Nidhhi Agerwal to make OTT debut in Prerna Arora’s next

The makers will be unveiling the first look and the title on February 24. Nidhhi Agerwal, a renowned face in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi cinema is all set to make her OTT debut. The actress, who made her film debut with the Bollywood film Munna Michael, co-starring Tiger Shroff, will be collaborating with producer Prerna Arora, who has been a part of producing films like Rustom, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Pad Man, among others. Furthermore it is being said that they would also be unveiling the title and first look of this venture on February 24.

Excited about making her OTT debut, Nidhhi Agerwal shared, "I was eagerly waiting for a script that sparked my interest and Prerna's film just hit all the right notes. Really thrilled to explore the OTT space with this one." Explaining further details about this move, Prerna said, "I've always focused on creating pan-India theatrical films since the beginning of my career, as that's how I perceive cinema, business, and the industry as a whole. However, in recent years, watching web series has sparked my curiosity and excitement about this new form of storytelling. I've always been deeply passionate about films, so exploring OTT platforms was a natural progression for me. Unlike traditional theatres that often feature big, mainstream films, OTT platforms offer a diverse array of content, showcasing different stories and subjects from around the world.”

Speaking on why she ventured into OTT, Prerna added, “This diversity intrigued me, and I felt compelled to explore this new avenue of storytelling. That's why I decided to venture into producing an OTT film alongside my theatrical projects. I couldn't be more thrilled about this dual journey. It's both a challenge and an opportunity to showcase unique narratives and rediscover myself as a producer.”  Talking about the content available on OTT platforms, she concluded, “The freedom and the challenge of breaking new ground in storytelling are exhilarating. Now, after gaining valuable insights, I'm committed to collaborating with the biggest OTT platforms to deliver films and experiences that they can be truly proud of. Unlike others who merely exploit these platforms, my goal is to create content that not only makes everyone proud but also thrives in the business aspect. I'm eagerly anticipating this change and looking forward to producing compelling content for both theatrical releases and OTT platforms."

The OTT film is produced by Prerna V Arora’s SKG Entertainment along with UJS Studios and the makers are yet unveil further details on the cast and the release date.

"Patricia, or as she is known as Patchy in the studio (UJ's oc), was created by my former husband Henry Stein as a new character to be the devil's angelic sister but was scraped by Joey Drew saying she will conflict with Alice Angel. It was a surprise back then when I heard that Patchy was joining the cast with a redesign for the technicolor era. I suspect for a time that Joey was desperate that he would do anything to keep his studio staying afloat, even bringing back a character he rejected in the past."

Perfume being now on Polydor Records (Polydor Japan) probably doesn’t mean anything approaching overseas. It seems to be a new business strategy by Universal Music in Japan.

Wikipedia: In December 2022, Universal Music Japan reorganized Universal J, which previously was known as Universal Polydor until 2002.[18] The label was split into two record labels, UJ and Polydor Records.[19] The changes took place on January 1, 2023.[19]

Polydor Japan has three sub-labels: Perfume Records, ASSE!! Records (HY exclusive label), and Utahime Records (Akina Nakamori exclusive label). It also has distribution rights for the NHK Records label.

The first release under Polydor in Japan was Kobayashi Touya [ja]'s debut studio album, Hiiragi.[20]

Kiernan, affectionately known as ‘AKA’, was arguably South Africa's greatest hip-hop artist of all time.

The first born of Tony and Lynn Forbes, his formative years were spent in his grandmother’s care in Mitchell’s Plain, Cape Town, Western Cape. He began his schooling at Holy Cross Convent, and then moved onto Greenside Primary School when he relocated to the bustling city of Johannesburg in the mid 1990s to live with his mother. His high schooling was done at the prestigious St Johns’s College, a private all-boys school nestled in the affluent suburb of Houghton Estate, Johannesburg. The school boasts former alumni such as former UJ Vice Chancellor & Principal, Prof. Tshilidzi Marwala; author Dr. Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh; former soccer star Kaizer Motaung Jr; presenter ‘Maps’ Maponyane; anti-apartheid activist & African Resistance Movement member, the late Hugh Levin; and disgraced former apartheid-era spy, Craig Williamson, to name a few.

It was while he was at St John’s, that he would form the musical group ‘Entity’, alongside Mpofu-Walsh and Nhlanhla Makenna. Originally, the group consisted of 6 members but they became a trio shortly afterwards. Their chosen stage names were: AKA (Forbes); Vice Versa (Mpofu-Walsh); and Greyhound (Makenna). Each member gave an explanation for their stage names. Forbes said his is derived from him being a different person to all the different people in his life; for Mpofu-Walsh, it’s double layered: firstly, it’s a pun on verse writing in the hip-hop tradition and secondly, it’s due to his mom being white and his dad being black, enabling him to see life from both side of the (racial) spectrum. For Makenna, he claims it stems from having big ears and a small frame as a kid and being able to run very fast.

The group would go on to release their only studio album in 2005, titled ‘Royal School of Hip Hop’. It’s worth noting that the group members were in grade 11. The album was independently released on Creative Kingdom Records and was produced by former Skwatta Kamo member, Siya ‘Slikour’ Metane. The album was well received and had one single on heavy rotation on radio and Channel O titled, ‘Touch And Go’. They were nominated in the Best Hip Hop Album category at the now-defunct KORA Awards and managed to perform at the awards ceremony. Sadly, the group disbanded after their matric year in 2006. According to Mpofu-Walsh, a second album was recorded but was never released.

Following the end of Entity, Forbes would go study sound engineering. It was while pursing his studies that he met with Ntokozo ‘Buks’ Mazibuko and Kamohelo ‘Kamza’ Mbatha, and formed the production team ‘IV League’. The three of them would fundamentally change the course of South African Hip Hop music and produce many hits such as ‘Tswakstikem’ by Khuli Chana, ‘Tla K'o Bone’ by Reason, ‘Monate So’ by Shugasmakx, "Victory Lap" by AKA (and the whole of his debut album Altar Ego) and ‘Bhampa’ by Pro, among others. Following this successful run, Forbes would leave the team and join up with Vth (pronounced fifth) Season. It would be his partnership with the indie label that he would see his greatest run of success and garner numerous international awards and have the distinction of being the only rapper to have a record go platinum without any vernac on it.

He dabbled in a few business ventures, such as the ill-fated BEAM Group, under which he released his third album, the double platinum ‘Touch My Blood’. He then landed a rare sneaker deal with international brand, Reebok. The SneAKA collaboration was well received and a limited edition run was sold out in no time. He then bagged a liquor collaboration with New York-based Cruz Vodka. The deal allowed him to have his own signature flavours, boasting the ever-popular Watermelon edition and the Banana edition.

As much as he was known for his musical talents, he was also known for his romantic relationships. His first significant relationship was with famed DJ Zinhle Jiyane, which spawned his only child, daughter Kairo Owethu Forbes, born 8 July 2015. He then had a whirlwind romance with iconic media personality and wine maker, Bonang Matheba. The relationship’s demise was widely discussed in the media and public with allegations of muti being used hurled around. He then got into a relationship with the late Anele Tembe, whom he got engaged to in February 2021. Sadly, Tembe would lose her life in an apparent suicide by jumping from the tenth floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town. Numerous videos of the pair’s arguments made the rounds on social media and allegations of abuse were labelled against Forbes. The police cleared him of any involvement in Tembe’s untimely passing. He began a relationship with rapper Nadia Nakai in 2022.

Forbes was scheduled to perform at Yugo, a popular nightclub in Durban when he was gunned down by two unknown assailants. He and his former manager, Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane were struck six times and died on the scene. Forbes is survived by his parents, younger brother Steffan and his girlfriend, Nakai.

He was laid to rest in a private burial on 18 Feb 2023 and is buried at the Westpark Cemetery in Johannesburg.

A Nem felejtelek el a tavaly december végén megjelent, 17 dalos Világmegváltó lemez félakusztikus zárótétele. A dal (és az egész album) felvételéért a zenekar dobosa, Botlik Mátyás volt a felelős (Grenma Studio), a videót pedig Koncz Gergely készítette.

Percussive fits and sputtering synths hasten their pace over a shifting canvas, though the British quintet of Louis Borlase, Ollie Judge, Arthur Leadbetter, Laurie Nankivell, and Anton Pearson are just as steadfast, siphoning each in spite of their bold intricate patterns wanting to explode from out of its frame.

Idén év elején érkezett a hír, hogy Hámori Dávid (a.k.a. Dáci a.k.a. Mezítlábas dobos) nyolc év után otthagyja a Fish! zenekart, hogy új kihívások elé nézzen karrierje során. A dobos többször is kihangsúlyozta a YouTube-ra feltöltött videóiban, hogy nem tűnik el a zenei életből – eleve mert ott van neki a Golconda is -, most pedig lehullt a lepel arról, mibe vágta a dobverőit: A Király Halottba.

A zenész és a nyíregyházi pop metal-alakulat útjai nyáron fonódtak össze, és a kezdeti beszélgetésekből, majd próbákból hamar arra az elhatározásra jutottak, hogy együtt kell folytatniuk. Ennek első lenyomata most a Tűnj el! című dal, amit odalent mutatunk is. A trekk háttérmunkáit Brucker Bence (AWS / Y Sound Studio) végezte, míg az énekfelvételek Diószegi Kikinél (Down for Whatever / Stray Heart Records) zajlottak.

Meet my new OC, Freiya Tir! To be honest, this was just an excuse to create a Togruta with the colors of my state’s football team, the Minnesota Vikings, because I have a Vikings hat that looks like Togruta horns. But anyway. Freiya’s a Mandalorian, not born there but raised in Keldabe since practically infancy, brought to Mandalore when Freiya’s mother fell in love and married a Mando while fleeing with baby Freiya from slavers. Clan Tir owns a bake shop & tea house––and, thanks to Freiya’s mother, a Togrutan martial arts studio––in the northeastern district of the city. Clan Tir’s uj cake is the talk of the neighborhood, as is their ujayl-spiced shig. Freiya loves working with all the cousins in the shop, making and serving tea and pastries, and playing pickup meshgeroya in the park behind the building. She* has a bit of a soft spot for a few of the semi-regular customers, whom she sees only every once in a while; they never stay long, but are always charming and always take multiple pastries for the road. She’s pretty sure their clan name is Skirata.

*Since Mandalorian culture conceptualizes gender in a different way from other parts of the galaxy––Mando’a doesn’t even use pronouns or gender distinctions––Freiya’s definition of gender can only loosely be described by the words we use in Basic. I’ll use “she/her” and sometimes “they’them” for the sake of convenience, but bear in mind that’s based on aruetii ideas and is only an approximation of how Freiya views herself.
