aaron totally panicking at seeing his secret partner (reader) as a witness or being involved in a gruesome crime and just abandoning his duty to rush to her side and comfort her. 💗
like imagine reader is having an attack after witnessing our unsub in the interrogation room and aaron noticing it's his love when he reads the case file and running across the precinct to hug her!!!!
i all honesty i just need some minor angst and MAJOR fluff but i hope this doesn't inconvenience you <3
love youu <33333
the other side
i took this in a small different direction but the main idea is there you're a genius <333 wc; 1.1k cw; blood description (nothing too graphic), panicked reader, soft aaron, hurt to comfort
if aaron could have it his way, you would never know the true horrors of the world, or more specifically the sadistic people within it. and while that wasn't entirely possible, he would do whatever it takes to keep you away from it.
that's what he told himself every morning, either with you asleep next to him or when he awoke states away, when he questioned why he continually chose to take on the wickedness of human behavior.
not only because it was who he was, not only to help others, but his need to prevent it from reaching you. or jack. if he couldn't rid of it completely, at least he could partially control it.
in return there wasn't much you knew about his job - well, you knew, but he spared you the specifics.
and so, the very last thing he expected to see was you walking into the bullpen, escorted by a detective. a shock stricken expression plastered on your face. your shirt littered with small dots of red.
shit.
"excuse..." aaron spoke to the team, not even completing his sentence as he beelined straight towards you, whatever he was preoccupied with long forgotten.
your name left him in a breath as he approached you, still in disbelief you were here, followed by an "are you hurt?"
you clutched onto his forearm immediately, your fingers gripping onto the fabric of his suit jacket. you acknowledged him. you recognized it was him. you heard him, but you didn't hear him.
"hey, sweetheart." he tried again, his tone of voice on the desperate side. "are you hurt?"
"no. it's not mine." you finally breathed out, tears lining your eyes. "i was just, standing there and, and..."
"okay, that's okay." aaron nodded his head towards the agent, silently indicating he had it from here. he took ahold of your hands. they were trembling. "you're okay now. i have you."
"i- i just..."
"i know sweetheart. i know." he said soothingly, squeezing your hands to get you to look at him. what he was met with, shattered his heart into two. "c'mon, let's get you cleaned up.
he's never seen your eyes like that.
still clutching onto your hand, aaron led you up into his office to retrieve his go-bag - by no means was he about to leave you alone, or out of his sight for that matter - then back out and into the nearest bathroom. he was working at a hurried pace, eager to get you away from everything for a moment.
he escorted you swiftly inside, shutting the door behind the both of you.
once you heard the click of the lock, you let out the smallest breath of relief, thankful for the sudden solitude.
more than anything aaron wanted to pull you into his embrace, to provide the comfort he knew you needed. not only was he not sure if you were okay with being touched right now, if it would just be too much, but also due to the blood on your shirt.
so he did what he could, taking your hands into his.
"are you sure you're not hurt?" he could've asked if you were alright, but he didn't find a reason to, he knew you weren't. in addition, he needed the confirmation you were unharmed one more time.
you nodded, leaning against the edge of the counter.
"here, i'm going to take your shirt off." he looked at you, his brown eyes gentle with caution. "is that alright?"
again you responded with a short nod, instantly reaching for the hem of your shirt yourself.
he pushed your hands away softly, pulling your shirt over your head for you. your hands were still shaking, and he wanted to do it for you, to take care of you.
he set it aside, in case it were to be needed for evidence.
next, and thankfully, his bag also contained a washcloth. he was quick to soak it with warm water, beginning to gingerly wipe away any specks of red he could find.
although there wasn't much blood on your skin, aaron had a solid understanding of what you were feeling. once someone's own made contact with your skin, the sensation was incredibly difficult to get rid of, or simply felt permanent for a day or two.
he would make sure you would take a more thorough shower at home later, but for the meantime, he wanted to make you feel as clean and comfortable as possible.
once he was finished, he guided your arms into the sleeves of his spare shirt (which also happened to be your favorite, he always made sure to pack that one specifically to feel closer to you while away). he purposely took his time buttoning it to a close, not wanting to rush you back out there.
"i'm so sorry." his thumb and pointer fingered fiddled with a button as he spoke.
confusion arose on your face, replacing the persistent panic. "why're you sorry?"
once he finished the last one, analyzing your hands, turning them over despite the fact he was confident nothing still littered your body. "that you witnessed this."
"it's okay." you timidly offered, not convincing in the slightest.
"it's not. no." he couldn't take it any longer - pulling you into his arms. the contact finally slowed his rapid heartbeat, while you immediately melted into his chest, as if nothing could hold you up anymore. "what can i do?"
"just hold me." you mumbled into his chest, your arms tightening around his middle.
the two of you stood like that for a moment, aaron's hand taking strides along your back. he also placed a kiss behind your ear, the one spot he could currently reach.
"i just want to keep you safe."
"i know. and you do. and it's okay if you can't all the time."
he sighed, brief defeat in his voice. "i can try."
your embrace on him only tightened more.
he loosened his hold, still keeping his arms around you but being able to see your face. he let out a heavy breath, hesitant with his next question. "are you okay with being questioned?"
you wavered, silently contemplating for a moment. no, you weren't, but looking at aaron in front of you, the man you loved, changed your mind in an instant. if this was what he dealt with on the daily, you could be brave. you could be brave like him, for him.
you nodded slowly, your voice cracking mid-sentence. "will you be..."
"i'll be right there with you." he confirmed your thought immediately, placing a kiss to your forehead. "i'll be right there. we'll do this together."

Unexpected Ch 9
Tumblr media
Warnings: Language, arguments, liz being a bit of a cold hearted bitch, people being outed in a courtroom.
The next case that SVU picked up came directly through you, a 10 year old girl who you’d treated a few times throughout her journey through foster care had called you in a panic, immediately making you the outcry witness to her sexual assault. You’d immediately collected her from down the block from the foster family’s house, calling Benson to meet you at Mercy. She was so shaken up and distraught by the entire thing Casey wasn’t sure that she’d be able to withhold going on the stand, especially once she found out Buchanan had taken up the defence. He wasn’t one to be kind during cross, even to young traumatized victims, they’d at least been able to use her recorded confession in the Grand Jury to get the indictment.
In turn though, it meant that you were taking the stand, both as her therapist and the outcry witness. Casey had made sure to take you through everything, not that she was worried, she knew you were always calm and collected, she simply hoped the length of history you had with the girl wouldn’t affect your emotional grounding. You assured her that with your mother residing as judge, you weren’t about to step a toe out of line. Casey finished with her questioning, turning you over to Buchanan, got you hated how much of a disgrace he was, at least Rita had some sense to her tactics.
“Hannah had been coming to me intermittently over the past 3 years whenever she moved foster homes, she always had trouble adjusting to the new environment and it helped to keep a sense of stability in her life.”
“Did she have trouble adjusting into the Macmillan household?”
“At first, yes. It was always a bit of a struggle, she’d just come from a home with no other children and the Macmillan’s had three other boys in their care at the time. I had a few sessions with her until she felt comfortable in the house.”
“So why a year later are we hearing about abuse going on there? And why have none of the other children come forward?”
“Hannah called me the night of the assault. If anything had happened before that night it wasn’t deemed as much of a threat by her. My assessment as to the other children being treated normally is that they’re all boys. The Macmillan’s foster care files show that Hannah is the first girl they’ve cared for, Mr Macmillan seems to only have a soft spot for little girls.”
“Did you actually talk to the other children?”
“No, but the detectives did.”
“Were you there to witness the conversations?”
“No. I read the reports.”
“So you have no idea what the boys said.”
“I read the reports.” You repeated. You knew Buchanan was trying to get you fired up, your voice may have hardened but it didn’t raise, growing up with two lawyers had taught you the proper way to bargain, and when the right time was to really fight back.
“And in the detectives reports is states that Hannah only complained of my client forcibly touching her, where as you’ve been saying that he raped her.”
“That’s what she told me at the original outcry and the rape kit found hair and DNA.”
“DNA that could have been from his skin cells on his hands.”
“Yes, but the chances that the outcry statement was not true are slim to none.”
“So your statement is the truth.”
“Yes.” You felt your jaw tighten slightly.
“You’re not just telling us what Ms Novak wants you to?”
“Objection!” She called.
“Sustained. Get to the point Mr Buchanan.”
“So you’re saying you wouldn’t lie for Ms Novak?”
“No…” You were cut off by her calling another objection, the frustration clear in her voice, though she remained sitting. Buchanan simply looked to you waiting for you to continue. “I’m telling the truth. I have no reason to say anything other than that.”
“The defence has reason to doubt that, and reason to believe that you’re alternating Hannah’s statement in order for my client to take the fall and thus Ms Novak to get another win.” Your brows were furrowed, completely confused as to what he was getting at. “Your Honour, I present defence five.” He pulled out a piece of poster board, once it was flipped around you could see the front, a series of blown of photos of you and Casey all taken from a distance, but very clearly the two of you. The last one was a very intimate kiss. Fuck.
“OBJECTION!” Casey was on her feet now, she was more worried about you right now than anything else, Buchanan was scum for dragging you like this while you were on the stand just at a feeble attempt for a mistrial. Before she could even get the word fully out there was a bang of a gavel, Liz’s voice steely as ice ringing through the courtroom.
“I’m calling a continuance for Monday,” Turning to the defence, “Put that away. Counsellors!” She shot you a glare, “And you, my chambers NOW!”
Somehow you seemed to be the least affected by the entire thing so far, following Liz into her chambers like you were going for a coffee date, internally you were absolutely seething at Buchanan. Casey felt like she was 15 again being called to the principal’s office, hell even Buchanan was more than a little worried, Donnelly could be more than intimidating. Once the door was shut behind John, Liz tossed her robe over the back of her chair, turning to the three of you with absolute rage written across her face.
“What in the HELL do any of you think you’re doing parading like this through my courtroom?”
“Mom, please that’s not what’s happen—“
“WATCH yourself young lady!” Out of pure instinct you rolled your eyes, replying in a mocking voice
“Oh…my bad, sorry your honour.” You missed the terrified glances at you from both of the lawyers in the room, even Buchanan wouldn’t dare sass Elizabeth Donnelly back.
“May I remind you that until you leave this office you are still under oath!” You smartened up at that. You were so used to being in her chambers to drop of lunch, coffee or forgotten files. Hell you’d spent hours doing homework in either her or Rita’s offices over the years.
“Buchanan that was a low blow, even for you.” She rounded on him next, “I thought you would have some amount of respect for the LGBT community and think before outing two people in my courtroom at a feeble attempt at a mistrial.” You could nearly see the man shrinking at her words, “That being said, Novak you’re off the case, pass it to Cabot. Along with anything else you have open, you’re out for the next two weeks.” She swung back over to Buchanan, “Out, now.”
“Your Honour…” Casey weakly began, wanting to save you from any amount of yelling that she could.
“Save it. Right now she’s the one I want to hear from, remember you can’t lie to me.” She crossed her arms across her chest, lips in a tight line.
“That is completely unfair and an abuse of power.”
“I will throw you in contempt.” You groaned, rolling your eyes, knowing she wasn’t kidding.
“Fine.” You stood your ground, hands on hips, you’d been battling it out with her for years and you weren’t about to stop now. “What’s the question?” Liz contemplated for a moment, looking between you and Casey, who in turn felt incredibly awkward and felt like she could hear her heart pounding in her chest.
“What exactly is going on with you and Casey?”
“She’s my girlfriend.” Casey was beyond impressed with how strong you were holding up, there wasn’t even a hint of a quiver in your voice.
“Excuse me? Since when?!”
“The Seagate gala that you dragged me to.” You challenged back, cocking a brow at your mother.
“That was nearly nine months ago!!” She half changed her focus to Casey, keeping on both of you, “Did you seriously think this was a good idea?! She is fourteen years younger than you Casey!”
“What?!” That, was news to the both of you, you’d discussed birthdays but somehow actual age hadn’t come up.
“What do you mean what?! Did you even speak before you jumped into bed together? I expected far better from both of you, and choosing not to disclose? COMPLETELY irresponsible, it could have cost both of you your jobs and you’re damn lucky it didn’t today!”
“Mom! Please!” She shot you a glare, “Oh for fucks sake can we be done with the legalities? Casey had no idea who I was when we met, she didn’t know until the first Manhattan trial I testified for.”
“Is that true?”
“Yes. Elizabeth, believe me, this isn’t something that means nothing. I’ll admit it was completely idiotic to not disclose, especially once Y/N was full time with the NYPD.”
“I’ll say.” She turned back to you, “I’m calling Benson about this I hope you know.”
“She’s not even technically my boss! I’ll do the paperwork myself!” Liz was about to rebottle when the door to her office opened, she was ready to yell Buchanan out of there again, but arguing their way through the door jam were Alex and Rita. They stopped when they realized all the attention was on them, feeling the tension in the air and taking in the office’s 3 occupants, Rita quickly grabbed Alex’s wrist.
“Ohoho…we’ll come back later.”
“Like hell you will Calhoun get in here!” These two were even worse at hiding their expressions. “You two KNEW about this didn’t you?” Alex simply sputtered, having no idea how to deal with the situation. Rita rolled her eyes,
“What’d’you think? I’ve been keeping her goddamn secrets for nearly twenty years.” That earned her a glare.
“You didn’t think to say anything? Maybe tell her it wasn’t ideal?”
“Liz when have I ever told her something like that?”
“You know, it’s no wonder she ended up so chaotic…” Liz turned back to you and Casey, “Get the hell out of my sight.” You were quick to scurry from the office, Liz didn’t miss the way you grabbed at Casey’s hand, tugging her close to you as you left. Pinching the bridge of her nose, completely pent up she turned to the counsellors, “What do you need?”
***
Both Casey and you stayed completely silent the entire way out of the courthouse, she’d briefly stopped to collect her things from the courtroom (thankfully now empty) you’d made it nearly three blocks (your hands not dropping the entire time) before you gently spoke.
“I’m sorry…” She could hear the shake in your voice, when she looked over at you you refused to look up from the sidewalk and she knew you were attempting to hide your teary eyes. Casey stopped, tugging your hand so you’d follow her off the street into the corner of a pathway in Columbus Park. Her thumb raised your chin to meet her eyes, watery ones meeting her glassy ones.
“You have nothing to be sorry for. You’re the one that got a strip torn off you, Jesus..”
“She’s my Mom, that’s not the first time I’ve gotten it that bad from her. Besides, you got suspended!”
“I should’ve disclosed…that’s my own fault.”
“But in part weren’t you stalling to protect me?” Her thumb swiped at a runaway tear on your cheek.
“I guess I was.” Letting out a shaky sigh she continued, “Well I’ve got two weeks to figure it out anyways.” You accepted the embrace, sinking into her arms, feeling the anxiety calming to an ease as your heartbeat regulated, pumping in perfect time with hers. Casey’s lips gently brushed against your head before she pulled away. “You okay?”
“I will be.” You gave her a weak smile, “That was just..a lot..really fast.”
“I know.” She kissed your cheek, linking your fingers again before you continued walking. A few blocks of quiet before she spoke again, “Was she serious about that age range?” You gave her a half smile,
“Depends on her math I guess.. I’m 28…” Casey’s head shook in surprise,
“I definitely thought you were early to mid 30’s” You laughed lightly,
“It’s the whole therapist thing, people say I come off more mature than I am. I graduated early, and…have connections.”
“Well her math was right…” Her voice was quiet, which made you panic slightly, voice wavering slightly as you spoke again,
“Is..that a deal breaker for you?” She laughed,
“Baby if anything was a deal breaker it would’ve been you being a Donnelly.” Gently, she tugged you to the side of the sidewalk, giving you a gentle kiss, “I’ll never stop loving you.”
“If you think I’m going anywhere you’re crazy…” Your lips met again, interrupted by your phone, you groaned, answering it. “What?” You’d expected your Mom, ready to chew your ear off again.
“So, you bringing her to dinner Sunday or what?” Fucking Rita, you could hear Alex laughing in the background.
“I swear to God Rita, I will kill you one of these days. You better have gotten an earful too.”
“Oh we did. Cabot here nearly cried, and I’m not kidding.” That at least gave you a little bit of a chuckle. Things certainly hadn’t come out how any of you had wanted, but at least it was out in the open. You were long past asking or permission, now it was time to get any amount of forgiveness

A Kansas City man is accused of holding another man he met over the dating app Grindr hostage for hours inside a downtown hotel room before robbing him and then trying to kidnap him.
Irakoze Jackson, 22, was charged Saturday in Jackson County Circuit Court with first-degree robbery, kidnapping, trafficking stolen identities and two counts of armed criminal action. He was being held in the Jackson County jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond following his arrest.
His attorney has not responded to a request for comment.
Around 3:45 a.m. on Feb. 11, the Friday before Valentine’s Day, Kansas City police officers were called to the Loews Hotel at 1515 Wyandotte Avenue in the Power & Light District, according to charging documents filed in the case. There they met a man who said he had been tied up and held at gunpoint by a stranger.
The victim, a Utah resident, told detectives he was visiting Kansas City on business when he decided to check out the local scene on Grindr, a dating app popular among gay people. He exchanged messages with a man who went by “D” and invited him to his hotel room.
The alleged kidnapper arrived around 11 p.m. and knocked on the door. Once inside he started to push the victim around “under the pretense he was into kink,” the charging document says. Then he allegedly showed a gun.
The victim told police he was forced to strip and then was tied up with charger cords. The alleged gunman searched through the room and found his wallet with $600 and credit cards inside. He then allegedly forced the victim to transfer money into Venmo and CashApp accounts, according to court papers.
Afterward, the victim told police, the man called up two associates to meet at the hotel so they could kidnap him.
Surveillance video from inside the hotel allegedly showed the suspect, identified as Jackson, escorting the victim at gunpoint through the hotel. When they reached the lobby the victim ran toward the front desk, screaming for help and for staff to call 911, according to court papers.
Roughly four weeks later, Jackson was arrested for allegedly eluding police during an attempted vehicle stop. Inside a black Dodge Charger investigators found six credit cards that belonged to the victim.
The victim was shown a photo lineup, where he said he was 85 to 90% sure Jackson was the person who robbed him, according to court papers. He was arrested by Riverside police Saturday.
Police also collected DNA swabs from electronic devices the suspect allegedly touched during the hotel room encounter. Court records show a search warrant was granted for Jackson’s DNA on Saturday, though it remained unclear whether any comparison tests had been completed as of Wednesday.

1. Understand the mechanism of death.
Every human dies because the central nervous system gets unplugged. This happens in many ways, but primarily either the cardiopulmonary system stops, which tells the brain to shut down, or the brain stops, which tells the heart and lungs to give up.
In reality, this is harder to accomplish than it sounds, and it’s human nature not to check out without a fight. So people are actually hard to kill. A bullet to the head is effective, but stabbings, for instance, are time-consuming, difficult, and messy. Poisons are slow, strangling is tough, and folks just don’t stand there while being axed. So when you write the “perfect murder scene,” think about how realistically you kill your victim.
2. Understand time of death.
I’ve read (and seen on the screen) moments in which the coroner/pathologist declares the victim dead at a specific time, such as 10:05 pm. Uh . . . no—not unless someone was there with a stopwatch. Many mortis factors are considered when estimating time of death. Temperature is the biggie, followed by body mass.
A dead body will naturally adjust temperature (algor) to achieve equilibrium with its surroundings and will display time-telling factors, such as muscle stiffening (rigor), blood settling (livor), color (palor), and tissue breakdown (decomp). The presence of toxins also effects body changes. Cocaine amplifies the mortis process, while carbon monoxide retards it. Be careful in getting your forensic guru to commit on specific time.
3. Understand scene access.
Crime scenes are tightly secured. Absolutely no one goes in unless they’re necessary, and then they’ll wear complete personal protective equipment (PPE) to avoid contaminating the scene or themselves. This business of a gumshoe detective in a trench coat, smoking a cigar and leaning over the body, doesn’t happen. Neither does a fifteen-year-old sleuth tagging along to help solve the case.
4. Get the terminology right.
I see writers get basic terms wrong, and it’s the little mistakes that seriously affect credibility. For example, calling a 9mm pistol a “revolver” or saying the body was “prone” on its back on the floor. So much is available through Internet searches or, better yet, having beta readers pick up on errors. Remember: check what you write.
5. Crime-lab results are not so quick.
Processing crime scene evidence is a cumbersome, frustrating, and time-consuming event. First of all, yours is not the only case the lab has, and it will sit in queue to get developed. You’ll probably get bumped to the back of the bus by more urgent files and it could be months before your DNA profile comes in. And, no, a phone call from the scene to your buddy in the lab is not going to speed things up. He’d probably get canned for playing favorites.
6. Don’t get creative with investigational aids.
Most writers fail to consider the multitude of resources used in criminal investigations. DNA is today’s darling, followed by AFIS (the Automated Fingerprint Identification System). Don’t just write in the usual things like forensic autopsies, toxicology, ballistic matching, and document examination. Expand your story by using informants, wiretaps, room bugs and wires, polygraphs, undercover operators, police agents, hypnosis memory enhancement, psychological profiling, computer analyzing, satellite surveillance, and one that’s a real bugger—entomology. Stay away from using psychics, though. I’ve never heard of a case in which psychic information was anything other than a wild goose chase. I think psychics are as toxic to a believable story as a “dream” ending.
7. Use the five senses.
The best page-turners happen when you connect with your reader’s senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. This seems to be the key to pulling off the show-over-tell thing. I keep a little sticky note on the bottom of my screen to remind me to make the most of the senses in each scene—it sure helps in editing.
Smell is the strongest link to emotional connection. It’s one thing to see gruesome photos of a gut-shot corpse, but once you’ve actually whiffed a maggot-crawling, gassing-off decomp, you’ll never forget it. Try writing out that sock-puking stench. Show the detective dumpstering his $500 leather jacket because the putrefaction permeated the calf-skin pores, and dry cleaning it just made it stink worse. True story—happened to me.
8. Craft believable dialog.
Be honest. Cops and crooks swear like sailors, and that’s the reality of the crime world. And some of the most foul-mouthed friends I have are females. One lady pathologist used to slip in some beauts while dictating and dissecting. Fortunately, her assistant was a good editor and covered her butt in reports.
There’s a balance, though. If every fourth word is four letters, it’ll get a little overpowering, but none at all is unrealistic. I read a prominent crime writer’s best seller on a recommendation. I picked up right away that something wasn’t quite right. Then I came to the part where a character had to use profanity—no way around it to be true to the character—and the author wrote it as ‘F@#*!’. I quit reading and I’m sure others did too.
9. Create compelling characters.
Something that’s as true as the fact that you’re going to flush the toilet before bedtime—the best cops and crooks have vibrant personalities. And they’re not entirely good or bad either. One of the Hell’s Angels I know should be a stand-up comedian, and a fellow coroner, who looks like frump-woman, is like travelling with Yoda. She has a terrible drinking problem, though, and sleeps with her incontinent ferret.
10. Understand the science of story.
I can’t stress this enough. There’s every much a science behind storytelling as there is in doing autopsies. Why readers stay up—and can’t put novel down—is that writers work words that release endorphins in the reader’s brain. One book that all writers, not just crime-writers, MUST read is Wired for Story by Lisa Cron. I promise you’ll never look at storytelling the same.

Windows 7/8/10 are capable of running emulators.
You should have a PC which supports android emulators.
In this case we will be using an Android Emulator, which will have an interface and work like an android phone or tablet. In any case you can follow it.Īs there is no PC version of Clash Royale, you need to play this game through an emulator. The issue can also be that the game doesn’t run on your mobile phone. It maybe because you like playing on a bigger screen or your mobile phone doesn’t have enough space or you want to make it multi-platform for yourself. There can be multiple reasons for playing on your computer. If you want to play on PC then follow this article. But unfortunately, PC players are not able to play it as these games are not launched on PC. Players from both platforms can play cross matches too. After entering the game, these cards will appear in your hand in a random form. Players can arrange their own cards and bring up to eight cards into the game before each game starts. These games are available on all mobile devices and tablets, whether IOS or Android. Clash Royale Online is an online game and 55.13 of 415 players like the game. I would avoid any so-called PC versions out there right now as it is likely to be a fake or worse.Supercell is famous for their mobile games Clash of Clans and Clash Royale. Even though there are dozens of websites out there purporting to offer that very thing, this is purely a mobile game. PC versions of Clash RoyaleĪs far as I know, there is no official PC version of Clash Royale. Google is your friend there, just watch your sources.
#Can you play clash royale on computer apk
If you use ARChon, you may have to download the APK file for Clash Royale to get it working. Just perform the same steps above in Andy to play the game. ARChon is a Chrome extension that lets you run Android APKs from within the browser.
#Can you play clash royale on computer full
Andy is a full emulator that works just like Bluestacks. Bluestacks isn’t free and costs a couple of dollars a month to use so if you would prefer a free version, try Andy or ARChon. Bluestacks works exactly the same way.īluestacks is a very reliable Android emulator but there are others that do the same job if you prefer. Install Clash Royale as you normally would on your phone.Access the Play Store from within Bluestacks and search for Clash Royale.Download and install Bluestacks onto your PC.It is a reasonable download, installs quickly, doesn’t use too many resources and doesn’t interfere with other applications. To get it working on your computer you will need a mobile emulator. The game arenas are designed for portrait format so don’t expect full screen, but the larger screen may work better for some players. Even though Clash Royale is a mobile game, you can play it on a PC.

Summary: Spencer thinks Y/N is an innocent, naive girl until a case reveals her extracurricular activities.
Spencer had been back from jail for 2 months when he first met her.
At first he didn’t think anything of her, other than the faint smell of vanilla and daisy as she walked past him in the bullpen and the bright smile that seemed to take up half her face. She was carrying files close to her chest like a schoolgirl late to class and the skirt of her white dress bellowed softly behind her as she made her way to Emily’s office.
“Who is that?” He had asked.
Luke looked up to where Spencer’s gaze was. “Oh, that’s Y/N, she's a tech analyst helping Penelope out right now. She’s sweet, you’ll like her.”
It doesn’t take Spencer long after that to decide he, in fact, does not like you. There was nothing wrong with you. Luke was right, you were sweet, almost sickeningly so. It was like you had no concept of reality. You lived in this world of all sunshine and good things despite the horror that crossed your screen daily. And while Penelope was the same, she at the very least knew how bad the world could be and chose to see the good in it. You didn’t, it was like you’d never had a single bad thing happen to you. And Spencer, who had been dealt the bad hand so many times in life hated that.
It also didn’t help that you were gorgeous too. You looked like an artist sculpted you himself to make the perfect woman. Real People weren’t supposed to look like that. Real people were supposed to have flaws and blisters. Real people were supposed to look tired so early in the morning not fully awake and smiling while handing everyone in the office a coffee. He didn’t understand how you could be real.
“Here you go, Spencer. Americano lots of sugar.” You said, placing the coffee on his desk.
“Thank you.” He mumbles.
“We have a case, by the way.” You giggle, going off to hand Luke his coffee before walking away to the conference room. Spencer was barely able to keep his eye roll at bay.
Luke sees that and laughs, clapping Spencer on the back. “Come on, kid. Play nice.”
“She’s giggling about a murder case.” Spencer grumbles before following him into the conference room.
“3 women have been murdered in Queens. Judging by the scars, they were all bound and strangled before finally being dumped in an alley.” Garcia says, as she goes through the slides, showing the crime scenes. “Police need our help finding the connection between these three women because right now, it looks like there is none.”
“I’d say.” Tara speaks up. “We have a waitress/student, a doctor, and a paralegal. All living in different areas of the city with virtually no reason to interact.”
Spencer looks down at his file, examining the picture when he notices something. Just as he opens his mouth to say something, you clear your throat.
“Umm, Emily?” You say from your seat right across from Spencer. Emily looks up inquisitively at you. “I think I know what connects them.”
“What’s that, Y/N?” Emily asks, raising a brow at her.
You clear your throat again. “Victim #2, Rebecca Belfront, has a Padlock collar necklace on in her second picture. That’s typically used to indicate she’s a submissive with a committed dominant partner. But she wasn’t wearing it when her body was found which makes me think that that relationship recently ended. That made me look at the marks on their arms. While there are some new ones from the murders, they all have faded marks around the wrist and body as well. Leads me to believe the bounding was er-... consensual. We should probably look into New York’s BDSM scene.” You close, smiling awkwardly.
Spencer looks at you in shock. He, of course, had come to the same conclusion you did and had been about to say that but he, at least, knew why he knew that. Why did you know that?
Emily hummed thoughtfully. “It’s worth looking into. Do you mind coming to NY with us? Your insight might be needed.”
You look kind of shocked at that but nod. “Of course, whatever I can do to help.” You say, softly.
“Great, Wheels up in 30.” She says, getting up, effectively ending the meet. Spencer watches you speed after her, files in hand to ask some more questions. Spencer’s walking back to his desk when Luke catches up with him.
“Y/N has a dark side. Who knew?” He says, smirking.
“Probably not.” Spencer muses. “She could’ve just known that. I mean, I  just know stuff sometimes too.”
“Nah, I don’t think so. Her body language gave her away. She was flushing and stuttering sure, but she was confident in what she was saying. Almost as if, she was speaking from experience.” Luke laughs. “She may be all lollipops and candy bars here, but I bet behind closed doors, she’s handcuffs and gags.”
Spencer hums. “Maybe.” He says looking up to watch you walk back across the catwalk from Prentiss’ office. Luke was right though, your body language did give you completely away that you were talking from experience. Spencer couldn’t help but wonder just how much.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
When you arrive in New York, You head straight from the jet to the Police Station in Queens. You fiddle with your thumbs a bit, you are nervous.
“You ok?” Spencer says, from his spot in front of the bulletin board he was setting up. You were supposed to be helping him but you knew Spencer was particular about some things so you let him do it. In fact, there were a lot of things you’d let Spencer do. With you, to you, you weren’t picky. The man was gorgeous enough to make you nervous. With his lean muscles, long, fluffy hair, and large hands, he looked like something that walked right out of a wet dream of yours. Which sometimes, he was just that. You weren’t stupid though, you knew Spencer didn’t think of you that way. In fact, you didn’t think Spencer thought of you in any way. He seemed to ignore you anyway he could.
You look up from your laptop. “Oh yea, I’m fine. I’m just...nervous. I’ve never been in the field.”
“Chances are you won’t be, Emily will probably keep you in the Station if she can help it.” Spencer provides.
“I know, it’s just-- you know what I mean.” You say, Spencer nods before returning to the bulletin board. You stand to look at the map with him. “So, from what I was able to find there’s only 3 BDSM clubs in Queens but there’s only one in the middle of where the three women were found. Place called Cat’s Cradle.”
Spencer hums. “How complicated and unpredictable the machinery of life really is.” You look up at the man, recognizing the quote.
“There is love enough in this world for everybody, if people will just look.” You say back, shrugging.
“You read Vonnegut?” He asks.
“You said that like you’re more surprised that I can read than what I read being Vonnegut.” You say, Spencer shrugs not even denying it. God, he was such a dick sometimes. A hot dick, but a dick nonetheless.
The two of you turn when you hear a knock at the door to see the lead detective coming in to check on you guys. “Just wanted to see how things were coming along. Also see if you guys needed anything?” Though he only directed the question at you with a sly smirk on his face. Men were so obvious sometimes.
“Nope, we’re fine.” You smile although you didn’t want to. “We’ve narrowed down to a couple BDSM clubs so hopefully we’ll catch our guy soon.”
“Wait, you think these girls were…” He trails off. You nod, knowing what he was thinking. “Well, it probably serves them right.”
“Excuse me?” You say.
“Listen, I know what kind of girls go into those kinds of clubs. If they want to be sexual deviants, they can’t be surprised when shit like this happens to them.” He gestures to the board.
“Actually more women are into Dominant/Submissive as well as BDSM relationships than you would think, statistically 85%.” Spencer cuts him off. “These clubs are just commonplace for them to meet like minded people just like you would do in any other club and they should be put on trial after their deaths for trusting the wrong person. If you don’t mind, we’d like to get back to work, Detective.” He says, turning back towards the board. The man nods and leaves shortly after that.
“Thank you.” You say, softly.
“What for?” Spencer asks.
“Come on, I work with profilers and I’m not stupid. I know you guys know about me so thank you for defending me just now.”
“I wasn’t defending you.” Spencer says. “He was making inappropriate comments about victims and we don’t need that outdated way of thinking working on this case. Besides…” He says, eyes flickering down to your lips and back to your eyes. “You’re not the only one with… unconventional extracurriculars.” He turns and walks out after that leaving you watching after him.
What?
------------------------------------------------------------------
After delivering the profile, you find the Unsub, a man named Ivan Parke. The only thing left to do was find the best way to snuff him out. When the team is discussing the next best course of action. It’s then Luke comes up with the idea.
“We should send Y/N undercover.” He says. “She knows the profile and knows the most about the scene.”
Emily nods. “Is that something you’re comfortable with, Y/N.”
You look up. “Oh, um yea. I’d have to find a different outfit but you have to send someone with me.” You say, everyone looks at you confused so you sigh and explain yourself. “If you send me into a club like this, in a foreign place with no Dom, the Unsub isn’t going to be my only worry. Someone’s going to have to play my dominant.”
“I’ll do it.” Spencer speaks up. Your eyes widened, you were not expecting Spencer to agree to it, you assumed you’d be stuck with Luke. Now you’re going to have to spend the night with the man you’d been crushing on since you started working with the BAU as his submissive. Like that wasn’t a dream come true.
“Great.” Emily says, dismissing everyone and handing you an expense credit card for an outfit. You take it and leave immediately, ignoring the sly look Spencer gives you.
You ended with a short, low-cut black leather dress with tank-like sleeves that showed off your curves and left very little to the imagination. As well as a clear pair of platform heels. You pulled your hair back into a sleek ponytail and you topped the look with your own personal leather choker with a large circle knob in the center. It was one of your favorite pieces to wear though you never really got a chance to wear it unless you were going to clubs, which you didn’t do as often these days. It was an expensive piece sure, but so worth it when you got to wear it. You were doing your makeup a little darker then you usually do in the bathroom when Spencer comes in.
“Is this how you typically look on the weekends?” He asks, standing behind you in the mirror. You look up to look him in the eyes through it.
“If I have the time.” You shrug.
“It’s very different. You’re very different from how I thought you were.”
“And how did you think I was, Spencer?”
“Naive...innocent.”
“Well, maybe you shouldn’t have assumed anything about me.” You say, turning towards the man.
“Maybe you’re right… That’s an expensive piece.” He points out pointing to your choker. “Emily’s going to have fun explaining that at the next budgetary hearing.”
“I didn’t buy it today.” You explain. “It’s mine.”
Spencer hums for a moment before lifting his hand to turn your jaw, examining the piece. You can’t help the way your breath hitches at the contact. Spencer was already so close to you and now he was touching you, it was already starting to be too much. Soon, Spencer is hooking two fingers into the circle knob of your choker and he yanks it. Involuntarily, a whimper falls from your lips, prompting a smirk from the man across from you.
“Tonight’s going to be fun.” He says before leaving you in the bathroom in a state of shock.
--------------------------------------------------------
After getting your comms set up by Luke, who tried to avert his eyes from your frame as much as possible, you and Spencer walk into the Cat’s Cradle. Typically you didn’t like the club scene, but you sometimes liked to venture out when looking for a new partner. Cat’s Cradle was definitely different than the other places you had been. Sure it still had the private rooms and the main stage where a scene was happening in front of you but it was a lot more laid back than the ones you went to in DC. Spencer was really enjoying his role too. Probably hamming it up too much because he knew there was a part of you that actually wanted him to. In the end, finding Ivan Parke was easy. He took the bait almost instantly and you were arresting him just as fast.
“Great work tonight guys.” Emily says, when you reach the hotel lobby. “Jet’s leaving at 7AM so make sure to get some rest.” She says, dismissing you.
Now begged a tricky situation because you had almost forgotten you and Spencer were rooming together. As you walked back to the room together the air was thick but both of you were silent. The tension had been building between the two of you since he yanked your choker in the station bathroom. You knew it was a matter of time. The dam had to break.
“You can shower first.” Spencer says. You nod, taking off your choker and grabbing clothes before taking solace in the bathroom. You wanted Spencer and you knew you needed to expedite this. After a much needed shower, you change into your pajama shorts and tank combo. Spencer steps into the shower almost as soon as you leave it. It’s then that you think of the perfect plan. You lay on the bed and spread your legs before slipping a hand down your shorts. You tease yourself at first, rubbing your clit through your underwear while you thought about the events of the night. How Spencer had been so authoritative. How his hand slid to the small of your back and sometimes ghosted your ass as the two of you walked around the club. How he had been so close in the bathroom. The way he yanked you closer. A small moan escaped you as you slid your hand in your underwear. Soon you hear the bathroom door open. Spencer stops short, watching you before leaning on the frame.
“Were you just touching yourself?”
“Yes.” You answer. “Are you gonna to do something about it?”
“Should I? Instead of telling me what you want you decide to act like a brat and do this.”
Spencer moves closer to the bed but doesn’t do anything, just continues to watch you so you decide to give him a show. Moaning loudly as you slide a digit inside of you. Spencer looks at you with hooded eyes. You can’t help the small laugh that leaves you.
“I think you’re going to give me what I want.” You say, smirking.
“And why’s that?” He says.
“You’re already weak.” You say.
“I’m weak, pretty girl?” He asks, incredulously. Before you know it, he’s ripping your hand out of your pants and crowding in the space between your legs forcing you to sit up and look at him. “You’re in here touching yourself to the thought of me like a horny teenager and I’m the one who’s weak? Ok.”  He sits back and pulls you by your hips to sit on top of his lap, your legs straddling one of his thighs. “The only way you’re getting off is on my thigh, ok?” He tells you, starting to move your hips. You moan, nodding your head as the friction makes its way through your core. Spencer lifts your shirt off you and smirks when his eyes land on your bare breast. He leans forward to catch your left nipple in his mouth. Your back arches as you grind harder against his thigh. Your hands fly up to start unbuttoning his shirt when he stops you.
“Did I say you could touch yet, princess?”  He asks.
“N-No, sir.” You stutter.
“Then keep your hands to yourself.” He says, putting your hands back to your side. He does indulge you by taking his shirt off himself. But that doesn’t help you keep your hands to yourself. You saw the lean muscle and craved to mark it up with your nails. Your hands go up to touch him again but he stops you.
“If I have to ask you again, I’m going to tie you up, Princess. Just be good, baby.”
You were already close before but now with Spencer’s hands and mouth everywhere and constant friction on your sex it was damn near pushing you off the edge.
“I’m gonna come.” You tell him, he grips your hips tighter, lifting his leg slightly so he was only rubbing against your clit. That makes you moan out loudly.
“Go ahead, Princess. Cum for me.” He says, and that was all you needed to fall right over the edge. Your legs shake and convulse as Spencer grips your hips help you ride it out.  Soon you come down panting and he’s kissing into your neck. He pulls back and grips your jaw.
“Still think I’m weak, Princess?”  He asks.
You knew it was unwise. In fact, you tried to stop yourself before you did it but it was too late. You reared your hand back and slapped Spencer across the cheek. Not hard enough to be seen as anything malicious but sharp enough to throw him off, like he couldn’t believe you had done it.
“Yes I do.” You say looking him in the eyes after. Something like a switch went off because there was no other way to describe the look he gave you other than feral and fully primitive. He pushes you off him.
“Get on your hands and knees, now.” He says, menacingly. You scramble and run to get into the position. Once in, Spencer forces your knees further apart. He angrily takes his belt off his pants before fashioning them into a makeshift cuff and pulling your wrist so they’re tied behind your back, leaving you face down into the mattress. He slides your shorts and underwear off in one go. You yelp loudly when the first slap comes to your behind. When the second and third slap comes, you try to squeeze your legs together to get some form of friction but Spencer forces your knees further apart. You moan out when you feel a digit slide against your folds. You try to push back on it but Spencer holds your hips in place.
“P-Please.” you stutter.
“What do you want, Princess?” He says, sliding a second digit inside you making you cry out more.
“Please, fuck me, Spencer.” You say, and you really didn’t have to ask twice because almost as soon as you ask Spencer’s hands leave you to finish unbuckling his pants. There’s a brief moment of calm, so calm that you almost think Spencer wasn’t going to give you what you want but that calm is interrupted by Spencer slamming into, no warning. You scream out but that’s only rewarded with your head being shoved more into the mattress to muffle your cries. Spencer’s hands are pulling on your cuffs so he is almost impossibly deep inside you. You moans start to get louder and louder. Suddenly, Spencer is pulling you up so you’re both sitting up, your back against his chest. One of his hands slides to grip around your neck while the other is moving to circle your clit. The hand around your neck tilts your jaw back so you’re looking up at the man behind you.
“Fuck, you feel so good. Open your mouth, Princess.” He orders, which you do instantly sticking your tongue out. Spencer leans forward and spits into your waiting mouth before locking his mouth with yours. His hand squeezes your neck tighter as you moan into his mouth as he starts fucking you faster, his dick hitting your g-spot almost every thrust. It’s not long before you’re just babbling, not even able to string a coherent sentence together.
“You gonna come for me, Princess?” He asks. You nod, moaning loudly. At this point, you knew there was no way the person in the room next to you guys didn’t hear you. You could only hope that it wasn’t one of the team. “Go ahead for me, baby. Be a good girl and come on my cock.” After that, it doesn’t take long before you’re falling over the edge, shaking all the while. Spencer fucks you through it before tightening his grip on your hips to bend you back forwards so your face is back on the mattress. He fucks you hard and fast before falling over the edge himself, moaning your name.
The two of you say nothing as he unties you. When he does, you instantly flop down on your back, breathing heavily. Spencer wordlessly gets up and goes to the bathroom. For a moment you think he’s just leaving you like this, that you were foolish to think Spencer cared anything about you but in that moment he comes back with a wet cloth and ointment. He says nothing as he wipes between your legs before tossing the towel aside. You watch him with a smirk on your face as he rubs the ointment on the red marks the red cuffs made on you.
He looks you in the eye. “What, Y/N?”
“What happened to Princess?” You say, Spencer just looks at you with a bored expression which only makes you smile more. “Now’s probably a good time for you to ask me to dinner.”
Spencer chuckles lightly at that. “You don’t want to go to dinner with me.”
“I’m almost positive I do. Why would you say that?” You ask.
Spencer looks you in the eyes at that moment. “I’m not-Y/N, I’m not like you.”
“Like me?”
“I’m not able to be cheery and smiley. I can’t float into rooms. I can’t be happy like you are, too much has happened to me. You deserve someone happy.”
“Spencer.” You say, looking him in the eyes. “You are not broken. You can be happy, it’s going to take time sure but I’m willing to be with you through that. If you want that.” You say.
Spencer nods. “Ok, Y/N.” he smiles.
“So….?”
He rolls his eyes at that. “What’re you doing next sunday?”
You smile, brightly. “Absolutely nothing.”

Summary:
The Ackerman duo. Just the mention of this name filled Hange with so many feelings. Mostly, when she reread the files of their cases over and over, until her eyes watered, she felt pricking annoyance. Sometimes, when she stared at the dead bodies of those scarce unfortunates who stumbled upon their crimes, she was filled with hatred and a pushing need for revenge. Hange couldn't deny, however, there were times when she marveled at the impudence of their crimes. And, when she was investigating the Ackerman's cases and saw just how meticulously planned they all were, she couldn't help but feel something close to fascination.
No one knew who they were. No one had seen their faces, no one knew their true names. Almost everyone knew of their crimes.
Hange was determined to unravel every last one of their secrets. She will put an end to their crimes and then she will get the elusive Ackermans behind bars.

The rain had started up again. Fat droplets drummed over her hood, drenching the fabric. Her horse’s reins were wet and cold; though her fingers, numbed from continued exposure to the elements, could hardly feel them.
Following the sound of the explosion, they’d arrived at a clearing. It was a mess of blackened, shattered wood, and the wagon, a skeleton, was little more than a smoking husk. Beyond the wreckage, a titan lay prostrate. Felled, its limp, hulking form was barely visible through the rain.
As soldiers shouted, pointing at the creature, one of the horses still tethered to the ruined wagon, writhed. When the beast screamed a broken, panicked wail, her own horse shifted, flanks twitching with unease.
Hanji barely noticed.
The soldiers' voices, the poor beast’s screams, even the heavy, even thrum of rain - had silenced as she looked to the river.
A body lay at the edge of the dark, white-capped water.

The pastor hesitated, apparently realizing he’d made some mistake, but misunderstanding precisely what it was. “Your…wife? The woman we traveled with before? She’s ah – forceful. You two uh – have the same, er – strident personality. When we first met, she dangled me off the wall.”

What’s weird is that Hange - Hange, with her print-smudged glasses and ratty ponytail and clothes two sizes too big for her - is crying because a boy called her ugly.

“Is it because you think he’s cute? My friend Ymir stares at my friend Krista that way all the time, she says it’s because she’s so pretty!” Eren babbled happily, oblivious to the way Hange’s grip around the handle of the cart tightened. Danger First
Chapter 8
@pocketramblr This one is a bit shorter, but it came fast. :3
.
As much of a disaster as this was, it would have been about a thousand times worse without Tensei there. The Nomu guy had All Might pinned down, and as terrifying as that was, it was only made worse by how little he reacted to Shouta erasing his quirk whenever he caught sight of him.
No wonder Midoriya had been a wreck this morning. If nothing else, this confirmed his quirk was some kind of precognitive danger detection, and Shouta fully intended to get it registered as such the minute they got out of this mess so that the next time Midoriya showed up shaking in his red shoes, they could hit the problem with an army.
The hand-covered villain started reciting numbers. What was he doing? Counting something? Time?
Shouta blinked. The villain said a new number.
Oh, hell. The bastard was measuring the length of time he could keep his quirk active.
Distantly, because he was currently fighting about a dozen villains and really needed to keep his attention on not dying, Shouta registered an approaching young scream. Then something thunked into the fountain, and a line - a carbon fiber cable? - appeared between Shouta and the hand villain, giving them both pause. The pause lasted just long enough for two pairs of red shoes to plow into the side of the hand villain's head.
The momentum of impact took both Midoriya and the hand villain into the fountain. Then the fountain disintegrated. Shouta turned his quirk back on, and Midoriya log rolled away from the remains of the fountain.
"Get out of here!" ordered Shouta.
"Yes, sir!" said Midoriya, scrambling to his feet and managing to dodge several villains' attacks in a way that looked both natural and uncanny.
Shouta refocused on the hand villain, who could evidently disintegrate things by touching them. What a joy. A completely terrible match up for close range fighters like himself and Tensei. Or All Might, for that matter.
As Shouta strategized, part of his brain filed the question of how Midoriya had gotten there under 'for later.'
It would be best to restrain him while he was still disoriented-
Then the portal villain was there, between him and the disintegration villain.
Shouta found himself falling.
.
Izuku did not reach Ingenium in time to stop him from being pinned by the tree. Not that he'd known Nomu would throw a tree that way, but he'd been more than aware that something bad was going to happen.
From what Izuku had seen so far, All Might had been trying to keep his fight with Nomu away from others while still occasionally throwing an assist. But Nomu was strong. If Izuku didn't know better, he'd say the villain had multiple quirks-
-except maybe he didn't know better. Here was Izuku with two quirks, after all. Who was to say there couldn't be another quirk like One for All?
That could be bad.
Judging by the way All Might's direct attacks and punches barely moved Nomu but throws seemed to work normally, in addition to a regeneration quirk, Izuku would say he had something else that absorbed impact. And then possibly a strength quirk...?
All Might and Nomu rolled out of the trees. All Might was ever-so-slightly bloodied. Nomu looked unscathed.
It would be a gamble, All Might probably had already realized it, but...
Knowledge was power.
Izuku cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted, "All Might! I think he has more than one quirk!"
Black bled into the air.
"You certainly are a golden egg, aren't you?"
The mist villain and the hand villain were there. The hand villain, who bore a strong resemblance to a drowned rat, cackled.
"You've been trying to seal his movements, haven't you?" he said, voice scratchy. "But it's no good, he's just as powerful as you. Nomu- our specially made multi-quirked anti-All Might weapon. Kurogiri."
"Yes, Shigaraki Tomura."
More portals started to form, and Izuku started to get a better, horrible idea of what the villains' goal here was.
He needed Ingenium, and Kaminari.
He edged away, then turned to run. He couldn't directly help All Might right now, but if All Might could just hold out a little longer-
He grabbed Kaminari and Tsuyu's hands. "Help me get Ingenium free! I have a plan!"
"You have a plan, Midoriya?" asked Ingenium.
"Y-yeah," said Midoriya. "Just, we have to get this off of you for it to work-"
"Explain to me as you go."
"Well-"
.
"Multiple quirks," said En quietly.
"No! Toshinori killed him!"
"Never thought he was human enough to die-" started Banjo.
"Please tell me you aren't quoting pre-quirk literature at us right now," said En.
"Yoichi?" asked Hikage.
The ghosts shifted their attention to their first member.
"You don't seem very surprised," observed Nana.
"I guess it's like Banjo said," said Yoichi with a pained smile. "I just... never really felt like it was over... Even if I didn't think he'd attack Izuku of all people..."
"Well, he isn't. Clearly he's sent his goons after Toshinori. But why wouldn't you think he'd go after Ninth as soon as he realized Toshi passed on One for All?" asked Nana, putting her hands on her hips.
"Probably because it doesn't look like he has One for All?" suggested En.
"Oh," said Nana. "Yeah. Good point."
.
Izuku didn't miss the pain that flickered across Ingenium's face as he stood, or the way he was clearly favoring one side of his body, but they didn't have a lot of options right now. This was the best they could do. All Might was still avoiding the portals, and Nomu reaching through them, but he'd had to abandon his cape.
Worse, he was still obviously worried about the four of them, and had left himself open to injury to knock small-fry villains away from them multiple times as they levered the tree off Ingenium.
They didn't have time. They didn't have options.
(This would be a great time for reinforcements from the school to arrive.)
(They didn't.)
Izuku handed the spooled out end of the grappling hook to Ingenium, and the gun end to Kaminari. Tsuyu wrapped her tongue around Izuku and they jumped away, out of range.
Then Ingenium took off, compensating for less thrust output on his injured side. He was wobbly, and the hand villain easily dodged him, but the mist villain, with his focus on the portals, didn't. Ingenium slammed the points of the grappling hook into the man's metal collar, and ran.
Lightning struck, racing down the conductive cable from Kaminari to the mist villain. The man convulsed, the portals snapping shut.
One of them snapped shut on Nomu.
The villain's arm flopped onto the ground, and Izuku swallowed hard. That could have been All Might, if they hadn't timed that right.
Nomu roared, but its muscles bulged, and its arm, rapidly, disgustingly, grew back.
They'd gotten rid of the portal threat, but what now? Nomu and the hand villain were still very much threats, and if the hand villain got even one hand on All Might, it was game over.
.
Third cursed, surprising everyone.
"Ooh, are you finally acknowledging Izuku's superior skill in strategy and quirk analysis?" asked Yoichi, striking a pose.
"No," said Third, stepping away from the wall. "You can keep him to yourself. I just don't want Eighth to die." He walked over to the fiery form that was Yagi Toshinori's placeholder in the mindscape. "He's still connected."
"Well, yeah," said Yoichi. "What are you doing?"
"I'm giving him Fa Jin."
"What! He can do that?" demanded Banjo. "What about Blackwhip?"
"How the hell would Toshinori explain Blackwhip? Give it a rest already."
Third put his hands on Eighth's shoulders.
.
"Midoriya!"
"Monoma?" Izuku staggered as Monoma dropped both hands on his shoulders. "What?"
"The portal villain!" said Monoma, eyes wide. "He has multiple quirks!"
"It's true," said Kirishima, running up behind him. "After we were zapped to the ruins zone, Monoma was able to do all sorts of stuff."
"So, he's like Nomu?"
"That thing has multiple quirks, too?"
Normally, cling someone with a quirk that affected their appearance a thing was frowned upon, but in this case they were all going to let it slide.
"Yeah," said Izuku. A terrible idea began to rise up in his mind. But then he was distracted by Kaminari starting to wander towards the fight. "I think it has three," he said in a rush. "Regen, strength, and shock absorption if you can think of anything-" he cut off. "We need to get Kaminari."
"I've got him," said Kirishima quickly, "I can take a hit."
Izuku nodded.
"Midoriya, Ingenium!" said Tsuyu with a gasp.
Ingenium had collapsed, clutching one of his legs. Tears pricked at Izuku's eyes. There was too much going on!
A wave of ice crusted over Nomu.
Todoroki!
All Might took advantage of his opponent's temporary incapacitation and leaped back to where Izuku and the others were, grabbing Kirishima, Kaminari, and Ingenium on the way. "You kids need to get out of here!"
"But the shock absorbtion-!"
"Geez, plain kid, what are you, some kind of exposition dump?" asked the hand villain, scratching his neck. "A secret gimmick boss?" He laughed. "Yeah, Nomu has shock absorption. Like I said-" Nomu ripped itself free of the ice, "-he's a specially made living sandbag, a damage sponge just for-"
The hand villain cut off as a floating tree branch hit him over the back of the head, knocking free one of his costume hands. He staggered but didn't fall, swiping behind him with one hand. One of his own hands, that was. Hagakure yelped.
Not really thinking, Izuku picked up a rock and threw it at the hand villain, who caught and disintegrated it. "That's it, you hero brats!" He was blown back by a gust of wind.
"Go!" urged All Might. "Shock absorption quirks always have limits! So do regeneration quirks!"
So did All Might.
"If I could touch him," started Monoma. "If I could touch you-"
"Go," repeated All Might, more urgently.
"You heard him," said Tsuyu.
"Running away?" taunted the hand villain. Then, more quietly but still audible, "Wake up, Kurogiri."
All Might smiled grimly. "Not at all," he said. Then he charged the Nomu.
.
The silver lining to being shipped express to the location of one of the most traumatic events in his life was that Shouta had cell service. He could call UA.
Literally everything else sucked.
"Nezu," he croaked into the receiver. "Attack-"
"On the USJ, yes. I gathered reinforcements when the computer system stopped returning my pings and I couldn't contact you or Thirteen. What is your- oh, dear, how did you get all the way out there?"
"One of the villains has a warp quirk," said Shouta, he shifted and hissed. "Dropped me from over a story up." Probably more like two. Or even three. "Kinda want to know why he dropped me here."
"I'm sending a ambulance your way," said Nezu brusquely.
"There's also a guy who can turn stuff to dust with a touch - got me a couple times, but only got my skin - and really... muscly guy. Fighting All Might. Lots of cannon fodder. My kids-"
"You've done everything you can. Focus on not dying. You were always one if my favorite students. I'd hate to lose you."
"I'm a teacher."
"And? Ah! That's Iida Tenya on the road!"
"'S he okay?"
"Somewhat winded, but unharmed! Anything else we should know?"
"One of the villains was going toe-to-toe with All Might," said Shouta, blinking black spots out of his eyes. "The leader had a five-point disintegration quirk- Got me a couple times, just lost some skin though." He inhaled deeply, and groaned at the distinct sensation of a cracked rib. "Kids were scattered. Don't know where they all were. Saw Midoriya." He took another gasp of air. "I think Thirteen was injured."
He could hear sirens.
"I think," he said, weakly, "that's... no, there were a lot of canon fodder guys... Did I say that already? I think that's it."
"Thank you, Shouta. I'm going to leave you on speaker. If you can think of anything else, let us know. We need to debrief Iida, now."
"Hn," said Shouta.
.
By the time All Might punched Nomu through the roof of the USJ, the hand villain was shaking the mist villain vigorously, and Izuku and his classmates were halfway to the exit, carrying Ingenium and Kaminari.
Izuku was relieved, despite the danger still hanging in the air. It couldn't have been more than thirty minutes since this all started, but it was probably shorter, and Izuku knew All Might had all his time for today.
With Nomu gone, there was no way All Might would lose. Not even to someone with a destructive five-point quirk. Izuku could write a whole article on his reasoning, with sources cited.
All Might flipped a cube out of his pocket, and it unfolded into a pair of handcuffs designed specifically for restraining people with five-point quirks. It was obvious that the hand villain wasn't going to come quietly.
The mist villain's yellow eyes opened groggily. All Might moved-
-too slow.
The hand villain and the mist villain were gone.
The other villains who had come with them, however, were still very present. Which is why, Izuku would maintain until he died, he passed out when the rest of the teachers stepped through the door of the USJ and he finally felt safe.
.
Shouta watched as the two villain leaders stumbled out of a portal not far from him. He had the presence of mind to silence his phone, but couldn't focus enough to do much else. Hopefully Nezu still recorded all his calls, the paranoid rodent...
"Kurogiri," growled the hand villain. "Where the hell are we, and why are we here?"
The mist villain - Kurogiri? - shook his head slowly. "I am unsure, Shigaraki Tomura. I do not recognize the area." His voice was unsteady and itched at Shouta's brain. "I suspect... I suspect that the electric attack of that student has damaged my quirk control."
"Then get it undamaged, idiot. Goddamn sun... we're out in the open! I can hear sirens."
"I believe that those are ambulance sirens. Police sirens have a different pitch-"
"I don't care! Open a portal back home!"
"I am uncertain if that is-"
"Take us back to the bar. Now."
The villains left again, all without noticing Shouta. Maybe they were just desensitized to corpses lying in dark alleys or something. Not that he was a corpse yet. Even if his eyes were sliding closed.
What an illogical affair.
This was a stupid place to die.
.
"Alright," said En, in a tone that indicated he wanted attention. "Now that Ninth is no longer in danger of immediate death, I think we have some things to talk about. Firstly, Yoichi, I have a question for you."
Yoichi looked resigned. "Ask away, then."
"Before I ask it, I just want to preface that I've always had the utmost respect for you, and obviously there's nothing you can do to act on it from in here, but I can't help but notice that you seem... unusually attached to Ninth."
Yoichi gestured for En to contine.
"So, I have to ask... Yoichi, are you a pedophile?"
"No, I'm not rel- a pedophile?"
"Like I said, you seem unusu-"
"I'm his uncle!"
"What," said Nana.
"What," said Banjo, not quite at the same time.
"Wha- Not that I'm not pleased I won't have to figure out a way to double murder you, but what?" demanded En.
"I can't believe you thought I was a pedophile! What's wrong with you?"
"What's wrong with him?" said Banjo, phantom representations of Blackwhip peeling off his body. "What's wrong with you? How are you Ninth's uncle?"
"In the usual way!" shouted Yoichi, who seemed to have gotten stuck on high volume. "I'm actually kind of shocked none of you noticed right away!"
"How could we possibly have noticed?" demanded Banjo.
"I noticed," said Hikage.
"I- Wait, what, really?" Yoichi turned to Hikage.
"Yes," said Hikage, gravely. "All for One was in the family photo on the wall in Ninth's house. The one in the living room. I thought we were just avoiding the subject to be polite."
"Hikage," said Nana, "I cannot begin to tell you how much that wasn't what was going on. Is that why you two were sulking?" she asked Third.
"We aren't sulking. We're protesting the ridiculous decision to give One for All to the son of All for One. And I'm going right back to it."
"Bah!" said Yoichi, waving him off. "Go sulk in your corner! You're just jealous that Izuku is the coolest One for All holder!"
En's eyes had narrowed suspiciously. "Those two were sulking way before we were in Ninth, let alone his house. When did they find out?"
"Like, the day after Eighth met him. I told them because I wanted advice, but I got sulking instead. See if I tell them any more secrets, ever."
"That was a year ago," said Nana. "Are you- How in the world did you know, anyway?"
"He looks just like Hisashi did at that age," said Yoichi. "Also, he always said that if he had kids, he'd name them Tomura and Izuku, so..."
"Ninth looks like his mother, though," said Nana.
"Yeah, and All for One is a grade-A narcissist," said Yoichi.
"You're saying he picked, ugh, what was her name- Inko. He picked Inko because she looked like him?" asked Nana.
"Yeah, essentially."
"Wait, wait, back up," said Banjo. "Tomura? Did you say Tomura?"
"Yeah?"
"That's what the mist guy called the hand guy that one time. Actually- Didn't All for One go by Shigaraki for a while there, too?"
The only audible sound was a heartrate monitor's muffled beep. Presumably from Ninth being hooked up to one.
"That's messed up," said Yoichi, finally. There wasn't much else to say.

Touch Detective 3 + The Complete Case Files launches March 28, 2024 in the west

Touch Detective 3 + The Complete Case Files will launch for Switch on March 28, 2024 in the west, publisher Nicalis announced. It will be priced at $39.99 for the digital edition, $49.99 for the standard physical edition, and $59.99 for the special physical edition. Pre-orders are available now at Nicalis.
Tumblr media
Here is an overview of the collection, via Nicalis:
A collection of charming and eccentric adventure games that originated on the Nintendo DS platform, the Touch Detective series follows the adventures of Mackenzie, a rookie detective who attempts to solve local mysteries with the help of Funghi (her mushroom assistant). Touch Detective 3 + The Complete Case Files includes all three mainline Touch Detective games, marking the first time that Touch Detective 3 will be localized and officially released in English. Nicalis also worked closely with Success and Beeworks (the game’s Japanese publisher and developer) to update the localizations of Touch Detective and Touch Detective 2½, restoring some small details from the original Japanese text that were lost when the games were originally released in English-speaking territories on Nintendo DS. In some cases, these changes actually introduce subtle clues that are intended to aid in Mackenzie’s investigations. Also, since the original releases used a second screen to display Mackenzie’s thoughts, these brief asides now appear as interludes superimposed over the main gameplay. This makes it easier to follow the story and ensures that players won’t miss any of her often humorous inner monologue.

Okay, this will be probably long and with many errors (my english isn´t very good) But I saw several posts here on Lokius tag, talking about this ship as result of gay fetish, and about non existing chemistry and  how this ship doesn´t make sense etc… And from what I understood there is tagged Lokius because of genuine interest to understand others point of view, so here is mine: I wil try to explain where my frustration comes from, and how I feel about Lokius, Sylkie, AND representation + some other things which I saw here somewhere. But first of all: I like Sylvie, I don´t hate sylkie shipers, and after so many years reading fan fictions, I don´t mind selfcest – I read weirder things. I have some issues with this ship (the mainlythe fact that it isn´t Lokius), but  this is not one of them. Also, I am not about to tell anyone, they shouldn´t ship sylkie.Ship whatever. And I LOVED the show as a whole.
I just want to defend my standpoint, that Lokius does make sense, people shipping it does make sense and whether it will happen or not, (I don´t have my hopes very high, and I learned to be very skeptical in this regard ) it is more than just about crack ship, or fetish. I´m honestly blown away that people are still surprised that this ship became a thing :D First of all, let´s look at some romantic story telling and tropes: I mean the way they introduced them in the first two episodes set the tone for all series and how the heck this isn´t romantic? Somehow there are all these romantic tropes existing in a show. They´re just there. Just chilling between Loki and Mobius and large portion of audience can´t even see them. (and some of those tropes were used for Sylki as well, so you could actually see them side by side)
For example: 1) traveling to the apocalypsis 2) breaking law/rules for the other 3) literally changing for the better thanks to the other 4) arguing like old married couple 5) saying secrets, personal things to the other 6) sharing glances, touches, visibly being happy around each other - in case of Loki happier then we´ve ever seen him before 7) being completely themselfs around each other 8) One knowing everything (even the worst) about other and still accepting him completely 9) teasing, being comfortable and domestic around each other 10) one being literally enthusiastic FAN of the other 11) Mobius defending Loki whenever he has a chance 12) Freaking amnesia trope that they pulled of in the end??? (It could be different Mobius, but point is he suddenly doesn´t know him - and Loki knows more, in contrast with the beggining) 13) the jealousy in ep4 14) Misunderstanding - when Mobius thought Loki betrayed him and Loki (thanks to Ravonna) thought Mobius betrayed him... 15) witnessing death of the other and being absolutely broken afterwards 16) The goodbye hug with romantic music in the backround 17) Saving life of the one (even when it means problems for the other ) - like Mobius saved Loki´s ass at least three times when he was trying to stop others from pruning him. 18) sharing deep conversations about meanings of life, freedom and how it would be fun to make some chaos and ride that fucking jet ski!!! 19) Inspiring the other 20) looking for each other (Mobius didn´t believe for a second, that Loki would die in the Void and the way how in the last minutes of the series Loki run through all places they were together when he was looking for Mobius... and I could go on. Point is, even if they are not planning to make Lokius canon, all these things are used on a daily basis to describe romance in media and they are used here. On top of that it´s just very poetic and cute, that this drama queen and powerful god of Asgard who looked down on people would find his match in someone, who is so quiet, ordinary on the first sight, and basically is just human from 90s, who loves jet skis. Mobius can´t even fight. But is highly inteligent and he also happen to be as good manipulator, such as Loki himself. - That´s why they work together so well. Mobius sees right through him and once Loki understands that, he drops his evil persona. Almost nobody expected to ship it for real. But story itself and chemistry between them just made it probably the most exciting duo in the whole MCU. And I mean it genuinely. Third episode, even though it was beautiful and Sophie was great in it (and is literally dipped in bisexual colors), is the least favorite for a reason. And that reason being, there is no interaction between Loki and Mobius whatsoever. Lot´s of people though that series slowed down a bit. Even when in fact there was more action, then when we watched Loki and Mobius working at the TVA.
(and let´s just talk about evil!Mobius narative for a bit and how some people say he is manipulative and toxic for Loki: show itself explore heavy themes and one of them is in Loki´s line: no one bad is ever truly bad and no one good is ever truly good. And as a theme in a fictional world, it is working as it should, for the  story. When Loki and Mobius meet, one of them just killed lots of innocent people and destroyed almost whole city. The other one is a part of fascist organization – and in the beginning of the series they both believe what they´re doing is right. They´re both bad, they´re both good, they´re both broken. And they are changing with the help of the other.) From all reactions I watched - and there was many of them, lots of people actually didn´t see dynamic between Loki and Sylvie as romantic in the third episode. So it´s not like Sylvie and Loki had unequivocally love story right from the start.
The only difference is that lots of people won´t see romantic tropes, when it comes to two men in a mainstream show – show that isn´t primarily about relationships and problems that queer people has to face. Because in super hero story and science fiction we have to warn audience, that they´re about to watch two man in love, right? At this point It´s just frustrating really. There were many M/M dynamics that used similar story line, as for example Lucifer, or X-files, or Bone collectors. -  But unlike those M/M pairings, no one was making fun of people for shipping main characters in these shows. But when it comes to two men suddenly you´ll see from all corners of the internet: “why can´t it be just platonic?” “There is not enough platonic relationships” “why can´t two man just be friends?” (They can and they almost ALWAYS are) and “if you think there something romantic between them, you´re delusional” “fetishist“ “And for god´s sake just let them be friends, Loki needs a friend more then....” oh wait, but Sylvie is allowed to kiss him. Sylvie doesn´t have to be just friend. (And I must say, that I love Sylvie, I liked most of the interactions between her and Loki and I think she is a great character ((I hope we learn more about her in the future)) it just doesn´t work for me as well as Loki´s dynamic with Mobius. Maybe partly because of chemistry between actors, partly because combination of characters and they´re personality and also because I had two whole episodes to fall in love with the pair before Sylvie was even introduced.)
First of all: people can be friends and then evolve into lovers. Not only it is common romantic trope, but it is also the most realistic one. And those relationships are usually strongest. second: If people want to see Loki in a platonic friendship so desperately, why can´t it be a woman for a change? They were acting like chaotic siblings for most of the episode three anyway. The age gap aspect is also very funny. Owen is only about 12 years older (That is not that much. But I imagine, some people would get uncomfortable. But If it was man and woman, most of them wouldn´t even blinked. But two men, that has to be somehow automatically son and father figure dynamic) And If you want to dive into age of an actual characters, then good luck with that in a series about gods, variants and time travel. Almost nobody cares about age gap between Lucifer and detective Decker, or Bella and Edward. On top of that, it was heavily implied, that Loki slept with older, silver haired guy in Ragnarok, so it´s not like he would have problem with that.
Different standards are projected in a way how we see romantic dynamics between fictional characters depends on what we are used to, how are we perceiving world around us, what we are expecting to see and ALSO, what we would like to see, that much is true.  When people are used to make no differences between heterosexual and homosexual pairing, then everything what happens to the characters is measured with the same meter. (Even though I experienced queerbaiting many times (( Once upon a time, Sherlock, Supernatural, Good Omens – the last one hopefully is not the case, but I guess we´ll see)) I also saw lots of lgbt shows like Queer as folks and Sense8.) And when we are not used to see it the same way, well… then it looks basically like that one comment under Castiel´s “I love you” scene on youtube, that said  “what a beautiful friendship”.
If we forget about all that chaotic mess behind the scenes (all those articles and contrary messages)  What is happening in a show between Loki and Mobius can be objectively considered romantic and what is happening between Loki and Sylvie in a series can be objectively considered platonic (until the kiss) and vice versa.  And then to see comments about how absurd it is to even think they have chemistry, and about gay fetish - it´s hard to swallow. I read posts about absurdity of a ship and how there is absolutely nothing that would suggests romance.  Well there is, actually. But whether creators are going to work with it or not, that´s something we can only speculate. They already made Loki officially bisexual. So why should it be so absurd to assume, that there is an actual possibility of romantic subplot between Loki and Mobius? Oh right… it´s Disney and Marvel we are talking about.
So on a subject of bisexuality: Bi people can date whoever they want.  But It is a little frustrating, when there is so many heterosexual pairings in the mcu and disney but when there is a promise of lgbt character (speaking of endgame) we get one line about date from a man we´ll never see again. And when there is a promise of lgbt representation you can´t even blink during movie, or you´ll miss it (Star wars, Beauty and the beast). And then Loki said “A bit of both, I suspect the same as you”. And I won´t lie, I was happy. And I think creators made biggest step yet with this one line (which is honestly terrible, that “a bit of both” coming from Loki of all people, is the biggest step forward.) But they played it VERY safe. Obviously, both Loki, and Sylvie are bisexuals, and in three episodes, we had Loki flirting with female flight attendant, Sylvie talking about her relationship with POSTMAN and then they fall for each other. So the only thing that suggests they are really as bi as Lamentis 1 is that little sentence, that can be edited out, or easily overheard. It´s the bare minimum. And I think that frustration with how freaking slowly we´re moving into some progress is understandable. From all those great M/M dynamics I talked about, those, that could make great love story, nothing happened, because too many people “don´t mind gays but don´t need to look at them” or are scared for their children. In 2021.
It is not a fetish to wish for a gay love story in superhero movies/series. (But anyway, I don´t think there is anything bad about it. Some men like to watch lesbian porn, some woman like to read gay porn. AO3 wouldn´t be were it is today, without people reading and writing slash :D – but that has little to do with what we actually see on tv)
I´m not delusional. As much, as I love these two characters together, I know how little chance it has.  I´m not delusional. I´m just in the future, old and tired, waiting hundreds of years for at least one of my OTP to finaly become a fucking canon.

Yearning (Reed900)
This fic is on AO3!
There was one thing in the Zen Garden he had created on his own, started from scratch with each line of code carefully written by the android himself. It was the thing that made him look forward to stasis.
(Inspired by the song "I Wanna Be Yours" by the Arctic Monkeys and the Detroit: Evolution Reed900 edit with the same song by Octopunk Media. In addition, I took Zenvin from DE but this isn't a DE fic)
Nines, nowadays, is almost always eager to enter stasis.
As an android of the RK line, it was seen as necessary to do. Connor, an RK800 and his predecessor, had to do it. Markus, an RK200, had to as well. As advanced prototypes, they used stasis to process information the way humans used dreams. However, in stasis, androids were fully aware of their actions and environment.
Nines, an RK900, had a Zen Garden waiting for him in stasis. For the other RKs, they had created their own environments. However, Nines stuck with the setting given to him by CyberLife. It was familiar and comforting.
Although, there was one thing in the Zen Garden he had created on his own, started from scratch with each line of code carefully written by the android himself. It was the thing that made him look forward to rest.
It was a version of Gavin, his work partner. He was a detective and human who worked with the android at the Detroit Police Department.
Initially, the Zen Garden version of Gavin, or Zenvin, as Nines liked to call him, was created as a way to cope with the real Gavin’s vile behavior when they were first partnered. Gavin was a cantankerous man when they first met. He was almost always raising his voice at the android and belittling him when they had met. Nines, in his frustration, created Zenvin. He was kinder, for the most part. Although, he served the purpose of teaching Nines how to interact with his partner. The AI had helped him greatly.
Now, Gavin and Nines were as close as an android detective and his human partner could get, considering their rough start. They were close friends now, after having taken the time to attempt to understand each other after their endless amount of misunderstandings. They were on good terms.
Although, something in Nines itched for more. He wasn’t sure when it had started. Like a flower, the feeling bloomed a while ago, and had continued to grow. At first, the feeling was painful and emotionally burdening. After, he began to come to terms with the fact that he had fallen in love with someone for the first time. Someone he had a work and platonic relationship with. The acceptance helped, but the pain was still there regardless.
It was only during stasis he could ease away the pain and disregard the unrealistic aspects of the pre-constructions he had made, all involving the detective.
It was only during stasis he could satisfy his own feelings.
Zenvin was made to help Nines learn how to deal with his human, but he eventually was used to help play out the scenarios he had only imagined involving the actual Gavin Reed.
Only in his Zen Garden could he hold, kiss, and hug Gavin without the fear of rejection or distrust. Nines knew the human would never return his feelings, let alone touch him, even in a platonic sense.
The AI he had created looked, talked, walked, and sounded exactly like Gavin. It possessed his emerald eyes and playful tone.
The thing was, Nines was fully aware of the fact that the AI was only a simulation; he could satisfy all his wants and needs in this world he possessed, but Gavin would never truly love him back. Although, pretending in his Zen Garden hurt less than having to face rejection by his partner.
The android opened his eyes slowly. His LED spun calmly, glowing pastel yellow.
He looked ahead, confused as he saw no one in sight.
Taking a deep breath, the android began to stroll around his Zen Garden, looking for the AI man he sought out every time in this world.
Zenvin stood at the opposite end of the garden, looking up at the pink of the cherry blossoms blooming on a tree.
“Nines,” He greeted with a pleasant tone, smiling gently.
“Hello, Gavin.”
Admiring the human's serene expression, Nines smiled back at him. He looked lovely.
Zenvin turned to the RK900.
The AI looked calm and rested, rather than disheveled and tired, unlike the human he was based on. He wore a clean white shirt and kept his hair naturally curly. His skin looked bright and clean. Although he kept his stubble and scars, he still looked angelic.
He took the android’s hand in his, interlaced their fingers, and kissed the back of Nines’s hand, making him blush blue.
They began their typical stroll around the garden with a languid pace. Nines always felt relaxed here, as if a deep calm blanketed his body.
He felt the warm sunlight of his skin, the gentle grip of Gavin’s hand, and heard the soft thud of their footsteps beneath them.
Being here with Zenvin never failed to bring him genuine peace. Here, he could slow down for a few moments before committing himself back to his real life. It was always stressful and confusing out there.
The android may have been a deviant for over a year, but his emotions and their effects always felt new, as if he was only converted days ago. It added to the stress of navigating through work and personal matters. The whirlwind of emotions he was always experiencing usually felt overwhelming, besides in moments like this. Everything felt manageable and distant like this.
Only in his own mind could Nines truly relax.
Zenvin brought them over to a bench placed in the center of the garden, facing the old “emergency exit" in the distance. It had no use, now that Nines was deviant. It was meant to be used if an android had to force exit the control of CyberLife or their program. Although, there was no use now that all androids were deviant. There was no programming to escape.
Now, it was kept there for the sake of comfort: he would never use it, but he wanted to keep it there. He knew he would dislike the empty space it would leave behind and would not know what to use to fill its place.
He looked at it for a second, wondering if he would ever have had to use it if the circumstances were different.
“Eyes on me, tin can.”
The android turned to face the man beside him, who stared at him with a fond smile.
Zenvin brought his hand up to the Nines’s neck, gently caressing it. Rubbing his thumb against his cheek, the program human tilted his head to the side in the quizzical matter the RK900 did at times.
“What are you thinking about?”
“Nothing much. I’m just glad to be here with you.”
Nines placed his hand over Zenvin’s. He couldn’t help the smile that bloomed across his lips as he leaned into the touch.
Suddenly, the human’s expression changed into something serious. The smile on his lips had disappeared and his brows were slightly furrowed in what seemed to be worry.
“Nines, I need you to wake up. Wake up, Nines,” Nines heard.
However, it didn’t come from Zenvin’s lips.
Nines looked at him with sudden confusion. His LED spun a violent red and began to flicker wildly.
“Gavin?”
Nines blinked forcefully a few times, his Zen Garden and the real world replacing each other every time he opened his eyes. After a few more times, he was finally completely out of stasis, displeased to have left his Zen Garden so suddenly.
“I leave for maybe, about 3 minutes and you’re already nodding off on me. You sure you’re alright?”
“I’m fine, Detective.”
“Sheesh, I didn’t mean to interrupt your beauty sleep. No need to pull the ‘Detective’ shit on me.”
Gavin eyed the android suspiciously, who just went back to scanning files on his tablet. He turned to his computer and sipped his coffee.
With no new cases of their concern, the duo didn’t have much to do besides look at old cases or, in the android’s case, upload hard copies of information from the evidence archive to the police department’s online database.
The lack of action was unusual for them, as they could usually be found on active scenes or researching their cases. However, it was excruciating, especially for the human. Everyone in the station knew that he lived for his job, so seeing him so agitated over the lack of work was expected.
“May I suggest ending our work day early? I’ve already updated the department’s database with case files from the 1970s to the 1980s and I’m sure you’re sick of staring over the same closed case for 3 hours.”
Gavin stared at Nines with a cocked eyebrow.
“You’ve read my mind,” he sighed, grabbing his keys and turning off his computer.
“Let’s grab something to eat, yeah?”
“Sure, Gavin.”
Gavin walked toward the back exit of the building as Nines tidied his desk, numerous pre-constructions, which would never be played out, running through his HUD.

A/n: Unedited Sorry for any mistakes
Family Ties Chapter 11
As Jay drove to the precinct that morning, Brie pulled out her phone and sent a text to Kim, Vanessa, and Hailey. All three of them were her closest friends and she needed help and advice. Her emotions were all over the place and she needed their outside opinions. She asked them, ‘If a case doesn’t come in, Lunch today. PLEASE????!!!’
Kim replied back first. ‘Sure. Any specific reason?’
Brie laughed slightly and replied to all ‘You know why, Kim.’
Vanessa texted next. ‘Sounds like a Girl Talk session. Need an ear, girl??’
Brie responded back. ‘More like better perspective. But definitely Girl Talk which means the rest of the Unit does NOT get to know.’ She waited and as Jay parked his truck, she looked one more time at her phone and saw 3 thumbs up from the girls agreeing to lunch.
Jay came around and helped her down from the truck due to her heels. He walked with her arm through his with her bag for the afternoon in his other hand. They smiled and laughed as they entered the building. He walked her up to the main desk and spoke to her. “See you upstairs, Brie.” She nodded and he placed a quick kiss on the top of her head.
Sergeant Platt looked at her as she finished signing in. “Be careful with that, Jacobs.” She warned.
“What do you mean, Sergeant?” she asked her surprised.
“Halstead there can be a bit of a heart breaker and if something does go down, he’s been around a lot longer than you have. He would stay, you would have to go. Plus, his history with romances with colleagues is not great.” She said coming closer.
Brie reached out and touched Trudy’s arm. “I hear you, Sergeant. And I have heard the history, Burgess filled me in. Just going to take things one day at a time. Being cautious is a good strategy in romance, right?” she said returning the clipboard and pen turning to walk up the stairs. Platt watched as she used her new pin to enter the unit and her handprint. Trudy just smiled as Brie went out of sight up to Intelligence.
Brie sat at her desk removed her jacket and place her bag with her change of clothes behind her desk. She reviewed the papers and files left on her desk. Shook her head at Ruzek’s chicken scratch for handwriting and then moved to take her lunch to the break room along with her water bottle. She had settled in and was typing up a set of documents based on paperwork for Kevin and Adam’s latest case when they arrived. Kim, Hailey and Vanessa were not far behind. The girls winked at Brie with a smile and the guys harassed Jay a little as the day began.
Brie turned to Ruzek’s files and finally had enough and called out, “Ruzek, come over here and translate your obnoxious handwriting. I can read everyone else’s but yours. Come tell me what this is so that I can get your documentation completed, please.” She said pulling back seeing the surprise on Vanessa’s face.
Adam laughed slightly, commenting, “See I knew you would come up with a reason to hang out with me, Brie. You know you like me better than, Halstead.” He said joking.
“You wish, Ruze. I’ve seen your handwritten reports. She’s not lying.” Kevin said across the bullpen. This caused a laugh to filter through the unit as they all refocused on their paperwork.
Time passed quickly and lunch time came around. Kim stood and said. “Okay, you ready ladies?”
“For what?” Ruzek called out.
“Well, we are having a ladies’ lunch out of here. Too many nosy ears in this unit.” Vanessa said.
Hailey grabbed Brie’s jacket from her chair as she returned from getting Voight to sign off on certain reports. “Okay, girl. Time for lunch.” She said with a smile.
Ruzek seeking this commented, “Okay, hurt here. Why not us guys too?” he said.
Kim answered him, “Because- one you are a gossip and two, we ladies need to have time without the guys occasionally.” This caused a ripple through the others of mild laughs.
Jay moved to help Brie with her jacket taking his files from her. “Be careful.” He told her. She looked in his eyes and nodded as Hailey looped her arm with Brie’s and led her from the Unit.
The ladies found a quiet sandwich shop not far from the precinct where they could talk as well as be accessible if something happened. Vanessa waited until they were all seated before she spoke up. “Okay, Brie, you called us together. What’s up?”
Brie took a deep breath and looked at each of them. Kim gasped putting all the pieces together. “You aren’t acting, are you? You do care for Jay.” She said out loud.
Brie blushed as Hailey commented, “Geez, maybe a little louder, Kim. Don’t think they heard you back at the precinct.”
Brielle responded blushing, “She’s right, Hailey. I can’t help myself. I think I do love him. But I know I can’t. He only thinks of this as an assignment and I can’t picture him not in my life, so I have to make sure we are at least friends if nothing else.”
“But that has to be hard with what you have agreed to.” Vanessa said.
“I don’t know what else to do. I worry telling him how I feel would risk our friendship and I would rather die than lose him in my life.” Brie said getting quiet.
All three of them placed their hands over hers as Kim spoke up. “Well then, Ladies. We need to get under the skin of a certain Detective.” She said smiling.
Hailey spoke in agreement. “There is something different about you for him, Brie. I saw it day one when you collapsed outside the precinct. He has been defensive and protective from then. He looks at you differently. I warned him but he told me he feels like he has to take care of you. I think he cares but is afraid after what he went through before with Erin.”
Kim then questioned her, “Do you think we can help them past that?”
Brie spoke up, “Yesterday, I told him I was afraid of losing him in my life. That I was worried this would cause our friendship to end. I have told him since the beginning that he is the one I turn to most. He is a safe place for me. I never felt that with anyone before and Michael was just terrorizing.”
Hailey, Vanessa, and Kim all looked at each other and nodded. Kim spoke up next. “Well, then we have a mission. Shopping trip this weekend. We need to step up your game, girl. We need to get under the skin of a CPD Detective.” They all laughed and agreed.
When they returned to the unit with their laughter echoing across the room, Jay’s eyes met Brie’s. She blushed slightly and slid her jacket off and on to the back of her seat. She focused on the files she had on her desk and finished them before taking them into Sergeant Voight’s office. She knocked before he motioned her to come in. “Sorry to interrupt, Sergeant. I finished the case files from Kevin and Adam’s last case. They are all typed awaiting your signature. Vanessa and Kim are already sharing their reports with me for their current case and those are typed and are in the files, awaiting the final outcome of that case.” She said handing folders to him. “Jay and Hailey are still too new in their current case for me to create my forms and paperwork.” She said completing the review of the unit.
He nodded and motioned for her to sit with him. “Good job, Brie. How are you doing?” he asked her.
“I’m okay. This has been a big change for me in the last 2 years, but I think has been good.” She said to him.
“Good to hear. I like seeing you smiling. It reminds me of your mom. Your dad was asking about you yesterday and I told him you seemed to be holding your own and getting stronger.” Hank said to her.
She smiled and blushed a little. “Thank you, Uncle Hank. I haven’t heard someone compare me to Mom before. She is happy for me. We talk at least 3 or 4 times a week. I have felt my life here in Chicago finally come under my control for the most part. I have a good circle of friends who I respect and feel I could turn to at any time.” She said looking him in his eyes.
“Good. Glad to hear it. Talk to your dad for me too, huh? Keeps him from calling me all the time to check on you, okay?” he joked with her.
“Yes, Sir.” She said laughing slightly as she turned to leave his office. Jay turned hearing her laughter and smiled as she walked past.

Can you share your thoughts on what must have been A’s state of mind after the night at the carnival at the end of book 2? Like what was going through their head for the whole month they tried to avoid us?
Buckle up anon because this is going to be a long one. It’s also going to contain pretty heavy spoilers for Book 2 and the first Book 3 demo so I’m going to put this under the cut.
Oh god A was probably all over the place during that month between Books Two and Three. And they were going through the same old feeling denial nonsense they always do, but this time it was dialed up to eleven because A made the gargantuan mistake of letting the detective hold their hand/rest their head on their shoulder and they liked it. And in A’s backwards world, that kind of thing just cannot fly.
A lot of things happened in the last chunk of A’s Book 2 route. Depending on your choices in the Trapper battle, you either got the iconic ‘Tu Omnia’ moment that I guarantee A 10000% remembers taking place or you rescued A and regardless of whether Sanja lived or died as a result A now has to grapple with the fact that you broke orders to save them as well as why you did it. And then on top of that, we get the end of the book where the detective indirectly asks A if they enjoy the way they make them feel (”do you enjoy being off-kilter?”) and A admits that they enjoy it very much. Also don't forget that it’s A who brushes their hand against the detective’s, opening the door for the detective to do more if they so choose. And if they do take it a step further with the hand holding or putting their head on A’s shoulder, A (1) lets it happen and (2) ends the book looking directly at the detective with massive heart eyes. That is a massive amount of progress in a very short amount of time for someone who up until this point has been denying their feelings at every turn. But as always seems to be the case with A, the second that moment breaks they immediately shift into damage control mode.
Here’s what I think happened after Book Two ended: A and the detective enjoy their romantic little moment and either the firework show ends or the rest of UB meets up with them and the second everyone shifts back into work mode A’s monkey brain turns back on and they do their signature move. You know, that “My god, what have I done?!” internal meltdown they always seem to have when so much as one brick from that impenetrable wall surrounding their heart gets knocked down. This is kept mostly at bay until the end of the evening when UB and the detective go their separate ways and A finally gets to be alone with their thoughts at the Warehouse.
This is where A’s heart and head have their latest fist fight. You have the heart who has memorized every detail of that scene under the fireworks: the conversation, the detective’s warmth, how their hand felt/how they felt leaned against them. All of this information has been categorized and tucked away in A’s massive “Definitely Not Romantic Thoughts About the Detective” mental file that they routinely pull up on days when they really want to suffer. But on the other end we have A’s head, the beast of practicality and pessimism who looks at that same firework scene and sees only one thing: danger. And this thought is joined by countless others saying things like “You can't do this,” “They deserve better,” “You’ll only end up hurting them in the end.” And the voices get louder and stronger and more persistent until they completely drown out what the heart is saying. It’s in that moment that A makes the decision to undo the damage they've done by any means necessary. And in this case, “any means necessary” translates to restricting any and all contact with the detective to purely professional matters and avoiding them like the plague in any situation that doesn't meet that criteria. So A spends the month between Books Two and Three doing just that. Conversations are brief and professional, a respectable distance is kept between them and the detective, and any nigglings of romantic feelings are quickly buried down and ignored.
Now if you ask me, all of that avoiding sure has made A quite sloppy in the demo. Like A flashing across the forest to an inch in front of the detective’s face the second they emerge after the encounter with the werewolves? The massive increase of arm and shoulder touches? The influx of word vomit such as the multiple times they explicitly state they're worried about the detective and yet not once do they tack on a hasty “We all are,” to try and cover their tracks? And the tension between A and the detective has always been bad, but never this stifling. I felt like I was being crushed under the weight of it while I was reading. It was that palpable. A is usually way more in control than this, or at least they were. But as is the case with many of life's problems, the more you ignore an issue the worse it seems to get. So now we have a month’s worth of buried feelings piled on top of all the other buried feelings we’ve gotten over the course of the series bubbling to the surface and threatening to spill over. And if A wasn't such a dumbass they would realize that this situation they’ve created for themselves is a thousand times worse than it would've been if they had just faced their feelings head on. But they chose the coward’s way out and they’ll only have themselves to blame when it blows up in their face later. And trust me, that’s going to be one hell of an explosion.

✖️✖️ 8x03 Patience
The one with... Scully & Doggett’s first case - the human bat.
Best: Scully: I never had a desk in here, Agent Doggett but I’ll see that you get one. Love the reference to the Never Again desk fight. Scully deserved a desk and she has held this grudge for years! And despite what Mulder claimed there’s plenty of room for another desk in there! Its a nice gesture, but honestly, I think she just doesn’t want Doggett using Mulder’s desk - their desk.
Worst: The bat creature’s just silly looking, kind of like a flying monkey. Which, given that the only explanation for its existence is something something apes and bats something something evolution... sure. Eh.

Rewatch Thoughts:
Doggett check-in: From the first episode Scully was always curious even when she was trying to get Mulder to provide evidence to support his wild theories. Doggett just seems annoyed, like he’s trying to close the case rather than solve it. At the end of the day he doesn’t care about learning any more about the bat creature, as long as it’s not attacking anyone. Which, fair, I guess, but not someone I’m that interested in spending my x-files tv time with.
Pregnancy check-in: Nothing that I caught. Two weeks go by during this episode and Scully’s completely healed from her injuries from last episode so it’s got to be at least a month since Mulder disappeared, so she has to be at least 6-8 weeks along, right? (Yes I know that trying to look for a coherent timeline for this pregnancy is a futile exercise)
Missing Mulder: She’s trying so hard to take his place on the investigation - she even makes a slideshow! Defending Mulder’s space at the beginning of the episode and then putting away the nameplate at the end of the episode 😢 I think that’s symbolically supposed to be the show moving on from the Mulder abduction storyline (until it/he returns for sweeps) which 😒
Not that Mulder didn’t get his fair share of ridicule from local law enforcement but it feels different when it’s Scully - straining to take on Mulder’s role as believer - against a skeptical partner and a hostile detective with a whole yard full of officers looking on. The flipped gender dynamic makes a difference. So does having a partner who you know has your back even if they don’t agree with your theories.
