UGC NET Age Limit 

UGC  states that candidates must not be over the age of 31 as of June 1, 2022. However, there is no age limit for assistant professors and lecturers. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements for UGC NET 2022 are welcome to complete the application.

UGC NET Eligibility

A master's degree or equivalent from a university or institution recognized by UGC in areas such as liberal arts (including languages) and social sciences, computer science and applications, or electrical engineering with at least 55% points (no rounding) Candidates who have obtained, are eligible for this Test.

University graduates (regardless of the date of publication of results) who have completed the master's degree examination by September 19, 1991, will have their NET grade points reduced by 5% (i.e. from 55% to 50%)  

Candidates who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Persons with disability [ PWD ] category and other lower class (OBC) and have earned at least 50% of the points (rounded none). This exam accepts a master's degree or equivalent exam. They must submit a certified copy of their category certificate and an online printout of their application (received when they applied online). All other candidates are not required to submit a hard copy of the application along with certificates/documents proving their eligibility. Candidates should therefore ensure that they are suitable for the exam, for their own benefit. Whenever the Commission determines that you are ineligible, your application will be canceled and legal action must be taken.
