Myself Version 3.0

It’s been so long since I wrote here. Never thought I will miss typing my random thoughts here in my tiny, colorful secret world. Almost five years have passed and still I am single. I am not sad and I am definitely not lonely. I have learned to  love my own company and the liberty that comes with single hood which enables me to try new things, all the things that I have never done before. Traveling alone, eating alone, pursuing another degree, going after what I want and doing whatever makes me happy. I am glad I took the time to sober up, to grow up. Now that I am a little older, I am now ready to take bigger chances and bolder moves. Suppression is over. I am no longer afraid, I am no longer holding myself from the endless possibilities that life has in store for me.Every second counts, every moment must be savored like a hot creamy mushroom soup, first sip and you know it’s the best decision you have ever made. Goodbye comfort zone, for we know that it is a dangerous place. It is a trap that will kill all your chances of a better or maybe best life ever. I am no longer scared to dream bigger and act on it. I am no longer afraid to fall deeper and turn all my dreams into reality. Thank you, Lord for this moment, for shaking me, for waking me up from the illusion that this is the life that I am stuck in. Diario de aprendizaje del curso de Paisajes de Aprendizaje. Toma 4

¿Juegas?

Aprender es algo muy serio, hemos de hacerlo con fundamento, basándonos en estudios, en evidencias científicas y experiencias probadas. Por eso es tan importante divertirse mientras aprendemos. O, en caso de ser profesor, por eso es tan importante favorecer entornos, estrategias y oportunidades de aprendizaje en las que nuestros alumnos se diviertan, se emocionen y les resulten cercanas y significativas.

Una manera de incorporar estos factores a la experiencia de aprender es a través de los paisajes de aprendizaje, buscando una narrativa que les resulte cercana, que les mueva. Incorporando estrategias de gamificación sus cerebros se despiertan y su motivación se activa. 

Pero, claro, hay que hacerlo. Y no es tarea fácil. Hay que superar mucha inercia, aprender a trabajar de otra manera, sin certezas.

Como profesora de TPR solamente he usado algo parecido al storytelling en algún diseño de programación con SCRATCH, pero lo hice sin estructurar, según iba surgiendo. 

En mi paisaje he introducido una narrativa,que se me ocurrió después de preguntar a mis alumnos por sus preocupaciones y motivaciones, pero no termina de dar sentido a la historia, como ocurriría, por ejemplo, en un escape room. Más bien es un elemento motivador.

La gamificación es la parte que más me cuesta integrar. He diseñado y utilizado juegos con mis alumnos en clase, pero nunca he gamificado una actividad. En el paisaje hay etapas diferenciadas, que se podrían considerar niveles del juego, pero no hay tensión para superar los niveles. No hay muchas opciones de itinerarios ni se asignan puntos para premiar los logros (salvo las insignias). 

Como los paisajes están vivos, a medida que adquiera más experiencia, espero poder ir integrando la gamificación de manera más natural.

Poder aprender jugando, disfrutando, con emoción, activando un poco nuestra competitividad es un lujo que gracias a los paisajes de aprendizaje pronto podrá estar al alcance de cualquiera.

Narración, gamificación y digitalización del paisaje de aprendizaje

Esto se está poniendo muy interesante. Mi niña interior está despertando y quiere jugar con otros niños.

Hasta ahora había utilizado en el aula textos o vídeos con historias concretas pero nunca como un juego en sí mismo.

Este bloque me ha hecho pensar en las características y necesidades de mis alumnos. Son muy distintos, pero creo que les gustaría jugar. Lo difícil es proponerles un juego. Siento que me falta creatividad… ¿Y si les propongo participar en un programa Erasmus+ de intercambio de estudiantes con otro país europeo? El reto es conseguir un puesto entre los alumnos de la escuela que irán al otro país.

Cada alumno escogerá su avatar, pueden ser exploradores, aventureros, etc.

Podemos empezar en un nivel 1, un entorno europeo con una serie de pruebas a superar que les permitirán ir ganando puntos para el vuelo. Hay un nivel 2 centrado en Reino Unido, país de intercambio. En este nivel ganan puntos para canjear allí en diversas actividades.

Por el momento no conozco ninguna otra herramienta similar a Genial.ly, que en un principio me desconcertó, ya que no sabía por dónde empezar a usarla. Pero pronto me familiaricé con ella, entre otras cosas porque es muy visual e intuitiva, lo que constituye una gran ventaja.

Version 3.0

Another version of Pete’s Jrnl makes its way to the App Store. This one is a lot different from the previous version.

In version 3.0, you’ll see find your entries via calendar, much the same way you would in the normal Calendar app. Each day that has at least one journal entry is highlighted. Tap on a day and you’ll see the entries for that day.

You can also tap on a month��“View” button to see all of the entries for that month.

I think you’ll find this will be a lot easier to manager many journal entries.
