Demons don't sleep at night

For Day 6 of Emmet month, Emotions, I decided to do a piece inspired by one of my favorite submas fics ever, Demon in White by @anxiously-introverted. When listening to Fake a Smile by Alan Walker, I felt the lyrics fit really well and have had this image in my head ever since as part of an animatic sort of thing. I figured I could make one panel real.

Emmet having lower self esteem and struggling with self worth is a headcanon that hits me extremely close to home (hello, projection), so portrayals of Emmet dealing with that, then receiving assurance from his loved ones, mean a lot to me. This fic has lived in my brain since it was written and I am glad I finally drew something inspired by it.

When I first saw this I was mostly flooded with relatively angsty thoughts, but the more I tried to translate those thoughts realistically onto the page, the sillier and sillier they got =w=

So like just to show how insane my file organization/naming is (because yeah Ive learned IM THE ODD ONE OUT), I start out pretty standard in like-

Okay having folders organized by fandoms and other projects, not too crazy

now instead of naming my files by like the date or whatever, a good chunk of them are normal like-

like okay nothing too bad...

listennnnn: idk how this happens alright i don't have the energy for plot but yutagumi body worship... yuta pulling megumi out of his head with his weirdly disarming kind authoritative attention.... managing to stop him from power bottoming for once and compelling him to lie there and be showered in praise and affection... megumi is blushing an alarming shade of red and his head is half buried in the pillow with his arm over his eyes because he's Mortified but does not want yuta to stop kissing every inch of him and touching him so reverently....

I meant to make an announcement here as well, but due to major burnout and a change of interest, I kind of left the fandom. Sorry I left you guys so suddenly! I don't know when the next Spooky Month will be out, but I will try to make a comeback then!

I loved this idea, and I loved all the support and love you all have given for my silly ideas along with it. I want to say thanks for that. It made my day waking up to see people laughing or crying or just enjoying my work :} I hope I have the same passion as I did before when I come back.

Whatever happens, thank you all for the support again and this community gave me so many good memories around this time last year <3

@chris-continues HERE HE ISS i did a combination of these prompts so we have the half up hair, alt vibes but still keeping the refined style n suit fashion, a couple of the piercings u mentioned and him w wired earpods bc theyre superior dont @ me-HDKDJDKD i didnt draw him doing band things but again i can totally picture him being a singer!
