#101DalmatianStreet #Save101DalmatianStreet #Disney #DisneyPlus #101Dalmatians #Commissions
My dedicated pups! Let me introduce to you a newly revamped commission price sheet. This time, I'm opening up new options for commissioners, with the added addition to comic pages, and of course 101 Dalmatian Street OC Reference Sheets!🎨🖌️✏️
As a growing artist, animator and supporter of 101 Dalmatian Street, I'm working to build on my finances to purchase new video editing, animation and art softwares for my 101DS fan-projects and of course my savings for future priorities.💰💵
There are MANY new options to choose from in this new price sheet, so if you're interested for:
- Art Pic
- Profile Pic
- 101DS OC Ref Sheet
- Comic Page
How you want your art piece to look depends on the price.
DM me on Twitter/Bluesky/Discord right away and I'll gladly take any kind of artwork!😁
Slots: 0 of 10
Status: OPEN!!
PLEASE NOTE:
- I do mainly 101 Dalmatian Street artwork, but I can gladly do non-101DS artwork commissions for other IPs and franchises!
- I can accept up to only three 101DS OC ref sheets at a time, to avoid pressure and time consumption.
- Please do NOT ask me for any last-minute changes and suggestions to the art style for the commission while its in finishing stages. By the time the art piece would be finished, it would already be too late to go back and change the entire art style, not to mention that it's highly time consuming, so PLEASE for the love of dog, don't ask. The only changes I can do is slight re-adjustments, repositioning, and color changes if asked, but nothing related to art style.
- There are strict limits to what fetishes I'll allow for commissions. The only fetishes I can accept are macro and light weight gain. I will NOT accept any artwork that contains hard fetishes like vore, feet, diapers, bodily fluids, sex, etc... Anything that can make users uncomfortable.
(The type of vore I can limit myself to is cartoony and accidental. No digestion, no soft or fatal vore, and no intentional vore.)
- NO NSFW content!
- NO sibling shippings please.
- I don't have any other bank accounts other than Paypal and BoA, so if you don't have a paypal or a bank account that supports Paypal, talk to me through the DM's and we'll try to work something out for a solution.
Other than that, my ears are open for any creative ideas!
- I don't have any other bank accounts other than Paypal and BoA, so if you don't have a paypal or a bank account that supports Paypal, talk to me through the DM's and we'll try to work something out for a solution.

[Review] Legend of Kay Anniversary (Wii U)
Tumblr media
An unremarkable PS2 action-adventure.
After immersing myself in Avatar media for so long I looked around for any other games set in Asia-inspired fantasy worlds but made by Westerners. This let me knock one off my Wii U backlog, the 2015 remaster of the 2005 PS2 game Legend of Kay. Neon Software, the German studio behind the original game, are known to me for their Amiga Sonic clone Mr. Nutz: Hoppin' Mad, and it's somewhat fitting that their final game before closure was this other furry platformer. Some of the Neon cofounders went on to form Keen Games, which seems to have morphed into a new Kaiko... the original Kaiko being the company that the Mr. Nutz Hoppin' Mad team left to form Neon in the first place! Who knows how long they'll survive now under the aegis of the troubled and layoff-happy Embracer, but it's been four years since their last remaster...
Anyway, this game is a sort of 3D Zelda-like-slash-3D platformer filled with anthropomorphic animal characters, which as a Rare fan sounds up my alley. Comparing it to Starfox Adventures may be a little generous though: this is very much a B-tier PS2 action game, and a graphical revamp for new generation consoles can't magically fix the mediocrity.
Tumblr media
To get the plot out of the way: it's extremely Normal. Kay is a "plucky" (read: obnoxious) protagonist, using his martial arts training to fight back against the occupation of his cat village by evil gorillas and rats. He travels his island to settlements of rabbits, frogs, and pandas to free them from oppression. I think it's telling that there are no credits given for story or writing; anything story-related is constantly undermined by overly shallow characterisations, completely functional video game progression (go here to get key to open door to go there etc.), and the most brain-dead "banter". For example, Kay thinks the height of action hero quips is to call a rat "cheese-breath" about a hundred times.
The latter issue is not helped by some misguided voice acting choices. It's a fully voiced game but you'll wish it wasn't with Kay's bland sarcastic schtick and almost every other character uncomfortably presenting as a borderline racist caricature. Mostly it's white people doing faux-"Asian" accents, although apparently crocodiles are Eastern European and frogs are... Jamaican, for some reason? I was glad to find a setting that let me skip any dialogue scene with a quick tap of X, because there's no other way to speed up the tedious exposition and pointless back-and-forth when you meet enemy groups.
Tumblr media
There's only a handful of what you might call "puzzles", and the platforming ranges from "not bad" to "OK", serviceable but doesn't excel. The biggest strength and biggest weakness of the game is its combat, which is pretty involved. You can swap between three weapons which have different attributes, you often have to get around enemy blocks so there's a Wind Waker-style roll around move to hit their back, but you can also zip between targets during a combo, or use rolling, crouching, or jump attacks. You can carry up to 5 usable items which sometimes are used to explore but you have to rely on them for combat encounters late in the game when they start throwing waves at you with hordes of armoured enemies. When the difficulty spikes like this, it all just becomes too much and goes from an exercise in creatively using moves to keep your combo up to a struggle to survive (and if you die, you lose any consumables you used in your last attempt, also there's a lives system for some reason??).
I said combat might be the game's strength and it was clearly a focus of the project, but I had the most fun exploring the little worlds. There's lots of goodies to collect, mostly in the form of chests and pots containing money. You quickly end up with more than you'll ever spend but I still liked finding it. The point multiplier mechanic may seem superfluous but when you get accustomed to the flow of the platforming sections, grabbing coloured crystals to keep this combo going to make your fights and coins worth more points becomes addictive. The level design may be nothing special but the zones you traverse have some character to them.
Tumblr media
It should be noted that this is a semi-linear game, in that the levels are mostly open to explore with events and sub-dungeons within them, but you progress from one field to the next with no way to go back. This bit me on more than one occasion when I blundered into the story trigger to move on before turning in one of the rare sidequests or going down a side path to find a health extension, making it permanently missable. This frustration prompted me to occasionally consult a Gamefaqs guide with maps during each subsequent chapter. The game does give you a minimap in the corner of the screen but it can't be expanded to a full map so it's less useful than it could be.
Legend of Kay would have felt middling even at release but rereleasing it just makes its deficiencies even more obvious. It's still got some charm for being "of that era" (I was often reminded of The Hobbit's action-adventure game from the same generation, but with fewer instant death pits), so I got some enjoyment from it. And it has some ideas that work, like the acrobatic combat and combo system. While some of the environments look nice there were just as many drab areas, and the repeated character model reuse got old. Oh, and sometimes you ride an animal and it's not fun. On the whole, I can't recommend this one... even if you ignore the cringey cultural stereotypes!!

Lost media quest: H&G Epic Tales (part 3)
Last time I ended my post while exploring the defunct epictales.com website. There was one page of this website (preserved in the Wayback Machine) that I did not add in this post: the About page.
Tumblr media
The About page not only describes the Epic Tales line, but also lists the full staff that worked on this project. Here is what the website contains:
EPIC TALES™ is a developer and publisher of interactive storybooks for the iOS platform. EPIC TALES presents its own unique interactive adaptation of the imaginative and magical stories found in fairytales, folklore and world mythology.
All of our tales are narrated by our central storyteller, a most likeable dwarf named Silvertongue who used his magic to let our books and stories come to life. Each storybook offers stunning hand-drawn animations, a revamped storyline, original music scores, and spellbinding interactive environments that are sure to draw readers deep into the story.
EPIC TALES allows you to not only enjoy magical worlds and enchanting tales, but to experience them more closely than ever before.
We, the people at EPIC TALES, are always inspired by stories that fuel our ideas and imagination. We are storytellers, animators, and composers that gladly indulge ourselves in folklore, mythology, and the many tales and stories that have captured our imagination for generations. The result is a talented team of people driven to create original storybooks that are filled with whimsical characters, spellbinding environments, and interactive surprises. By combining creativity with technology, and talent with expertise, we hope to constantly produce exciting tales that bring every page to life. EPIC TALES is a joint venture between Cloud Castle Interactive and Anikey studios.

The website also briefly offers descriptions/curriculum of the staff members:
Paul Hanraets Paul Hanraets has been a creative entrepreneur since 2002 when he co-founded Red Road Media, a media agency specialized in video games. Successful projects undertaken by Red Road include: Benelux largest annual game event Gamexpo, the tv show GAME FACTS broadcasted by TMF/MTV and the freely distributed game magazine Games Guide. In 2008 Paul founded Cloud Castle Interactive and was involved in the development of smaller game projects which further awakened his passion for the creative industry. As an immediate result Paul founded EPIC TALES, a developer of interactive storybooks for IOS and GAMBITIOUS an equity based crowdfunding platform dedicated to the games industry.
Albert ‘t Hooft & Paco Vink Albert 't Hooft and Paco Vink both studied traditional animation at the Willem de Kooning Art Academy in Rotterdam before they founded Anikey Studios in 2007. Anikey is an award winning animation studio which specialises in hand drawn 2D digital animation. Anikey creates independent and commissioned animations for television, films and games which have an emphasis on story, characters and fun. Anikey's first two independent films 'Paul & the Dragon' and 'Little Quentin' won several awards at international film festivals. In addition on working on the new EPIC TALES titles, Anikey is developing the first hand drawn animated feature film in the Netherlands since 30 years.
Lou Attia Working with the likes of Disney and Sesame Street, Lou Attia has been a professional voice-over artist for over 15 years. After studying professional vocals in London, England, Lou landed a radio host position at 104.2 Nile FM in Cairo, Egypt where he became Creative Director and then Program Director of the station. Throughout his seven years on the air, during which his morning show went on to be the No.1 listened to radio show in a city of 16 million, Lou continued to do voice-overs for numerous commercials, shows and features. In 2010 Lou moved to Toronto, Canada where he is currently a full time voice-over artist, writer and TV show host.
Martin van Spanje Currently co-owner of LayerGloss Digital Publishing, Martin used to program and design on 8-bit Sinclair machines in the eighties. Then came Macs, digital audio, ten years of IT-projects and finally, iOS. Nowadays he lives his life surrounded by Objective-C code, and he sometimes thinks cornflakes look a bit like people. Oh, and he doesn't do Twitter.
Joost van den Broek Joost van den Broek is a producer, composer, arranger and keyboardplayer based in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Starting out as a keyboardplayer for several metalbands like After Forever touring all over the world, he finished his conservatory with honour in musicproduction, keyboards and classical arrangement. Since then he been working as a freelancer in his own studio on several productions, compositions and arrangements, for acts/events like: Ellen ten Damme, Symphonica in Rosso, Wende Snijders, Games in Concert, Ben Saunders, Qlimax. Epic moviescores and/or/in combination with (pop/alternative)rock is what defines his style the most.
Arjen Schut Arjen Schut is a sound designer based in Hilversum, The Netherlands. As a freelancer Arjen has worked on numerous projects, both on location and in his own studio. Arjen is involved in sound effect creation for all sorts of media, but has a strong focus on interactive and animation projects. International blockbuster Killzone 3 being one of the larger projects.
Tumblr media
I have taken upon myself to contact some of these artists, just in case they were open about talking or sharing information about the animation they worked onto. Is it a bad idea, or a good one? I don't know but that's the most straightforward direction one can take. I will warn you if I ever receive any response, positive or negative.
I forgot to link before the official page, on the Anikey Animation website, for their work on Hansel and Gretel - Epic Tales. Not only does it contain large, high-quality screenshots of the artwork, but their "Production" page also has one concept art for the storybook. They also list the credits of the app as such:
Title: Epic Tales - Hansel & Gretel
Release: 2012
Directed by: Albert 't Hooft & Paco Vink
Animation by: Jelle Brunt, David Muchtar & Ruben Zaalberg
Backgrounds by: Paco Vink & Sjan Weijers
Music by: Joost van den Broek
Sounddesign by: Arjen van der Schut
Producer(s): Paul Hanraets for Cloud Castle Interactive
Tumblr media
AppAdvice still has a page dedicated to the application. There is also a review by the MacTrast website that is quite interesting because, while today the pictures contained within it are "dead files", in the Wayback Machine you can fetch them back, and they are pretty rare screenshots of the game! Here's an additional Dutch article I forgot to add earlier. Again, not much to add since they all basically just announce the game's release and rephrase the storybook's commercial description.
I also don't think I have added this to my previous posts, but Cartoon Brew also had a page for the app's launching, which contained this text:
The Hague, the Netherlands — April 24, 2012 — Hansel and Gretel – Epic Tales animated storybook is the first in a series of tales as told by Silvertongue, the likeable dwarf and storyteller, and is now available on the Appstore for IPad and IPhone.
Hansel and Gretel – Epic Tales animated storybook offers a world filled with whimsical characters ranging from pesky gnomes to witty dwarfs; from brave children to wicked stepmothers and cunning witches.
“But we are not just another fairytale App,” says Paul Hanraets, founder and producer. “What sets Epic Tales apart from other storybooks are the incredible production values. Each of Epic Tales storybooks are digitally hand-drawn by our award winning animators, and offer stunning 2d animations, professional voice acting, original music scores and ambient sounds by game industry veterans. These elements combined offer spellbinding interactive environments that are sure to draw readers even deeper into the story.”
“Of course, our alternating witty and wacky humour and the high quality of our animations are amongst the things that separates Hansel and Gretel from other storybooks,” says creative director Albert ‘t Hooft.”However, what ultimately distinguishes Epic Tales is the implementation of our central storyteller, Silvertongue the dwarf.” Using the magic of pesky gnomes, Silvertongue brings the stories to life and narrates them.”Silvertongue used to be quite the adventurer, travelling the world in search of the most intriguing tales and stories, and now looks after your storybook collection in his humble bookstore. He is a truly gifted storyteller who can take an audience from a gasp of fright to a roar of laughter in just the twist of a phrase.”
Epic Tales is a series of high quality, interactive fairytales that allows you to not only enjoy enchanting tales, but to experience their magical worlds more closely than ever before. Children will love the sense of wonder and discovery, while adults will certainly appreciate the clever and wacky humor.
Tumblr media
A final piece to add to the dossier so far is Muchtar Productions' page for Hansel and Gretel - Epic Tales. Muchtar Production is the WordPress website of David Muchtar, a 2D animator and illustrator who worked on the Epic Tales animation as a (I quote) "Rough and Clean-up animator". He notably put within his portfolio an important number of concept art for the game's character designs. But, as with last time, I will keep it for the NEXT post!
Or... an almost final piece. I wanted to keep this for a much later post, but I ultimately decided to share it here. I vaguely described before one unofficial source for content about "Hansel and Gretel - Epic Tales". And that is an online review, a Youtube video, by a Youtuber named "Crazy Mike" specializing in app reviews. Here is the video, and the reason why this video is important (beyond it being the last remaining video review - unless I manage to get back the one from the defunct website) is because so far it is the only visual recording we have of the app outside of the trailers. Not only that, but at one point Crazy Mike opens the list of chapters within the app - which gives us a full glimpse of the story's main episodes, with thumbnails of each "tableau". Mind you, it is tiny details at the bottom of the screen so we can't get much of it... But with all the additional material I gathered, it will be a key element in my reconstruction of what the storybook looked like and was about.

update
hello, yoko here.
so some of you may noticed that i changed my username, you can still call me as yoko but once the revamping is started, you will no longer call me by that name. i want to seperate myself from that name that made me known on the smg4 fandom.
this is a very long explanation so its under the cut, and note to people on tumblr around: it contains controversal stuffs happening on glitch productions
this change is because of the smg4 controversy that happened recently, with the main one being taris old va (celeste notley-smith) being replaced by a new one. which is okay at first because celeste is a mother and a teacher and needs to focus on other stuffs and yadda yadda, until you found out that she fired from glitch after 6 years.
6.
FUCKING
YEARS.
now picture this: you are one of the first voice actor/actress from a recently new company, only to get replaced by a new one after years of voicing a character that you dearly love. the new tari va (lottie baurne) almost sounds like her old va and thats okay, but this situation is awful. not only that, robyn (smg2s former voice actress) is stepping down from glitch because of that. she recently made a video about this controversy on her channel "anime america", so please make sure to watch it.
yeah yeah i know jasmine yang (the voice director) made an apology, but that… is just not that good. sometimes we always forget things, but her apology? this is meh. im hoping to see celestes respond about her apology so the situation will be calm once again (like it was used to be… back in the early years). im also looking forward for the lerdwichagul brothers' responds as well.
and about the other controversy, we got glassdoor ratings about employee mismanagement coming from ex-workers, thanks to the ceo… aka kevin. i dont understand why kevin was hated by everyone back then, but it turns out that they are right. kevin is a completely different person with cameras OFF. that one scene from the episode "smg4… are you okay?" where smg4 tortures toads into manipulation by making videos for his channel became more obvious with this one. the good side is we havent heard about luke (smg4) yet.
on the other hand, i will probably start a career as a utau producer once i have speakers for my pc, dowloaded utau, and practiced how to use that software (hence the "prod" on my url). there is a chance that kikyuune aiko will be my main. smg4 stuffs will still be around, however you will see less smg4 stuffs here due to the controversy and the fact that this is a multifandom account aside from my likes. buuuuut that does not mean ill stop working on pandemic love distortion. (for those who didnt know about this one, its a wip smg34 fanfic made by me that was put on developmental hiatus due to irl stuff)
and for those who havent heard of it already, i will permanently post all my future arts to @blueberry-arts, but previous arts from my main will still be here and remain. so if you want new arts from mine go to my other account pls 🙏
soooooo i guess that will be all. thank you for reading.
signed, yoko. 🫐

Pseudo-historical project about 1912 unit record equipment computation aka the "Symbolic Analyst Processor" full stack!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(above pictures emulate the looks of what this tech stack documentation and actual use may look like, still very early in the process though)
It is still coming together by my head as I write infodump notes and research various aspects of the whole time, (including the WIMP & MERN/MEAN stack) but yk, things are coming together nicely to give some milestone project mid-way between my current phase in life and the next where I go develop a fully alternative INTJ lively stack of tools. Explanations, history dives, lively reaction studies and a couple more content suggestions related to it are on the way.
Behold, the infodumps
"Top-bottom and back up workflow" 1910 / 1912 Unit Record Equipment Tabulator Computation "Bundle" Project (Pflaumen & Utalics' SymbolicAnalystProcessor)
Information Processing Language / LISP 1.5 / Bel, A-BASIC / DIBOL, Spreadsheets, Cellular Automaton, COS-310, magnetic tape storage too, TECO / VIM, Assembly, Wirebox, Tabulator, Alphanumeric Interpreter, Printer, RTTY device, Data Recording, Bulk Data Processing Indexed Cards, 60-64 entries Deque, 4K Direct-use RAM, 12K * 24 storage devices, Phonebook, Timeclock, DateTime Calendar, Programmable, Statistics, Demographics, Voting, Ledger, Journal, Logging, Rolodex, 12 Generic-use Registers & 4 Special Registers, Catalog, ~16 Keys Pad, Customized Hexadecimal Numeric Representation for "MachineCode" Hexdumps, 4*12 bits per page of data, Macros, Paracosm, may be useful for Military & Civilian Uses, Electrical Energy (and possibly incorporates some mechanical energy too), Nouns & Verbs, "Vector" XY plotter, Lambda Calculus / Panini Grammar / Universal Turing Machine Thesis, Rotors, Ural TriodeVaccumTube "Mainframe", Interactive-Use, Hypertext Interactive Video Terminal, Memex, Modem, Electric + Radio Telegraphy, Document-processing, Word-processing, Orange Plasma Touchscreen Terminal, Time-sharing, Cash Register, Bank, Automatic Teller Machine, Vending Machine, Oracle, Typewriter / Selectric, IBM 701, IBM 1440, IBM 403, IBM System/360, OpenPOWER, F#, IBM Tellum, MUD, TextWorld, solo text-adventures, Email, AIX, z/OS, Linux for IBM mainframes, Symbolic Processing System, Autocoder, modular, IBM Lotus Suite, interface with KDE or CDE, paper handling equipment, Addventure, 12-bit basic data unit as designated word, Distributed Interactive System, VeneraFS (cladogram Parade+DolDoc), GNU Hurd / MINIX3-style Microkernel, either permissive FLOSS license or public domain waiver, extensive documentation, printed illustrated booklets, music-playback, emulator / compiler / bytecode / interpreter, analog media-friendly, mostly for didactic tinkering educational uses, multilingual reconfigurable programming, HTML+CSS, Markdown, Argdown, DMA, hardware-friendly, software development environment for direct-access programmers and aesthetic designers, sub-version control system like Git, various hardware & software implementations, museum / observatory Toymaker story, constructed languages / imaginative paracosm influences around the immersive in-world lore of the "16^12" pseudo-historical setting…
Back to the point
The list is far from exhaustive or finished, as life is so much more than meets the eye. But this should be a good start to remind myself what I am working towards, a full revamp of the last ~120 years of history with much attention and care put into making it as satisfying to me as possible, despite the very probable scenario where people take the ideas and incorporate only some of such "modules" in their own workflows. Which is fine but not taking the whole package (and only specific modules) is eventually gonna be a major learning experience for me considering the reason I revamp it all beyond control freak stuff is literally to provide less exclusive / less invasive tools that anyone can learn and customize despite being very... idiosyncratic yk.
Still welcoming suggestions and constructive criticism for such big time, I hope those textual infodumps I do every so often don't bother you too much... Cya soon!

Tech bro "leadership" principles that metastasize into UI/UX design spaces is a real problem and we can only hope (with good reason) that it's not pervasive in Tumbyland.
It's why that cold, antiseptic "blue + white" palette is so pervasive in software design (Facebook! and um Twitter! and some other things! are BLUE and WHITE! we should do that! too! duh!). Dullest, laziest, most anti-accessible palette of 'em all (i.e. actually viable palettes, don't get it twisted). Fucking knock it off! Blue and white can eat my whole entire ass me! Thankfully, Tumblr gives you options here. I'm just saying "be wary of this kind of idiotic, uninspired design spiral".
"Oh, our platform is hard to use if you haven't been terminally jacked into it like the Matrix for 15 years? Time to revamp all the controls and button layout and basic functionality! Time to make everything FUN and BRIGHT! And SIMPLE. Also users need to be drip-fed every single piece of content." Ok, granted, modern software (for multiple reasons that touch multiple levels) has given us the attention span of a stick of butter with a concussion. But people don't use social software because it's easy to use. That conversation is for the realms of, like, Microsoft Word and Canva and shit. People use Tumblr for the experience. Make improvements to the backend? Yeah, for sure. But it's worth noting that... hang on, let's do another bullet point for this one:
The people who have stayed on Tumblr + the people who have migrated here from other platforms have one core thing in common: we're here because Tumblr is NOT what other platforms ARE.
Ultimate point: if you're at the kind of crossroads Tumblr currently is, you have two options. 1) Commit to a significant revamp and hope for the best. Worth noting that this doesn't always end well. 2) Choose to build on the foundation of your strengths and weave onboarding into that experience for the benefit of all the new users you're anticipating.*
Basically, don't try to be everything to everyone. Be everything to the people who live here and to those who will discover this place and decide to stay. Design for your extant, potential, and above all viable userbase. Don't design for Chad Appman.
*And no, I don't mean 5 clicks of WalkMe or other guided walkthrough; I also don't mean a dissertation on Tumblr use and etiquette. I mean (as others have said before) exhume the FAQ and Frankenstein that shit back to life, give a newbie some optional screenshots/infographics and maybe a video or three. Improve the launchpad. As you've said before, @staff, Tumby is about discovery.
source: years of frontend software design, tech support, onboarding, quality and community management, technical writing, and fighting for user-centric design rooted in accessibility principles
the "tumblr is hard to use 🥺" comment from staff is so funny bc like. its not untrue. but the solution isnt to make everything algorithmic, its to stop hiding the FAQ pages deep inside the site. just like. explain shit to new users. a concept. also obviously just fix the search function

What to Expect from a Freelance Web Designer
Tumblr media
Introduction
Hiring a freelance web designer is a smart move for businesses looking to build or revamp their online presence. These professionals bring flexibility, creativity, and specialized expertise to the table. Unlike agencies, freelancers often offer a more personalized touch and cost-effective services. Understanding what to expect from them can help set realistic goals and ensure project success. This blog explores the key areas where freelance web designers shine and what you, as a client, should anticipate. From communication to technical skills, we’ll cover it all. Whether you're launching a startup or upgrading your current site, this guide is for you. Let's dive into the essentials of working with a freelance web designer.
1. Customized Web Design Tailored to Your Brand
A freelance web designer takes time to understand your business goals and target audience. They focus on crafting designs that reflect your brand identity and create a memorable user experience. Instead of using cookie-cutter templates, they often build custom designs from scratch. Expect them to offer color palettes, typography options, and layouts that align with your vision. They'll also consider your feedback during the design process. This collaborative approach ensures your website feels authentic and unique. A strong design foundation also supports better SEO and user engagement. Ultimately, a freelance designer delivers a site that speaks directly to your audience.
2. Flexible Work Process and Communication Style
Unlike agencies with rigid structures, freelancers usually offer more flexible timelines and processes. This allows for quicker adaptations and changes along the way. Communication can be more direct, often via email, Slack, or even video calls. You’ll typically work one-on-one, which reduces misunderstandings. Freelancers often adjust their workflow based on client preferences. This makes it easier to align expectations and speed up revisions. Clear communication ensures project milestones are met without delays. Transparency in updates and progress is also a key benefit. This personalized interaction is a major advantage of hiring a freelance web designer.
3. Expertise in Modern Design Tools and Technologies
Freelance web designers stay up-to-date with the latest design software and web trends. Expect proficiency in tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and Canva. On the development side, many are skilled in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms like WordPress or Webflow. They often have experience creating responsive designs that look great on all devices. Many also incorporate animation, interactivity, and SEO-friendly coding practices. Their tech-savviness allows them to implement advanced features with ease. You benefit from modern, high-performing websites without needing a full development team. Hiring a freelance web designer ensures your site is built with cutting-edge tools.
4. Cost-Effective Pricing with Transparent Rates
Freelance web designers often charge lower rates than agencies while delivering high-quality results. Pricing structures vary — hourly, per project, or based on deliverables. Transparency in quotes and contracts is common, so you’ll know exactly what you're paying for. Many offer packages that include design, development, and maintenance. This can be more affordable than hiring separate specialists. Freelancers also tend to have lower overhead costs, passing those savings on to you. You can often negotiate based on your budget and project scope. Overall, freelancers offer great value for money without compromising on quality.
5. Portfolio and Past Work as a Reference Point
One of the best ways to evaluate a freelance web designer is through their portfolio. Most freelancers showcase their work on personal websites or platforms like Behance and Dribbble. You can review past projects to gauge design style, creativity, and technical ability. A strong portfolio demonstrates their experience across industries and design types. It also helps set realistic expectations for your own project. Many portfolios include client testimonials, which add credibility. Always ask for examples similar to your industry. Reviewing a designer’s past work gives you a clearer idea of what to expect.
6. Timely Delivery and Professional Responsibility
Freelance web designers understand the importance of deadlines and often pride themselves on timely delivery. They usually provide a project timeline that includes milestones and estimated completion dates. Staying on schedule helps build client trust and ensures project success. Many freelancers use project management tools to keep things organized. Being self-managed professionals, they are typically proactive in meeting commitments. If delays occur, they communicate clearly and propose solutions. This professionalism helps avoid last-minute surprises. When hiring a freelance web designer, expect someone who values your time as much as their own.
7. Revisions and Post-Launch Support
Most freelance web designers include a set number of revisions in their packages. This allows you to refine your website before launch. Feedback sessions are part of the process, ensuring the final product meets your expectations. Post-launch, some designers offer ongoing support for bug fixes, updates, or minor edits. Others may offer monthly maintenance plans. It’s important to clarify this during the hiring process. Having access to continued support brings peace of mind. Freelancers who care about client satisfaction often go the extra mile. This makes them a reliable partner even after the project is complete.
8. Long-Term Relationship Potential
Working with a freelance web designer can lead to a long-term collaboration. Once they understand your brand, they become more efficient at delivering future projects. Many clients continue to work with the same designer for updates, redesigns, or marketing materials. Trust and familiarity streamline the creative process. Long-term partnerships can also lead to discounted rates and faster turnaround times. Freelancers value repeat business and often prioritize returning clients. As your business evolves, your designer can adapt your site to match. This ongoing relationship adds real value over time.
Conclusion
Choosing a freelance web designer offers numerous benefits, from personalized design and cost savings to long-term collaboration. Their flexibility, technical skills, and one-on-one approach make them ideal for businesses of all sizes. By understanding what to expect — from design expertise to communication style — you’ll set the stage for a successful and enjoyable project. With the right freelancer, your website will not only look great but perform effectively too. Make sure to review portfolios, ask clear questions, and establish expectations from the start. Investing in the right freelance designer can transform your digital presence.

How Businesses Can Leverage Technology to Enhance Office Efficiency
Introduction of Leverage Technology:
In today’s fast-paced business environment, the role of Leverage technology has evolved beyond just an operational tool. It has become a strategic asset for organizations looking to stay competitive, maximize productivity, and streamline processes. Harnessing Leverage technology effectively can drive efficiency across departments, optimize workflows, and enhance collaboration among employees. Businesses that embrace technological advancements can improve decision-making, reduce costs, and create a more agile working environment. In this blog, we explore how companies can leverage technology to boost staff productivity, streamline communication, and improve operational efficiency.
Revamp Your Office Communication Strategy in Leverage Technology:
Effective communication lies at the heart of productivity and collaboration within any organization. Traditional communication methods, such as email, often lead to delays in decision-making and misunderstandings. By implementing instant messaging software like Slack or Microsoft Teams, businesses can facilitate faster and more dynamic interactions between team members. These platforms allow employees to engage in real-time conversations, share files, and even create dedicated channels for specific projects or departments.
Real-time communication provides a significant advantage, especially in remote or hybrid work environments, where traditional in-person meetings may not always be feasible. Employees can quickly address questions, resolve issues, and exchange ideas, leading to faster decision-making and smoother workflows. Moreover, the ability to organize conversations by topic, project, or department ensures that employees can easily access relevant information, making communication more efficient and less time-consuming.
Additionally, integrating collaboration tools such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 with your messaging platforms can further enhance the ability to work together, share documents, and collaborate on projects seamlessly. By embracing digital communication tools, businesses not only increase team productivity but also foster a more connected and collaborative work culture.
Set Up Video Conferencing for Seamless Communication in Leverage Technology:
The rise of video conferencing has revolutionized how businesses interact with remote teams, clients, and partners. Platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet. Microsoft Teams allow employees to conduct meetings, discussions, and consultations without the need for travel. With video conferencing, employees can engage face-to-face, regardless of their physical location, leading to more effective and personal communication.
One of the significant benefits of video conferencing is the ability to record meetings. which can be useful for participants who may not be able to attend live. Recorded sessions ensure that key information, decisions, and action items are preserved, enabling employees to review them later. This functionality boosts meeting productivity as it allows participants to focus on the discussion without the distraction of taking detailed notes. Furthermore, video calls can be easily integrated with screen sharing features, enabling employees to showcase presentations, documents, or data to colleagues and clients in real-time.
For companies with global operations or clients in different time zones, video conferencing removes the geographical barriers to communication, making it easier to conduct business without costly travel. Whether you’re in the office, working from home, or on the go, the ability to hold face-to-face meetings with ease can significantly improve efficiency and collaboration.
Implementing ERP Software to Streamline Operations in Leverage Technology:
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is one of the most powerful tools a business can implement to enhance overall efficiency. An ERP system integrates various business functions, such as accounting, inventory management, human resources, customer relationship management (CRM), and supply chain management, into a single platform. This centralization of business data eliminates silos, reduces redundancies, and improves communication across departments.
For example, by integrating ERP software, managers and employees gain real-time access to vital business data, allowing them to make better-informed decisions. A sales team can see up-to-date inventory levels, helping them avoid over-promising products that are out of stock. Similarly, the finance department can track expenditures and revenue in real-time, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of the company’s financial health at all times. With the ability to manage operations from a single dashboard, businesses can increase accuracy, reduce errors, and save time spent on manual tasks.
ERP systems also help automate key business processes, such as order processing, billing, and procurement. Automation reduces the need for manual data entry and ensures that tasks are completed on time and without error. This not only helps you in saving time but also frees up the employees to focus more on strategic tasks, enhancing the overall employee productivity.
Enhance Workstations for Optimal Business Performance in Leverage Technology:
The productivity of employees is directly linked to the quality of their workstations and the Leverage technology they use. Outdated systems and slow networks can hinder business performance and cause frustration among employees. Upgrading workstations, whether it’s replacing outdated hardware, improving network infrastructure, or updating software applications, is crucial for ensuring that employees can work efficiently.
A key component of enhancing workstations is ensuring that all employees have access to the latest hardware and software. For instance, providing high-performance computers and laptops can help employees complete tasks faster, while updated operating systems and software can improve compatibility with modern applications and tools. It’s also important to ensure that your network infrastructure can handle the growing demands of cloud-based applications and video conferencing tools.
Alongside hardware upgrades, it’s essential to implement the latest software versions. This ensures that employees have access to the most secure, feature-rich, and efficient tools available. Furthermore, regularly updating systems helps prevent security vulnerabilities and ensures compliance with industry standards.
Working with a trusted IT service provider can help ensure that your Leverage technology infrastructure remains robust, secure, and optimized for performance. By investing in modern workstations, businesses can ensure that employees have the tools they need to succeed, ultimately improving productivity and operational efficiency.
The Role of Cloud Computing in Boosting Efficiency in Leverage Technology:
Another powerful tool for enhancing business efficiency is cloud computing. Cloud services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive allow businesses to store data securely in the cloud, providing employees with access to important files and applications from anywhere, at any time. This flexibility is particularly valuable in the age of remote work, as it enables employees to stay productive even when they are not physically in the office. Cloud platforms also foster collaboration, as employees can easily share files, collaborate on documents, and work on projects in real-time, regardless of their location. Moreover, cloud services often come with built-in security measures, such as data encryption and multi-factor authentication, ensuring that sensitive business data remains protected from cyber threats.
By adopting cloud computing solutions, businesses can reduce the need for on-site hardware, lower IT costs, and increase operational flexibility, allowing them to scale their operations more efficiently.
Conclusion:
The integration of Leverage technology into business operations has the power to significantly enhance efficiency, streamline communication, and improve collaboration. By adopting tools such as instant messaging software, video conferencing, ERP systems, upgraded workstations, and cloud computing, companies can create a more productive and agile workforce. These strategies not only save valuable time and resources but also contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. As Leverage technology continues to advance, businesses must stay ahead of the curve by leveraging these tools to unlock the full potential of their teams. By embracing digital transformation, companies can set themselves up for long-term success in a fast-evolving business landscape.

4 Trends That Are Shaping the Future of Flexible Workspaces
Imagine choosing between a well-designed workspace for a seamless work experience or a migraine-inducing traditional cubicle flooded with random things. The choice is obvious: most professionals would choose the former option. Modern office spaces have features and benefits that people can’t resist. The demand for a fully functional and aesthetically pleasant environment contributes greatly to the rising popularity of flexible workspaces. These shared office spaces are perfect for professionals seeking an alternative to traditional offices and a distraction-free work environment.
The demand for coworking spaces is not to escape conventional office settings; their functionality and comfort are unavoidable. These spaces provide a professional yet creative atmosphere supplemented with thematic architecture, ergonomic furniture, and the opportunity to work with like-minded people. While looking at the current popularity of shared office spaces, one question that automatically pops up is: Is this a future workspace? To find an unbiased answer, let’s explore this blog.
How did the concept of flexible workspaces develop?
The main reasons for the development of modern office space are technological advancements, economic shifts, and globalization. Initially, these workspaces were the cost-effective alternative for writers, small businesses, and freelancers. By passing years, technological advancements led to the creation of shared office environments where individuals could work independently while enjoying the benefits of a community. Hackerspace, the first known shared office space, was established in Berlin in 1995. This concept gained traction in the late 2000s, and since then, there has been no looking back.
Today, modern office spaces serve all the needs of the workforce – comfortable workplaces, flexibility, and contemporary amenities as per the specific needs of professionals and businesses. The rate at which the popularity of shared office spaces is increasing, and it may keep evolving with time to support collaboration across different industries.
How Flexible WorkSpaces Are Transforming the Future of Work
Coworking spaces offer a zestful and collaborative environment. These features help employers retain employees and help employees work efficiently. All these benefits and features cater to the evolving needs of today’s workforce.
Here are 4 Trends That Are Shaping the Future of Flexible Workspaces:
The world of work is constantly growing, and flexible office spaces are an integral part of this transformation. In this world of work, businesses and employees are revamping their ways of working. To foster this evolution, several emerging trends are redefining what office spaces look like and how they function. Here are four key trends shaping the future of flexible workspaces:
Hybrid Work Models
During lockdown, staying at home and working for safety was necessary. Over time, people adapted to this work setting and found WFH convenient. After the lockdown, most of the workforce demanded WFH, but employers were not entirely convenient, so hybrid work models benefit both parties. The hybrid work model combines remote work and on-site work and is becoming increasingly popular. This approach allows employees to enjoy the benefits of both worlds: the convenience and flexibility of working from home and the office’s collaborative environment.
How it impacted workspaces:
Work-Life Balance: The hybrid model is ideal for employers and employees to maintain work-life balance and work efficiency. It is a crucial factor for employee retention and satisfaction at the workplace.
Tech-driven workspace: Advanced technology solutions, such as video conferencing facilities and collaborative software, are essential to support seamless communication between remote and on-site teams.
Redefining Design: Shared office spaces are more adaptive and flexible, so they can accommodate both remote and in-office workers.
Tech-Driven Office Solutions
Life without technology is next to impossible these days, and so is work. Technological advancements are the major reasons for the evolution of flexible office spaces. From biometric authentication to AI-driven functionalities, everything is the outcome of technology integration.
How it impacted workspaces:
Smart Offices: Integrating smart office solutions such as access control, climate control, and emergency alarms creates a comfortable and convenient environment, and who doesn’t like comfort?
Automation: Automated systems for repetitive tasks, integration of automated coffee machines, access management, and analytics and reporting improve the work experience.
Virtual-Office Tools: Advanced tools and subscriptions to the virtual platforms help to work seamlessly virtually.
Health and Wellness Focus
The recent COVID pandemic enlightened the human race about the importance of health. People now understand that if you lose wealth, you lose something, but if you lose health, you lose everything.
How it impacted workspaces:
Wellness Sessions: Many coworking spaces arrange on-site yoga sessions, mental health support, and professional growth seminars to promote overall well-being.
Open Office Layout: These kinds of office spaces are designed with an open layout and are regularly sanitized, unlike traditional, closely spaced workspaces.
Biophillic Interior: Integrating indoor plants, a strategically located natural light source and lively colors transform the boring workplace into a creative work hub.
Community and Networking Opportunities
How it impacted workspaces:
Expert Seminars: Many coworking spaces organize workshops, social gatherings, and seminars for professionals to help them enhance their skills and grow careers.
Like-minded Peers: In coworking spaces, people from different industries come to work so you can meet new people from various industries every day. Interaction with them helps you grow the horizon of your knowledge and grow your professional network.
Collaborative Spaces: Different areas in coworking spaces, such as cafeterias, kitchen areas, lounges, and play zones, encourage spontaneous interaction among members and help form new connections.
In Conclusion: These modern-day trends of lavish office space are shaping the future of modern office spaces. These trends contribute highly to creating flexible, adaptive, efficient, and user-friendly work environments. With the changing work landscape, contemporary office spaces will play a crucial role in supporting the evolving needs of the workforce across different industries. Flexible workspaces offer comfort and help employees stay productive while working. By following the above trends, workspace providers can remain competent and relevant in this continuously evolving world of modern office spaces.

Best Graphics Design Company in Canada: What to Look For
Graphic design is a powerful tool that shapes brand identity, enhances marketing campaigns, and elevates user experiences. Whether you're a startup looking for a brand identity or an established business aiming for a design revamp, finding the best graphics design company in Canada is crucial. But how do you determine which company is truly the best without relying on a predefined list?
In this blog, we’ll explore the essential factors to consider when choosing the best graphics design company in Canada, what services they should offer, and why investing in high-quality graphic design is a game-changer for your business.
Why Graphic Design Matters for Your Business
Graphic design is more than just aesthetics—it’s about communication. A well-designed logo, website, or marketing material helps convey your brand’s message effectively. Here are some reasons why great graphic design is essential:
First Impressions Matter – Your visual branding is often the first thing potential customers notice. A professional design can establish credibility and trust instantly.
Enhances Brand Identity – A strong visual identity, including logos, color schemes, and typography, sets your brand apart from competitors.
Boosts Engagement – Eye-catching graphics in social media, websites, and advertisements lead to higher engagement rates.
Improves User Experience – Thoughtful UI/UX design enhances usability and keeps customers coming back.
Drives Conversions – Effective design elements, such as call-to-action buttons and compelling visuals, can influence customer decisions.
What to Look for in the Best Graphics Design Company in Canada
When searching for the best graphics design company in Canada, it’s essential to evaluate various factors beyond just a portfolio. Here’s what to consider:
Expertise and Experience
A top-tier graphic design company should have extensive experience in branding, digital design, and marketing materials. Look for a company that has worked with businesses similar to yours and has a deep understanding of your industry.
Creative Portfolio
Reviewing a company’s past work can give you insights into their creativity, versatility, and attention to detail. A strong portfolio should showcase a variety of projects, including logos, packaging, social media graphics, and website designs.
Client Testimonials and Reviews
Customer feedback is a strong indicator of a company’s reliability and quality of work. Check online reviews, testimonials, and case studies to gauge client satisfaction and project outcomes.
Range of Services
A well-rounded graphic design company should offer a variety of services, including:
Logo and brand identity design
Website and UI/UX design
Print and digital marketing materials
Packaging and product design
Social media graphics
Motion graphics and video production
Innovative and Trend-Aware
Design trends evolve constantly. The best graphics design company in Canada should stay updated with the latest trends in typography, color theory, and digital design while also incorporating timeless elements to ensure longevity.
Customization and Flexibility
Every business is unique, and a great design company will take the time to understand your brand’s vision and tailor their services to meet your specific needs.
Affordability and Value for Money
While pricing shouldn’t be the only deciding factor, ensure the company provides transparent pricing and delivers high value for your investment.
Benefits of Hiring a Professional Graphic Design Company
Saves Time and Effort
Instead of struggling with DIY design tools, hiring professionals allows you to focus on your core business while ensuring high-quality results.
Consistent Branding
A professional design company ensures consistency across all branding materials, reinforcing brand recognition.
Access to Advanced Tools and Techniques
Professional designers use industry-leading software like Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring high-quality visuals and innovative design solutions.
Strategic Approach
Great design is not just about looking good—it’s about strategic storytelling. A top graphic design company will align design elements with your business goals.
How to Choose the Right Graphic Design Company for Your Business
To find the best graphics design company in Canada, follow these steps:
Define Your Design Needs – Determine what services you require and the goals of your design project.
Research and Shortlist Companies – Look at company websites, portfolios, and reviews.
Ask the Right Questions – Inquire about their process, turnaround times, and pricing.
Request a Proposal – Get quotes and proposals to compare value and services.

The Hidden Costs of Ignoring Technical Debt #sonos
Sonos Hardware is excellent. Software impedes Hardware sales :/ Basic features are not usable anymore :/
Earlier this year, Sonos, the well-known premium audio company, faced a major crisis after the disastrous launch of its updated app in May 2023. As reported by Bloomberg, the release was one of the most problematic in recent memory, leading to a projected $200 million shortfall in the company’s annual revenue target. The issues stemmed from long-standing technical debt—a common problem in many software companies that, if left unchecked, can result in significant damage.
According to Bloomberg, Sonos had been grappling with legacy code for years. The company's app, which allows customers to manage and set up their speakers, was built on outdated infrastructure that had been repeatedly patched and modified over two decades. When Sonos finally embarked on a full revamp of the app in mid-2022, it became clear that much of the work involved untangling the existing code rather than introducing new functionality. The overhaul was driven by the impending release of Sonos Ace, the company’s first fully mobile product that doesn’t rely on home or office Wi-Fi.
The urgency to launch Sonos Ace, combined with pressure from investors, led to the company releasing the app before it was ready. As Bloomberg reports, critical bugs were left unresolved, and some functionalities were missing entirely. In the weeks following the launch, customer complaints surged, and Sonos’ reputation took a severe hit. The company's CEO, Patrick Spence, later admitted in a video message to staff, “We fully intend to enshrine the lessons coming out of this difficult chapter,” acknowledging the missteps that occurred, as detailed in Bloomberg’s coverage.
This incident is a glaring example of how technical debt, if allowed to accumulate, can snowball into a major crisis. via https://www.mimrr.com/blog/sonos-app-failure-the-hidden-costs-of-ignoring-technical-debt Personal Update from the CEO https://www.sonos.com/de-ch/blog/update-on-the-sonos-app
