Tsubaki is, of course, a sweet girl. Unfortunately, for those around her, she's just seen as someone silent and uninteresting. She doesn't put much effort into conversation, and since her peers stopped wanting to hear about her religion, they stopped as well.
The closest people to her are the two girls that she met outside of school (Mina and Beshi) and Himari, who offered her assistance without knowing much about her. Since Himari was so sweet and took Tsubaki's feelings and thoughts seriously, Himari quickly became her favorite member of the Gardening Club.
Despite her sweetness, she does still have very few friends. Not that she minds, of course. Her only goal when joining Akademi was to study and learn about gardening. Speaking of, she's heavily interested in herbs and medicinal plants. Her family has a pretty long history or using herbs and plants for medicine, so she hopes to continue that legacy of theirs, and become just as good of an herbalist.

But, here is a fun fact you probably didn’t know. After the deaths of these two titans of the warring states period a marriage was carried out between their clans! The year after Kenshin’s death, which is six years after Shingen’s death, his successor Uesugi Kagekatsu was married to Shingen’s daughter Kiku-hime!
The marriage was agreed too and arranged by Shingen’s successor, his son Takeda Katsuyori.
