What happens to Unika now? She’s from the Future, right? What happens when this Timeline’s version of Unika is born?

So far, Axl Low only implied that events in the Timeline had changed, and knowing him, he probably wants to adjust anything as little as possible.

But, there’s no doubt she’s Dizzy and Ky’s second child, so the time will come when Future Unika is born as an “egg”.

There’s several outcomes to this, but here are the main possibilities:

First Outcome: Closed Timeline Unika fades from existence quietly, with the birth of Newborn Unika, something everyone including Sin might just have to come to terms with (or perhaps Axl Low might even erase their memories, like I-No once did).

Second Outcome: Unika asserts her existence in this timeline, not by replacing her future self, but by somehow becoming a different Unika, even changing her entire identity.

Third Outcome: Something totally unexpected happens and a secondary Timeline is stable enough to permit this Unika to continue existing. Speculation but, both Happy Chaos and Lucy might be involved.

Regardless, two identical persons in the same timeline either do not exist for very long due to causal factors, or because one asserts or usurps the other, or because they left the timeline for a branching one.

Happy Chaos might play a bigger role in this, since he’s tampered with other timelines before, much to Axl’s annoyance.

XTwitter User Misinput made an interesting observation about Unika recently. Red eyes ARE indicative of Gear conversion (which is strange to consider, since Unika herself hates Gearkind).

We won't know the truth until it's revealed, however.

Hope this isn't offensive (feel free to ignore if it is) but what illnesses do you have? I always see very detailed posts from you about different types of hyperspecific injuries or illnesses and I was wondering if you're just super well informed or have all of them.

Which is very helpful and cool for people who need the info, and I'm sorry if you are experiencing all those.

Conditions I have been diagnosed with as of 2024:

Ehlers Danlos Syndrome

Mast Cell Activation Syndrome

Dysautonomia/POTS/autonomic failure (they all mean a similar thing. I just have them all listed in my file because no one can decide what I actually have beyond “nervous system broke”)

Chronic Migraines

Hemiplegic Migraines

Cluster Headaches

Cranial Instability (caused by my EDS + neck injuries)

Trigeminal neuralgia

Occipital Neuralgia (caused by the cranial instability)

Binocular Vision Disorder

PMDD (likely linked to the MCAS)

Probably endometriosis but it’s unconfirmed.

Interstitial cystitis (definitely caused by the MCAS)

GERD (a symptom of my MCAS)

Pernicious Anemia (likely linked to the EDS and MCAS. I don’t absorb nutrients from my food as well as I should which is common when MCAS damages the GI tract.) which lead to hemolytic anemia in 2019 aka the “Almost Died For Real” year.

ADHD.

Dysthymia or “double depression”

“Probable ME/CFS” is in my file, but with everything else going on chronic and debilitating fatigue is pretty much unavoidable so my doctors are like 🤷🤷‍♀️

I had an intestinal perforation a few years ago that lead to severe diverticulitis that took about a year and a half to heal, but that’s healed now save for the occasional bout of nerve pain.

Uuuh… I think that’s it… (wait and see my spouse/friends chiming in with “you forgot about x”)

So yeah.

Chances are if you see me talking about it, I have it. I do sometimes talk about other conditions that I’ve learned about over the years of navigating my own stuff, but I will always defer to the lived experiences of others when it comes to their own conditions.

It’s a lot to deal with. Most of it links back to the MCAS/EDS/Autonomic failure.

Or as we like to call it: the generic trifecta of bullshit.

Disclaimer: EP made a lot of confusing lore for a dozen different AU’s involving the twins. This archive is mainly for things in the BTD universe or those adjacent to it. Other note: EP had a few blogs that they used for character roleplay. “Nagakira” is sometimes used as Akira talking to the viewer, but the information is still canon because EP wrote it. “Doctor-dollmaker” is Sano.

Note: Akira is 20-21 in the first BTD game, and had just started his mercenary work within the last year or so.

It’s unconfirmed (that I’m aware of) but implied that in the BTD universe Akira’s relationship with his work is slightly different, given that he started younger due to the AU age difference. He didn’t have those extra 5 years to get involved with lots of side characters.

Some general facts about him:

The twins both have plasma based powers; fire and lightning.

Akira has black scales in snake form while Sano has white. As a naga, Akira has more muscle and is built for constriction while Sano is slimmer but has deadly venom. Akira only has small fangs.

A lot of early art showed him having a close relationship with Farz (most likely why Farz is dating Vincent— who is/was Akira— in BTD2). I’ll touch more on this in part two. Speaking of, there will definitely be part two!

Also sorry for using Gato’s art instead of EP’s for the title pic but that artwork just captures him so well I couldn’t not do it ^^;
