I would like to say that rangercore, vagabondcore, all that good koosh is not about lush green forests but about your own surroundings and loving it and caring for it (what rangers do today).
The reason I pick these pictures is because I live in Scotland which is big open green spaces. But those spaces are not natural, and instead evidence of the mass stripping of land.
You can still see the torn up roots of old forests, abandoned crofts, abandoned fields, lost villages and that the open 'wilderness' is a violent and new thing that still causes damage today.
Scotland wears its scars openly. Mum always said that Scotland must be a haunted country because every inch of it is stained in blood.
The forests are slowly being brought back together, and the native wildlife is succeeding. Not too long ago, many Scottish wildcats were born. Wolves are always on the table and there are more and more communities buying land back from landlords for the community.
These images of lush forests are pictures of hope for me, as I join in helping build a torn up land.

The tees stretch outward for what seems like forever. Your bag is heavy and in need of repair. The infinite expanse of wilderness beckons, but you are tired.
Remove your bag. Make a fire. Let your feet rest, and perhaps brew some tea. The adventure shall continue, but you’ll have to wait till morning
Rest now, weary traveler. Tomorrow you can begin refreshed.

[id: a photo of a wooden fence with moss growing on it. there is wire holding the fence together. the photo is taken at an angle to exaggerate a feeling of distance. the rest of the photo includes clover patches, dirt with a layer of redwood bark and twigs, and a fallen mossy tree limb in the far distance. end id.]

~ Mammal Check Edition
Disclaimer: these are basic suggestions. Everyone is different, you may need more/different things included and that's okay.
I hereby introduce the 'mammal checks'. Enforced between friends or independently, they serve as a very basic way to stay in touch with our bodies, especially during times of stress.
These are some of the minimal checks, kept short so they are easy to remember, quick to complete and adaptable. The idea is to complete all 5 checks during a break between tasks.
