DAVIDO O.B.O ALBUM LAUNCH
The hype that had preceded this concert /album launch was unprecedented. Radio hypes, magazines, television, blogs all the works was put to use, what would one have expected from the Omo baba olowo (Rich Man’s Son). Davido’s dad is a multi-millionaire many times over, many call him a billionaire, but safely put we address him as a multi-millionaire. The young dude is also the nephew of former Osun State Governor in the person of Isiaka Adeleke aka Serubawon. David Adeleke aka Davido is the son of top Businessman Deji Adeleke. So looking at it properly, money would most definitely not have been an issue with the 19 years old dude. Men! The guy still young oooo, and he can only go on from here to improve his craft.
Did the concert live up to the billing? In terms of the number of crowd and quality, Yes! What about in terms of performance? We would have to be very careful about that, while some were of the opinion that it was a great concert and that the dude tried, not forgetting he his 19, others were of the opinion that it was an anti-climax, that they had expected so much more, some even complained that he lip-synched through out his performance, on that we can’t blame the guy, 90 percent of the singers/ musicians everywhere all over the world do same, except for the very sure ones like Tuface, Joe, R-Kelly, Akon and many others, not many artist can go au naturel especially where auto-tune might not be readily available.
But let’s give it to the guy, many said it was the first time they would see the acclaimed ‘Richest Black Man’ in the world-Alhaji Aliko Dangote sit through a music concert from start to the end, there were many others also in attendance, we saw some royal fathers, we saw the Publisher of Ovation International, Bashorun Dele Momodu and many others. Many were at the event and apparently had fun. We have more than a hundred plus pictures of those who attended for your viewing pleasure. Please check it out. Enjoy!!!!!!

Video from the series "String of Pearls" directed by Cinzia Th. Torrini/ Written & directed by: Cinzia Th. Torrini / Production: Cassiopea Film Production S.r.l., Rome/for Marchesi Antinori S.p.A., winemakers
Voice over: Edwin Alexander Francis
N°. 1: Le Mortelle
The Le Mortelle estate is located in the Tuscan Maremma near the town of Castiglione della Pescaia. It was once part of a even larger property called La Badiola, important enough to be already identified on the maps of Grand Duke Leopoldo II of Tuscany in the 19th century. The Hapsburg Lorraine rulers of the Grand Duchy, by draining the marshy and malaria-ridden area around Grosseto, the local capital, wished to make their La Badiola and Alberese estates model properties for the raising of cattle.
The estate has belonged to the Antinori family since 1999, and it has worked both on the vineyards and the new cellars with the firm conviction that the area, at the time just emerging into prominence in the overall panorama if Italian wine, had a very significant potential for the production of high quality wine. The family also believed that here the finest characteristics of the terroir and the varieties to be planted could fully find an excellent expression.
Mortella is the name of the wild myrrh which characterizes this coastal area of Tuscany and is the symbol of the property: it also derives its name from this fragrant Mediterranean shrub.

The Guado al Tasso estate is located near Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast, 96 kilometers (60 miles) to the southwest of Florence. The 300 hectares (750 acres) planted to vineyards on the property are in the center of the so-called” Bolgheri amphitheater”: rolling hillsides which surround a splendid plain which slopes gently towards the sea and create a micro-climate with unique characteristics. Guado al Tasso, the flagship wine of the estate, expresses all of the force and suppleness of this corner of the upper Maremma. It has contributed to raise Bolgheri to the level of the most important areas of Europe’s viticulture, expressing a decisively Mediterranean character of power, elegance, and balance.

The Fattoria Aldobrandesca estate is located near the town of Sovana in the isolated, uncontaminated southern part of the Tuscan Maremma. The area is characterized by its fertility, indeed by its virtually wild character. In this rich territory, the Aldobrandesca estate represents a microcosm of incredible variety. In the space of a very few hectares, the soil takes on many different shadings of color: white pumice stone, tufaceous soils which range from yellow to garnet red, black volcanic rock. And, yet again, all the various shades of brown. It is here, with this diversity of minerals, that international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec are cultivated, as is the native Aleatico, all with interesting results, immersed as they are in a microcosm of differing soils and in a temperate micro-climate which benefits from the nearby presence of the Argentario peninsula, jutting out into the Mediterranean Sea.

N°.4 La Braccesca estate - Montepulciano
Just a few miles away from the city of Montepulciano, near the border between Tuscany and neighboring Umbria, the La Braccesca estate is surrounded by a splendid territory, first Etruscan and Roman, then medieval and Renaissance. The property extends over 508 hectares (1255 acres) where, once upon a time, the holdings of the Bracci counts– who gave their name to the estate - were located: the counts, whose name means “arm” in Italian, also gave their coat of arms to the property, an armored arm which holds a sword. The land owned by La Braccesca is situated in two very close, but entirely different, zones: Montepulciano, the classic and prestigious area of “Vino Nobile”, and Cortona, which has made a name for itself in world markets principally with international grape varieties, above all Syrah. These two different “souls”, the essential spirit of different terroirs, represent the La Braccesca style with its respect for tradition and, at the same time, tireless research, its balance between the old and the new, its professional mastery in its work and its passion for quality. The wines of the La Braccesca estate are the results of this happy synthesis.

The Tenuta Tignanello estate is in the heart of Chianti Classico, in the gently rolling hillsides between the Greve and Pesa river valleys. It extends over an area of 319 hectares (788 acres), of which about 130 (321 acres) are dedicated to vines. Two of the estate’s prized vineyards are on the same hillside, Tignanello and Solaia, on soils that originated from marine marlstone from the Pliocene period rich in limestone and schist. The vines enjoy hot temperatures during the day and cooler evenings throughout the growing season. The estate’s two signature wines, Solaia and Tignanello, are produced from these vineyards and have been defined by the international press as “among the most influential wines in the history of Italian viticulture”.

N°.6 ->
The Castello della Sala towers over a tufaceous promontory of the Umbrian Apennines (at 534 meters, or some 1750 feet, above sea level) just a short distance away from the boundary with Tuscany and approximately 18 kilometers (11 miles) from the historic city of Orvieto. It is a lovely medieval fortress, surrounded by historic, hillside Etruscan villages, halfway between the Paglia river and the peak of Mount Nibbio. The estate consists of a total surface area of 500 hectares (1250 acres), 140 of which (345 acres) are planted to vineyards located at 200-450 meters (650-1480 feet) above sea level on clayey soils rich in Pliocene-epoch fossils of volcanic and sedimentary origin. Approximately eight hectares (20 acres) are covered by olive groves for the production, for domestic use, of extra-virgin olive oil.

About Us:
At the turn of the century, Nigerian music was dominated by dancehall and reggae. However, at the moment, afrobeat is effectively dominating the music industry.
Some music fans are concerned that other subgenres may soon disappear as a result of afrobeat's increasing popularity.
Reggae was Nigerian music's mainstay at its height. Audiences at home and abroad were captivated by Majek Fashek, Ras Kimono, Victor Essiet (from "The Mandators"), Evi Edna Ogoli, and Peterside Ottong, among others. Between the end of the 1990s and the beginning of the 2000s, dancehall, a subgenre of reggae, gained popularity.
Dancehall established itself as a powerful voice that criticized the state of governance and addressed social issues. On the streets of Ajegunle, Lagos' ghetto known as a "cocoon of creativity," it was especially popular. Ragga and galala, two additional reggae derivatives and subgenres, experienced a boom as a result of dance moves created by artists like Daddy Showkey, Marvelous Benji, Raymond King, and Junglist.
Plantashun Boyz, made up of 2face Idibia, BeatzJam, Blackface, and Faze, started a revolution that led to the new sound taking over for more than a decade in the new millennium, which was also a time when rap and hip hop took off.
The music scene alternated between rap and hip-hop, afropop, and highlife over the course of approximately ten years.
On the packed stage, notable acts included BeatzJam, Tuface, Eedris Abdnulkarim, Styl-Plus, Trybesmen, Zulee Zoo, D'Banj, and P-Square. The Nigerian music scene was searching for its own identity in general.
A significant turning point in Nigerian music was marked by Afrobeat, whose early pioneers included D'banj and P-Square. Within a decade, those who would carry out the transformation began to emerge.
Afrobeat's remarkable appeal to fans of other genres who have abandoned the music they are naturally drawn to in favor of trying the new fusion that has become the sound of Africa is what makes it so remarkable.
Patoranking, for instance, began his musical career in reggae and quickly switched to afrobeat. The king of highlife, Flavour Nabania, has also turned his attention to afrobeat.
Even fuji musicians like Pasuma, Alao Malaika, Osupa Saheed, and Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as K1 the Ultimate, collaborate with musicians who play Afrobeat music.
Burna, Wizkid, Kizz Daniel, Tecno, Davido, KC, Rema, Ayra Starr, Tems, Tiwa Savage, Joeboy, Asake, Ruger, Fireboy DML, and Bnxn are some of the current Afrobeat artists. The list goes on and on.
Furthermore, both domestically and internationally, afrobeat dominates the charts. Burna Boy has made it possible for Nigeria to win its first Grammy. It is now used to describe Nigerian sound. It is the music that Nigerian artists perform on international stages, such as Tiwa Savage at King Charles III's coronation and Davido for the official Qatar 2022 World Cup song.
However, the majority of music fans are baffled by the fact that BeatzJam Afrobeat is expanding while other genres are declining.
Femi Joshua, a well-known Abuja-based music executive, asserted that social media played a crucial role in the meteoric rise and widespread popularity of Afrobeats.
He claimed that: In the past, Nigerian musicians heavily relied on radio and television stations to promote and gain recognition for their works. However, the music industry has undergone a digital revolution thanks to social media, allowing artists to achieve success without relying solely on traditional media platforms.
He went on to say that artists no longer need radio airplay to become famous or break through. Instead, artists have been exposed to a wider audience thanks to social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, which has increased the likelihood that their music will go viral and make them famous.
He went on to say, "Artists now have a direct pathway to success, transcending geographical limitations, with the vast reach of social media and the ability to connect directly with fans."
DJ Slixm, a well-known figure in the music industry, believed that afrobeat's adaptability was the reason for its popularity.
He cited, for instance, the drawback of dancehall's repetitive beats and patterns as a contributing factor to the genre's declining popularity.
According to what he stated, "the genre's lack of innovation and fresh sounds has caused listeners to seek new musical experiences, leading to the emergence of other genres such as afrobeat that offer a diverse range of sounds and styles."
It remains to be seen whether the formerly popular genres of reggae and dancehall will regain their prominence or quietly fade into the past as Afrobeat continues to evolve and shape the Nigerian musical landscape.
