漫画家の修行の場にしているようでしたが、マンガクラブ出身の私が見るに、日本のマンガの模倣という域を出ていないように見えました。

The Capcom VS. Osamu Tezuka characters art exhibit is back once again!

Titled "CAPCOM VS. Osamu Tezuka Characters - Tezuka Fighting Universe 2" [ CAPCOM VS. 手塚治虫キャラクターズ －テヅカプファイティングユニバース2－ ] in 2024, it will be held at two locations: the Tokiwaso Manga Museum and the Tokiwaso Showa Retro Museum, both located in the Toshima ward of Tokyo, Japan.

The exhibit will be active from July 20, 2024 to November 24, 2024 at both locations.

The artwork on the poster is by official Tezuka Productions artist, Tsunogai.

NEWS: A large Osamu Tezuka event is going to be held at the Tokiwaso manga museum in Japan. The Tokiwaso manga museum is a reconstruction of a two story apartment building many famous mangaka used to live and work in. These artists include Osamu Tezuka, Shotaro Ishinomori, and Fujiko Fujio to name a few. The museum opened in 2020, but has opened and closed due to the COVID 19 outbreak. However, it is open as of writing this.

Osamu Tezuka lived in the apartment building from 1953-1954, as such, the merchandising from this event is styled of his art style from the time. It also includes his most famous work from the time. This event will begin on April 4th.

Ouverture aujourd”hui d’un musée du manga reprenant l’architecture du légendaire bâtiment “Tokiwaso” qui a accueilli notamment Osamu Tezuka et d’autres mangakas tout aussi célèbres comme Fujiko F. Fujio, le papa de “Doraemon”. Le Tokiwaso crée en 1952 avait été détruit en 1982 du fait de son état de délabrement. 38 ans plus tard, la légende renaît enfin.

Love Live! Nijigasaki & Superstar!!, BELLE, Super Cub Newly Join Japan's 88-Site Anime Pilgrimage 2022 Edition

    The Anime Tourism Association announced the selection of the anime spots for the Japan Anime Tourism 88-Stop Pilgrimage's 2022 edition at a presentation held at Belle Salle Kudan in Tokyo on December 15.

  The organization was established in September 2016 to select and formalize the "Anime Pilgrimage Sites," the real locations in Japan featured in Japanese anime, based on the online poll by Japanese and foreign anime fans. Last year, due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition was listed as the 2021 edition as it was, but this year, from the end of June to November 30, web voting and real voting with ballot boxes set up in selected anime pilgrimage sites were conducted. Then, the 2022 edition was selected after discussions with the rights holders and local governments based on the results of these votes.

  A total of 142 sites were selected this time, including 116 sites appearing in 88 anime works and 26 facilities where anime-related events were held. 21 sites were newly added in the 2022 edition.

84 year old Mari Shimizu, the original voice actress for Atom in Astro Boy (1963 Astro Boy series, 1980 Astro Boy series), with an autograph signed for a fan at a book cafe called Furuichi Tokiwaso-dori. This picture was taken on April 9, 2021.

متحف جديد لفن المانغا في طوكيو 

   أعلنت هيئة السياحة بالعاصمة اليابانية طوكيو عن افتتاح متحف جديد لفن القصص المصورة الشهير المعروف باسم “مانغا”، وأوضحت الهيئة أن المتحف Tokiwaso Manga Museum الجديد عبارة عن مبنى تم تشييده بحيث يكون صورة طبق الأصل من منزل السكن المشترك لمجموعة من فناني المانغا المشهورين، والذين عاشوا وأبدعوا فيه خلال الفترة من 1950 و1980. 

جدير بالذكر أن دخول المتحف Tokiwaso Manga Museum الجديد مجاني.
