- Story Summary -

Laurence starts out as a bright student and scholar of Byrgenwerth, sent there because of his promising intelligence. However it comes to be seen that Master Willem and Laurence are at opposition in regards to the use of the Old Blood found. Willem feared it because of the ultimate effects of the Old Blood on the body, where Laurence sought to use it to heal mankind and elevate humanity. This caused a schism within Byrgenwerth, eventually leading to Laurence leaving the school (along with those that followed his beliefs) and starting the Healing Church, becoming the First Vicar.

New Bloodborne OC Thoughts and Rambles: Scholar Simon of Byrgenwerth and the lovely Lizzie

Beware, dark themes under the cut (**so don’t read if dark stuff/themes bothers you!!**) !! :

- A new and upcoming scholar from Byrgenwerth named Simon has been discovered by the Vicar Laurence and brought to the Healing Church to apply his Blood Ministration work, when this man finds out the truth behind their dark and arcane work. This scholar meets a woman by name of Lizzie who resides in the Cathedral Ward, treated as some sort of Saint of the Old Blood. Given to Vicar Amelia Kept under a tight watch, she is determined to find out this woman’s true nature. Simon feels pity for the woman, and his ultimate goal is to help her escape without Laurence finding out.

- At first, Simon is naive to Laurence’s studies and work, and when this scholar meets Lizzie, doesn’t understand why she is being kept apart from everyone. When he finally speaks with her alone from her captors, she tells him of how she came from a poor family, and that she is lucky to have been given a roof over her head and food by the good people of the Healing Church in exchange for the work they are doing. Tells how the Vicars have been kind to her, never cruel.
