How I think Outlast characters would play Just Dance

Miles: Pretty good but questionable rhythm. Gets INSANELY into it and will probably beat you.

Waylon: Terrible. Horrible. Plays with his kids though and they absolutely smoke him, but he has fun.

Blake: Not as bad as Waylon, but not too far off. Lynn refuses to dance with him in public.

Jeremy: Pretty good although he pretends to be worse because he doesn’t want anyone knowing he enjoys Just Dance. (Rick and him get coked out on Saturdays and play)

Richard: Not bad, but this man has 0 rhythm. He gets super competitive even though Jeremy beats him every time. Secretly practices alone to get better.

Chris: Surprisingly amazing, and could probably beat all the other characters on this list. Idk I just feel like that man can dance….

Eddie: Nowhere near as good as Chris but he’s probably got rhythm. (Why do I keep saying these white boys have rhythm idk) RIP Eddie you would have loved Just Dance. Or hated it no in between.

Frank: I wouldn’t say he’s good but damn does he get into it. Does he hit the moves he’s supposed to? No, but he is definitely hitting moves.

The Twins: I imagine the shared thoughts thing they’ve got going on would help for some sick ass in sync dancing but god please put some pants on before playing Just Dance.

Val: Similar to Frank, those are definitely dance moves ! Val is definitely dancing !

Marta: Marta please stop dancing you’re scaring the children. (im kidding i love her i bet she would dance very lovely if she tried)

Pauline: Absolutely kicks ass at it and takes it seriously too. I would love to see Pauline and Chris go head to head.

New Outlast 2 fanfic! 🤗 I've been planning it for 5 long years at this point, but finally I managed to publish the prologue (maybe a bit too long, but still... 😅) and that makes me so proud 💪 I'm already writing the first chapter and I can't wait to show it to you ❤️ The story will be extremely long, as it's a sort of horror soap opera and concerns the countless events that took place in Temple Gate before Blake and Lynn's arrival according to both canonical sources and my headcanons, but in any case I hope you'll appreciate it 😁

note: thank you for the request! this is my first outlast related work and i’m so glad it ended up being about val. there’s mention of a kiss the reader and val share, but it’s not meant to be romantic. i’d like to think val does this as another way to show love no matter who the person is. anyway, i hope you enjoy!

being friends with val was.. interesting to say the least. she could be “too much” at times, but your strong and close bond with her made it hard to care.

val was naturally a very affectionate and touchy person, she prefered to show her love through physical touch, so that is what she did. you were always greeted with a tight hug and an occasional kiss was placed upon your cheek. 

expect lots of nicknames and terms of endearment, “my love” and “darling” being the most heard.

val was there for you in many ways, as were you for her. when she would have strange nightmares about her unfortunate crimes on behalf of the reverend, you would be the first one she would go to for comfort. when she would silently beg for repentance, you would be there to hold her close.

just like you were the first she would ask to join her

“please, my love. i know you feel it too, i know you see it. join us.. join me.” she would kneel in front of you and hold your hands in hers, her eyes connected with yours silently pleading for you to join her and the heretics.

you both knew you would join her, val could tell especially when you leaned forward to press your forehead against hers and whisper so quietly only she could hear, “give me a little time to think. can you do that?” a smile spread across her face and she left an intimate yet friendly and reassuring kiss on your lips, “time is insubstantial, but i will wait years for you, my darling.”

you stayed with val until the very end, undoubtedly loyal to her from your first to last breath
