Turtle Track: A New Mobile Adventure

Hello Internet!

This is a new blog post so that means that I have done some work on my new project. The project is a new mobile game I am currently calling “Turtle Track” as the working name; this will likely change in the future.

The premise of the game is an endless runner where the player takes the role of a turtle. They have to dodge all the obstacles and get as far as they can to get the highest score.

Currently I have started on making some art assets. As my first time creating all the sprites for the project, it has been made much easier with a program called PyxelEdit.

Well, let’s take a look at some of the sprites I have made.

The default playing character will be a turtle.

Non moving obstacles include whirlpools and rocks.

Obstacles that move include other turtles and jellyfish.

Possible ways to get points include grabbing fish.

I plan on making more sprites for the rest of the week and then start on the Unity project. I’ll possibly start making the individual components e.g. player, static obstacles, moving obstacles etc.
