Big info drop under the cut
Ghoul
CC-1313 I Formerly Commander Jenot of Battalion 331st (destroyed)
Currently leading Special Cloneforce Hellhounds
Backstory
Upbringing
CC-1313 was raised and trained to eventually become a Clone Comander for the GAR. The majority of his childhood years were spend with his batch brothers and fellow soon to be Commanders Fox and Wolffe to which he remained a close bond of brotherhood even after the tragedy of Toydaria and his fall into absolute disloyalty of the GAR and the Republic. During this time he still used the name Jenot.
Tragedy of Toydaria
Jenot and the 331st served under Pong Krell for the first few months of the war. Even though the 331st was a very skilled and sturdy battillion it suffered great loses under the reckless and uncaring lead of the Jedi General. Shrinking it down to half it's size in the span of only three months.
While still unshaken in his loyality to the GAR and the Republic Jenot couldn't help to develop doubts and distrust in his supiriours. Struggeling a lot to keep his ranks together and his men motivated.
Eventually the separatist launched a grand attack on Toydaria and even though Pong Krell was well aware that he hadn't the capacity to stand against it he still gave the order to engage - although not leading his men himself but calling in the Jedi Knight Uros Io who at this point just recently rejoined the Jedi Order and lacked any practical expirience on the battlefield. Even though General Io was an extremly skilled Jedi, she was of no use as a General in a dire situation like this. And even though she realised her short comings and let Jenot take charge it was apparent that with lacking men and gear this battle was one that couldn't be won.
They managed to hold the line for three weeks before the overpowering seperatist forces started to push them back. Jenot watched his men die like flies and was aware that it would be a shared fate. Being pushed back to the capital the last remaining men of the 331st were killed by an airstrike. A fate Jenot almost shared but escaped due to General Io keeping him alive long enough for the arriving reinforcements to evacuate them.
Recovery on Kamino
For his recovery Ghoul and a handful severly damaged other clones of his battilion were shipped to Kamino while General Io - who suffered from great injuries herself - was treated back at the Jedi Temple. Due to a missunderstanding only Jenot was actually treated on Kamino. His recovery the only one prioritised while the rest of his men were utilised as test subjects for kaminoan expiriments - all of them lethal.
Unable to move or talk or respond in any way Jenot had to wittness the rest of his loyal battilion perish and listening to the staff in charge festered an untamable rage and hatred for the GAR, the Jedi and the Republic. His trust and loyalty shattering for ever, turning him into the man he soon would become. Even though his life was spared due to General Io, he began to nurse a life long hatred of her. Blaming her orders for the inhumane deaths of his men.
During his time in recovery Jenot developed a habit of sneaking out of the medical wing in which he was treated. Seeking silent corners for himself where he could watch the see outside rage. It was in one of those fateful nights he found himself in the company of three clone cadets who had caught rumor about "dead clone walking" - a ghoul risen from the battlefield.
Jenot, unable to overcome his anger and pain- decided to show those unsuspecting kids the reality of war and the reality of what it meant to be a clone: being property and being exploited.
Little did he know that those three exact cadets would become his new squad only two years later.
Embracing the crude name whisperd behind his back, he decided to let Jenot die and embraced the man he had been beaten into - Ghoul.
A Dead Clone Walking
Even with the loss of his arm, fingers, hearing and lower face Ghoul recoverd exeptionally swift. Making no secret out of his newfound hatred for the GAR supiriors in charge intended to get him decommissioned. Plans that fell short due to General Io convincing the Jedi Order to extent protection over the clone commander.
And while Ghoul proved himself to be difficult to work with he was also exceptionally skilled. The decision was made that he would operate solo, taking on special tasks that where considered suicide missions. Whether he failed or not was relativley not important. If he succeeded the Republic had intel, if not they had one pesky clone less to worry about. While getting accostumed to his new prosthetics and regaining back his former strength Ghoul was shortly tasked with overseeing the training of Cloneforce 99. His battlefield expirience deemed highly valuable and wanted to be taught to the expirimental unit to better their chances of success later.
After Kamino
Ghoul spend his time with achiving the impossible. Retrieving whatever was asked off him. He was well aware that the missions picked out for him were exclusively lethal ones. Yet he returned every single time to spite the GAR. To make a point. He was avidence of what the war was actually. The ugly shadow of the Republic. And he wasn't to be silenced. During this time his mind spiraled deeper and deeper into rage. His opinions became borderline traiterous and he walked a very fine line of getting caught for them. It was also the time he dettached himself from the idea of clone brotherhood. Getting rejected in the truth he had lived by fellow soldiers and shuned out, being nothing but a ghost story for them Ghoul grew resentful. Usual loyalty and empathy clones reserved for eachothers died out in Ghoul. Isolating himself even further from others, going as far as questioning if the men he called his actual brothers saw him still as an equal - Saw Ghoul as an equal - or if they only tolerated him because of what they once had.
Becoming Human again
Being pressured by Wolffe to join him for a drink at the 79's Ghoul met Odessa, a Twilek bartender and refugee from Ryloth. Having no interest in making "friends" Ghoul didn't spare Odessa much mind, just as everybody else. But fate brought both of them back together over and over again, causing a presumed dead side of Ghoul to seek out connection again. Slowly falling in love with the gentle, bubbly Twilek back on Coruscant. Giving him an actual reason to come back. A newfound motivation to keep fighting. Not for the GAR, not for the Republic but for her. Falling helplessly in love with her.
Asking her for her hand only a year after only to almost die on a mission and going mission for months afterwards. Leaving a pregnat Odessa behind, unbeknown to him. Though luckily being offered the chance to return due to the unyielding loyalty of his new unit. His Hellhounds - Wizard, 2020 and Fang - who had accompinied him during the mission and kept searching for him after being seperated and eventually succeeding in tracking him down and bringing him back. Greatly injured but alive.
Order 66 and the aftermath
During Order 66 Ghoul was still recovering from his injuries. Allowing himself to spend some time with his wife and newborn child. It didn't take him long that with the fall of the Republic the time of clones was also limted. While during the Republic he had imunity granted due to the Jedi he was defenseless under this new Imperium. Determined to keep his family save Ghoul deserted and escaped the Imperiums graps just in time.
Settling on a small, unimportant planet in the outer rim where he and Odessa build a live for themselves. Around two years after the fall of the Republic, awaiting a second a child Ghoul was visited by Rex, Echo and an old friend Howzer. The three seeked support in their cause to save clones. Ghoul, while initially unwilling to help feeling resentful over the treatment he had reviced over telling the truth even before Order 66 still, eventually agreed to help after Howzer explained that his Hellhounds had fallen victim to the Imperium aswell and were held captive.
Though never fully part of Rex's and Echos clone rebellion, Ghoul often found himself helping out.
With the years passing Ghoul and Odessa had another two kids - teh youngest seemingly sensitive to the Force. Doing what he was best at, Ghoul spend his time building a Guild for Bounty Hunters. Most of them other clones but also his oldest son and daughter. Though the latter eventual leaving the family business to travel the universe alone.
Trivia
Jenot is the polish word for Raccon dog.
Ghoul is deaf and requires hearing aids. Odessa taught him Ryl sign language. He's fluent in basic sign language and Ryl sign language
Ghoul due to his lack of a real tongue can't taste regular food. Odessa makes him super spicy protein bars that he can take onto mission with him.
The tattoo on his right arm is Odessas Lekku pattern. He got it before he asked her to marry him.

Ghoul is the middle brother of the Vulpus Trio- Fox, Ghoul, Wolffe
His favorite colour is azure blue. It reminds him of Odessas eyes
The order of his children is Vahan, Tarkona, Reyk and Rha

Inktober with "Outlanders". Part 3
Tumblr media
13. Horizon. Sheeku returns from a cloud car excursion, which he agreed on with a local ugnaught in exchange for help in the work of repairing equipment, to Cloud City and sees a storm front beginning to form at the edge of Bespin's atmosphere upper layers urging on a herd of beldons.
Tumblr media
14. Roam. Long ago, koorivars lost their homeland forever, and after that they had to wander a lot around the galaxy until they were able to find it again. For this reason, their symbol on Kooriva became a semi-parasitic tropical plant - it has no roots of its own, settling on large vines, but its red-orange flowers are simply enormous. A former koorivar fusilier tells Lamarr about the history of his people and about these flowers, decorating the tallest buildings, as a reminder that those who have no roots will still flourish.
P.S. These are my headcanons about the Koorivar culture and what their planet might look like.
Tumblr media
15. Guidebook. Lamarr talks about life with Gemmo, a religious teacher of the Church of Toydaria. His speeches can be called a guide to life: this cheerful Toydarian is ready to welcome everyone as his guest, he will always treat you to tea, listen, offer to discuss the meaning of life, good and evil, and give wise advice. The temple bell at the top refers to the clan bells of the Toydarians, but it is also surrounded by many smaller bells of various shapes and sizes, symbolizing that the doors of this church are open to a variety of creatures.
Jumping ahead a little, at a certain point in their travels, Sheeku and Lamarr lived on Toydaria for some time, and Gemmo played his role in their story.
Tumblr media
16. Grungy. On Malastare, Sheeku made a bet with the Gran who owned a small motel that if he could get the old shabby podracer that was gathering dust in this Gran's hangar going again, he would be allowed to drive it out of town at night. It was a short drive, but Sheeku got the experience he wanted. And he was lucky to be almost unscathed when this stuff fell apart completely.
Tumblr media
17. Journal. Dakh Dainon, the producer of the travel show "Outlanders", fills out the accounting journal. He is the most experienced member of the crew, and has had some successful projects under his belt before. He believed in Sheeku and Lamarr, seeing the potential in the concept they came up with, and took the risk to develop and promote their idea, despite the fact that they were amateurs. And although the position of the pau'ans in the galaxy has noticeably weakened after the Clone Wars, Dakh managed to maintain his old connections, which greatly help him negotiate filming of such material and in such locations where not everyone is allowed.
Tumblr media
18. Drive. In his travels, Lamarr, like and also Sheeku, rode many different animals, but one of his favorites was definitely the milodon from Quartzite. This giant centipede moves nimbly and smoothly, is capable of reaching the speed of a subtram, and simply looks very impressive.
Tumblr media
19. Ridge. The Kel Dor have not only their own Force tradition, but also their own martial art, and Sheeku is ready to learn it. He will spend several days living in a monastery in the Dorin mountains, sharing the way of life of Kel Dors, who study ancient martial arts, spending much time in intense training that disciplines the body and spirit. It is an unprecedented honor for an alien to achieve such an opportunity, but one Kel Dor put in a good word for Sheeku - he was his mentor and a good friend during his time training as a shuttle pilot on Coruscant.

current brainrot is the clones defecting en masse from the republic and forming their own empire, and the ways that their culture would change and grow once the military regs weren’t forced on them anymore. The vast majority of the Jedi would follow them - the knights aren’t willing to leave their men and the corps are already tired of the republic’s shit. The clones are allowed to paint their armor however the fuck they want but their base color isn’t white anymore it’s whatever color their battalion is - they need a way to firmly distinguish themselves from the clones that haven’t yet swapped sides or the few battalions who didn’t evac fast enough and didn’t hear about the chips before Sheev The Bitchass Motherfucker activated their orders. Their Jedi do the same thing - Obi wan doesn’t much care for the bright yellow and shimmering gold robes but he understands the importance of Presentation in forming a new cultural identity. Satine isn’t too happy when the whoever happens to be leading the clones that week (Fox, Cody, and some of the Alphas trade off periodically. They’re culturally mandalorian, but that doesn’t mean any of them wants the title of Alor) challenges her for leadership of the Mandalore sector and - when she refuses to fight for her people - takes the sector by force. That being said, it doesn’t take more than a brief explanation of the chips and Sheev the Bitchass Motherfucker before she’s at least willing to sit on their council, if only to advocate peace and tease Obi Wan for his wardrobe change.
Plo doesn’t change his wardrobe much, all his clothes were grey already, but the Wolfpack keeps giving him silver jewelry and red silk vests and black robes and he keeps Telling them that Jedi don’t own property and they aren’t listening. They want him in every color BUT grey - every color but the color of mourning. Bly gives Ayala an entire set of pale yellow and turquoise robes and she hugs him on the spot. Yoda doesn’t expect much of a change - the few council members without corresponding clones have taken to wearing white, in an odd contrast to the clone’s own rejection of their white armor. (Some of the commanders joke that it fits - they never fought in the war, so they never earned their colors. They’re still shiny.) But he turns a corner one evening on his way back to his quarters and is met by the few surviving members of the 41st Elite corps, the men who fought with him on Toydaria. One of them hands him a bundle of emerald green and grey fabric, and the for the first time in a very, very long time, Force sings in Yoda’s ears. Quinlan isn’t seen much - he’s spending more time than he should awake and running intel missions, desperately trying to figure out how to evac the Coruscant Guard, half of whom didnt made it out in time. The few times he is seen, he’s been covered head to toe in blood red fabric.
Anakin sees himself in periwinkle blue and pure black for the first time and cries. Ahsoka (rocking cerulean armor and a full-coverage top because Rex lost his Shit the first time someone tried to offer her a tube top) asks him why. Anakin just shakes his head and says “I look like the sky. I look Free.” It’s a long road ahead for him - he didn’t take Sheev the Bitchass Motherfucker’s reveal well, and half the time his eyes are a sickly orange. But the day the 501st stormed Jabba the Hutt’s palace and Freed Tatooine, Anakin laughed, eyes clear and bright and blue, and every Krayt in every desert across the entire planet roared his victory with him.

Beskar Doll - Ch. 30: Out of Reach
You and Din start your hunt for the syndicate. A continuation of Beskar Doll Ch. 1-29 found on Tumblr here.
Tumblr media
Pairing: The Mandalorian/Din Djarin x Female Reader
Warnings: Light smut; canon-typical violence. No use of Y/N. Minors DNI, 18+ Only.
Length: 4.1K
“This is a lot of ground to cover, Mando.”
You were standing next to the massive skull of a Krayt Dragon, the canyon wide and deep. There were pockmarks of caves and caverns, outcroppings and ledges. It would all need searching.
“It’s going to take some time,” he said, looking around.
“How do we want to do this?” You asked, looking up at him. The kid bobbed in his pod nearby, watching the Mandalorian with curious intensity. “Split up and clear the caves one by one?”
He looked down at you.
“My hunt,” he reminded you. You rolled your eyes. “But no. You’re going to go up there,” he pointed to the top of the canyon, the side opposite the skeleton. “And keep watch.”
“What!” You gaped at him. “No, absolutely not.”
“My. Hunt.” You could feel him glaring at you. “You will sit up there and monitor the entrances. You’ll need your rifle, I’ll be relying on you to thin out any aggressors coming in, and send me a message on the com when you see them coming.”
“Is a com link even going to get through that much rock?” You asked, frowning. “I don’t like this…”
“You don’t like it because you’re not the one going into the caves,” he replied wryly. You glared at him. “You’re only happy if you’re the one taking the risk. But if the com can’t get through, all the more reason you should stay topside and take out who you can if need be.”
“So you want me to just sit on my ass for who knows how long while you do the actual hunting.” Your voice was dripping sarcasm. Din didn’t care.
“Yes.”
Your eyes narrowed.
“Are you getting back at me for saving your life on Toydaria?”
“No,” he replied, his voice even. It made you madder, that he was just cool and calm when you could . “I’m telling you to do what I need you to do to complete this job. This was the deal, Doll. You’re welcome to take the kid and go wait aboard the Razor Crest if you disagree.”
You glared at him for a moment before manipulating the control at your wrist, linking the child to you and stalking over to the canyon wall, climbing the steep path to the top.
It took you an hour to make it to the top. Half way up, Din’s voice - almost amused - came through the com.
“You know there’s a speeder bike,” he said.
“Fuck off, Mando,” you griped back, breathless and sweaty. He laughed. You glared down the cliffside at him but kept climbing.
“Tomorrow you’re taking the bike,” he said. “You’re taking too long.”
“You could climb this and I could go searching caves,” you snapped. “Happy to trade.”
“I’m sure you are.”
You made it to the top of the canyon and perched at the edge, rifle on the ground beside you, the kid peering out over the side of the pod and down into the canyon’s depths. Mando’s armor glinted in the sun.
“We’re in position,” you said over the com.
“I’m starting with the lower most cave on the end,” he replied. “Only shoot if you see them going in the same system, don’t give away your position otherwise. Stay put unless it’s unsafe to do so. If something happens and you can get back to your parents’ house safely, we’ll rendezvous there. If you can’t, get to Mos Eisley and back to Peli and the Crest. Understood?”
“Understood,” you rolled your eyes and watched as the glinting beskar went into the cave. You sighed and looked at the kid, his eyes wide.
“Your dad is a piece of work, you know that?”
He cooed.
“We’ll try to keep you from inheriting that trait.”
Sitting on the top of the canyon watching the horizon was well, boring. You spotted dewbacks in the distance, banthas too. Some signs of the Sand People you used to trade with now and then. You noticed the different colors in the rock, the streaks of pinks and whites blended with the orange and yellow. You wished you knew more about what caused things like that. Wished you knew about things beyond politics and manipulation and how to kill people. There’d never been room for things like how canyons were formed when you were studying. You wished you’d been something besides a tool.
You worked with the kid the best you could, moving on from trying to let him into your mind and shifting to what he could do physically.
“Think you can catch it?” You asked, holding up the small, silver ball from one of the levers on the Razor Crest’s dash that he was so attached to.
“Patu,” his eyes met yours and you felt just how much he wanted the ball.
“OK buddy,” you said as clearly as you could. “I’m going to drop the ball. You try to catch it before it hits the ground, OK?”
His eyes met yours, the wanting still there with some kind of understanding. Whether or not he actually understood you was another matter but it was a good enough place to start, you supposed.
“One, two, three!”
You dropped the ball and it fell to the sand. He started toddling for it but you picked it up and held it up high again. He frowned.
“You have to catch it before it hits the ground to get it,” you said. “Like this.”
You dropped the ball with one hand and caught it with the other.
“See?” You said. “Do that, but with the force. OK?”
“Patu.”
“You’ve got this, Kiddo,” you held the ball up again. “One, two, three!”
You dropped it and it fell to the sand, but it seemed to go a bit slower right at the end. Or so you thought. Maybe you were imagining things.
You did it again and again and - on the 11th drop - the ball stopped about two inches above the sand, the kid’s face scrunched in concentration, his little hand outstretched.
“You did it!” You clapped your hands and smiled at him, broadly. He squealed and the ball dropped to the sand. He toddled forward and grabbed it. “You little jedi you!”
He clambered onto your lap, ball clenched tightly in his tiny fist and you held your arms up to keep him from falling off as he got settled.
“Doll?” Din’s voice was scratchy on the com link. “Do you read?”
“You’re hazy but I copy,” you replied, putting one hand in front of the child for him to hold and play with. “What’s up, Mando?”
“Heading up now,” he said. “Nearly there. No signs of them here. Start heading down to meet me.”
“Yes sir,” you said, a teasing edge to your voice. You gathered up your things - and the kid in his pod - and started the trek down the canyon. He reached it just before you did.
“Did you ignore a com from me today?” He asked by way of greeting.
“No,” you frowned. “Why?”
He sighed.
“We’ll be running silent for a lot of this,” he said. “The com can’t get through the rock once I’m about halfway into the caves.”
“Shit,” you sighed.
“It’s not ideal,” he agreed. “We just have to be diligent.”
You climbed on the back of the speeder, the kid tucked in between you, and the Mandalorian took you back to your family home.
The small house on the dunes still gutted you when you saw it. You knew what it held, what had happened in its walls. Why you’d ever lived there to begin with. You tried to put it out of your mind, passing the kitchen with its blood splattered cabinets and disturbed place settings and heading straight for your room.
You got out rations for you and Din, crackers and jerky for the kid. You tucked the baby onto your lap and faced a wall so the Mandalorian could eat something, too. The meal passed in silence. You didn’t really feel like talking. When the helmet had returned to his head, you handed him the child.
“I’m going to go watch the sunset,” you said, not waiting for a response.
You rushed past the kitchen and out the door, going to the side of the house where part of the wall had worn away and you could get an easy foothold. You scaled the wall to the roof, clambering up to the apex of the dome. You tucked your legs against your chest, resting your head on your knees as the sky changed colors. Vibrant oranges and purples and red met the sand. You watched them slowly shift and change, the light growing dimmer by the minute. The suns were almost down when Din joined you on the roof.
“I always wanted to paint the sunsets here,” you said after a moment. “They’re so beautiful. All the color, the two suns, the way the sand plays with the light…”
“Why don’t you.”
You almost laughed. He so rarely actually asked.
“I don’t know how,” you sighed. “Wouldn’t even know where to start. Wish I did but…” you shrugged.
“Didn’t teach you that in queen school,” his tone was light but still curious.
“For the people who might actually be queens,” you said. “I was too busy learning how to protect one to learn something like art. But I’d like to learn.”
You kept watching as the last sliver of sunlight dipped below the horizon, the galaxy spilling out overhead.
“We can find a new place to be,” he said after a moment. You could feel his eyes on you but you kept watching the horizon.
“No,” you shook your head. “No, I want to be here. I need to be here.”
He was quiet for a moment.
“Can I help you?”
You turned your head to him then. There was something about his armor, the gentle arcs and contours of it. It was graceful and lethal even in stillness. It was beautiful. He was beautiful. Even if you never saw his face you knew he was beautiful.
“Touch me?” You asked, voice quiet.
He didn’t answer, just wordlessly moved so he was positioned behind you. He pulled your body back against his and removed his gloves, sliding his hands down your body. His fingers skimmed over your skin, leaving a trail of pebbled flesh in their wake. They worked their way down, one stopping at your waist, wrapping around you below your shirt, fingers splayed wide against your flesh. The other slipped into your pants, two fingers finding your clit.
He worked you over slowly, gently, gradually building your orgasm until you were aching and desperate for it.
“Din,” you whimpered, two of his fingers deep inside you, his thumb slowly, firmly working your clit.
“I know, Doll,” he said gently. “It’s OK. I have you. You can let go with me. I have you. Just let go.”
You came with a choking sob, all the tension leaving your body in a rush as he pulled you tighter against him.
“I have you,” he said softly. “I have you.”
When you went to bed, you gently pulled the child from his pod. You felt bad disturbing him, his eyes cracking open as he gave a tiny yawn, but you were too desperate to feel close to him and the Mandalorian. Din removed all his armor but his helmet and you held the child gently between you. He nuzzled into your chest and easily calmed and you fell asleep there, Din’s arms around you as you held his child close.
Searching the canyon was time consuming. The next few days were more of the same. Din deposited you early at the top of the canyon and then he went to the bottom. On the second day, he was able to clear three smaller cave groups. On day three, just one. You kept working with the child on his force abilities, coaxing him to use his skills, build them up.
You were practicing more of his skills with reading minds and projecting his feelings when you saw something on the horizon. You quickly put the child back in his pod and got out the binocs. It was a hoard of speeder bikes, a few dozen at least, racing towards Beggar’s Canyon.
As you grabbed your rifle, you tried to calm yourself down. It could be anything. Kids liked to race the canyon, shoot womp rats from their speeders. Hell, they could even just be headed for Mom Espa. But something in you told you that wasn’t the case.
The speeders came to a stop near the skeleton in the canyon, everyone dismounting. They were armed to the teeth, large and intimidating. You watched them, waiting to see where they were headed. Your stomach sank like a stone when they went into the same cave the Mandalorian had disappeared into hours before.
“Dank farrik,” you muttered, readying your rifle.
You started with the ones closest to the cave’s entrance, hoping to draw them away. They reacted immediately, your shot landing smoothly. They started to scatter, you saw them calling out on com links. You fired again, looking for those with the least cover. It took you a few shots but you felled another one. You fought to focus as they looked to find where to shoot, figure out what to do.
“Mando, Mando, come in Mando,” you said into your com. There was no response. “Fuck.”
At least three had made it into the cave. It wasn’t until the kid squealed that you realized you had a whole other set of problems.
There was a second group of a few dozen men on speeders, racing up the canyon toward you.
“Shit,” you muttered, still aiming for the people outside the cave. You felled another one. One leaned out to talk to some others, pointing in your direction. It exposed four of them and you got off four rounds, one right after the other, each shot landing and dropping one of them. You could hear the speeders now.
“Mando, Mando, Mando!” you said again, lining up another shot. It missed. You fired again, hitting this time. Din didn’t respond. The child sent a wave of terror at you. “I know kid, I know! I’ll keep you safe…”
You thought, as quickly as you could. There wasn’t a way you were getting out of this, that much was clear. You tried not to think about that right now, you’d have the luxury to break once you got through this part. You could get the kid out, get Din out. You couldn’t risk them, they were too important, you had to keep them safe, if anything happened to them you couldn’t live with it. You fired two more shots, dropping two more near the cave entrance, before yanking the control cuff Din had just given you off your wrist. You flipped the comm function to record.
“Din,” you said quickly. “I’m overrun. I’m sending the kid to you, take him and get the fuck out of here. If I live, I’ll get to you when I can, I’ll get to Karga and send word through him. Take care of yourself, take care of the kid….” You paused for a moment, knowing you didn’t have the time but not able to say it without it feeling like there was a fist in your chest. But you had to. If you weren’t going to get another chance, you had to say it, you couldn’t take it to your grave. You had to say it. “I love you, Din. So much. Stay safe.”
You quickly set up another shot and fired, quickly following it with another, killing two more before you tossed the cuff into the pod with the kid.
“I love you, little guy,” you said, holding his gaze. He felt so scared. “I’m going to keep you safe, OK? I’m sending you to your dad and I’m going to clear a path for you. You’ll be safe with your dad. Try to remember that I love you, OK?” You kissed his tiny forehead. “I’ll keep you safe.”
You pushed the button on your cuff, switching control of the pod to Din, quickly sealing it before it started racing for his last known location inside the cave. You immediately dropped back onto your stomach, firing shot after shot, watching for anyone who noticed the pod and taking them down. You’d killed 20 men when the first one reached you.
He grabbed your shoulder and you flipped onto your back, kicking him in the stomach and sending him stumbling back. You ripped your sidearm from its holster and shot him point blank. He dropped like a stone.
The others you had about 30 seconds on. You quickly rolled back to the rifle, assessing where the child was. You fired another shot as the pod disappeared into the cave. More hands were on you.
“She needs to be alive!” Someone yelled. “The boss needs to know who she’s with, we need her alive!”
You adjusted your grip on your rifle, wielding it almost like a staff, swinging the butt of it around and hitting one of the men touching you in the face. It caught him off guard and he stumbled. You took advantage of it, sweeping his legs out from beneath him. The other man tried to rip the rifle from your hands but you held firm, slamming your head into his nose. He yelped and released your gun, stumbling back from you. You took advantage of him being off balance and swung your gun into the side of his head. It was just enough to send him over the edge of the cliff. You scrambled to your feet, dropping the rifle and pulling out your blaster, gasping for breath. There were dozens of them, dozens, and they had your back to a cliff’s edge.
“Don’t make this worse for yourself,” one moved toward you, cautiously, a knife in their grip. “You can’t escape us.”
“No,” you panted. “But I can take some of you with me.”
You shot him and he dropped. One rushed you from the left and you tried to get a shot off but weren’t fast enough, missing the person moving for you and clipping another on the shoulder instead. He grabbed you around the middle and you brought your elbow down into his liver. He groaned but held you tight. You slammed your head back, catching his nose and feeling it collapse below your skull. He released you, stumbling back from you and you took half a second to grab the vibroknife, stabbing it into his ribs as he went. He went down with a scream.
While you were distracted with him, two more came for you, overwhelming you. You thrashed in their grip, trying to get off another shot or bring your knife down, but they held you firm. A third person appeared over you, a sickening smile on his face as he brought the butt of his blaster down against your skull, knocking you out cold. Your last thoughts were of Din.
***
He heard the threat before he saw it.
This cave was the most promising yet, signs of regular movement through the system, especially as he got deeper. Of course, by the time he tried to tell you this, there was too much rock between you for the message to get through. He was getting close to what he thought was a storage site when he heard a voice - faint, in the distance. He drew his weapon and turned to meet them head on.
There were just three at first. He kicked the first one in the chest, sending him flying back into the other two before he shot each one, leaving them on the floor of the cave. If there were people getting through…
He started running for the cave entrance. Two more made it through and he killed them, too. Five more after that, their blaster bolts bouncing uselessly off his beskar as he shot them one by one.
“Doll!” He was still too deep in the cave to get word to you by com but he had to try. “Doll, come in, Doll…”
Three more this time. He killed them. He pressed on, running as fast as he could, the cave seeming so much longer now than it had when he had been finding his way through the first time. The next thing the cave is what terrified him.
He went into one of the larger antechambers and the kid’s pod whisked over to him, sealed tight. There was a chime at his wrist. The pod had been switched to him.
He opened it, the child safely inside, his eyes wide and ears low. Your cuff was inside, too. The kid whimpered. Din’s hand shook as he pulled the cuff out, and indicator light showing there was a recorded message. He pressed play.
“Din, I’m overrun. I’m sending the kid to you, take him and get the fuck out of here. If I live, I’ll get to you when I can, I’ll get to Karga and send word through him. Take care of yourself, take care of the kid…. I love you, Din. So much. Stay safe.”
His stomach dropped. His head spun.
“No.”
He dropped the cuff back in the pod and ran. He wasn’t sure for how long.
There was no one left alive outside the cave when he got there but he could see a body lying at the base of the cliff you’d been camped out on. He jumped on a speeder bike, quickly attaching the pod to the back, and raced up the cliff to where you were.
You’d been more than overrun. There was evidence of dozens of men up here. There were a few dead and the signs of a scuffle. You were gone. You loved him. You loved him and you were gone, they’d taken you…
There was a groan to his left. A man he thought was dead was still hanging on. He knelt beside him, looking the man over. There was a gaping knife wound at his chest, his nose broken.
Din tried to focus. They had you. He needed to get you back. To do that, he’d need information. Which means this man needed to live. For now.
He slapped the man’s face and he groaned, his eyes fluttering open.
“Shit,” he breathed, eyes ranging over the Mandalorian.
“The woman who was here,” he said, trying to keep his voice flat. “Where did they take her.”
“Sure you’d like to know,” he laughed, gurgling on his own blood. Din growled, straightening his glove before he thrust two fingers into the knife wound you’d left on his chest. The man screamed, thrashing and wailing. He kept his fingers inside him.
“Tell me,” he growled. “Now.”
“Fuck you,” the man spat.
Din’s free hand went to the man’s face, gripping his chin, forcing him to look at his helmet.
“You can tell me now,” Din said. “Or you can tell me later. One will hurt you much, much more.”
“Fuck. You.”
Din’s fingers spread inside the cut. The man screamed as his flesh tore. Din didn’t care.
“Where. Is. She,” his voice shook. His fingers spread more. The man’s skin gave way so easily. Or, at least, it felt easy. He couldn’t tell how much strength he was using. Everything was numb, every part of him doing anything but screaming to find you had no feeling.
“There’s an old palace!” He cried eventually. Din’s fingers stopped spreading. “In the north, in the Dune Sea. Abandoned years ago, that’s where everyone goes, that’s where she’ll be….”
Din pulled his fingers from the man’s injured side. The man was gasping, panting for breath. He looked the Mandalorian up and down and smirked, blood sticky between his teeth. “They’re going to interrogate her. You’d better pray you find her before they do or you might not want her back.”
Din stood up, looking down at the bleeding man.
“She is the only prayer I know,” he drew his blaster, aiming it at the man’s head. His voice was calm. Inside, he was raging. “And you took her from me.”
He shot him. He holstered the weapon as he went to the speeder bike. He wasn’t going to do what you told him. This was his hunt. He wasn’t going to leave you here. He was coming for you and it was the syndicate who should pray.

TCW Rewatch: Season 3 Episodes 1-4
Not much to say about these episodes but I love the clones and Riyo Chuchi so it’s nice to see them.
Episode 1: Clone Cadets
* Echo and Fives Kamino backstory episode
* Why does cutup have such a wildly different accent
* Dont be mean to 99
* Or Echo
* No wonder you fucking suck, you all treat eachother like shit
* Shaak ti vouching for domino squad and the humanity of the clones <3
* I love Shaaki Ti
* The interaction between cutup and brick is my favorite bc hes so snarky toward him and has like zero respect for him
Episode 2: ARC Troopers
* Is this episode another flashback episode? It ties into the Rishi Moon episode in season one i think
* The Hevy tribute on their armor is such a great detail
* Kamino was already having an issue stretching Jango’s dna and now the dna is getting targetted, is it not possible to clone the clones? Or use one of the unaltered clones dna? How does cloning work?
* Oh no not Colt:(
* Love to see Obi Wan throwing Grievous around
* Oh no…
* Rex comforting Cody after 99 is so sweet
* I do like that we get more clone episodes this season
Episode 3: Supply Lines
* Separatists attacking Ryloth
* Naming him Ima-Gun Di is cruel amd hilarious
* The Jedi Council are contacting Bail to help get supplies to Ryloth due to the Separatists destroying the fleet protecting Ryloth and breaking their supply lines
* Why would anyone ever send JarJar to do any negotiations
* I still dont totally understand Dooku’s motives, I want to study him like a bug
* Toydaria is closed to outsiders, for what purpose? Like specific reason, other than the ongoing war.
* I thought Toydaria was one of the Republics allies??? That was liek the whole first episode of this series?
* Toydaria already sided with the republic over the separatists in the very first episode what changed?
* The freedom fighters are losing faith in the Republic to help them
* The Trade Federation is arguing against helping the Twileks
* Toydaria denies Organa the formal base to transfer supplies, but allows them to transfer what they have behind the trade federation’s back
* JarJars only skill is circus tricks?
* Cpt Keeli has a sick ass design
* Oh :(
* Oh shit hes.. oh no hes dead dead this time
* I should stop liking side clones
* If I ever have to see Cody die i think I would actually mourn irl
* “The Republic has heart, my friend, but I am not convinced it has the strength to prevail”
* King of Toydaria is reconsidering his neutrality and sets up a meeting with the Jedi?? Why not the Senate? Or something like that?
* Actually the Senate’s whole issue is that its ineffective because procedures and such slow all progress to a halt, so i kinda get it
Episode 4: Sphere of Influence
* The Riyo Chuchi episode!
* Trade federation has blockaded pantora, causing political unrest and rallying pantorans against the Senate. Dooku offers aid in exchange for and alliance with the Separatists
* Its well known that the Trade Federation is aligned with the Separatists, so says riyo, but last episode it was treated like it was meant to be uncertain in universe
* Ok no i get it, the TF trades with both republic and separatists and claims to be neutral although they have a clear bias and repeatedly blockade republic worlds
* I love Riyo so much
* The new pantoran chairman is pushing to ally with the separatists to aid their people
* Its an interesting tactic the separatists keep using, to blockade a world with a “neutral” party and then offer their assistance in exchange for an alliance, using the issues of the Senate to their advantage bc the Senate would never vote to help in time.
* Its very “cause problems to set yourself up as a hero” of them especially after the kidnapping
* I do really enjoy the political espionage episodes i think theyre so enjoyable
* I have a really ungood feeling about today, i just got wild deja vu from this episode
* How old is Riyo Chuchi? She looks to be slightly older than ahsoka by maybe a few years? But the youngest Senators were mon mothma at 19 and leia at 18 so she must be older
* The Pantoran Chairman is friends with Jabba??? How?
* Pantorans have better aim than most droids or soldiers we see
* Girlboss Chuchi is one of my favorite characters
* So the trade federation is just allowed to blockade whoever? That can’t possibly be legal

Watching TCW has revealed that my media comprehension when it comes to battles and politics is total crap. Examples:
Me: “Wait, why are the Republic and the Separatists fighting over who could protect Toydaria better? They’re the ones fighting. Their war is the whole reason Toydaria would need protection.”
Husband: “Yes.”
Me: “Ohhh they’re trying to convince Toydaria whose side to support in the war?”
Husband: “Yes.”
(Dooku tells Grievous there will be a strategic hostage for him to take, and then Padme shows up because she had been given orders from the senate to go there)
Husband: “Wow, Palpatine is just trolling everybody.”
Me: …
Me: …Ohhh I get it, Palpatine told Padme to go there because he’s on the senate. I’ll pretend I understood that immediately
(A ship that I thought Grievous was on flies into a moon and blows up)
Me: “And then Grievous DIED.” *wondering how they’re going to show Grievous surviving that*
Husband: “What are you talking about. That ship only had droids on it. Grievous is on a different ship.”
Me: “…Oh”

We’re back with our rewatch of The Clone Wars in chronological order! We’re talking about the “Toydaria arc”: Supply Lines (303) and Ambush (101). In this episode we discuss: The role of Jar Jar Binks as diplomat and distraction as well as Bail Organa and his tactics of negotiation with Toydarians.  The actual first episode of the Clone Wars with Yoda and the clones and how this episode stands…

Em’s Star Wars Rewatch part 5:
The Clone Wars #3 - Toydaria (3x03 & 1x01)
3x03: Supply Lines
The Jar Jar episodes always drag, but overall this is actually a good episode. I actually like seeing the politics behind the war.
I really like seeing the native population fighting alongside the clones. Of course the people would want to defend their planet from being invaded. I wish we saw this on other planets and got to see more of the relationship between the clones and the native population.
Captain Keeli, you might have only been in half an episode but you will always be a hero.
"Well, let's make the end memorable!” - they knew they were going to die but held out as long as they could to allow the civilians to escape. For an episode that could easily have just been filler, I got rather emotional. We don’t often see Jedi fall, it reminds us they aren’t invincible.
1x01: Ambush
Yoda is unhinged. Just casually giggling, making snarky comments, meditating in the middle of battle, and absolutely annihilating the enemy. He cut through half an army by himself - I feel like he could win the war single handedly if he actually tried.
Also Yoda completely owning Ventress. Wasn’t even a contest.
I loved Yoda’s comments about the clones and how they are individuals in the force. It’s such a key part of the show and I like that they made it clear in the first episode of the show. I also loved that Yoda gave each advice based on his observations of them, it really showed he had paid attention to them as individuals.

What...? The Jedi were absolutely aware that they were in the middle of a war, that's why Mace looks like his soul is leaving his body in the meeting with Palpatine in AOTC, because they really don't want to go to war, they literally had to be drafted into it because they didn't want it. The Clone Wars is one long string of them trying desperately to save people because they're in the middle of a war and the other option is to do nothing about it and there's a whole storyline in TCW where Bail goes to Toydaria and the theme is, "Neutrality is not compassion in the face of evil being done." The Jedi are never like, "Wheeee! Fighting people is fun!", they instead try to negotiate right up until the Republic makes negotiation with the Separatists illegal. Even in the final months of the war, Mace is still offering the droids the chance to surrender because they won't win and he could just mow through them, but he'd rather give them a chance. They're aware this is war and there just aren't any good options. The Jedi did not reject Anakin or his fears--they do say that you have to overcome fears because that's literally how the Force works, Lucas has been extremely clear that the dark side is based on fear, if you act out of fear, that is the dark side. That's basic worldbuilding. And the Jedi were very accepting of Anakin--Mace compliments him on Vanqor, Luminara compliments him on Geonosis, Aayla compliments him on Maridun, Jocasta encourages Ahsoka to talk to him because he'll understand her troubles, Plo compliments Anakin's teaching when Ahsoka is missing, that he's trained her so well she'll survive anything, etc. Hell, they gave him a youngling to train, that's their most sacred duty, because they believed he would help her and they had faith in him. And who did Anakin ever even tell his anxieties about his mother to? The only scene we ever see him say anything is AOTC where he says he's dreaming about her, nothing beyond that. When Obi-Wan says dreams pass in time (because Anakin did not say they were disturbing dreams), Anakin changes the subject and says he'd rather dream of Padme, making nothing about what he tells them indicate that this was something that needed more care. The Jedi aren't perfect, they miss things, they make mistakes, but this is my point, that you could say the same thing about Padme, who never helps Shmi despite that she ate at her table and her son saved Padme's planet. She ignores that Anakin told her that he killed children on Tatooine and only said, "Being angry is human." as if he wasn't talking about murdering kids. She's willing to run away with him after he joined the Sith and murdered more children. She doesn't actually help Teckla, who works for her and is suffering under the wartime restrictions and poverty it induces. And that's not saying that Padme is a horrible person! There are reasonable explanations, context, and defenses for all of those things! Both in-world and out-of-world, she is a compassionate, caring person doing her best with only shitty choices available to her. And my point is that the Jedi are in the same boat, that they make mistakes and miss things and have flaws, but I don't condemn them for it any more than I would condemn Bail Organa for being part of the Empire when it rose or Padme for ignoring Anakin's warning signs.
The Jedi are flawed. Obi-Wan has an entire movie when he's 25 where he's a snarky asshole sometimes, he hurts his friends sometimes. Qui-Gon is hypocritical in that he says, oh, I don't presume anything when he very much is presuming things and also treats his current Padawan roughly in favor of a new one. Jocasta is a little full of herself and her archive. Ahsoka takes 30+ years to get her shit together about what Anakin did, she routinely snaps at people for things that aren't their fault. Mace has a tense day and is brusque about it. Shaak doesn't immediately believe Fives. Kit can't get through to Nahdar about how he's handling the war. These are all flaws! They come from incredibly sympathetic places and I bet half of you are thinking of reasons why these actions aren't so bad, hell I've written essays in the past about why these are sympathetic places to be coming from, that it's entirely understandable why they act why they do! That's not the point I'm making here. The point is: they're still flaws and they make for more interesting characters, but that I don't believe they should be condemned for them. So many times "flawed" is meant as the same thing as "so we must think they're corrupt, arrogant people who everyone should be shaking their finger at" (often with a side bonus of "and that's why they fell" as if you can separate out that Sidious was going for genocide from the beginning, as if that wasn't always the shape of the story we're seeing). So many times, "You just can't admit your faves are flawed." When, no, I think the Jedi are flawed like I think Luke is flawed, like Leia is flawed, like Han is flawed, like Padme is flawed, like Bail is flawed. They all get to make mistakes, to miss things, to stumble, to have a frustrating day, to snap at someone out of turn, etc. I just don't think those flaws are worthy of condemnation and I don't think the Jedi's flaws are worthy of condemnation either.

TCW Rewatch notes: Season 1 Episodes 1-4
This started as an attempt to analyze the political climate of the star wars galaxy in timeline order, however, my notes on the clone wars series slowly became less and less serious bc it is infact a kids show.
There is probably some entertainment value to be found here so enjoy!
Episode 1: Ambush
Dooku attempts to sway Toydaria to the separatists side
Sent Ventress to sway Toydarian ruler from allying with the Republic
Ventress challenges Yoda to fight for Toydarias alliance
Toydarian ruler didnt appreciate ventress and dookus underhanded methods
Yoda wins the alliance and Ventress attempts an assassination on the Toydarian Ruler which was then stopped by Yoda
Ventress manages to escape arrest fleeing back to separtist forces
I didnt have much to say past the narration. Although Yoda is the first Jedi we see interacting with the Clones in the show and i wish I had made more notes on that
Episode 2: Rising Malevolence
Plo Koons fleet track grievous’s ship searching for a devastating secret weapon, Plo contacts Anakin but his communications cut out due to interference
Both ships engage in combat and Grievous uses the weapon to drain Plos ships of power and destroys the ships
Plo escapes with Commander Wolffe and other clones in an escape pod and Dooku sends droids to hunt down survivors
Is that a war crime? Its definitely fucked up
Ahsoka and Anakin want to run a rescue mission but the council and Palpatine have deemed it unnecessary due to the lack of previous survivors and Plo and the clones are presumed dead
Arguably palps clearly just didnt want them snooping and he had sway over the council but presuming they were dead because they just must be is wack
The clones don’t believe their lives are of value and thus assume no one will rescue them, Plo disagrees
Plo and his remaining troopers are targeted by the hunter droids, they defend themselves obvi
“We’re just clones, sir, We’re meant to be expendable” “not to me”
I do love seeing Plo’s relationship with his men
Anakin and Ahsoka save plos survivors and Plo reveals the secret weapon is an ion canon
Dooku doesnt want any witnesses to the weapon, Anakins ship outruns the ion canon and returns to his own fleet
Its worth noting that I actually am not familiar with what are and are not war crimes as defined and listed by the geneva conventions. Its mostly guessing and what I think is just egregious enough to be a war crime
Episode 3: Shadow of Malevolence
Anakin prepares a counterattack on Grievous and the weapon
The ion canon fs goes in the star wars geneva conventions right?
Dooku plans to exploit the fact that the jedi treat the clones like people which is wild
The separatists attacked medical transports thats definitely in the geneva convention
The separatists are specifically targeting the injured soldiers
Yeah fuck that ion canon up
Anakin grieving the clone deaths
Again mostly narration, from here on out I start including my personal thoughts as well.
Episode 4: Destroy Malevolence
Obiwan aims to capture grievous causing grievous to attempt to flee
Dooku tells Grievous to take Padme hostage whose ship stumbles into the path of the Malevolence. Padme is sent by Palps to investigate a lead on the banking clan potentially leaving the separatists.
This is potentially a ploy to put her in greivous’ path by putting her in the area and giving Dooku her information
Padme was told by palps that the Banking Clan wanted to discuss a treaty
Padme is captured and tells Ani to disregard her safety and destroy the ship
She knows its a trap but she doesnt suspect palps?? Come on Padme
Padme is what Satine wants to be
Thats is to say, a Badass
“Stowaway” bro you abducted her
Padme and Anakin having the worst kept secret relationship
Obi wan is trying to destroy the hyperdrive to stall Grievous’ escape while Anakin and Padme escape to the Twilight
Or Ani is sabotaging the Hyperdrive with Padme and Obi is playing as a distraction
The barrage continues
Grievous ghosts Dooku and Anakin drive the Malevolence into a moon (hopefully uninhabited and not dire to any solar systems…)
Thusfar the War Crime count is:
Separatists: questionably 3?
Republic: 0 as of now. This will change
