Alternative queer options for Monster High G3?

G1 set up so many possibilities for queer characters and couples.  What they could’ve done instead for G3:

Have Kiyomi's unrequited crush on Draculaura stated at some point, and then have her find love with another ghoul like Vandala or anyone single.

Have Cleo (Deuce too?) confirmed as bi but still together.  (You don’t have to have dated both genders to know you’re bi.  Cleo can still be bi while in a happy relationship with Deuce.)

Howleen and Twyla as girlfriends.  (Although I personally see Twyla being more on the aroace spectrum, but I think her and Howleen would be a great pairing too, maybe even a queer-platonic relationship.)

Clawdeen as a lesbian.  I’ve heard that she and Toralei have good chemistry in G3, and Toralei was never in a relationship, so that could’ve worked nicely.  (Toralei did seem to like one of the vampire actors in Frights Camera though so I’m guessing she would probably be bi.)

Have Lagoona be bi and give her a friends to enemies to lovers romance with Kala.  (Although Lagoona x Gil shippers would not be too happy, so this probably wouldn't be the best option, but I still think it would've made more sense than pairing Frankie with Cleo.)

A digital sketch I did as a practice so that way I can get better at digital art! I was gonna color it, but I accidentally deleted all of the color progress😔 I love g3 Twyla and Howleen! Manny and Twyla is cute, but I will forever love Twyleen (or whatever their ship name is) in my heart. I love the new fearbook Twyla doll coming out soon, so this is basically if Howleen joined Twyla's club!

I was thinking of stuff I wanted to yap about here and one of the things was for Monster High and I'm like, "Wow I've really been starving my MH peeps huh" (I'm so sorry y'all)

Since last November my doll collection in general had a huge increase in the number of Monster High ghouls that have invaded my shelf. Originally I had only owned a few of the first core dolls (Of Frankie, Clawdeen, Draculaura and Ghoulia) and Twyla's Creepover Party doll, which I got around the time G3 began.

Bought a G1 Music Festival Abbey in Summer '23 who I only recently finished customizing (rerooted her old hair, was really yellowed and I didn't like the dark pink-red and the bangs, and I'm planning on giving her some new clothes but kept the faceup). And for Christmas in '23, my cousin bought me a Stitched-In-Style Frankie (which has genuinely been one of if not the ONLY G1 collector doll I honestly couldn't live without), since then I hadn't really bought any MH dolls...

UNTIL NOVEMBER when I went absolutely crazy lowkey -- for context, my birthday's in November, and I figured I'd gift myself some MH dolls for both occasions. Got almost all of the core refresh dolls (exc. Clawdeen, I think she was too expensive at the time), as well as Abbey, Venus, and the Enid and Rav'n Dance Wednesday dolls. Got some Skulltimate Secrets ghouls too, and sold my first wave Drac cause I was willing to part with her.

Fun fact, Wednesday is a guilty pleasure for me. I see it and all I can think about is how much Twyleen vibes Wedclair gives me and how putting Jackson and Holt into Tyler's role in S1 would be SO COOL! I'm actually working on some customs ala my G1 Abbey for Twyleen as Wedclair, and I'd love to follow through on that Jackson as Tyler idea too! (Also yes I HAVE thought of making a MH Wednesday AU, no I probably won't be writing it lol.)

I also got the base Wednesday and G3's Spectra more recently, they both look fangtastic in my collection! I also updated my shelf space recently and got stands for all the dolls that don't have any. My Enid doll's a little wonky, but I don't mind, it's subtle enough for my nearsightedness to blur it from a distance anyway.

It's late and I don't have any pictures to share unfortunately but if y'all wanna see I don't mind sharing!

(Also I AM SO SORRY I haven't been posting more about Monster High, don't think I forgot about my ghouls! I still think about them all the time, same with my AU. I do intend to post more stuff for it, I haven't forgotten what I wanted to do, and with the hiatus from school and a couple personal projects I'll be having in the summertime, I'm hoping to get back to the AU then!)
