SUCCESS STRATEGIES IN PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND MATH

Although one might think that Physics, Chemistry and Math are similar, on the contrary, they are quite different subjects and should be treated differently.The strategies for mastering the subjects are the same although the content may differ significantly. With this in mind, we have distinguished and identified the best methods and study techniques for each.

#1: Read the Material before Going to Class

This technique encourages students to study the lesson before going to class. Having the right notes or books can make a difference in this endeavour. Another important tool is the use of on-line resources which are available for free these days. This concept familiarises the student with the subject content making the class much easier to follow. Although understanding may not be complete initially, students can then consolidate that knowledge and use class time to raise important questions.

#2: Understanding Rather Than Memorising

William James said: “The essence of genius is to know what to overlook.” We cannot agree more! You have to be selective with what you memorise. When we study, efforts should focus on understanding concepts rather than memorising every last detail. Once we have gathered the important facts, we can implement this selective memory method. But remember, under no circumstances should memorisation replace understanding.

#3: Use Flashcards

The coursesare full of symbols, formulas and very scientific language, therefore noting it down makes memorizing much easier. Interpreting all of these concepts correctly is key to your success. Although this may seem like an obvious point, large numbers of students fail each year because they underestimate the importance of understanding this complex subject. With this in mind, study sheets or flashcards are ideal for organising and storing symbols and formulas. Once you have created a good set of flashcards, memorisation will become much easier.

#4: Take Notes

It is not enough to simply pay attention in class; it is also necessary to write down everything and understand what you taking notes on. Formulas and equations are far easier to understand once written down and presented in the right way. When notes are compiled and stored in an organised fashion, it is easier to determine what you do and don’t understand.

#5: Practice Daily

Continuing with the previous point, one of the key areas in studying correctly is practice. Solving equations and practical problems should be a feature part of your study routine. Test your knowledge with sample tests on a regular basis. This will prepare you for your exam and assesses your level of understanding to date. There is no substitute for hands on experience. Why is it that it *urks* me S so easily plays the narrative with these porn loving young girls?! All he works for and accomplishes, he disrespects himself allowing his reputation to be linked to those kind of very young women. I am sorry for the substantial delay. Flu happened still, and I wanted to have a clearer and rested mind in order to properly answer your question.

I shall again be brutally honest and say I really don't care at this point what brought you here: sincerity or elicitation of shippers' reactions on this very meh week-end. It doesn't really matter, either: but since Mordor is regularly accusing us of spoliation of evidence, I thought your submission deserved a careful answer. I know that annoys the shit out of them, too - not gonna lie, I am always pleased to oblige.

For our readers that have a normal life and were not here for Marple's midnight stalking session, here goes a summing-up of the facts (I hope you don't mind):

A video snippet of what is probably a more extended FaceTime conversation between S and Amanda Tutschek ( https://paintedpeachla.com/), a topless artist and painting tutor (100 USD/hour/class) from Vancouver, BC (but currently active in Venice Beach, Ca.) surfaced on Marple's account, supposedly dropped in her DMs by a good Samaritan. It is a nine second snippet ("... yeah...I was gonna put this one up here... but so funny... I was literally doing this yesterday and I was thinking about you...") with the comment: "Pimping out @samheughan's walls in Ireland (IE flag emoji)". It stayed on Tutschek's Instagram account for about four hours and then was promptly erased.

You start by telling me "S is playing the narrative with" the #silly calendar girls crowd. Is he, in this instance and if so, how can you (or anybody) be so sure?

Two scenarios are at play here:

First scenario: S/his people leaked this on purpose. Therefore, S is a troll.

Second scenario: Tutschek posted it as an Instastory on purpose. Therefore, S is a victim.

If S is trolling the fandom and I believe he is (only not now and not like this), why would he leak this on purpose? To emphatically let us know they're 'obviously not together'? To stir the pot between Queen *urv and Marple? To consolidate his man whore image, just when he was taking part in a critically important event in New York? I can understand the Lord of the Rings rigmarole (grinned for days), but assuming he is behind this strange snippet would be stretching the fabric of facts a bit too much, to my taste.

Also, despite *urv's delirious opinion ("he had a bedroom voice"), I think he just sounded tired and vaguely friendly: yes, I do think it's his voice. Not earlier than Friday evening, I received a video call on Fb from M, a (Taurus, hehe) former high school mate and one of my best friends. She always makes a point of telling me stuff like "I was buying grapes at the farmer's market and thought about you, how you absolutely hate them, so I called"/"I am at the Opera with Professor So-and-So, I told him about my brilliant friend in Athens, wanna say hi ?" That doesn't mean M wants me, the woman is happily married with two teenage boys. But she is a kind soul, with a superb understanding about what a friend really means (including being candidly obnoxious and immediately forgiven for it).

If Tutschek posted it out of her own accord on Insta, the reason would be simple: coat-tailing for clicks, shits and giggles. The insistent Ireland reference would point to that: I mean, the woman scrolled all the way down to the flag emojis to make sure we got the point (and in the process, more innuendo, mayhap). That would also explain why she promptly took it down: either because she realized somehow she pushed things a smidge too far or because she was strongly encouraged to cut the crap.

Seriously, whatever. This is just another episode of low-cost fuckery, irrespective of the two possibilities I just discussed. Her art is not as memorable as the bosom she generously shares with the world. It is borderline depressing and nothing to write home about, if you ask me. And the fact that the fandom quickly placed her in the same social circle with Quarantein Gia and Paparazzi Clarke, well... another major eyeroll, just here. The expected effect was exactly the one you described: to quietly gnaw at people's respect of S and also to chip a bit more of the fairytale.

This will happen only if you let them. These people, whoever they are, cannot challenge your reason, because there is nothing interesting or even logical about idiotic tidbits like this one. But they can and they are challenging and playing with your emotions, in order to instill doubt, insecurity, fear or disgust. I will not discuss Marple's editorial policy here (like her legally disingenuous use of someone else's material), simply because I do not want to give that derailed jukebox further space on my page. It is my sensible choice not to let these people in my world more than they deserve to be (very little). Maybe you should try it too, Anon. It could work for you as it did for me, once I came to terms with it.

We are vacationing in Vancouver, B.C. for two days. We dropped Gus off at a sitters house yesterday morning before we left. We are getting photo updates and he is looking very happy. They have a yard and he is boarding with a couple other small dogs all less than 15 lbs. He gets to run around outside and hang with new friends.

Then we arrived in B.C. around 1 pm yesterday. We sat in the lobby for a little bit and I read cats cradle. The weather is great as well. So then we went for a walk in the shops. I bought something useful as I do when I travel. I bought a pencil case to hold pencils for tutoring and a paring knife. The idea being to get something as useful as possible.

For dinner we got a Greek platter for dinner. It was delicious. It had a bit of everything. Came back to the hotel and passed out. Today we are visiting the Queens Garden.

Prologue: "The Seeds of Dissent" (Part I)

“Why can’t you be intelligent like your Uncle Hidekazu? At least when he studied he got marks that were tops in the province. Every-one’s going to think you’re an idiot. Are you mentally retarded that you can’t figure out those questions?”

Haruo rolled his eyes as he gripped his pencil almost hard enough to snap in two. It had always been like this when he was growing up. Math had always been his most difficult subject. And he knew for a fact; without A's in every single subject, he was never going to make honour roll so why even bother trying. Childhood was supposed to be fun. So why take all the fun out of living so that being a child or teen was an onerous drudge. Haruo knew the recriminations and guilt trips his mother used to lay on him by heart. And here comes the laying of blame…Haruo rolled his eyes again.

“Do you even realize just how hard your father had to work in order to make enough to get you your piano lessons and your math tutor? The least you could do is try!”

But I am trying. I can’t help that my brain doesn’t work like other people’s. You keep insisting that I’m smart but I’m not compared to other people. You keep insisting that I’m lazy, but I’m not. I just don’t see the reasoning behind continuing to bang my head against a wall trying to learn something that it’s going to be nearly impossible for me to understand…when I could be doing the same amount of work doing something I like doing. But Haruo knew to keep silent. Because if he uttered one peep, Mayumi would go on for six hours plus a two in the morning wake up rant to let her ungrateful brat know just how thin of ice he was walking on and the capstone:

If you don’t like it; there’s the door.

It used to terrify an elementary school child, but not any longer. Now that Haruo was in the latter years of high-school, he was certainly not afraid of just packing his stuff and leaving home.

But River…

His mind, perhaps his sense of self-preservation stopped him from slamming his text-book shut, hurling it at the wall and walking out. If he did that, it would be a dice-roll if he would survive the ass-chewing he’d get from both his mother and his father. …and…how could he explain to his best friend why he was now homeless….if he did that.

…and then…the Ministry of Children and Families would get involved and he’d be sent to a foster home at least for the next six months until he was eighteen and he’d never see River again. Where would he end up if the Ministry took him? Maybe somewhere in Interior Bumsquat BC or maybe, horrors of horrors, even Mission!

(Author’s note: I was a Maple Ridge boy, went to Garibaldi Secondary back in the Stone Age - yeah, I’m old. When I was in elementary school my narcissist mother, when she got a burr up her ass about something, would threaten to drop me off in Mission (somewhere around where the monastery was located) and make me walk home to Maple Ridge.)

Finishing homework took more time than he thought and by the time his homework was complete, the sun had gone down. And it wasn’t just his homework from his teachers; his mother being a teacher herself decided to pile on her own homework to make sure her idiot son realized that it took sacrifice to maintain a 4.0 GPA. It was supposed to make him smarter.

Unfortunately what it seemed to do was to show Haruo just how dumb he really was in comparison to the rest of his classmates and basically gave him the viewpoint of:

Happy Saturday. I got tagged by @run-8ear to post a Flex Friday. I don't have anything to flex, but I did complete my 5th swim workout of the week on Friday!

I also tutored my student for the last time on Friday. I had been tutoring him for 2 and a half years. It was a sad moment. I'm glad he's moving on to college and better things. He might have to take a math requirement in college, so I might be Zooming with him come fall.

I have a trip coming up in a week. My mom and I are going to visit Vancouver, B.C. for two days. I want to run Stanley Park and we will visit the Queen's Garden (?) I fear my stamina will not be up to par for my jog around the park. I've been swimming but haven't ran in a small minute.

I could really stand to lose some weight from a logical perspective. Went out shopping and felt like I could put more effort into how I present. I just need to make smarter eating choices. Once I start eating healthy, it's over for you all. I keep thinking of that quote from Batman Begins (MY FAVORITE MOVIE). "It's not who you are underneath, it's what you do that defines you." Yus.

Mental health wise, I've hit a plateau. I'm in between the transition of healing to growing. I have processed trauma and worked hard at making my mind healthy. Now I am primed to make good choices and grow / thrive!

edit: My friend is doing well. He got back to me. :) I'm learning the fear is not always accurate.
