I finished my daughter's Janeway in time for Christmas! She's A2 size and I've framed her because the pastelly surface is very fragile, so I'm not actually sure if my daughter has enough wall space. Oh well!

2023.

i hope any of you reading this will forgive the essay. i started posting to this art blog ten years ago in 2013 when i was just at the very end of high school, uploading short animations i'd made for one of my final projects, preparing myself for art school where i was gearing up to become an illustration/animation student.

i went into my art foundation course in 2014, still thinking i was going to be going into storybook illustration or with faint hopes of becoming like a concept artist for game/animation, although even then i'd started thinking about patterns...

and then in 2015 i did go into my BA, going in for that illustration with animation degree that... usually when i talk about it in real life, i say didn't really feel like the best place for me. if i think back, the best things i got out of it were two of my best friends, one of whom is now my partner. looking back on my BA era, there's some bits of sketchbook stuff...

and while i was at university my main fandoms were thunderbirds are go and x-men for a bit... these are from the end of 2015 into the beginning of 2016...

then for a little while i was doing this still sort of pastel-ish lineless situation:

and i alternated between that and this thin fineliner type work (pretty sure all of the linearted pieces were done on paper and scanned, and all the lineless were graphics-tablet-only) - it was in this style that i started to offer commissions for the first time too.

and i also had fineliner-lined work in sketchbooks that i coloured with marker and posca pens, the colours of which were generally a bit more intense just based on not being able to slide the hue/saturation around on paper:

also 2016 was when i discovered the spongebob musical just after it's trial run in chicago (which ended in july of 2016) and i started making fanart at that point... which would have the biggest effect on the way i drew (and i did end up handing in a piece of spongebob musical fanart as one of my art school homeworks lmao)

from summer 2016 until early 2017 things were still quite soft and pastelly in my digital art, colour-wise:

and then suddenly everything got whacked up to 100% on saturation. also i was using the binary tool to give everything really thin pixel lineart for some reason.

then i went on vacation in summer 2017 and didn't draw for maybe a month? just short of? and when i came back i decided to change everything up again... giving characters blobbier, more ugly-cute faces with large squinting eyes and big nostrils and i was worrying a lot less about making anything look smooth, lineart-wise. i turned off the pen stabiliser in SAI and let it wiggle.

then... the spongebob musical opened on broadway in late 2017, i went to see it live in person for the first time... and my whole brain was ENTIRELY consumed by my love of it. i was putting that david zinn inspired pattern explosion into everything, even if it wasn't sbm fanart.

as we go into 2018, i started colouring my lineart. my biggest interest was still broadway musicals (with spongebob at the top of the list)

i think summer 2017 - early 2018 is probably my favourite art era, i was at my most bright and colourful and exciting... although i know in my actual real life i was struggling a lot with my home situation and i had been for some time. art was definitely my escapism back then, and i think a lot of the time i drew really bright, joyful stuff to try and inject that feeling into myself.

as for my university work, i was putting my focus into 3D paper-mache puppets:

and i was also starting to do more repeat patterns, mostly inspired by things around me. i'd learned how to make patterns actually tile and repeat in 2017, so made a few during my time at uni just to accompany some of my projects, but never as the focus of them. one of my university tutors told me that maybe i should put more focus on doing surface pattern, and maybe applying it to textiles, but i said i wasn't interested.

i graduated from my BA in the summer of 2018, and immediately began volunteering at the whitworth art gallery doing anything i could - stewarding, helping with arts and crafts, dancing with families...

in 2019 i was still very colourful... i was trying out more chunky colouring on characters skintones that i think was def inspired by tumblr artist jadenvargen:

but the blobbyness and ugly-cute style of drawing faces was gone by here, and i think... the way i drew characters probably had better *anatomy*, proportions were maybe a bit more realistic...

in 2020 i started adding the black shading to under the chins and some other places on characters' bodies because i started watching the anime my hero academia with my brother, lmao (and i was starting to pastelise colours a bit again, these are the most pastel-ish examples) my lineart has really smoothed back out too, though i never turned my pen stabiliser back on in SAI. i think my hand just adjusted. probably seems a bit insane to miss that, but i do.

by the end of 2020, the almost-year of lockdown over cobid had... made me a bit insane, i think, and i moved out of my mother's house and into a flat with a friend from university.

in 2021 i think things were much the same... i think from this point on is where things have sort of settled. i don't want to say stagnated, but i do think things have been very... like this for a while.

2022 - got the most exciting examples out...

also i was very into these little frames in 2022.

and then on to 2023! in 2022, i did begin trying to shift gears a bit -- hoping to put more energy into sewing and making products (like my tutor has suggested back in uni, even though i'd really resisted the idea.) i sold at a few in-person markets during winter of 2022, but got disheartened by the amount of money i had to sink in up front to sign up for a spot...

which has made me VERY grateful for the people who have supported me via online sales. it has really helped me stay afloat in 2023 - AND it has felt more wonderful than i can describe that there have been people interested in my work... especially when a lot of it has been my original designs, rather than the fanart that i expect a lot of people initially followed me for.

i've also... in the past 2 years... branched out a bit more when it comes to 'being an artist' - and have had the opportunity to deliver arts & crafts workshops with local refugee & asylum seeker support charity, afrocats. it's taken me to their home base in a church to hotels across the city where asylum seekers were temporarily placed while waiting on their new homes, and of course to my beloved whitworth art gallery, where we welcomed visitors from all backgrounds: from the typical white middle class visitors the gallery usually expects, to all the refugee visitors coming into the space for the first time.

and through my volunteering at the whitworth, i showed up so often they decided they might as well pay me. so i've also become a facilitator of... creative play sessions, my favourites of which have been outdoors. monthly, year-round, we have 'outdoor art club', where i get to paint with mud and make potions from leaves with kids & families - here you can see me tell you a little bit about it in this video below with 'crempog' a puppet character that makes videos about activities for kids and families around manchester (my bit starts at 01:10 although i am in the intro and thumbnail haha)

and then of course the summer 'PLAYTIME' activities we've had the past two years: scrap studio in 2022, and play market in 2023. it's the best freelance gig ever -- just to hang out and encourage families to be creative and have fun.

in working more in these new avenues... outside of being - as i've called myself for a long time - "an internet artist"... i've found myself more interested in this sort of thing. in being a "real world artist" too. in doing surface pattern design, and being a workshop facilitator, i find myself wanting to put more energy into these sorts of projects.

in 2023 i've also dabbled a little bit more in youtube videos! i have had a channel for a while and have made videos in previous years, but 2023 has been the year i've done the most in. admittedly most of them haven't been about my art, and more just like... random things that interest me (the spongebob musical in particular) but i've really been enjoying video editing. that's kind of an art form too, so i'm including it here!

moving forward, want to keep putting even more of my energy into other things. my shop, with a bigger range of products to offer. workshops in real life, where i can make a difference.

as for my art blog... i feel like i've done the least drawing in many years in 2023, and... well, things have been weird and complicated for a bit in my real life. i hope to draw for fun a bit more again very soon, and to return to doing things in more of a wild and crazy way, to be more creative and exciting with the way i draw things. still, here's some of my favourites from 2023:

im new to dhmis tumblr do you have any dhmis blogs you recommend i check out?

OH HIIIII HI HI HI OKAY SO. I HAVE A LOT OF FRIENDS IN THE LIL. tumblr dhmis sphere and theyre all great and lovely and I'll introduce you to them all and YOU can decide who you want to follow okay? OKAY!!

First up is my lovely friend Lulu @lulu-draws-stuff who has a cute very crayony pastelly style! :] They also have a keen fashion sense and love drawing the guys in new and fun outfits! They also have some very cute funny comics in there that I very much reccomend -v- )b

Next is my good friend Sodie.. @mtsodie who also runs the account @dailydogdadduo and he has a very textured, experimental style with a lot of variety! Very fun! A lot of his pieces like, you could swear were by different people if you didnt know better, that's how good he is at it!

Also my friend @its-mayo0 draws a TONN of great DHMIS stuff, their style is very loose and colorful! It's extremely funny stuff and I love the way they mix cartoonish antics/proportions with sincerity, their stuff is SOOO FUN!!

theres also @carehounds which is run by my buddy Fio! Theyre most well known iirc for spurring off the little fandom thing of people making their own versions of the trios? Though if you're new you might not know that. Good stuff, esp if you want to see a new spin on the old guys!

There's also all these great pieces from other friends of mine who aren't necessarily DHMIS centric blogs!

On the more written side of things, one of my friends Pere ( @marsupials-of-mars ) is actually writing a pretty good fanfic atm that's still currently updating- but they also do art as well if youre SOLELY looking for that.

Then there's Am @gnomeniche who I believe is mostly well known for their DHMIS analysis posts, they break down a lot of different aspects of the characters and the show (usually with a twinge of meta in the analysis) and, like Pere above, also make fanart on top of that! Though I will warn you a bit that their analysis is very… academicy? Lots of complex concepts and big words that you might not fully get on the first go round. But thats okay! Theyre lots of fun to reread! ^_^ )b

Also in the analysis sphere is my friend Gray @yellow-pig! They also do a pretty good job breaking things down and they talk often about theories and parallels and reoccurring elements in the show, some that I didn't even notice myself! Very fun. As with my other analysis friends, they ALSO draw some! Isn't that wonderful! How the love of this show supersedes mediums!

Also on the writing side but more on the funny side I would say is definitely Roswells' DHMIS blog @joepelling , lots of headcanons and jokes and fun info about the people BEHIND DHMIS. Their side blog, @dailythreeofthem is also really good if you want references for drawing the main three yourself!

Ladies and gentlemen

Here they are:

Winx mythix redesigns are FINALLY done!

So for the main idea for all the transformations, I completely disgarded the ‚prom dress‘ ideas cus

1. They looked nothing like prom dresses

2. They didn't even look like prom dresses

3. Did I mention that they were hideous?

4. They are hideous

So I went a different way.

I asked myself "what do I see when I hear the word 'fire fairy'?"

A fairy with red hair like Bloom?

A fairy made of literal flames?

A person with molten lava as hair?

There is no right to wrong with mythical beings, everyone can interpret them in their own way. So I took that idea and made them more 'in tune' with their own elements!

I left out their wands for now since I wasn't sure what to do with them.

With bloom, I went with the idea of a Fire dancer. Her wings are similar to her mythix one. I tried to make her skin resemble lava and I think I screwed up that part but eh.

For me, being a sky Fairy, I went with a light pastelly sky warrior theme. Speedy, agile and sparkly! I also made the skin slightly transparent cus I thought it would look cool :>

Flora ofc had to be the pretty one. I made her resemble a butterfly, her feet, knees, hands and shoulders are covered with pollen, so she can even pollinate flowers!

Aisha also has a more warrior theme going on. With water hair and even webs on her fingers and ears. Her Main Accessoires are corals and tiny teardrop shaped pearls

Stella ofc has to be one with the sun and moon. I liked the flower she has in her concept mythix design so I gave that back to her. It's a little hard to see but I also gave her tiny blue star freckles :3

Tecna just had to be a robot I'm sorry. She doesn't emotionally change tho ofc. Regardless of her metallic limbs, she has a very human heart and looks badass as a traveling robot ready to kick ass

Musa and Roxy were a little more tricky.

I wanted to show off Musa's Chinese heritage and combined that with a Dirigent. I'm just glad that the combo went really well in my opinion.

Roxy was a lot harder. I eventually settled with a deer-like appearance. And yes she's freaking out the first time she sees her legs turned into that of a satyrs.

But here they are, the Mythix redesigns!

Blaze the Cat - Free and a bit entitled with a firecracker spirit. Known for her signature fire trail she leaves when she runs by. Sonic the Hedgehog - Prince of the Wind. Cool-headed hedgehog who would do anything to protect his people. Blaze brings out his secret rebellious side.

Yea Blaze and Sonic swap. AU Blaze does not have fire powers but she's associated with fire. AU Sonic is an elemental like normal Blaze but with wind instead of fire.

I imagine Sonic still has the chaos emmys and Blaze has the sol emmys. Perhaps Sonic guards them like normal Blaze. I dunno LOL. Was a very spur of the moment idea.

I also swapped their design principles as well as their roles. Sonic is more pastelly with dark markings and Blaze is much simpler and bold.

finally an opportunity to write out my side order theories post and stop thinking about writing a side order theories post… here is my side order rambles

main theory: octo expansion was about envy, return of the mammalians was about nostalgia, so side order will be about ambition or something along those lines. it makes sense: you've escaped. you're climbing a tower over and over again trying to reach the top. maybe this is it. maybe after octo you were only ever out of the frying pan and into the fire.

plus, we had a storyline about forgetting the past, then a storyline about rebuilding the past, so it would make sense that this one would be about the future. (is this the future we dreamed of when we stuck in hell?) the trailer shows what might be a factory producing mem cakes - a machine creating memories. now THAT'S an interesting concept. what kind of future do we want to build, and who is selling us our visions of utopia and why? if people can be made to long for a memory they never even had, what might be the extreme outcome of that?

(if it is a simulated world this time, that means anything can happen. I'm not sure they need to up the spectacle again, but they have a track record of succeeding, so… hopefully this gets wacky.)

probably they will not do this since the splatoon series has made a point of only critiquing the status quo indirectly… but if they are committed to completing this story then it should be about the sea creature society having to reckon with their own failings. the fundamental "joke" of the splatoon series is that everything that exists in it only exists because of the extinction of humanity from climate catastrophe, and yet the new dominant lifeforms have built their own hypercapitalist hellscape with presumably no self-awareness of its shortcomings. it's established in mammalians that the new culture is explicitly modelled on human culture, so logically this is what the whole thing has been building to: an environmental crisis that isn't an external threat that can be quashed through violence but something that requires societal change in order to be averted.

of course, they won't do this. (it's good that they don't. it would feel unconvincing from nintendo.) so here is my list of potential villains for side order:

• Marina: this is a popular suggestion given her general absence from the gameplay that's been shown, and while I wouldn't be totally surprised I think it's more likely that marina is kidnapped or something. maybe the spire of order was her project but something went wrong. I'm just not sure what the storyline would be if marina is the villain (unless she is the revolutionary leader from my other idea) also pearl and marina will kiss when they reunite you heard it here first

• A Mark Zuckerberg Type: there's a lot of implication that side order takes place in some sort of virtual world, so it makes sense that this would be splatoon taking on the "metaverse". (were the levels in previous games all meant to be physical spaces?) it's probably most likely that the villain would be a new company and new character, but maybe this will be the director of ancho-v games or something.

• A Revolutionary Group: this would make sense with the idea of the splatoon series always - in its surface text - being about preserving the status quo. I'm not sure how that would connect with the design of the world, though, given that it seems to be very much about ostentatious with an aesthetic that mixes neomodern instagram bland white rigidity with pastelly makeup/fashion styles and old-school gilded art-deco (or is it nouveau) temples of wealth. it basically looks like if a bank was designed for tiktok? that doesn't scream revolutionary to me, but then this could be a case where the skeleton fish things are attacking the tower rather than them being the tower attacking the characters. maybe the bad guys are trying to corrupt the virtual world before the resources required to run it destroys the planet again. maybe they were right all along…

• Acht: well, the skeleton fish do seem like their kind of style. they could easily be a revolutionary as above. I suspect their role will be more limited though - it's not like Harmony is a main character, and even the idols in octo/mammalians have pretty limited story roles in the grand scheme of things. plus, why would they ally with agent 8 while also trying to kill them? for… test data? (well, we don't know the full implications of acht's sanitisation…)

• Commander Tartar He's Back: as great as a villain as Tartar is, I don't think there'd be any value to come from a rematch. just please not a character from the past this time

• A Different AI (ORCA?): would fit with the "metaverse" idea, but like. we already had an AI villain. I guess ORCA is basically the only loose end from mammalians - a lot of focus on a character who essentially has to role in the plot - but I wouldn't be surprised if that's just because they reused so much of octo expansion's structure in mammalians, needed a new character to fill the cq cumber role, and didn't have any greater plans. but there is that ominous gladosy chamber in the main trailer, so..? maybe agent 8 is being tested, in order to simulate their behaviour. maybe agent 8 is the villain - or a virtual clone… (no that will 100% be a boss fight)

• Toni Kensa: this is probably my favourite idea. it's a character who's been around since the first game but afaik has never been visually depicted. there is an interview in the octo expansion artbook that reveals basically nothing? while the white-and-gold aesthetic of the spire of order isn't an exact match for kensa's iconic black-white-red colour scheme, it's still monochrome, and 100% looks like the kind of thing an evil fashion emperor would build. this would also fit with the idea of a threat coming from within the squid society—although kensa could turn out to be a killer whale, which would be visually interesting but a bit annoying to have another mammal villain.

• Agent 4: another loose end, but could just as easily be dealt with in a throwaway line or cutesy reunion. if it is them, hopefully they are not brainwashed and actually have motivations. (kid icarus: uprising 🤝 splatoon 2 octo expansion - ruining an interesting twist with mind control) I don't know what those motivations would be, but they could be involved with any of these other possible groups.

• There Is No Villain: all the bad stuff is just a manifestation of human cephalopod intolerance! I mean maybe, but this is the splatoon series. they like to have you shoot a big thing with paint until it dies. it would be nice to have the conflict be more nuanced (outside of subtext) but I suspect that doesn't really suit the gameplay style of Kill Things

• Craig Cuttlefish: it SHOULD be him. but it won't

like, at the very least I hope it isn't another villain from the past. they just about managed to keep it interesting in return of the mammalians, and I do love that this is basically the only time i can think of where a sci-fi/fantasy story has outright cast humanity as the villain, but it's getting repetitive.

anyway as you can tell I think a lot about splatoon and am very excited for whatever this is going to be although it would be funny if it turns out to be bad

I think the reason people were frustrated with Callie in s7 is because she never really assured Arizona on wanting to raise Sofia with her. Yes, she said she wanted her in, but that was the extent of it. Callie was still scared Arizona was going to bail and that led to her sort of putting some distance between them. And while this is going on, she’s talking non stop about how Mark is going to be a great father and etc. We never see her say anything about Arizona being a great mom, so of course she feels insecure about it all. I think Callie might of felt it, but not telling Arizona is what led to problems. The bottom line for me is that the writers really thought they were doing something with the Sofia storyline, but failed miserably. It wasn’t the flex they thought it was. It would’ve been more significant to see two women plan to have a baby and see them go through that process. At least in my opinion.

power of hindsight, yada yada yada and all that - but yk what they could’ve done for a more interesting storyline if they really wanted calzona to have a baby: callie who decides she wants to have a baby after the africa breakup and she’s just going to do it on her own.

like picture it:

callie who sort of throws herself into wanting a baby and goes to la soon after arizona leaves to get help from addie

and this is callie we’re talking about, she almost always acts first and thinks later, and she’s hurting over the future she feels she’s lost with arizona and she’s not going to see arizona for three years or maybe ever again so she might as well push on and try and make it work

for ease of the storyline, callie does artificial insemination and it works the first time (so she’ll be pregnant by the time arizona comes back)

odds are, she chooses a blonde haired-blue eyed donor, but she assures addie it has absolutely nothing to do with arizona, she just likes his smile and he seems kind that’s all, nothing at all to do with arizona, that would be ridiculous

all goes well in la and callie’s pregnant, yay! but she’s still super bummed about arizona and she can’t drink so she’s stuck being miserable around drunk people and she hasn’t told anyone about the whole baby thing except for addie bc she thinks everyone will think she’s crazy and she doesn’t want to be the crazy dumped girl (again)

she and mark hook up but like in canon, it just makes callie think about arizona and doesn’t really do anything for her

unlike in canon, callie doesn’t stay with mark bc she knows there’s a baby coming and she can’t be crashing at mark’s bachelor pad and she doesn’t want to move back into her apartment bc it just makes her think of arizona, so she decides to buy a cute little house for herself and her baby and she’s actually very excited for how she’s being responsible and she’s making the life she wanted with arizona

(her house ends up being surprisingly soft and pastelly but again, nothing to do with arizona, callie’s just making it comfortable for her and the baby)

overall, things are going surprisingly well for callie and she still tells herself every day she hates arizona but things could be so much worse - work is going well, the baby is healthy so far, she has her little house

things do start to unravel as they’re wont to do

it starts when mark catches her coming out of ob and he won’t drop the issue and keeps asking if there’s something wrong with her until he finally gets her to admit she’s pregnant, only problem - mark thinks/assumes he’s the dad and goes all in immediately

callie keeps saying he’s not the dad and gets addie to tell him there’s no chance, but mark isn’t listening and it only gets worse when lexie finds out callie’s pregnant and the rumor is that mark’s the dad (bc mark keeps talking about how he’s the dad) and that drives lexie away from mark

all of this is escalating when arizona comes back from africa and she isn’t able to do her whole speech at mark’s door bc she doesn’t know where callie lives so instead they have an awkward run-in at work before the school shooting and then arizona tries to talk to callie in surgery and tells her afterwards that she’ll tell her she loves her and apologize every day for the rest of their lives, etc but callie’s understandably wary of this

things get worse when arizona hears about the rumor that callie’s pregnant with mark’s baby and arizona doesn’t want to believe it but also it’s not impossible and arizona actively avoids callie for nearly a week and marks always around callie, which lends credence to the rumor

it comes to a head when callie confronts arizona about ignoring her and what happened to showing up every day and arizona saying she knows callie’s pregnant and she’s really happy for her and callie’s just dumbfounded and arizona who’s abjectly miserable kissing her cheek and whispering she’s really sorry she couldn’t make callie happy but she hopes she and mark and their baby are

which leads to callie blurting out it’s not mark’s baby it’s just hers, addie helped her with a donor and everything and it’s really not mark’s

arizona is thrown and doesn’t really know what to say and this really is the best possible outcome for her

things sort of proceed like in canon where arizona needs a day and mark is still hovering around callie bc he’s a moron but then callie kicks him out of the room for the heartbeat scene bc it’s not his baby and arizonas all in

mark continues to try and be overly involved bc lexie’s sort of over how there’s always drama with mark and mark is a bit fixated on callie and how it could be his family but callie really just wants to have a family with arizona

and cue soft, domestic calzona in their little house

I had a dream that there was more Rapunzels Tangeled Adventure, in a different animation style and one was years later when Varian was an adult that was live action.

And it was so GOOD!

Im so mad it doesn't actually exist. There was this new character introduced named Annabelle who became Varian's best friend with romantic undertones. Like they weren't together but if they WANTED to be they'd certainly have worked. And by the end, in the live action, because of a war that had sprung up in Corona, Annabelle got fatally wounded, so Varian took her over by the river where they used to hang out together when they were younger, held her there and told the river "take Annabelle with you" while she bled out, because there was nothing he could do to save her.

I can't remember the details, but she and her brother had had a rocky relationship and she thought he didn't love her, but it was actually her brother's self-sacrificial love that allowed the magical artifact to work and save her life.

And the animation for the animated part had these like bright colors, this slight almost pastelly type feel to the color pallete, and very flowy, crisp animation. It wasn't the same art style as the actual RTA.

I'm still so upset it doesn't actually exist, for a moment when I woke up I thought it did.

I just found something in my notes and apparently it was some sort of drawing idea I had written down a while back or whatever and I was going on and on about how I want the color pallet to be calm and pastelly and then i said, in these exact words, "I don't want the painting yelling at people so no caps lock colors." And I'm kinda proud of myself for that "caps lock colors" bit and will be using it in the future thank you very much.

Drop the $50 fountain pen stationary sites 🥺

my favourite places to snoop around are cultpens [best ink selection in the UK imo], jetpens, andy's pens [mix of old stock and vintage stuff], the writing desk and thepencompany. gouletpens has a youtube channel that i keep abreast of but i don't like buying from them because they're obsessed with noodler's who i fucking hate. fountain pen network is a great resource but website seems to be down right now. i'm gonna use this as an excuse to waffle now bc i love pens thank you.

at the moment i'm most interested in the TWSBI iris colourways (rainbow anodised metal !!!) [piston fill / vac fill] also their rose gold and jade green eco-t. i like the look and feel of brass pens, there's a few available but the traveler's company one seems to have best reviews atm. kaweco's is a very nice design though. have heard good things about opus88 and i have my eye on the halo. conklin duragraph is a lot less fun looking than most pens i'm into but they are really nice to write with and last forever.

this one [sailor hi-ace neo] is actually very cheap but are apparently the best starter calligraphy pens available right now. ferris wheel press have this gorgeous pen i'm very curious about but i've never tried any of their ink.

my favourite that i own so far is moonman c1. completely impractical for carrying around with me but i insist on doing it anyway. i really like lamy nibs but all the ones i like the look of have irritatingly tiny ink capacity. most of the time i'm just using a set of beat up old wing sun 3008s because you can get 4 for less than 20£ on amazon and as long as you take care of the nibs they're very hardwearing. it's basically the store brand version of a TWSBI diamond so i would recommend those over the 3008 if you can afford it.

i also desperately still want this colorverse special edition set the colours are soooooo nice [new horizons]. for years you couldn't buy colorverse anywhere in the uk so now that it's available here it's taking immense self-control to not go absolutely batshit.
