simple toymod of ko elita nicee

So I got the Cdl 02 Alt in yesterday, AKA, the knockoff of Big Firebird Nicee with an Elita head and colourscheme slapped on, and something bothered me immensely about her: 

Her weird toddler-baby-doll face. (The promotional image on the box is displayed with her plastic white chest, which is one hard piece. No, it does not come with a more modest and robotic option.)

So I took one of the spare faces I had from my masterpiece Arcee, shaved down the parts that stuck out as indicated, cut off the forehead of the doll-head (as you can see in the pictures, where the face is there but the forehead is cut off) fitted and checked if everything looked good, adjusted where needed and glued the forehead and MP Arcee’s shaved down face together. 

So now my knock off Elita looks like this: 

MP Arcee’s face is a bit odd, but that is mostly because of the eyes, and the advantage here is, that Elita’s helm shape takes care of that; Personally, I think Elita looks better with longer eyes than Arcee anyway, and the faceplate portion of the helmet visually narrowed them so they actually look good on her. 

(Here she is displayed with the weird rubber chest, simply because the neck guard part matches the rest of her neck guard better. And with weird rubber chest I mean that the mammaries on the robot go squish. Yes. Really. That design choice was also part of the original Nicee. I am not the target audience.)

But, of course, that doesn’t change the fact that I have an MP Arcee with an awkward face, among other things (MP Nightbird did it better, despite being nearly the same toy), and a Big Firebird Nicee that, I found out upon buying, unfortunately didn’t come with the Arcee head she had in her earlier promotion pictures, leaving her with both the awkward doll-face and the awkward chest. 

The rest of her was still a really great design, though her transformation isn’t as fun as some, but that chest and face.... Fortunately, empurata is a thing in Transformers canon, so I could just apply some body horror! 

So yeah, MP Arcee permanently has her glasses on, and Nicee has a more personable face now... by not having one at all! 

Also: the KO Elita without the weird chest bit is somehow more accurate, simply because there’s a peach-coloured bar behind the part:

It has been a WHILE since I sat down and modded a figure for my personal collection. I recently grabbed Doomguy from @mcfarlane_toys_official I haven't played Doom since I was a kid but I LOVED that game. I really liked this new design. McFarlane did a fantastic job... except on the arms and "neck." He could not hold his shotgun properly and it drove me crazy. I went to work on this figure the day I received it. I did a full arm transplant using a @necaofficial Akuma. I dremeled and cut with a razor blade EVERY piece of armor and repurposed all of the factory parts. I couldn't believe the figure came with absolutely no neck! I added one from the Akuma as well. I even added a head inside the helmet using the old Adam Warlock. It's only use is to keep the helmet o. The neck. It can be removed. I will be doing a regular head at some point. Before I hung up all my props, I took some pictures of them. This is my toy modded Lancaster Repeater from #reddeadredemption2 It was originally a toy which I bought in Frontier Land in Disneyland.
